13C NMR chemical shifts delta(C)(C=N) were measured in CDCl3 for a wide set of mesogenic molecule model compounds, viz. the substituted benzylidene anilines p-X-C6H4CH=NC6H4-p-Y (X = NO2, CN, CF3, F, Cl, H, Me, MeO, or NMe2; Y = NO2, CN, F, Cl, H, Me, MeO, or NMe2). The substituent dependence of delta(C)(C=N) was used as a tool to study electronic substituent effects on the azomethine unit. The benzylidene substituents X have a reverse effect on delta(C)(C=N): electron-withdrawing substituents cause shielding, while electron-donating ones behave oppositely, the inductive effects clearly predominating over the resonance effects. In contrast, the aniline substituents Y exert normal effects: electron-withdrawing substituents cause deshielding, while electron-donating ones cause shielding of the C=N carbon, the strengths of the inductive and resonance effects being closely similar. Additionally, the presence of a specific cross-interaction between X and Y could be verified. The electronic effects of the neighboring aromatic ring substituents systematically modify the sensitivity of the C=N group to the electronic effects of the benzylidene or aniline ring substituents. Electron-withdrawing substituents on the aniline ring decrease the sensitivity of delta(C)(C=N) to the substitution on the benzylidine ring, while electron-donating substituents have the opposite effect. In contrast, electron-withdrawing substituents on the benzylidene ring increase the sensitivity of delta(C)(C=N) to the substituent on the aniline ring, while electron-donating substituents act in the opposite way. These results can be rationalized in terms of the substituent-sensitive balance of the electron delocalization (mesomeric effects). The present NMR characteristics are discussed as regards the computational literature data. Valuable information has been obtained on the effects of the substituents on the molecular core of the mesogenic model compounds.  相似文献

Carbonyl carbon (13)C NMR chemical shifts delta(C)(C[double bond]O) measured in this work for a wide set of substituted phenyl benzoates p-Y-C(6)H(4)CO(2)C(6)H(4)-p-X (X = NO(2), CN, Cl, Br, H, Me, or MeO; Y = NO(2), Cl, H, Me, MeO, or NMe(2) ) have been used as a tool to study substituent effects on the carbonyl unit. The goal of the work was to study the cross-interaction between X and Y in that respect. Both the phenyl substituents X and the benzoyl substituents Y have a reverse effect on delta(C)(C[double bond]O). Electron-withdrawing substituents cause shielding while electron-donating ones have an opposite influence, with both inductive and resonance effects being significant. The presence of cross-interaction between X and Y could be clearly verified. Electronic effects of the remote aromatic ring substituents systematically modify the sensitivity of the C[double bond]O group to the electronic effects of the phenyl or benzoyl ring substituents. Electron-withdrawing substituents in one ring decrease the sensitivity of delta(C)(C[double bond]O) to the substitution of another ring, while electron-donating substituents inversely affect the sensitivity. It is suggested that the results can be explained by substituent-sensitive balance of the contributions of different resonance structures (electron delocalization, Scheme 1).  相似文献

The disubstitution effects of X and Y in 1-(Y-phenyl)-3-(X-phenyl)-2,3-dihydro-1H-naphth[1,2-e][1,3]oxazines on the ring-chain tautomerism, the delocalization of the nitrogen lone pair (anomeric effect), and the (13)C NMR chemical shifts were analyzed by using multiple linear regression analysis. Study of the three-component equilibrium B<==>A<==>C revealed that the chain<==>trans (A<==>B) equilibrium constants are significantly influenced by the inductive effect (sigma(F)) of substituent Y on the 1-phenyl ring. In contrast, no significant substituent dependence on Y was observed for the chain<==>cis (A<==>C) equilibrium. There was an analogous dependence for the epimerization (C<==>B) constants of 1-(Y-phenyl)-3-alkyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-naphth[1,2-e][1,3]oxazines. With these model compounds, significant overlapping energies of the nitrogen lone pair was observed by NBO analysis in the trans forms B (to sigma*(C1-C1'), sigma*(C1-C10b), and sigma*(C3-O4)) and in the cis forms C (to sigma*(C1-H), sigma*(C1-C10b), and sigma*(C3-O4)). The effects of disubstitution revealed some characteristic differences between the cis and trans isomers. However, the results do not suggest that the anomeric effect predominates in the preponderance of the trans over the cis isomer. When the (13)C chemical shift changes induced by substituents X and Y (SCS) were subjected to multiple linear regression analysis, negative rho(F)(Y) and rho(F)(X) values were observed at C-1 and C-3 for both the cis and trans isomers. In contrast, the positive rho(R)(Y) values at C-1 and the negative rho(R)(X) values at C-3 observed indicated the contribution of resonance structures f (rho(R) > 0) and g (rho(R) < 0), respectively. The classical double bond-no-bond resonance structures proved useful in explaining the substituent sensitivities of the donation energies and the behavior of the SCS values.  相似文献

