The chelation dynamics of [Mn{eta5-C5H4C(O)R}(CO)3] complexes 1 (R = CH2(SCH3)), 2 (R = CH(SCH3)2), and 3 (R = C(SCH3)3) in room-temperature acetonitrile solution have been investigated on the picosecond time scale by UV-pump IR-probe transient absorption spectroscopy. Similar to the previously observed behavior in n-heptane solution, irradiation of 3 in acetonitrile at 289 nm induces CO loss to exclusively yield a Mn-S chelated dicarbonyl product. Unlike the behavior of 1 and 2 in n-hexane and n-heptane solutions, UV excitation of either 1 or 2 in acetonitrile solution induces CO loss to also exclusively yield the chelated products, with no evidence of a competing solvation pathway. All three complexes exhibit ultrafast chelation in <13 ps. Faster vibrational cooling in acetonitrile vs alkane solutions suggests stronger solute-solvent interaction, perhaps via hydrogen bonding. Ring-opening resulting from continuous irradiation of the pendant sulfide's chelates, [Mn{eta5-C5H4C(O)CH(SCH3)2-kappaS}(CO)2] (4) and [Mn{eta5-C5H4C(O)C(SCH3)3-kappaS}(CO)2] (5), is also discussed.  相似文献

The azadithiolate (SCH2NHCH2S) cofactor proposed to occur in the Fe-only hydrogenases forms efficiently by the condensation of Fe2(SH)2(CO)6 (1), formaldehyde, and ammonia (as (NH4)2CO3). The resulting Fe2[(SCH2)2NH](CO)6 reacts with Et4NCN to give (Et4N)2[Fe2[(SCH2)2NH](CO)4(CN)2], for which crystallographic characterization confirmed an axial N-H and an elongated C-S bond of 1.858(3) A. Primary amines RNH2 (R = Ph, t-Bu) also participate in the condensation reaction, and Fe3S2(CO)9 can be employed in place of 1. Mechanistically, the Fe2[(SCH2)2NH] moiety is shown to arise via two pathways: (i) via the intermediacy of Fe2[(SCH2OH)2](CO)6, which was detected and shown to react with amines, and (ii) via the reaction of 1 with cyclic imines (CH2)3(NR)3 (R = Ph, Me). The reaction of 1 with (CH2)6N4 (hexamethylenetetramine) gives Fe2[(SCH2)2NH](CO)6. Trace amounts of Fe2[(SCH2)2N-t-Bu](CO)6 arise via the reaction of aqueous FeSO4, formaldehyde, NaSH, and t-BuNH2 under an atmosphere of CO.  相似文献

N-substituted dppa ligands Ph2P-NR-PPh2 [R = -CH2CH2SCH2C6H5 (1), -CH2CH2S(CH2)5CH3 (2), -(CH2)9CH3 (3), -C6H5 (4)] were used for the synthesis of cis-[PtCl2{Ph2PN(R)PPh2}] complexes [R = -CH2CH2SCH2C6H5 (5), -CH2CH2S(CH2)5CH3 (6), -(CH2)9CH3 (7), -C6H5 (8)] and heterotrinuclear clusters of formula [PtCo2(CO)7{Ph2PN(R)PPh2}] [R = -CH2CH2SCH2C6H5 (9), -CH2CH2S(CH2)5CH3 (10), -(CH2)9CH3 (11), -C6H5 (12)]. The presence of relatively bulky substituents on N resulted in a higher chelating power of the ligands. The thermodynamic study of the equilibrium between the chelate and the bridged forms of clusters 9-11 showed that the bridged form is favoured by enthalpic factors whereas entropic factors favour chelation. The structures of 5 and 9 were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction.  相似文献

