Let m be a positive integer, not divisible by 2, 3, 5, 7. We generalize the classification of basic quasi-Hopf algebras over cyclic groups of prime order given in Etingof and Gelaki (2006) [11] to the case of cyclic groups of order m. To this end, we introduce a family of non-semisimple radically graded quasi-Hopf algebras A(H,s), constructed as subalgebras of Hopf algebras twisted by a quasi-Hopf twist, which are not twist equivalent to Hopf algebras. Any basic quasi-Hopf algebra over a cyclic group of order m is either semisimple, or is twist equivalent to a Hopf algebra or a quasi-Hopf algebra of type A(H,s).  相似文献

In this paper, we derive some criteria for the projectivity of a module coalgebra over a finite dimensional Hopf algebra. In particular, we show that any Hopf algebra over a field of characteristic zero is faithfully flat over its group-like subHopf algebra. Finally, we prove that if is a finite dimensional subHopf algebra of a Hopf algebra , then is normal in if and only if . This improves a result by S. Montgomery (1993).

Several Hopf algebra structures on vector spaces of trees can be found in the literature (cf. [10], [8], [2]). In this paper, we compare the corresponding notions of trees, the multiplications and comultiplications. The Hopf algebras are connected graded or, equivalently, complete Hopf algebras. The Hopf algebra structure on planar binary trees introduced by Loday and Ronco [10] is noncommutative and not cocommutative. We show that this Hopf algebra is isomorphic to the noncommutative version of the Hopf algebra of Connes and Kreimer [3]. We compute its first Lie algebra structure constants in the sense of [7], and show that there is no cogroup structure compatible with the Hopf algebra on planar binary trees.  相似文献

A celebrated theorem of Hopf (1940) [11], Bott and Milnor (1958) [1], and Kervaire (1958) [12] states that every finite-dimensional real division algebra has dimension 1, 2, 4, or 8. While the real division algebras of dimension 1 or 2 and the real quadratic division algebras of dimension 4 have been classified (Dieterich (2005) [6], Dieterich (1998) [3], Dieterich and Öhman (2002) [9]), the problem of classifying all 8-dimensional real quadratic division algebras is still open. We contribute to a solution of that problem by proving that every 8-dimensional real quadratic division algebra has degree 1, 3, or 5. This statement is sharp. It was conjectured in Dieterich et al. We classify pointed Hopf algebras of dimension 16 over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. Apart from the 11 group algebras, there are 29 such Hopf algebras. All of them can be obtained using the Ore extension construction, as described recently by Beattie, the second author, and Grunenfelder.  相似文献

Let H be a Hopf algebra with a finite-dimensional, nontrivial space of skew primitive elements, over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. We prove that H contains either the polynomial algebra as a Hopf subalgebra, or a certain Schurian simple-pointed Hopf subalgebra. As a consequence, a complete list of the locally finite, simple-pointed Hopf algebras is obtained. Also, the graded automorphism group of a Hopf algebra on a Schurian Hopf quiver is determined, and the relation between this group and the automorphism groups of the corresponding Hopf quiver, is clarified.  相似文献

We define Hopf monads on an arbitrary monoidal category, extending the definition given in Bruguières and Virelizier (2007) [5] for monoidal categories with duals. A Hopf monad is a bimonad (or opmonoidal monad) whose fusion operators are invertible. This definition can be formulated in terms of Hopf adjunctions, which are comonoidal adjunctions with an invertibility condition. On a monoidal category with internal Homs, a Hopf monad is a bimonad admitting a left and a right antipode.Hopf monads generalize Hopf algebras to the non-braided setting. They also generalize Hopf algebroids (which are linear Hopf monads on a category of bimodules admitting a right adjoint). We show that any finite tensor category is the category of finite-dimensional modules over a Hopf algebroid.Any Hopf algebra in the center of a monoidal category C gives rise to a Hopf monad on C. The Hopf monads so obtained are exactly the augmented Hopf monads. More generally if a Hopf monad T is a retract of a Hopf monad P, then P is a cross product of T by a Hopf algebra of the center of the category of T-modules (generalizing the Radford–Majid bosonization of Hopf algebras).We show that the comonoidal comonad of a Hopf adjunction is canonically represented by a cocommutative central coalgebra. As a corollary, we obtain an extension of Sweedler?s Hopf module decomposition theorem to Hopf monads (in fact to the weaker notion of pre-Hopf monad).  相似文献