Structural data relating to 369 organic derivatives of C2X(X=N, O, Si, P, S) and CXY(X, Y=N, O) heterocycles have been retrieved from the Cambridge Crystallogrphic Database and analysed in conjuction with pertinent gas-phase results. Heterocycle geometries are compared with each other, and with those for the ‘parent’ carbocycles cyclopropane and cyclopropene. For saturated C2X rings the previously observed (gas phase) decrease in CC bond length (dcc) and bent-back angle (γ) with increasing heteroatom electronegativity (χx) are confirmed as linear relationships using mean solid state geometry for X=C, N, O, S. The CX bonds shows an effective increase in length with increasing χx, in line with their facile cleavage in ring opening reactions. A model for hybridization changes at C in saturated C2X rings is derived empirically and is in broad agreement with theoretical studies. There is no evidence for geometric variations in the heterocyclic rings induced by π-acceptor substituents, but π-donor substituent effects are directly comparable to those occurring in cyclopropane and cyclopropene. Geometric variations in unsaturated heterocycles are analogous to those in cyclopropene derivatives; CC double bond lengths in available C2X systems appear to indicate a πx dependence. Heteroatom-heteroatom bonds in CYX systems are weak, with N weaker than NN, in agreement with thermochemical reasoning.  相似文献

We studied electronic structures and reactivity patterns of azo-compound I species (RN-Cpd I) by comparison to O-Cpd I of, e.g., cytochrome P450. The study shows that the RN-Cpd I species are capable of C=C aziridination and C-H amidation, in a two-state mechanism similar to that of O-Cpd I. However, unlike O-Cpd I, here the nitrogen substituent (R) exerts a major impact on structure and reactivity. Thus, it is demonstrated that Fe=NR bonds of RN-Cpd I will generally be substantially longer than Fe=O bonds; electron-withdrawing R groups will generate a very long Fe=N bond, whereas electron-releasing R groups should have the opposite effect and hence a shorter Fe=N bond. The R substituent controls also the reactivity of RN-Cpd I toward C=C and C-H bonds by exerting steric and electronic effects. Our analysis shows that an electron-releasing substituent will lower the barriers for both bond activation reactions, since the electronic factor makes the reactions highly exothermic, while an electron-withdrawing one should raise both barriers. The steric bulk of the substituent is predicted to inhibit more strongly the aziridination reactions. It is predicted that electron-releasing substituents with small bulk will create powerful aziridination reagents, whereas electron-withdrawing substituents like MeSO(2) will prefer C-H bond activation with preference that increases with steric bulk. Finally, the study predicts (i) that the reactions of RN-Cpd I will be less stereospecific than those of O-Cpd I and (ii) that aziridination will be more stereoselective than amidation.  相似文献

The homolytic C-H bond dissociation enthalpies (BDEs) of toluene and its para- and meta-substituted derivatives have been estimated by using the (RO)B3LYP/6-311++G(2df,2p)//(U)B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) procedure. The performance of two other hybrid functionals of DFT, namely, B3PWP91 and O3LYP, has also been evaluated using the same basis sets and molecules. Our computed results are compared with the available experimental values and are found to be in good agreement. The (RO)B3LYP and (RO)O3LYP procedures are found to produce reliable BDEs for the C-H bonds in toluene and the C-X (X = F, Cl) bond in alpha-substituted toluene (C6H5-CH2X) and their substituted derivatives. The substituent effect on the BDE values has been analyzed in terms of the ground-state effect and the radical effect. The effect of polarization of the C-H bond on the substituent effect is also analyzed. The BDE(C-H) and BDE(C-X) values for alpha-substituted (X = F and Cl) toluenes with a set of para substituents are presented for the first time.  相似文献

