Based on abstract interpolation, we prove asymptotic formulae for the (F,2)-summing norm of inclusions id: , where E and F are two Banach sequence spaces. Here, stands for the unitary ideal of operators on the n-dimensional Hilbert space whose singular values belong to E, and for the Hilbert-Schmidt operators. Our results are noncommutative analogues of results due to Bennett and Carl, as well as their recent generalizations to Banach sequence spaces. As an application, we give lower and upper estimates for certain s-numbers of the embeddings id: and id: . In the concluding section, we finally consider mixing norms. The modified Ariki-Koike algebra is a variation of the original Ariki-Koike algebra over an integral domain R. When R is a rational function field over the independent parameters, But for general R, is not isomorphic to , and has a simpler structure than . In this paper, we construct a cellular basis of which has a similar property as the cellular basis of introduced by Dipper-James-Mathas. By comparing these two cellular bases, we obtain some estimate on the decomposition numbers of in terms of the decomposition numbers of . We also prove the integral form of the Schur-Weyl reciprocity between a certain quantum algebra Uq and on the tensor space   相似文献

The purpose of this article is to introduce an Eilenberg-Moore spectral sequence converging to the cohomology algebra of a function space with an adjunction space as its source. Computability of the spectral sequence is shown by determining explicitly the mod p cohomology algebra of the function space of maps from a non-orientable surface S to the classifying space of a simply-connected Lie group G whose homology is p-torsion free. Let M be a closed orientable 3-dimensional manifold. Applying the spectral sequence obtained from a Heegaard splitting of the manifold M, we also prove that is a direct summand of .Mathematics Subject Classification (2000):55T20, 57T35This research was partially supported by a Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C)14540095 from Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.  相似文献

This paper addresses a multi-stage stochastic integer programming formulation of the uncapacitated lot-sizing problem under uncertainty. We show that the classical (ℓ,S) inequalities for the deterministic lot-sizing polytope are also valid for the stochastic lot-sizing polytope. We then extend the (ℓ,S) inequalities to a general class of valid inequalities, called the inequalities, and we establish necessary and sufficient conditions which guarantee that the inequalities are facet-defining. A separation heuristic for inequalities is developed and incorporated into a branch-and-cut algorithm. A computational study verifies the usefulness of the inequalities as cuts. A hypergraph is τ-critical if τ(−{E})<τ() for every edge E ∈ , where τ() denotes the transversal number of . We show that if is a connected τ-critical hypergraph, then −{E} can be partitioned into τ()−1 stars of size at least two, for every edge E ∈ . An immediate corollary is that a connected τ-critical hypergraph has at least 2τ()−1 edges. This extends, in a very natural way, a classical theorem of Gallai on colour-critical graphs, and is equivalent to a theorem of Füredi on t-stable hypergraphs. We deduce a lower bound on the size of τ-critical hypergraphs of minimum degree at least two.  相似文献

Let R be a positive normal affine semigroup ring of dimension d and let be the maximal homogeneous ideal of R. We show that the integral closure of is equal to for all n ∈ℕ with nd − 2. From this we derive that the Rees algebra R[t] is normal in case that d ≤ 3. If emb dim(R) = d + 1, we can give a necessary and sufficient condition for R[t] to be normal.  相似文献

The aim of this note is to understand under which conditions invertible modules over a commutative -algebra in the sense of Elmendorf, Kriz, Mandell & May give rise to elements in the algebraic Picard group of invertible graded modules over the coefficient ring by taking homotopy groups. If a connective commutative -algebra R has coherent localizations for every maximal ideal , then for every invertible R-module U, U*=π*U is an invertible graded R*-module. In some non-connective cases we can carry the result over under the additional assumption that the commutative -algebra has ‘residue fields’ for all maximal ideals if the global dimension of R* is small or if R is 2-periodic with underlying Noetherian complete local regular ring R0. We apply these results to finite abelian Galois extensions of Lubin-Tate spectra.  相似文献

Let be a C*-algebra, a subalgebra of its center and Φ: → a tracial faithful conditional expectation. We define the positive projective space as the quotient where G+ is the space of positive invertible elements of , and if there exists g invertible in such that a′ = |g|2a. When is abelian, this space is a set of representatives for probability densities equivalent to a given one. The aim of this paper is to endow ℙ+ with differentiable structure, a linear connection and a Finsler metric. This is done in a way that given any pair of elements in ℙ+, there is a unique geodesic of this connection, which is the shortest curve joining such endpoints for the given metric. The metric space ℙ+ with the given geodesic distance is non positively curved.  相似文献

Given an undirected graph G=(V,E) and three specified terminal nodes t 1,t 2,t 3, a 3-cut is a subset A of E such that no two terminals are in the same component of G\A. If a non-negative edge weight c e is specified for each eE, the optimal 3-cut problem is to find a 3-cut of minimum total weight. This problem is -hard, and in fact, is max- -hard. An approximation algorithm having performance guarantee has recently been given by Călinescu, Karloff, and Rabani. It is based on a certain linear-programming relaxation, for which it is shown that the optimal 3-cut has weight at most times the optimal LP value. It is proved here that can be improved to , and that this is best possible. As a consequence, we obtain an approximation algorithm for the optimal 3-cut problem having performance guarantee . In addition, we show that is best possible for this algorithm. Research of this author was supported by NSERC PGSB. Research supported by a grant from NSERC of Canada.  相似文献

Let X be any Banach space and T a bounded operator on X. An extension of the pair (X,T) consists of a Banach space in which X embeds isometrically through an isometry i and a bounded operator on such that When X is separable, it is additionally required that be separable. We say that is a topologically transitive extension of (X, T) when is topologically transitive on , i.e. for every pair of non-empty open subsets of there exists an integer n such that is non-empty. We show that any such pair (X,T) admits a topologically transitive extension , and that when H is a Hilbert space, (H,T) admits a topologically transitive extension where is also a Hilbert space. We show that these extensions are indeed chaotic.Mathematics Subject Classification (2000): 47 A 16  相似文献

We study spectral multipliers of right invariant sub-Laplacians with drift on a connected Lie group G. The operators we consider are self-adjoint with respect to a positive measure , whose density with respect to the left Haar measure λG is a nontrivial positive character of G. We show that if p≠2 and G is amenable, then every spectral multiplier of extends to a bounded holomorphic function on a parabolic region in the complex plane, which depends on p and on the drift. When G is of polynomial growth we show that this necessary condition is nearly sufficient, by proving that bounded holomorphic functions on the appropriate parabolic region which satisfy mild regularity conditions on its boundary are spectral multipliers of . For a fixed rational point P E (K) on an elliptic curve, we consider the sequence of values (Fn (P))n1 of the division polynomials of E at P. For a finite field we prove that the sequence is periodic. For a local field we prove (under certain hypotheses) that there is a power q=pe so that for all m1, the limit of exists in K and is algebraic over We apply this result to prove an analogous p-adic limit and algebraicity result for elliptic divisibility sequences.Mathematics Subject Classification (1991): 11G07, 11D61, 14G20, 14H52The authors research supported by NSA grant H98230-04-1-0064.  相似文献

Let be an ideal of Noetherian ring R and let s be a non-negative integer. Let M be an R-module such that is finite R-module. If s is the first integer such that the local cohomology module is non -cofinite, then we show that is finite. In particular, the set of associated primes of is finite. Let be a local Noetherian ring and let M be a finite R-module.