Six calix[4]arenes each bearing two non-cyclic PR2 units attached at distal phenolic oxygen atoms, p-Bu t-calix[4]arene-25,27-(OPR2)2-26,28-(OR')2(R = OPh; R'= Prn, L1; R = OPh; R'= CH2CO2Et, L2; R= OPh; R'= CO2 cholesteryl, L3; R = Ph; R'= Prn, 4; R = Ph; R'= CH2CO2Et, L5; R = Ph; R'= CO2cholesteryl, L6) have been synthesized and their coordinative properties investigated. The diphosphites L1-L3, where the P centres are separated by 12 bonds, readily form chelate complexes provided the complexation reaction is achieved either by using a starting complex that possesses good leaving groups or by operating under high dilution in order to avoid oligomer formation. Thus, the cationic complexes [Rh(COD)L1]BF4 and [Rh(COD)L3]BF4 were both formed in high yield by reacting the appropriate diphosphite with either [Rh(COD)(THF)2]BF4 or [Rh(COD)2]BF4. At high dilution, reaction of L3 with the neutral complex [PdCl2(COD)] afforded the chelate complex [PdCl2L3] in 90% yield. The reaction of one equiv. of L1 with [Rh(acac)(CO)2] resulted in the formation of [Rh(acac)L1] without requiring high dilution conditions. When the latter reaction was carried out with 0.5 equiv. of L1, the bimetallic complex [{Rh(acac)(CO)}2(eta]1-P,eta1-P'-L1)] was formed instead. Reaction at high dilution of with the cyclometallated complex [Pd(o-C6H4CH2NMe2)(THF)2]BF4 gave the expected chelate complex [Pd(o-C6H4CH2NMe2)]BF4. The latter slowly converts in solution to an oligomer in which the ligand behaves as a (eta1-P,eta1-P') bridging ligand, thus leading to a less strained structure. All six ligands, when mixed with [Rh(acac)CO2], effectively catalyse the hydroformylation of octene and styrene. In the hydroformylation of octene, the linear aldehyde selectivities observed with L2 and L3 are significantly higher (linear : branched =ca. 10) than those obtained with the other 4 ligands of this study and also with respect to PPh3. Molecular modelling shows that the lower rim substituents of and form tighter pockets about the metal centre than do the other ligands and so sterically favour the formation of Rh(n-alkyl) intermediates over that of Rh(i-alkyl) ones. In styrene hydroformylation, all ligands result in the formation of unusually high amounts of the linear aldehyde, the b : l ratios being all close to 65 : 35. The highest activities were found when using an L/Rh ratio of 1/1.  相似文献

Novel asymmetrically substituted azadithiolate compounds [Fe2(CO)4(kappa2-dppe){micro-SCH2N(R)CH2S}] (R=iPr, 1a; CH2CH2OCH3, 1b; CH2C6H5, 1c) have been synthesized by treatment of [Fe2(CO)6(micro-adt)] [adt=SCH2N(R)CH2S, with R=iPr, CH2CH2OCH3, CH2C6H5] with dppe (dppe=Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2) in refluxing toluene in the presence of Me3NO. 1a-c have been characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. The electrochemical investigation of 1a-c and of [Fe2(CO)4(kappa2-dppe)(micro-pdt)] (1d) [pdt=S(CH2)3S] in MeCN- and THF-[NBu4][PF6] has demonstrated that the electrochemical reduction of 1a-d gives rise to an Electron-transfer-catalyzed (ETC) isomerization to the symmetrical isomers 2a-d where the dppe ligand bridges the iron centers. Compounds 2a-d were characterized by IR and NMR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and X-ray crystallography for 2a.  相似文献

