The present paper deals with best onesided approximation rate in Lp spaces ^~En(f)Lp of f∈C2π.Although it is clear that the estimate ^~E(f)Lp≤C‖f‖Lp cannot be correct for all f∈L^p2π in case p<∞, the question whether ~En(f)Lp≤Cω(f,n^-l)Lp or ^~En(f)Lp≤CEn(f)Lp holds for f∈ C2π remains totally untouched.Therefore it forms a basic problem to justify onesided approximation. The present paper will provide an answer to settle down the basis.  相似文献

In this paper, a natural R + n+1 extension of singular integrals, i.e.,T κ:fK t *t with K a standard C-Z kernel and ϕ usual one, is investigated. One of the main results is: Let (dμ, udx) ∈C1 and u-Mw, w∈A, then Tk is of type (Lp(udx), Lp(dμ)). In studying local harmonic analysis on the sphere Sn, R.S. Strichartz introduced certain zonal functions ϕ2(d(x, y)) which satisfy the equation , where Δz is the Laplace operator and δ−y the Dirac measure. The explicit expression of the constant a (λ) is given by R.S. Strichartz in the case that n is odd. Appyling the Apéry identity, we show in this paper that for n even, where wn-1 is the surface area of Sn-1, . The author's research was supported by a grant from NSFC.  相似文献

Let M be a compact minimal hypersurface of sphere Sn 1(1). Let (M) be H (r)-torus of sphere Sn 1 (1).Assume they have the same constant mean curvature H, the result in [1] is that ifSpec0(M, g) =Spec0((M), g),then for 3≤ n ≤ 6, r2≤n-1/n or n ≥ 6, r2 ≥ n-1, then M is isometric to (M). We improved the result and prove that: if Spec0(M,g) =Spec0((M),g), then M is isometric to (M). Generally, if Specp(M,g) =Specp((M),g), here p is fixed and satisfies that n(n - 1) ≠ 6p(n - p), then M is isometric to (M).  相似文献

Local splines are presented for the approximation of functions of one and many variables, which are analytic in the domains , where Ui(zi) is a unit disk in the complex plane Ci,i=1,2,…,l, l=1,2, …. Results are given for functions whose r-order derivatives belong to the Hardy's class Hp,1≤p≤∞. It is shown that the approximation converge to the function at the rate for functions of one variable and An−(r−1/p)/(l−1) for functions of l variables, where n is the number of points of local splines and A and C are positive constants. Let and let , where P c n denoles the Taylor polynomial to f at c of order n, where n is even. TA and TM are reach generalizations of the Trapezoidal rule and the midpoint rule, respectively, and are each exact for all polynomials of degree ≤n+1. We let L(f)=αTM(f)+(1−α)TA(f), where , to obtain a numerical integration rule L which is exact for all polynomials of degree≤n+3 (see Theorem 1). The case n=0 is just the classical Simpson's rule. We analyze in some detail the case n=2, where our formulae appear to be new. By replacing P (a+b) 2/n+1 (x) by the Hermite cubic interpolant at a and b, we obtain some known formulae by a different approach (see [1] and [2]). Finally we discuss some nonlinear numerical integration rules obtained by taking piecewise polynomials of odd degree, each piece being the Taylor polynomial of f at a and b, respectively. Of course all of our formulae can be compounded over subintervals of [a,b].  相似文献

This paper summarized recent achievements obtained by the authors about the box dimensions of the Besicovitch functions given byB(t) := ∞∑k=1 λs-2k sin(λkt),where 1 < s < 2, λk > 0 tends to infinity as k →∞ and λk satisfies λk 1/λk ≥λ> 1. The results show thatlimk→∞ log λk 1/log λk = 1is a necessary and sufficient condition for Graph(B(t)) to have same upper and lower box dimensions.For the fractional Riemann-Liouville differential operator Du and the fractional integral operator D-v,the results show that if λ is sufficiently large, then a necessary and sufficient condition for box dimension of Graph(D-v(B)),0 < v < s - 1, to be s - v and box dimension of Graph(Du(B)),0 < u < 2 - s, to be s uis also lim k→∞logλk 1/log λk = 1.  相似文献

Let be a polynomial degreen and let . Then according to Bernstein’s inequality ‖p’‖≤n‖p‖. It is a well known open problem to obtain inequality analogous to Bernstein’s inequality for the class IIn of polynomials satisfying p(z)≡znp(1/z). Here we obtain an inequality analogous to Bernstein’s inequality for a subclass of IIn. Our results include several of the known results as special cases.  相似文献

Define aui (or simply ai) = q r d ui - d-ui, bvj(or simply bj) = p r d vj - d-vj and Cwk (or simply ck) = p q d wk - d-wk as the scores of ui in U, vj in V and wk in Wrespectively. The set A of distinct scores of the vertices of D(U, V, W) is called its score set. In this paper, we prove that if a1 is a non-negative integer, ai(2≤i≤n - 1) are even positive integers and an is any positive integer, then for n≥3, there exists an oriented 3-partite graph with the score set A = {a1,2∑i=1 ai,…,n∑i=1 ai}, except when A = {0,2,3}. Summary Quaternion generalized fiber bundles are studied, both isomorphic to global tensorial product ordinary quaternion fiber bundles right and left respectively) and quite general ones. A cohomology class is considered which represents the obstruction in order the fiber bundle be a tensorial product. Several properties and a splitting principle are proved for bundles . On this ground and founding on a convenient bundle BE → X associated to jaz (that we call Bonan's bundle and for which ɛ( =ɛ(BE)) relations are stated among Stiefel-Whitney classes of , BE and the class ɛ.

This article is devoted to the study of representations of Ck { } functions f invariant with respect to finite Coxeter groups W in the form f=F op, where p is a base in the algebra of W-invariant polynomials. We examine the lowering of smoothness of F as compared with f and conclude that this lowering has an anisotropic nature and that, more precisely, at each point Po it is described by a vector { }. We examine the cases W=An, Bn, Dn, { }; in each case the greatest component { } of { } is equal to the Coxeter number of the stabilizer Wyo of the point yo, where po=p(yo). Bibliography: 22 titles.