The nature of bonding between N, P, and As constituent atoms in ylide systems with the R(3)XYR' formula (X = N, P, As; Y = N, P, As; R = F, H; R' = H, CH(3)) has been characterized by ab initio (MP2/6-311++G**) and density functional theory (B3LYP/6-311++G**) calculations. Its electronic structure has been analyzed through electron density with the quantum theory of atoms in molecules and the electron localization function (ELF). The characteristics of the central bond are inspected with the calculated rotational barriers. The results show that N has a behavior different from that of the remaining pnicogen atoms (P, As), where the bond is much stronger. Fluorine substituents strengthen the X-Y bond, reduce the bond distance, and increase the electron density in the central bond so that the substituent pulls charge from the bond in the pnicogen X atom. For the N-pnicogen ylides, the results showed different bonding characters between F and X atoms; depending on the position of the F atom, the difference of the bond character is sensed by the basin synaptic order, as it is deduced from the analysis of the ELF basins. The energy profiles of the rotational barriers have been calculated at the MP2/6-311++G** level, indicating that the electronegativity of the substituents is a relevant factor that has consequences in the characteristics of the X-Y bond.  相似文献

The electrochemical behavior of a series of symmetrical and unsymmetrical aryl-substituted acetophenone azines (1-X/Y, where X and Y are 4-NO2, 4-CN, H, 3-OCH3, 4-OCH3, 4-CH3, and 4-N(CH3)2) was studied in acetonitrile and N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) solution using cyclic voltammetry (CV). Compounds 1-X/Y, where neither X or Y are nitro substituents, undergo successive reduction to their radical anion (1-X/Y.-) and then dianion (1-X/Y2-), respectively. In all cases, the formation of the radical anion is completely reversible and the standard reduction potentials, Eo1-X/Y/1-X/Y.- could be determined. The reversibility of the second electron transfer is substituent dependent with certain dianions sufficiently basic to be protonated under our conditions. Standard reduction potentials (Eo1-X/Y/1-X/Y.-) for the formation of radical anions exhibit a large substituent effect with values differing by more than 0.66 V throughout the series going from 1-4-CN/4-CN to 1-4-OCH3/4-OCH3; similar substituent effects were determined for the formation of the dianion. The nitro-containing azines deviate from the above-mentioned behavior. With the exception of 1-4-NO2/4-NO2, they exhibit single electron waves that have values of Eo1-X/Y/1-X/Y.- within 40 mV of each other and thus the reduction is not subject to the same substituent effect as the other azines. 1-4-NO2/4-NO2 exhibits an Eo at a similar potential, but is a two-electron reversible wave with features indicative of a reduction system containing two localized, nonconjugated redox centers. The reduction potentials of all the aryl azines were correlated with Hammett sigma parameters to look at variations in Eo1-X/Y/1-X/Y.- vs SCE as a function of substituent. The small rho values in combination with the other electrochemical data provide support for single bond character of the N-N bond and evidence for a lack of strong electronic communication between the two aryl centers through the azomethine bonds, especially for those systems with electron-withdrawing groups.  相似文献

The substituent effect is usually considered by means of various Hammett-like substituent constants and is most often related to aromatic systems. Unlike this, we present results of our research on the influence of 27 substituents spanning a wide range of electronic properties, from strongly electron-withdrawing to strongly electron-donating, on the electron structure of X-substituted acetylenes and diacetylenes – thus the systems which until now have practically not been subject of any deeper studies. It is shown that the interaction through triple bond(s) is associated with a significant advantage of resonance effects and that the substituent effect transmitted by the C≡C−C≡C unit is about half of that transmitted by the C≡C unit alone. Substituent X mainly affects the closest carbon atom by means of proximity effect, hence changes of charge on this atom do not follow any substituent constants. The effect on further carbon atoms is much smaller. The presence of the C≡C−C≡C unit withdraws more charge from X than a triple bond alone, and hinders communication between X and the terminal H atom. Comparison of substituent effects to those present in X-substituted benzene derivatives shows that the electronic properties of the terminal hydrogen atom in acetylenes and diacetylenes are most similar to the electronic properties of ortho and para hydrogen atoms in X-substituted benzene derivatives.  相似文献

