In this paper, some iterative schemes are given to approximate a fixed point of the nonexpansive non-self-mapping and nonexpansive self-mapping. Furthermore, the strong convergence of the scheme to a fixed point is shown in a Banach space with uniformly Gâteaux differentiable norm. The theorems extend and improve some corresponding results of Matsushita and Takahashi [S. Matsushita, W. Takahashi, Strong convergence theorems for nonexpansive nonself-mappings without boundary conditions, Nonlinear Anal. 68 (2008) 412–419], Chang et al. [S.S. Chang, H.W. Joseph Lee, C.K. A new condition for mappings, called condition (C), which is more general than nonexpansiveness, was recently introduced by Suzuki [T. Suzuki, Fixed point theorems and convergence theorems for some generalized nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 340 (2008) 1088-1095]. Following the idea of Kirk and Massa Theorem in [W.A. Kirk, S. Massa, Remarks on asymptotic and Chebyshev centers, Houston J. Math. 16 (1990) 364-375], we prove a fixed point theorem for mappings with condition (C) on a Banach space such that its asymptotic center in a bounded closed and convex subset of each bounded sequence is nonempty and compact. This covers a result obtained by Suzuki [T. Suzuki, Fixed point theorems and convergence theorems for some generalized nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 340 (2008) 1088-1095]. We also present fixed point theorems for this class of mappings defined on weakly compact convex subsets of Banach spaces satisfying property (D). Consequently, we extend the results in [T. Suzuki, Fixed point theorems and convergence theorems for some generalized nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 340 (2008) 1088-1095] to many other Banach spaces.  相似文献

Viscosity approximation methods for a family of finite nonexpansive mappings are established in Banach spaces. The main theorems extend the main results of Moudafi [Viscosity approximation methods for fixed-points problems, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 241 (2000) 46–55] and Xu [Viscosity approximation methods for nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 298 (2004) 279–291] to the case of finite mappings. The purpose of this paper is to introduce a new hybrid projection algorithm for finding a common element of the set of common fixed points of two relatively quasi-nonexpansive mappings and the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem in the framework of Banach spaces. Our results improve and extend the corresponding results announced by Takahashi and Zembayashi [W. Takahashi, K. In this paper, we introduce a composite iterative scheme by viscosity approximation method for finding a zero of an accretive operator in Banach spaces. Then, we establish strong convergence theorems for the composite iterative scheme. The main theorems improve and generalize the recent corresponding results of Kim and Xu [T.H. Kim, H.K. In this paper, we established strong convergence theorems for a common fixed point of two asymptotically nonexpansive mappings and for a common fixed point of two asymptotically nonexpansive semigroups by using the hybrid method in a Hilbert space. Moreover, we also proved a strong convergence theorem for a common fixed point of two nonexpansive mappings. Our results extend and improve the recent ones announced by Kim and Xu [T.W. Kim, H.W. The purpose of this paper is to propose a modified block iterative algorithm for find a common element of the set of common fixed points of an infinite family of quasi-?-asymptotically nonexpansive mappings and the set of an equilibrium problem. Under suitable conditions, some strong convergence theorems are established in a uniformly smooth and strictly convex Banach space with the Kadec-Klee property. As an application, at the end of the paper a numerical example is given. The results presented in the paper improve and extend the corresponding results in Qin et al. [Convergence theorems of common elements for equilibrium problems and fixed point problem in Banach spaces, J. Comput. Appl. Math., 225, 2009, 20-30], Zhou et al. The purpose of this article is to prove strong convergence theorems for common fixed points of two countable families of weak relatively nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces. In order to get the strong convergence theorems, the monotone hybrid algorithms are presented and are used to approximate the common fixed points. Using this result, we also discuss the problem of strong convergence concerning the maximal monotone operators in a Banach space. The results of this article modify and improve the results of Matsushita and Takahashi [S. Matsushita, W. The purpose of this article is to prove some approximation theorems of common fixed points for countable families of total quasi-?-asymptotically nonexpansive mappings which contain several kinds of mappings as its special cases in Banach spaces. In order to get the approximation theorems, the hybrid algorithms are presented and are used to approximate the common fixed points. In this paper we propose a new modified Mann iteration for computing common fixed points of nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space. We give certain different control conditions for the modified Mann iteration. Then, we prove strong convergence theorems for a countable family of nonexpansive mappings in uniformly smooth Banach spaces. These results improve and extend results of Kim and Xu [T.H. Kim, H.K. The purpose of this article is to prove strong convergence theorems for common fixed points of two closed hemi-relatively nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces. In order to get the strong convergence theorems, the monotone hybrid algorithms are presented and are used to approximate the common fixed points. Finally, a new simplified hybrid algorithm has been proposed and relative convergence theorem has been proved by using the new method for proofs. The results of this article modify and improve the results of Matsushita, Takahashi [S. Matsushita, W. In this paper, we first prove two fixed points theorems for one-parameter asymptotically nonexpansive semigroups in general Banach spaces. Using these results, we prove a strong convergence theorem of Mann's type sequences for the asymptotically nonexpansive semigroups. This is a generalization of the result of Suzuki and Takahashi for one-parameter nonexpansive semigroups in general Banach spaces.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove three strong convergence theorems of modified Mann iteration for relatively asymptotically nonexpansive mappings, relatively nonexpansive mappings, and maximal monotone operators in a Banach space, respectively. Our results extend and improve the recent ones announced by Nakajo, Takahashi, Matsushita, Kim, Martinez-Yanex, Xu, and some others.  相似文献