Treatment of the complex [U(Tren(TMS))(Cl)(THF)] [1, Tren(TMS) = N(CH(2)CH(2)NSiMe(3))(3)] with Me(3)SiI at room temperature afforded known crystalline [U(Tren(TMS))(I)(THF)] (2), which is reported as a new polymorph. Sublimation of 2 at 160 °C and 10(-6) mmHg afforded the solvent-free dimer complex [{U(Tren(TMS))(μ-I)}(2)] (3), which crystallizes in two polymorphic forms. During routine preparations of 1, an additional complex identified as [U(Cl)(5)(THF)][Li(THF)(4)] (4) was isolated in very low yield due to the presence of a slight excess of [U(Cl)(4)(THF)(3)] in one batch. Reaction of 1 with one equivalent of lithium dicyclohexylamide or bis(trimethylsilyl)amide gave the corresponding amide complexes [U(Tren(TMS))(NR(2))] (5, R = cyclohexyl; 6, R = trimethylsilyl), which both afforded the cationic, separated ion pair complex [U(Tren(TMS))(THF)(2)][BPh(4)] (7) following treatment of the respective amides with Et(3)NH·BPh(4). The analogous reaction of 5 with Et(3)NH·BAr(f)(4) [Ar(f) = C(6)H(3)-3,5-(CF(3))(2)] afforded, following addition of 1 to give a crystallizable compound, the cationic, separated ion pair complex [{U(Tren(TMS))(THF)}(2)(μ-Cl)][BAr(f)(4)] (8). Reaction of 7 with K[Mn(CO)(5)] or 5 or 6 with [HMn(CO)(5)] in THF afforded [U(Tren(TMS))(THF)(μ-OC)Mn(CO)(4)] (9); when these reactions were repeated in the presence of 1,2-dimethoxyethane (DME), the separated ion pair [U(Tren(TMS))(DME)][Mn(CO)(5)] (10) was isolated instead. Reaction of 5 with [HMn(CO)(5)] in toluene afforded [{U(Tren(TMS))(μ-OC)(2)Mn(CO)(3)}(2)] (11). Similarly, reaction of the cyclometalated complex [U{N(CH(2)CH(2)NSiMe(2)Bu(t))(2)(CH(2)CH(2)NSiMeBu(t)CH(2))}] with [HMn(CO)(5)] gave [{U(Tren(DMSB))(μ-OC)(2)Mn(CO)(3)}(2)] [12, Tren(DMSB) = N(CH(2)CH(2)NSiMe(2)Bu(t))(3)]. Attempts to prepare the manganocene derivative [U(Tren(TMS))MnCp(2)] from 7 and K[MnCp(2)] were unsuccessful and resulted in formation of [{U(Tren(TMS))}(2)(μ-O)] (13) and [MnCp(2)]. Complexes 3-13 have been characterized by X-ray crystallography, (1)H NMR spectroscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, Evans method magnetic moment, and CHN microanalyses.  相似文献

A series of Ni(II) carboxylate complexes, supported by a chelate ligand having either secondary hydrophobic phenyl groups (6-Ph2TPA, N,N-bis((6-phenyl-2-pyridyl)methyl)-N-((2-pyridyl)methyl)amine) or hydrogen bond donors (bnpapa, N,N-bis((6-neopentylamino-2-pyridyl)methyl)-N-((2-pyridyl)methyl)amine), have been prepared and characterized. X-ray crystallographic studies of [(6-Ph2TPA)Ni(O2C(CH2)2SCH3)]ClO4.CH2Cl2 (4.CH2Cl2) and [(6-Ph2TPA)Ni(O2CCH2SCH3)]ClO(4).1.5CH2Cl2 (5.1.5CH2Cl2) revealed that each complex contains a distorted octahedral Ni(II) center and a bidentate carboxylate ligand. A previously described benzoate complex ([(6-Ph2TPA)Ni(O2CPh)]ClO4 (3)) has similar structural characteristics. Recrystallization of dry powdered samples of 3, 4.0.5CH2Cl2, and 5 from wet organic solvents yielded a second series of crystalline Ni(II) carboxylate complexes having a coordinated monodentate carboxylate ligand ([(6-Ph2TPA)Ni(H2O)(O2CPh)]ClO4 (6), [(6-Ph2TPA)Ni(H2O)(O2C(CH2)2SCH3)]ClO4.0.2CH2Cl2 (7.0.2CH2Cl2), [(6-Ph2TPA)Ni(H2O)(O2CCH2SCH3)]ClO4 (8)) which is stabilized by a hydrogen-bonding interaction with a Ni(II)-bound water molecule. In the cationic portions of 7.0.2CH2Cl2 and 8, weak CH/pi interactions are also present between the methylene units of the carboxylate ligands and the phenyl appendages of the 6-Ph2TPA ligands. A formate complex of the formulation [(6-Ph2TPA)Ni(H2O)(O2CH)]ClO4 (9) was isolated and characterized. The mononuclear Ni(II) carboxylate complexes [(bnpapa)Ni(O2CPh)]ClO4 (10), [(bnpapa)Ni(O2C(CH2)2SCH3)]ClO4 (11), [(bnpapa)Ni(O2CCH2SCH3)]ClO4 (12), and [(bnpapa)Ni(O2CH)]ClO4 (13) were isolated and characterized. Two crystalline solvate forms of 10 (10.CH3CN and 10.CH2Cl2) were examined by X-ray crystallography. In both, the distorted octahedral Ni(II) center is ligated by a bidentate benzoate ligand, one Ni(II)-bound oxygen atom of which accepts two hydrogen bonds from the supporting bnpapa chelate ligand. Spectroscopic studies of 10(-13) suggest that all contain a bidentate carboxylate ligand, even after exposure to water. The combined results of this work enable the formulation of a proposed pathway for carboxylate product release from the active site Ni(II) center in acireductone dioxygenase.  相似文献

