In this work, the influence of initial stretching of a simply supported plate-strip containing two circular holes on the stress
concentration around the holes caused by bending of the strip is examined using the finite-element method. The mathematical
formulation of the corresponding boundary-value problem is presented within the frame work of the three-dimensional linearized
theory of elasticity (TDLTE) under a plane strain state. The material of the plate-strip is linearly elastic, homogeneous,
and orthotropic. The numerical results obtained in investigating the influence of the initial stretching and the location
of holes on the stress concentration are presented. In particular, it is established that the initial stretching significantly
decreases the stress concentration at some characteristic points on the contour of the holes.

The solutions of a three-dimensional rectangular limited-permeable crack or two three-dimensional rectangular limited-permeable cracks in the piezoelectric/piezomagnetic composite materials were investigated by using the generalized Almansi’s theorem and the Schmidt method. Finally, the relations among the electric field, the magnetic flux field and the stress field near the crack tips were obtained and the effects of the electric permittivity, the magnetic permeability of the air inside the crack, the shape of the rectangular crack on the stress, the electric displacement and magnetic flux intensity factors in the piezoelectric/piezomagnetic composite materials were analyzed. 相似文献

The stress distribution in a rectangular plate of a multilayer composite material with a periodically curved structure under forced vibration is studied. It is assumed that the plate is hinge supported at opposite sides. The investigation is carried out within the exact three-dimensional linear theory of elasticity. The mechanical relationships of the plate material are described by the continuum theory of Akbarov and Guz'. The numerical results obtained by the finite element method show that even in low-frequency dynamic loading of the plate the extreme values of stresses, which appear as a result of the curving in the plate structure, considerably exceed those in the corresponding static loading.Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Baku, Azerbaijan. We present a short survey of studies of the elastic interaction of two holes in a stretched plate. Special attention is paid to the study of the concentration of stresses on the contours of closely positioned holes. For two identical elliptic holes, numerical results are obtained by the method of singular integral equations. With the help of the limit transition, we determined the stress intensity factors at the vertices of semi-infinite parabolic notches. A comparison of the numerical data with known analytic solutions for two circular holes and collinear cracks is performed. 相似文献

In this study, based on the reduced form of elasticity displacement field for a long laminate, an analytical method is established to exactly obtain the interlaminar stresses near the free edges of generally laminated composite plates subjects to extension, torsion, and bending. The constant parameters being in the displacement field, which describe the global deformation of a laminate, are appropriately calculated by using the improved first-order shear deformation theory. Reddy’s layerwise theory is subsequently employed for analytical and numerical examinations of the boundary layer stresses within arbitrary laminated composite plates. Various numerical results are developed for the interlaminar normal and shear stresses along the interfaces and through the thickness of laminates near the free edges. Finally the effects of end conditions of laminates and geometric parameters on the boundary-layer stress are studied. 相似文献

An analysis is presented for different bearing loadings of a plate resting on various linear and nonlinear foundations subjected to different boundary conditions such as the circled clamped, simply supported, and mixed boundary conditions. The highly accurate solutions of the plate deflection and the stress under different work conditions are obtained by the novel wavelet-homotopy technique, which are in full agreement with previous ones in literature. Different from previous studies, our solutions are also valid for the extra large plate bending cases, which are rarely considered before. Particularly, we consider the important case that the connection coefficients of various foundations are variational, which seems to be overlooked in previous studies owing to their extreme difficulties in mathematical treatments and programming. Besides, to overcome the limitation of existing wavelet technique of poor capability on handling complex boundary conditions, we reconstruct the boundary wavelet by the Coiflets so that it can be used to handle the governing partial differential equations subjected to nonhomogeneous boundary conditions. Moreover, we introduce the homotopy iteration technique so that the computational efficiency improves to a large extent as compared with the traditional Homotopy Analysis Method (HAM) technique. It is expected the proposed wavelet-homotopy method can be as a new generation of analytical tool for solving strong nonlinear problems subjected to complicated boundary conditions, especially for those with variable coefficients. 相似文献

Natural and forced vibrations of a thick rectangular plate fabricated from a composite material with a spatially locally curved structure are investigated with the use of exact three-dimensional equations of motion of the theory of elastic anisotropic bodies. The investigations are carried out within the framework of the continuum approach developed by Akbarov and Guz. It is supposed that the plate is clamped at all its edges and is loaded on the upper face with uniformly distributed normal forces periodically changing with time. The influence of the parameters of local curving on the fundamental frequency of the plate and on the distribution of the normal stress acting in the thickness direction under forced vibration is studied. The corresponding boundary-value problems are solved numerically by employing the three-dimensional FEM modelling.Russian translation published in Mekhanika Kompozitnykh Materialov, Vol. 40, No. 6, pp. 779–790, November–December, 2004. 相似文献

We propose an approximate analytic method of solving three-dimensional boundary-value problems of the physically nonlinear
theory of elasticity for thick rectangular plates of variable thickness subject to a transverse load. The method is used to
seek a solution of this problem in the form of double power series in small dimensionless parameters. In arbitrary approximation
the original problem is reduced to a sequence of linear inhomogeneous boundary-value problems for plates of constant thickness.