We show that the two-sided two-cosided Hopf modules are in some case generalized Hopf modules in the sense of Doi. Then the equivalence between two-sided two-cosided Hopf modules and Yetter—Drinfeld modules, proved in [8], becomes an equivalence between categories of Doi—Hopf modules. This equivalence induces equivalences between the underlying categories of (co)modules. We study the relation between this equivalence and the one given by the induced functor.  相似文献

Let H be a Hopf algebra over a field k. Under some assumptions on H we state and prove a generalization of the Wedderburn-Malcev theorem for i7-comodule algebras. We show that our version of this theorem holds for a large enough class of Hopf algebras, such as coordinate rings of completely reducible affine algebraic groups, finite dimensional Hopf algebras over fields of characteristic 0 and group algebras. This paper is concerned with two generalizations of the Hopf algebra of symmetric functions that have more or less recently appeared. The Hopf algebra of noncommutative symmetric functions and its dual, the Hopf algebra of quasisymmetric functions. The focus is on the incredibly rich structure of the Hopf algebra of symmetric functions and the question of which structures and properties have good analogues for the noncommutative symmetric functions and/or the quasisymmetric functions. This paper attempts to survey the ongoing investigations in this topic as dictated by the knowledge and interests of its author. There are many open questions that are discussed.  相似文献

In this paper we show a bijective correspondence between normal Hopf ideals and sub-Hopf algebras of a commutative Hopf algebra over a field k. This gives a purely algebraic proof of the fundamental theorem [2, III, §3, no7] of the theory of affine k-groups.  相似文献

Biharmonic maps are the critical points of the bienergy functional and, from this point of view, generalize harmonic maps. We consider the Hopf map and modify it into a nonharmonic biharmonic map . We show to be unstable and estimate its biharmonic index and nullity. Resolving the spectrum of the vertical Laplacian associated to the Hopf map, we recover Urakawa's determination of its harmonic index and nullity.

Summary. Let ( real) be a family of real by matrices. A value of is called a Hopf value if has a conjugate pair of purely imaginary eigenvalues , . We describe a technique for detecting Hopf values based on the evolution of the Schur complement of in a bordered extension of where varies along the positive imaginary axis of the complex plane. We compare the efficiency of this method with more obvious methods such as the use of the QR algorithm and of the determinant function of as well as with recent work on the Cayley transform. In particular, we show the advantages of the Schur complement method in the case of large sparse matrices arising in dynamical problems by discretizing boundary value problems. The Hopf values of the Jacobian matrices are important in this setting because they are related to the Hopf bifurcation phenomenon where steady state solutions bifurcate into periodic solutions. A predator-prey system with disease in the prey is considered. Assume that the incidence rate is nonlinear, we analyse the boundedness of solutions and local stability of equilibria, by using bifurcation methods and techniques, we study Bogdanov-Takens bifurcation near a boundary equilibrium, and obtain a saddle-node bifurcation curve, a Hopf bifurcation curve and a homoclinic bifurcation curve. The Hopf bifurcation and generalized Hopf bifurcation near the positive equilibrium is analyzed, one or two limit cycles is also discussed.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the stability and Hopf bifurcation of a diffusive predator-prey system with herd behaviour. The model is described by introducing both time delay and nonlocal prey intraspecific competition. Compared to the model without time delay, or without nonlocal competition, thanks to the together action of time delay and nonlocal competition, we prove that the first critical value of Hopf bifurcation may be homogenous or non-homogeneous. We also show that a double-Hopf bifurcation occurs at the intersection point of the homogenous and non-homogeneous Hopf bifurcation curves. Furthermore, by the computation of normal forms for the system near equilibria, we investigate the stability and direction of Hopf bifurcation. Numerical simulations also show that the spatially homogeneous and non-homogeneous periodic patters.  相似文献