In this paper, we established two strong convergence theorems for a multi-step Noor iterative scheme with errors for mappings of asymptotically nonexpansive in the intermediate sense(asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive, respectively) in Banach spaces. Our results extend and improve the recent ones announced by Xu and Noor [B.L. Xu, M.A. Noor, Fixed-point iterations for asymptotically nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces, J. Math. Anal. Nakajo and Takahashi [K. Nakajo, W. Takahashi, Strong convergence theorems for nonexpansive mappings and nonexpansive semigroups, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 279 (2003) 372–379] proved strong convergence theorems for nonexpansive mappings, nonexpansive semigroups and the proximal point algorithm for zero-point of monotone operators in Hilbert spaces by the CQ iteration method. The purpose of this paper is to modify the CQ iteration method of K. Nakajo and W. Takahashi using the monotone CQ method, and to prove strong convergence theorems. In the proof process of this article, the Cauchy sequence method is used, so we proceed without use of the demiclosedness principle and Opial’s condition, and other weak topological techniques.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove a strong convergence theorem by the hybrid method for a family of nonexpansive mappings which generalizes Nakajo and Takahashi's theorems [K. Nakajo, W. Takahashi, Strong convergence theorems for nonexpansive mappings and nonexpansive semigroups, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 279 (2003) 372-379], simultaneously. Furthermore, we obtain another strong convergence theorem for the family of nonexpansive mappings by a hybrid method which is different from Nakajo and Takahashi. Using this theorem, we get some new results for a single nonexpansive mapping or a family of nonexpansive mappings in a Hilbert space.  相似文献

In this paper, a strong convergence theorem for asymptotically nonexpansive mappings in a uniformly convex and smooth Banach space is proved by using metric projections. This theorem extends and improves the recent strong convergence theorem due to Matsushita and Takahashi [S. Matsushita, W. Takahashi, Approximating fixed points of nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space by metric projections, Appl. Math. Comput. 196 (2008) 422–425] which was established for nonexpansive mappings.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove strong convergence theorems by the hybrid method for a family of hemi-relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space. Our results improve and extend the corresponding results given by Qin et al. [Xiaolong Qin, Yeol Je Cho, Shin Min Kang, Haiyun Zhou, Convergence of a modified Halpern-type iteration algorithm for quasi-?-nonexpansive mappings, Appl. Math. Lett. 22 (2009) 1051-1055], and at the same time, our iteration algorithm is different from the Kimura and Takahashi algorithm, which is a modified Mann-type iteration algorithm [Yasunori Kimura, Wataru Takahashi, On a hybrid method for a family of relatively nonexpansive mappings in Banach space, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 357 (2009) 356-363]. In addition, we succeed in applying our algorithm to systems of equilibrium problems which contain a family of equilibrium problems.  相似文献