This paper considers the bending behaviors of composite plate with 3-D periodic configuration.A second-order two-scale(SOTS)computational method is designed by means of construction way.First,by 3-D elastic composite plate model, the cell functions which are defined on the reference cell are constructed. Then the effective homogenization parameters of composites are calculated, and the homogenized plate problem on original domain is defined.Based on the Reissner-Mindlin deformation pattern, the homogenization solution is obtained. And then the SOTS’s approximate solution is obtained by the cell functions and the homogenization solution.Second, the approximation of the SOTS’s solution in energy norm is analyzed and the residual of SOTS’s solution for 3-D original in the pointwise sense is investigated. Finally, the procedure of SOTS’s method is given.A set of numerical results are demonstrated for predicting the effective parameters and the displacement and strains of composite plate. It shows that SOTS’s method can capture the 3-D local behaviors caused by3-D micro-structures well. 相似文献

Within the frame work of the second version of small precritical deformation in the three-dimensional linearized theory of
stability of deformable bodies (TDLTSDB), the undulation instability problem for a simply supported rectangular plate made
of a viscoelastic composite material is investigated in biaxial compression in the plate plane. The corresponding boundary-value
problem is solved by employing the Laplace transformation and the principle of correspondence. For comparison and estimation
of the accuracy of results given by the TDLTSDB, the same problem is also solved by using various approximate plate theories.
The viscoelasticity properties of the plate material are described by the Rabotnov fractional-exponential operator. The numerical
results and their discussion are presented for the case where the plate is made of a multilayered viscoelastic composite material.
In particular, the variation range of problem parameters is established for which it is necessary to investigate the undulation
instability of the viscoelastic composite plate by using the TDLTSDB.

The compromise optimization of the structure and geometry of a laminated anisotropic composite plate subjected to biaxial
thermal shear loading is considered. From the known properties of the monolayer and given values of a variable structural
parameter, the thermoelastic properties of the layered composite are determined. The optimization criteria — the critical
shear load and the longitudinal and transverse thermal stresses — depend on two variable design parameters of composite properties
and temperature. In the space of optimization criteria, the domain of allowable solutions and the Pareto-optimal subregion
are found.

We study the three-dimensional problem of steady vibrations of a plate with elliptic holes rigidly clamped along a cylindrical
surface. The problem is studied in detail for blocking frequencies, when a biharmonic particular solution appears along with
the vortex and potential solutions. We give expressions for the components of the stressed state. For the static problem we
give the results of numerical studies based on the asymptotic integration of the Helmholtz equation and application of the
machinery of analytic function theory. We study the influence of the thickness of the plate, curvature of the elliptic boundary,
and distance between boundary curves on the error of the applied theory.

Buckling analysis of a thin cylindrical shell stiffened by rings with T-shaped cross section under the action of uniform internal pressure in the shell is performed. An annular plate stiffened over the outer edge by a circular beam is used as the ring model. The classical ring model, which is a beam with a T-shaped cross section, is inappropriate in this problem, since in the case of the loss of stability, buckling deformations are localized on the ring surface. The beam model does not allow one to find the critical pressure that corresponds to such a loss of stability. In the first approximation, the problem of the loss of stability of the annular plate connected with the shell is reduced to solving the boundary value problem for finding eigenvalues of the annular plate bending equation. Approximate formulas for determining critical pressure are obtained under the assumption that the plate width is much smaller than its inner radius. The results found using the Rayleigh method and the shooting method differ slightly from each other. It has been demonstrated that the critical pressure for rings with rectangular cross section is higher than that for rings with a T-shaped cross section. 相似文献

This paper deals with the 3D flow of a generalized Oldroyd-B fluid due to a constant pressure gradient between two side walls perpendicular to a plate. The fractional calculus approach is used to establish the constitutive relationship of the non-Newtonian fluid model. Exact analytic solutions for the velocity and stress fields, in terms of the Fox H-function, are established by means of the finite Fourier sine transform and the Laplace transform. Solutions similar to those for ordinary Oldroyd-B fluid as well as those for Maxwell and second-grade fluids are also obtained as limiting cases of the results presented. Furthermore, 3D figures for velocity and shear stress fields are presented for the first time for certain values of the parameters, and the associated transport characteristics are analyzed and discussed. 相似文献

We propose an approximate method for specifying the functional dependence among the stress, deformation, temperature, and time under arbitrary laws of loading and heating of a reinforced plate in a uniaxially stressed state. The method is justified experimentally in tests of the uniaxial extension of models under isothermic and nonisothermic loading with stress and temperature varying at a constant rate.Translated fromMatematicheskie Metody i Fiziko-Mekhanicheskie Polya, Issue 27, 1988, pp. 75–77. 相似文献