Molecular geometries of fifty-six metallatranes N(CH2CH2Y)3M-X and fifty-six carbon analogs HC(CH2CH2Y)3M-X (M = Si, Ge; X = H, Me, OH, F; Y = CH2, O, NH, NMe, NSiMe3, PH, S) were optimized by the DFT method. Correlations between changes in the bond orbital populations, electron density ρ(r), electron density laplacian ∇2ρ(r), |λ1|/λ3 ratio, electronic energy density E(r), bond lengths, and displacement of the central atom from the plane of three equatorial substituents and the nature of substituents X and Y were studied. As the number of electronegative substituents at the central atom increases, the M←N, M-X, and M-Y bond lengths decrease, while the M←N bond strength and the electron density at critical points of the M←N, M-X, and M-Y bonds increase. An increase in electronegativity of a substituent (X or Y) is accompanied by a decrease in the ionicities of the other bonds (M-X, M-Y, and M←N) formed by the central atom (Si, Ge). A new molecular orbital diagram for bond formation is proposed, which takes into account the interaction of all five substituents at the central atom (M = Si, Ge) in atrane molecules. Starting with the experimental results for the X-C bond lengths in this series of compounds, an attempt was made to explain the effect of the substituents R and Y on this bond length in the single molecules. Using the results of CNDO/2 calculations it can be shown why only the substituent Y has a dominant effect on the Si-C bond length in the silicon compounds, while the substituent R has a dominant effect on the C-C bond length in the carbon analogues.  相似文献

The total experimental charge density in (Z)-N-methyl-C-phenylnitrone (1) has been determined using high-resolution X-ray diffraction data in combination with neutron diffraction data measured at 100 K in terms of the rigid pseudoatom model. Multipole refinement converged at R = 0.03 for 7163 reflections with I > 2 sigma(I). Topological analysis of the total experimental charge density rho(r) and its Laplacian, -[symbol: see text]2 rho(r) and a comparison with high level theoretical gas-phase calculations reveals an unexpected electron distribution in the N-O group, both atoms having negative atomic charges, contrary to that commonly assumed in nitrone species. This observation is confirmed on examination of both the theoretical charges and the molecular electrostatic potential. Compound 1 contains a large number of hydrogen bonds and these are analysed using the atoms in molecules approach leading to quantitative values for bond strength, ranging from medium to very weak.  相似文献

For some time it has been assumed that the direction and magnitude of the effects of Y-substituents on the Z-X bond dissociation enthalpies (BDE's) in compounds of the general formula 4-YC(6)H(4)Z-X could be correlated with the polarity of the Z-X bond undergoing homolysis. Recently we have shown by DFT calculations on 4-YC(6)H(4)CH(2)-X (X = H, F, Cl, Br) that the effects of Y on CH(2)-X BDE's are small and roughly equal for each X, despite large changes in C-X bond polarity. We then proposed that when Y have significant effects on Z-X BDE's it is due to their stabilization or destabilization of the radical. This proposal has been examined by studying 4-YC(6)H(4)O-X BDE's for X = H, CH(3), and CH(2)C(6)H(5) both by theory and experiment. The magnitudes of the effects of Y on O-X BDE's were quantified by Hammett type plots of DeltaBDE's vs sigma(+) (Y). Calculations reveal that changes in O-X BDE's induced by changing Y are large and essentially identical (rho(+) = 6.7-6.9 kcal mol(-)(1)) for these three classes of compounds. The calculated rho(+) values are close to those obtained experimentally for X = H at ca. 300 K and for X = CH(2)C(6)H(5) at ca. 550 K. However, early literature reports of the effects of Y on O-X BDE's for X = CH(3) with measurements made at ca. 1000 K gave rho(+) approximately 3 kcal mol(-)(1). We have confirmed some of these earlier, high-temperature O-CH(3) BDE's and propose that at 1000 K, conjugating groups such as -OCH(3) are essentially free rotors, and no longer lie mainly in the plane of the aromatic ring. As a consequence, the 298 K DFT-calculated DeltaBDE for 4-OCH(3)-anisole of -6.1 kcal mol(-)(1) decreases to -3.8 kcal mol(-)(1) for free rotation, in agreement with the ca. 1000 K experimental value. In contrast, high-temperature O-CH(3) DeltaBDE's for three anisoles with strongly hindered substituent rotation are essentially identical to those that would be observed at ambient temperatures. We conclude that substituent effects measured at elevated temperatures may differ substantially from those appropriate for 298 K.  相似文献