The carbodiphosphorane C(PPh3)2 ( 1 ) reacts with [Mn2(CO)10] in THF to produce quantitatively the salt‐like complex (HC{PPh3}2)[Mn(CO)5] ( 2 ) as THF solvate. If the reaction is carried out in 1,2‐dimethoxyethane (DME) small amounts of [Mn(OPPh3)2{O2CC(PPh3)2}2][Mn(CO)5]2 ( 3 ) as DME solvate along with solvent free 2 as the main product were isolated. Proton abstraction from the solvent led to the formation of 2 ; the ligands OPPh3 and O2CC(PPh3)2}2 of 3 are the results of a side reaction from [Mn2(CO)10] and 1 in a Wittig type manner. From the reaction in benzene small amounts of 3 were also obtained, crystallizing as benzene solvate 3· 4C6H6. The crystal structures of 2· THF, 2 , 3· 1.75DME and 3· 4C6H6 are reported. The compounds are further characterized by IR and 31P NMR spectroscopy.  相似文献

The established ability of the Fe(II) bridging hydride species (micro-H)(micro-pdt)[Fe(CO)2(PMe3)]2+, 1-H+, to take-up and heterolytically activate dihydrogen, resulting in H/D scrambling of H2/D2 and H2/D2O mixtures (Zhao et al. Inorg. Chem. 2002, 41, 3917) has prompted a study of simultaneous alkene/H2 activation by such [Fe]H2ase model complexes. That the required photolysis produced an open site was substantiated by substitution of CO in 1-H+ by CH3CN with formation of structurally characterized [(micro-H)(micro-pdt)[Fe(CO)2(PMe3)][Fe(CO)(CH3CN)(PMe3)]]+[PF6]-. Under similar photolytic conditions, H/D exchange reactions between D2 and terminal alkenes (ethylene, propene and 1-butene), but not bulkier alkenes such as 2-butene or cyclohexene, were catalyzed by 1-H+ and the edt (SCH2CH2S) analogue, 2-H+. Substantial regioselectivity for H/D exchange at the internal vinylic hydrogen was observed. The extent to which the olefins were deuterium enriched vs deuterated was catalyst dependent. The stabilizing effect of the binuclear chelating ligands, SCH2CH2CH2S, pdt, and SCH2CH2S, edt, is required for the activity of binuclear catalysts, as the mono-dentate micro-SEt analogue decomposed to inactive products under the photolytic conditions of the catalysis. Reactions of 1 and 2 with EtOSO2CF3 yielded the S-alkylated products, [(micro-SCH2CH2CH2SEt)[Fe(CO)2(PMe3)]2]+[SO3CF3]- (1-Et+), and 2-Et+, rather than micro-C2H5 analogues to the micro-H of 1-H+. The stability and lack of reactivity toward H2 of 1-Et+ and 2-Et+, indicates they are not on the reaction path of the olefin/D2 H/D exchange process. A mechanism with olefin binding to an open site created by CO loss and formation of an Fe-(CH2CHDR) intermediate is indicated. A likely role of a binuclear chelate effect is implicated for the unique S-XXX-S cofactor in the active site of [Fe]H2ase.  相似文献

