Some general existence results for optimal shape design problems for systems governed by elliptic variational inequalities are established by the mapping method and variational convergence theory. Then, an existence theorem is given for the optimal shape for an electrochemical machining problem, in which the cost functional is not lower semicontinuous, by extending the general results to this case. Furthermore, this problem is approximated by a set of optimal shape design problems which have more smooth cost functionals and are easier to handle computationally.The authors with to express their sincere thanks to the reviewers for supplying additional references and for their valuable comments, which made the paper more readable.  相似文献

The paper deals with a class of optimal shape design problems for elastic bodies unilaterally supported by a rigid foundation. Cost and constraint functionals defining the problem depend on contact stresses, i.e. their control is of primal interest. To this end, the so-called reciprocal variational formulation of contact problems making it possible to approximate directly the contact stresses is used. In this paper, we study optimal control problems for quasi-linear elliptic–parabolic variational inequalities with time-dependent constraints. We prove the existence of an optimal control that minimizes the nonlinear cost functional. Moreover, we apply our general results to some model problems. In particular, we show the necessary condition of optimal pair for a problem of partial differential equation (PDE) with a non-homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce the system of generalized vector equilibrium problems which includes as special cases the system of generalized implicit vector variational inequality problems, the system of generalized vector variational and variational-like inequality problems and the system of vector equilibrium problems. By using a maximal element theorem, we establish existence results for a solution of these systems. As an application, we derive existence results for a solution of a more general Nash equilibrium problem for vector-valued functions.  相似文献

We consider an optimal control problem for the obstacle problem with an elliptic variational inequality. The obstacle function which is the control function is assumed in H2. We use an approximate technique to introduce a family of problems governed by variational equations. We prove optimal solutions existence and give necessary optimality conditions. In this paper, we introduce weighted variational inequalities over product of sets and system of weighted variational inequalities. It is noted that the weighted variational inequality problem over product of sets and the problem of system of weighted variational inequalities are equivalent. We give a relationship between system of weighted variational inequalities and systems of vector variational inequalities. We define several kinds of weighted monotonicities and establish several existence results for the solution of the above-mentioned problems under these weighted monotonicities. We introduce also the weighted generalized variational inequalities over product of sets, that is, weighted variational inequalities for multivalued maps and systems of weighted generalized variational inequalities. Extensions of weighted monotonicities for multivalued maps are also considered. The existence of a solution of weighted generalized variational inequalities over product of sets is also studied. The existence results for a solution of weighted generalized variational inequality problem give also the existence of solutions of systems of generalized vector variational inequalities. The aim of this article is to establish new existence results for a certain type of variational relation problem studied by Agarwal et al. in a very recent article. This problem is a general model for several quasivariational inclusions and quasiequilibrium problems investigated in many recent articles. The main tools in proving the existence theorems are two well-known fixed point theorems (Eilenberg-Montgomery and Kakutany-Fan Glicksberg, respectively). In the last section, we prove that, applied in special cases, our results are different or stronger than several earlier results.  相似文献

We start with a mathematical model which describes the sliding contact of a viscoelastic body with a moving foundation. The contact is frictional and the wear of the contact surfaces is taken into account. We prove that this model leads to a differential variational inequality in which the unknowns are the displacement field and the wear function. Then, inspired by this model, we consider a general differential variational inequality in reflexive Banach spaces, governed by four parameters. We prove the unique solvability of the inequality as well as the continuous dependence of its solution with respect to the parameters. The proofs are based on arguments of monotonicity, compactness, convex analysis and lower semicontinuity. Then, we apply these abstract results to the mathematical model of contact for which we deduce the existence of a unique solution as well as the existence of optimal control for an associate optimal control problem. Using a direct variational approach with no global growth conditions on the nonlinear term, we consider the existence of solutions and their dependence on a functional parameter for the fourth order Dirichlet problem connected with the elastic beam equation. We present an existence result for an equilibrium problem formulated with trifunctions, which is motivated by variational inequalities governed by quasimonotone operators. To prove the existence result, we define the dual problem, and some monotonicity notions for trifunctions. From the main result follow, among others, the Browder–Minty theorem for variational inequalities and Ky Fan’s Minimax theorem. In this paper we present some results concerning the optimal shape design problem governed by the fourth-order variational inequalities. The problem can be considered as a model example for the design of the shapes for elastic-plastic problem. The computations are done by finite element method, and the performance criterion is minimized by the material derivative method. We also discuss the error estimates in the appropriate norm and present some numerical results. An example is used to clearly illustrate the essential elements of shape design problems.  相似文献

We prove an existence theorem for the optimal control of variational inequalities governed by a pseudomonotone operator: the cost is assumed to be quadratic. Then, we give an extension of the theorem to more general costs (assuming the operator to be monotone); we also give a result on a perturbation problem.This work is an extended part of the author's thesis, written under the direction of Professor T. In this paper, we consider a system of vector variational inequalities and a system of nonsmooth variational inequalities defined by means of Clarke directional derivative. We also consider the Nash equilibrium problem with vector pay-offs and its scalarized form. We present some relations among these systems and problems. The existence results for a solution of system of nonsmooth variational inequalities are given. 引入了实Hilbert空间中一类新的一般多值混合隐拟变分不等式.它概括了丁协平教授引入与研究过的熟知的广义混合隐拟变分不等式类成特例.运用辅助变分原理技巧来解这类一般多值混合隐拟变分不等式.首先,定义了具真凸下半连续的二元泛函的新的辅助变分不等式,并选取了一适当的泛函,使得其唯一的最小值点等价于此辅助变分不等式的解.其次,利用此辅助变分不等式,构造了用于计算一般多值混合隐拟变分不等式逼近解的新的迭代算法.在此,等价性保证了算法能够生成一列逼近解.最后,证明了一般多值混合隐拟变分不等式解的存在性与逼近解的收敛性.而且,给算法提供了新的收敛判据.因此,结果对M.A.Noor提出的公开问题给出了一个肯定答案,并推广和改进了关于各种变分不等式与补问题的早期与最近的结果,包括最近文献中涉及单值与集值映象的有关混合变分不等式、混合拟变不等式与拟补问题的相应结果.  相似文献

The paper deals with the variational convergence of a sequence of optimal control problems for functional differential state equations with deviating argument. Variational limit problems are found under various conditions of convergence of the input data. It is shown that, upon sufficiently weak assumptions on convergence of the argument deviations, the limit problem can assume a form different from that of the whole sequence. In particular, it can be either an optimal control problem for an integro-differential equation or a purely variational problem. Conditions are found under which the limit problem preserves the form of the original sequence.  相似文献

In this paper, we apply an existence theorem for the variational inclusion problem to study the existence results for the variational intersection problems in Ekeland’s sense and the existence results for some variants of set-valued vector Ekeland variational principles in a complete metric space. Our results contain Ekeland’s variational principle as a special case and our approaches are different to those for any existence theorems for such problems.  相似文献