Reaction of C(60) with CF(3)I at 550 degrees C, which is known to produce a single isomer of C(60)(CF(3))(2,4,6) and multiple isomers of C(60)(CF(3))(8,10), has now been found to produce an isomer of C(60)(CF(3))(6) with the C(s)-C(60)X(6) skew-pentagonal-pyramid (SPP) addition pattern and an epoxide with the C(s)-C(60)X(4)O variation of the SPP addition pattern, C(s)-C(60)(CF(3))(4)O. The structurally similar epoxide C(s)-C(60)(C(2)F(5))(4)O is one of the products of the reaction of C(60) with C(2)F(5)I at 430 degrees C. The three compounds have been characterized by mass spectrometry, DFT quantum chemical calculations, Raman, visible, and (19)F NMR spectroscopy, and, in the case of the two epoxides, single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The compound C(s)-C(60)(CF(3))(6) is the first [60]fullerene derivative with adjacent R(f) groups that are sufficiently sterically hindered to cause the (DFT-predicted) lengthening of the cage (CF(3))C-C(CF(3)) bond to 1.60 A as well as to give rise to a rare, non-fast-exchange-limit (19)F NMR spectrum at 20 degrees C. The compounds C(s)-C(60)(CF(3))(4)O and C(s)-C(60)(C(2)F(5))(4)O are the first poly(perfluoroalkyl)fullerene derivatives with a non-fluorine-containing exohedral substituent and the first fullerene epoxides known to be stable at elevated temperatures. All three compounds demonstrate that the SPP addition pattern is at least kinetically stable, if not thermodynamically stable, at temperatures exceeding 400 degrees C. The high-temperature synthesis of the two epoxides also indicates that perfluoroalkyl substituents can enhance the thermal stability of fullerene derivatives with other substituents.  相似文献

The mass spectral fragmentation patterns at 20 eV of twelve compounds of the type CF3CXYCF3 (X, Y =F, Cl, Br, I, H) and five compounds of the type CF3 CX2 Y (X, Y= F, Cl, Br) were analyzed. It was noted that the frequency of carbon–helogen and carbon–carbon bond cleavage was quite dependent on the substituents X and Y.  相似文献

The equilibrium electronic wave-functions for a series of fluoro- and chloro-ethanes and disilanes of general formula M2H6−nXn, (M=C, Si; X=F, Cl), were analysed by the most commonly used methods for electron distribution, using the Mulliken and Löwdin populations, natural atomic orbital (NAO) populations and atoms in molecules (AIM) electron densities. Although the numerical values for local atomic charges vary greatly, all the methods correlate, but in markedly differing ways. The Mulliken charges seem the most selective in relation to systematic change of substituents in the current type of molecular structure. A number of examples occur where the AIM charges at C, Si centres are effectively identical in different molecules, where some differences might have been anticipated. These are often distinguished by Mulliken populations. The fluoroethanes exemplify this, since a plot of the AIM charges (for example on either the F or H centres) against the Mulliken charges for all members of the series, shows three nearly parallel lines, corresponding to those centres with 0, 1 or 2 fluorine atoms on the centre under study. The bond critical points at which the AIM charges are determined seem to be counter to intuition in some cases. This is a density rather than atomic orbital size issue however. The Mulliken and NAO charges seem more reasonable than those from the AIM method. There is an unexpected correlation of the local bond dipoles from the Mulliken analyses, with the calculated equilibrium bond lengths. These correlations lead to bond length values for the non-polarised bonds MX, which agree with data based on covalent radii for some bonds.  相似文献