A four-step synthesis for 4,6-bis(diphenylphosphinoylmethyl)dibenzofuran (4) from dibenzofuran and a two-step synthesis for 4,6-bis(diphenylphosphinoyl)dibenzofuran (5) are reported along with coordination chemistry of 4 with In(III), La(III), Pr(III), Nd(III), Er(III), and Pu(IV) and of 5 with Er(III). Crystal structure determinations for the ligands, 4·CH(3)OH and 5, the 1:1 complexes [In(4)(NO(3))(3)], [Pr(4)(NO(3))(3)(CH(3)CN)]·0.5CH(3)CN, [Er(4)(NO(3))(3)(CH(3)CN)]·CH(3)CN, [Pu(4)Cl(4)]·THF and the 2:1 complex [Nd(4)(2)(NO(3))(2)](2)(NO(3))(2)·(H(2)O)·4(CH(3)OH) are described. In these complexes, ligand 4 coordinates in a bidentate POP'O' mode via the two phosphine oxide O-atoms. The dibenzofuran ring O-atom points toward the central metal cations, but in every case it is more than 4 ? from the metal. A similar bidentate POP'O' chelate structure is formed between 5 and Er(III) in the complex, {[Er(5)(2)(NO(3))(2)](NO(3))·4(CH(3)OH)}(0.5), although the nonbonded Er···O(furan) distance is reduced to ~3.6 ?. The observed bidentate chelation modes for 4 and 5 are consistent with results from molecular mechanics computations. The solvent extraction performance of 4 and 5 in 1,2-dichloroethane for Eu(III) and Am(III) in nitric acid solutions is described and compared against the extraction behavior of n-octyl(phenyl)-N,N-diisobutylcarbamoylmethyl phosphine oxide (OΦDiBCMPO) measured under identical conditions.  相似文献

The compounds Re(CO)3Br[CH2(S-tim)2] (1) and {Re(CO)3(CH3CN)[CH2(S-tim)2]}(PF6) (2), where tim is 1-methylthioimidazolyl, were prepared in high yields and characterized both in the solid state and in solution. The solid-state structures show that the ligand acts in a chelating binding mode where the eight-member chelate ring adopts twist-boat conformations in both compounds. A comparison of both solid-state IR data for CO stretching frequencies and the solution-phase voltammetric measurements for the Re(1+/2+) couples between 1, 2, and related N,N-chelates of the rhenium tricarbonyl moiety indicate that the CH2(S-tim)2 ligand is a stronger donor than even the ubiquitous dipyridyl ligands. A combination of NMR spectroscopic studies and voltammetric studies revealed that compound 1 undergoes spontaneous ionization to form {Re(CO)3(CH3CN)[CH2(S-tim)2]+}(Br-) in acetonitrile. Ionization does not occur in solvents such as CH2Cl2 or acetone that are less polar and Lewis basic (less coordinating). The equilibrium constant at 293 K for the ionization of 1 in CH3CN is 4.3 x 10(-3). The eight-member chelate rings in each 1 and 2 were found to be conformationally flexible in all solvents, and boat-chair conformers could be identified. Variable-temperature NMR spectroscopic studies were used to elucidate the various kinetic and thermodynamic parameters associated with the energetically accessible twist-boat to twist-boat and twist-boat to boat-chair interconversions.  相似文献

The ligand precursors P(CH2NH-3,5-(CF3)2C6H3)3 (1a), P(CH2NHPh)3 (1b), and P(CH2NH-3,5-Me2C6H3)3 (1c), react with the reagents Ti(NMe2)4 and tBuN=Ta(NEt2)3 to generate metal complexes of the type P(CH2NAr(R))3TiNMe2 (2a-c) and P(CH2NAr(R))3Ta=NtBu (3a-c) (where Ar(R) = 3,5-(CF3)2C6H3, Ph, and 3,5-Me2C6H3). Due to ring strain, the phosphine lone pair cannot chelate and is available to bind a second metal, and this feature can be utilized to synthesize heterometallic polynuclear complexes. The 31P chemical shifts observed upon complexation of the early transition metals to the amido donors are large and in the opposite direction expected for the increased C-P-C bond angles in these complexes; these unusual shifts are due to P-Ti and P-Ta distances that are significantly shorter than the sum of van der Waals radii. The reaction of 2c with Ni(CO)4 produces at first the bimetallic complex (CO)3Ni[P(CH2N-3,5-Me2C6H3)3TiNMe2] (4c), which gradually converts to the trimetallic complex (CO)2Ni[P(CH2N-3,5-Me2C6H3)3TiNMe2]2 (5c). The effect of the complexation of Ti and Ta fragments on the donor ability of the phosphine ligand was determined by the preparation of the bis-phosphine complexes trans-L(2)Rh(CO)Cl, (where L = 1a-c, 2a-c, and 3a-c) prepared by the reaction of the appropriate phosphine with [Rh(CO)2(mu-Cl)]2, and a measurement of the resultant CO stretching frequencies. Surprisingly, the complexes with the larger C-P-C angles are significantly poorer donors. Density functional theory calculations were performed to determine what factors affect the donor ability of the phosphine and if through-space interactions might play an important role in the observed electronic properties.  相似文献

