In this paper, we study the wave-breaking phenomena and global existence for the generalized two-component Hunter–Saxton system in the periodic setting. We first establish local well-posedness for the generalized two-component Hunter–Saxton system. We obtain a wave-breaking criterion for solutions and results of wave-breaking solutions with certain initial profiles. We also determine the exact blow-up rate of strong solutions. Finally, we give a sufficient condition for global solutions.  相似文献

In this paper, we study exterior Neumann problems with an asymptotically linear nonlinearity. We establish the existence of ground state solutions. Abstract

We analyze the Ericksen–Leslie system equipped with the Oseen–Frank energy in three space dimensions. Recently, the author introduced the concept of dissipative solutions. These solutions show several advantages in comparison to the earlier introduced measure-valued solutions. In this article, we argue that dissipative solutions can be numerically approximated by a relatively simple scheme, which fulfills the norm-restriction on the director in every step. We introduce a semi-discrete scheme and derive an approximated version of the relative-energy inequality for solutions of this scheme. Passing to the limit in the semi-discretization, we attain dissipative solutions. Additionally, we introduce an optimal control scheme, showing the existence of an optimal control and a possible approximation strategy. We prove that the cost functional is lower semi-continuous with respect to the convergence of this approximation and argue that an optimal control is attained in the case that there exists a solution admitting additional regularity.  相似文献

In this paper we consider positive solutions of second order quasilinear ordinary differential equations with singular nonlinearities. We obtain asymptotic equivalence theorems for asymptotically superlinear solutions and decaying solutions. By using these theorems, exact asymptotic forms of such solutions are determined. Furthermore, we can establish the uniqueness of decaying solutions as an application of our results.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the decomposition of the filtration of the Nehari manifold via the variation of domain shape. We use this result to prove that the semilinear elliptic equation in a finite strip with hole has at least four 2-nodal solutions (solutions with precisely two nodal domains). Furthermore, we can describe the bump location of these solutions.  相似文献

In this paper we address bargaining games where the agents have to take into account different criteria to value the decisions. We propose the class of generalized maximin solutions, as the natural extension for these games of the maximin solutions in conventional bargaining. In order to refine this solution concept, we define a multicriteria lexicographic partial ordering and present the class of generalized leximin solutions as those that are nondominated with respect to this relation. We establish some properties of these solutions and characterize them as solutions of multicriteria problems. In this paper, we study solution structures of the following generalized Lennard-Jones system in R~n,x=(-α/|x|~(α+2)+β/|x|~(β+2))x,with 0 α β. Considering periodic solutions with zero angular momentum, we prove that the corresponding problem degenerates to 1-dimensional and possesses infinitely many periodic solutions which must be oscillating line solutions or constant solutions. Considering solutions with non-zero angular momentum, we compute Morse indices of the circular solutions first, and then apply the mountain pass theorem to show the existence of non-circular solutions with non-zero topological degrees. We further prove that besides circular solutions the system possesses in fact countably many periodic solutions with arbitrarily large topological degree, infinitely many quasi-periodic solutions, and infinitely many asymptotic solutions.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with a doubly degenerate parabolic equation with logistic periodic sources. We are interested in the discussion of the asymptotic behavior of solutions of the initial-boundary value problem. In this paper, we first establish the existence of non-trivial nonnegative periodic solutions by a monotonicity method. Then by using the Moser iterative method, we obtain an a priori upper bound of the nonnegative periodic solutions, by means of which we show the existence of the maximum periodic solution and asymptotic bounds of the nonnegative solutions of the initial-boundary value problem. We also prove that the support of the non-trivial nonnegative periodic solution is independent of time.  相似文献

In this paper we present some quite simple results concerning almost-periodic solutions of abstract differential equations. We start with a general proposition about linear equations, then we establish some new facts about bounded or relatively compact solutions which become almost-periodic; finally, we study “separation from 0 properties” of non-trivial almost-periodic solutions for equations with bounded or unbounded operator coefficients.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the multiobjective version of the set covering problem. To our knowledge, this problem has only been addressed in two papers before, and with two objectives and heuristic methods. We propose a new heuristic, based on the two-phase Pareto local search, with the aim of generating a good approximation of the Pareto efficient solutions. In the first phase of this method, the supported efficient solutions or a good approximation of these solutions is generated. Then, a neighborhood embedded in the Pareto local search is applied to generate non-supported efficient solutions. In order to get high quality results, two elaborate local search techniques are considered: a large neighborhood search and a variable neighborhood search. We intensively study the parameters of these two techniques. We compare our results with state-of-the-art results and we show that with our method, better results are obtained for different indicators.  相似文献

In this work we study the existence of periodic solutions for some partial functional differential equation with infinite delay. We assume that the linear part is not necessarily densely defined and satisfies the known Hille-Yosida condition. Firstly, we give some estimates of the solutions. Secondly, we prove that the Poincaré map is condensing which allows us to prove the existence of periodic solutions when the solutions are ultimately bounded.  相似文献

We apply the method of homotopy analysis to the Zakharov system with dissipation in order to obtain analytical solutions, treating the auxiliary linear operator as a time evolution operator. Evolving the approximate solutions in time, we construct approximate solutions which depend on the convergence control parameters. In the situation where solutions are strongly coupled, there will be multiple convergence control parameters. In such cases, we will pick the convergence control parameters to minimize a sum of squared residual errors. We explain the error minimization process in detail, and then demonstrate the method explicitly on several examples of the Zakharov system held subject to specific initial data. With this, we are able to efficiently obtain approximate analytical solutions to the Zakharov system of minimal residual error using approximations with relatively few terms.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the asymptotic behavior of solutions for a general class of fractional integro-differential equations. We consider the Caputo fractional derivative. Reasonable sufficient conditions under which the solutions behave like power functions at infinity are established. For this purpose, we use and generalize some well-known integral inequalities. It was found that the solutions behave like the solutions of the associated linear differential equation with zero right hand side. Our findings are supported by examples.  相似文献

In this paper, we study a final value problem for first order abstract differential equation with positive self-adjoint unbounded operator coefficient. This problem is ill-posed. Perturbing the final condition we obtain an approximate nonlocal problem depending on a small parameter. We show that the approximate problems are well posed and that their solutions converge if and only if the original problem has a classical solution. We also obtain estimates of the solutions of the approximate problems and a convergence result of these solutions. Finally, we give explicit convergence rates.  相似文献

We study the problem of finding time-periodic solutions of a parabolic equation with the homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition and with a discontinuous nonlinearity. We assume that the nonlinearity is equal to the difference of two superpositionally measurable functions nondecreasing with respect to the state variable. For such a problem, we prove the principle of lower and upper solutions for the existence of strong solutions without additional constraints on the “jumping-up” discontinuities in the nonlinearity. We obtain existence theorems for strong solutions of this class of problems, including theorems on the existence of two nontrivial solutions.  相似文献

In this paper we present a general method to study stochastic equations for a broader class of driving noises. We explain the main principles of this approach in the case of stochastic differential equations driven by a Wiener process. As a result we construct strong solutions of Itô equations with discontinuous and even functional coefficients. We point out that our construction of solutions does not rely on a pathwise uniqueness argument. Further we find that solutions of a larger class of Itô diffusions actually live in a Fréchet space, which is substantially smaller than the Meyer–Watanabe test function space.  相似文献