The intrinsic strength of pi interactions in conjugated and hyperconjugated molecules has been calculated using density functional theory by energy decomposition analysis (EDA) of the interaction energy between the conjugating fragments. The results of the EDA of the trans-polyenes H2C=CH-(HC=CH)n-CH=CH2 (n = 1-3) show that the strength of pi conjugation for each C=C moiety is higher than in trans-1,3-butadiene. The absolute values for the conjugation between Si=Si pi bonds are around two-thirds of the conjugation between C=C bonds but the relative contributions of DeltaE pi to DeltaE orb in the all-silicon systems are higher than in the carbon compounds. The pi conjugation between C=C and C=O or C=NH bonds in H2C=CH--C(H)=O and H2C=CH-C(H)=NH is comparable to the strength of the conjugation between C=C bonds. The pi conjugation in H2C=CH-C(R)=O decreases when R = Me, OH, and NH2 while it increases when R = halogen. The hyperconjugation in ethane is around a quarter as strong as the pi conjugation in ethyne. Very strong hyperconjugation is found in the central C-C bonds in cubylcubane and tetrahedranyltetrahedrane. The hyperconjugation in substituted ethanes X3C-CY3 (X,Y = Me, SiH3, F, Cl) is stronger than in the parent compound particularly when X,Y = SiH3 and Cl. The hyperconjugation in donor-acceptor-substituted ethanes may be very strong; the largest DeltaE pi value was calculated for (SiH3)3C-CCl3 in which the hyperconjugation is stronger than the conjugation in ethene. The breakdown of the hyperconjugation in X3C-CY3 shows that donation of the donor-substituted moiety to the acceptor group is as expected the most important contribution but the reverse interaction is not negligible. The relative strengths of the pi interactions between two C=C double bonds, one C=C double bond and CH3 or CMe3 substituents, and between two CH3 or CMe3 groups, which are separated by one C-C single bond, are in a ratio of 4:2:1. Very strong hyperconjugation is found in HC[triple bond]C-C(SiH3)3 and HC[triple bond]C-CCl3. The extra stabilization of alkenes and alkynes with central multiple bonds over their terminal isomers coming from hyperconjugation is bigger than the total energy difference between the isomeric species. The hyperconjugation in Me-C(R)=O is half as strong as the conjugation in H2C=CH-C(R)=O and shows the same trend for different substituents R. Bond energies and lengths should not be used as indicators of the strength of hyperconjugation because the effect of sigma interactions and electrostatic forces may compensate for the hyperconjugative effect.  相似文献

The reactions of bis- and tris(tert-butylethynyl)benzenes with dialkylgallium hydrides afforded two different types of products. 1,4-Di(tert-butylethynyl)benzene and dialkylgallium hydrides R(2)GaH bearing relatively small substituents (R = Et, nPr) gave the expected addition products with each C triple bond C triple bond inserted into a Ga-H bond. The intact GaR(2) groups are attached to those carbon atoms which are in alpha-position to the benzene rings, and intermolecular Ga-C interactions led to the formation of one-dimensional coordination polymers. In contrast secondary reactions with the release of the corresponding trialkylgallium derivatives GaR(3) (R = Et, nPr, iPr, CH(2)tBu, tBu) were observed for all hydrogallation reactions involving the trisalkyne 1,3,5-tris(tert-butylethynyl)benzene. A similar reaction was observed upon treatment of the 1,4-bisalkyne with a dialkylgallium hydride bearing a relatively bulky substituent (R = neopentyl). Cyclophane type molecules are formed in all these cases with two or three gallium atoms in the bridging positions between both benzene rings.  相似文献

Cyclopalladated tetranuclear Pd(II) complexes, [Pd2(micro-Cl)2(Y)]2 (Y = L1 or L2; H2L1 = di(2-pyridyl)-2,2'-bithiophene; H2L2 = 5,5'-di(2-pyridyl)-2,2':5',2'-terthiophene), containing two pyridyl-alpha, alpha'-disubstituted derivatives of thiophene were prepared. Treating these products with PR3 and subsequently with NaN3 produced the dinuclear Pd-azido complexes [(PR3)2(N3)Pd-Y-Pd(N3)(PR3)2] (Y = L1 or L2) or a cyclometallated complex [(PR3)(N3)Pd-Y'-Pd(N3)(PR3)] (Y' = C,N-L2). Reactions of these Pd-azido complexes with CN-Ar (Ar = 2,6-Me(2)C(6)H(3), 2,6-i-Pr(2)C(6)H(3)) or R-NCS (R = i-Pr, Et, allyl) led to the complexes containing end-on carbodiimido groups [(PMe3)2(N[double bond]C[double bond]N-Ar)Pd-Y-Pd(N[double bond]C[double bond]N-Ar)(PMe3)2] or S-coordinated tetrazole-thiolato groups {(PMe3)2[CN4(R)]S-Pd-Y-Pd-S[CN4)(R)](PMe3)2}. Interestingly, when treated with elemental sulfur, the carbodiimido complexes transformed into the cyclometallated derivatives, [(PMe3)(N[double bond]C[double bond]N-Ar)Pd-Y'-Pd(N[double bond]C[double bond]N-Ar)(PMe3)] (Y' = C,N-L1, C,N-L2). We also report the preparation of linear, thienylene-bridged dinuclear Pd complexes [L2(N3)Pd-X(or X')-Pd(N3)L2] (L = PMe3 or PMe2Ph; H2X = 2,2'-bithiophene or H2X' = 2,2':5',2'-terthiophene) and their reactivity toward organic isocyanide and isothiocyanates.  相似文献