The displacement of CO in a few simple Fe(I)-Fe(I) hydrogenase model complexes by bisphosphine ligands Ph2P-(CH2)n-PPh2 [with n = 1 (dppm) or n = 2 (dppe)] is described. The reaction of [{mu-(SCH2)2CH2}Fe2(CO)6] (1) and [{mu-(SCH2)2N(CH2CH2CH3)}Fe2(CO)6] (2) with dppe gave double butterfly complexes [{mu-(SCH2)2CH2}Fe2(CO)5(Ph2PCH2)]2 (3) and [{mu-(SCH2)2N(CH2CH2CH3)}Fe2(CO)5(Ph2PCH2)]2 (4), where two Fe2S2 units are linked by the bisphosphine. In addition, an unexpected byproduct, [{mu-(SCH2)2N(CH2CH2CH3)}Fe2(CO)5{Ph2PCH2CH2(Ph2PS)}] (5), was isolated when 2 was used as a substrate, where only one phosphorus atom of dppe is coordinated, while the other has been converted to P=S, presumably by nucleophilic attack on bridging sulfur. By contrast, the reaction of 1 and 2 with dppm under mild conditions gave only complexes [{mu-(SCH2)2CH2}Fe2(CO)5(Ph2PCH2PPh2)] (6) and [{mu-(SCH2)2N(CH2CH2CH3)}Fe2(CO)5(Ph2PCH2PPh2)] (8), where one ligand coordinated in a monodentate fashion to one Fe2S2 unit. Furthermore, under forcing conditions, the complexes [{mu-(SCH2)2CH2}Fe2(CO)4{mu-(Ph2P)2CH2}] (7) and [{mu-(SCH2)2N(CH2CH2CH3)}Fe2(CO)4{mu-(Ph2P)2CH2}] (9) were formed, where the phosphine acts as a bidentate ligand, binding to both the iron atoms in the same molecular unit. Electrochemical studies show that the complexes 3, 4, and 9 catalyze the reduction of protons to molecular hydrogen, with 4 electrolyzed already at -1.40 V versus Ag/AgNO3 (-1.0 V vs NHE).  相似文献

Electronic structures and spectroscopic properties of the binuclear head-to-tail [Au(2)(PH(2)CH(2)SH)(2)](2+) (1) complex were investigated by ab initio calculations. The solvent effect of the complex in the acetonitrile solution was taken into account by the weakly solvated [Au(2)(PH(2)CH(2)SH)(2)](2+).(MeCN)(2) (2) moiety in the calculations. The ground-state geometries of 1 and 2 were fully optimized by the MP2 method, while their excited-state structures were optimized by the CIS method. Aurophilic attraction apparently exists between the two Au(I) atoms in the ground state and is strongly enhanced in the excited state. A high-energy phosphorescent emission was calculated at 337 nm for 1 in the absence of the interactions with solvent molecules and/or counteranion in solid state; however the lowest-energy emission of 2 was obtained at 614 nm with the nature of (3)A(u)(s(sigma)) --> (1)A(g)(d(sigma)) (metal-centered, MC) transition. The coordination of acetonitrile to the gold atom in solution results in a dramatic red shift of emission wavelength. The investigations on the head-to-tail [Au(2)(PH(2)CH(2)SCH(3))(2)](2+) (5) and [Au(2)(PH(2)CH(2)SCH(3))(2)](2+).(MeCN)(2) (6) moieties indicate that the CH(3) substituent on the S atom causes blue shifts of emission wavelength for 5 and 6 with respect to 1 and 2. By comparison between Au(I) thioether 1 and head-to-tail Au(I) thiolate [Au(2)(PH(2)CH(2)S)(2)] (7), it is concluded that the S-->Au dative bonding results in evidently different transition characteristics from the S-Au covalent bonding in the Au(I) thioether/thiolate complexes.  相似文献

The reaction of 3-chloropropyl and 4-chlorobutyl phenyl ethers (1) with lithium powder and a catalytic amount of DTBB (5% molar) in THF at -78 degrees C followed by successive treatment with a carbonyl compound [R(1)R(2)CO = Bu(t)CHO, Me(2)CO, (CH(2))(5)CO, (-)-menthone] at -78 to 20 degrees C and, after 1.5 h at this temperature, with a second one [R(3)R(4)CO = Bu(t)CHO, PhCHO, Me(2)CO, MeCOPr(n), (CH(2))(5)CO, (-)-menthone] at -78 degrees C leads, after hydrolysis with water, to the corresponding 1,5- and 1, 6-diols (2). Because of the competition of two different reductive cleavages, 1,4- and 1,5-diols 3 were also obtained as side-reaction products.  相似文献

We report the synthesis and characterization of perchlorate salts containing the following three novel complex cations each with a bidentate thioether ligand: binuclear cis-[Pt(CH3SCH2CH2CH2SCH3)(mu-OH)]22+, mononuclear cis-[Pt(CH3SCH2CH2CH2SCH3)(H2O)2]2+, and mononuclear cis-[Pd(CH3SCH2CH2CH2SCH3)(H2O)2]2+. Despite their analogous compositions, the mononuclear Pt(II) and Pd(II) complexes differ in the selectivity with which they promote the hydrolysis of polypeptides. The complex cis-[Pt(CH3SCH2CH2CH2SCH3)(H2O)2]2+ promotes slow but selective cleavage of Met-Pro peptide bonds at pH 2.0. The selectivity of the complex cis-[Pd(CH3SCH2CH2CH2SCH3)(H2O)2]2+ is pH-dependent. At pH 2.0, this Pd(II) complex promotes residue-selective hydrolysis of the X-Y bond in X-Y-Met and X-Y-His sequences; the rate is enhanced when residue Y is proline. At pH 7.0, this kinetic preference becomes sequence-selective in that the Pd(II) complex exclusively cleaves the X-Pro bond in X-Pro-Met and X-Pro-His sequences. The enhanced reactivity of the X-Pro amide group is attributed to the high basicity of its carbonyl oxygen atom. Binding of the metal(II) atom enhances the electrophilicity of the carbonyl carbon atom and promotes nucleophilic attack by a solvent water molecule. The bidentate thioether ligand disfavors the formation of hydrolytically unreactive complexes, allowing the Pd(II) complex to promote the cleavage reaction.  相似文献

Triflate abstraction from the complex [Re(OTf)(CO)(3)(bipy)] (1) using the salt NaBAr'(4) (Ar' = 3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl) in dichloromethane solution in the presence of L = PPh(3), NCMe, NCPh, imines, ketones, Et(2)O, THF, MeOH, and MeI affords cationic complexes [Re(L)(CO)(3)(bipy)](+) as their BAr'(4)(-) salts. The new complexes have been characterized spectroscopically and, for [Re(eta(1)-O=C(Me)R)(CO)(3)(bipy)]BAr'(4) (R = CH(3), 6a; R = Ph, 6b), and [Re(THF)(CO)(3)(bipy)]BAr'(4) (9), also by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compared with conventional methodologies, the route reported here allows the coordination of a broader range of weakly coordinating ligands and requires considerably milder conditions. On the other hand, the reactions of lithium acetylides with [Re(THF)(CO)(3)(bipy)]BAr'(4) (9) can be used for the high-yield syntheses of rhenium alkynyls [Re(Ctbd1;CR)(CO)(3)(bipy)] (R = Ph, 12; R = SiMe(3), 13). Complex 9 was found to catalyze the aziridination of benzylideneaniline with ethyl diazoacetate.  相似文献

We present here the synthesis, characterization, and flash photolysis study of [(F(8)TPP)Fe(II)(CO)(THF)] (1) [F(8)TPP = tetrakis(2,6-difluorophenyl)porphyrinate(2-)]. Complex 1 crystallizes from THF/heptane solvent system as a tris-THF solvate, [(F(8)TPP)Fe(II)(CO)(THF)].3THF (1.3THF), with ferrous ion in the porphyrin plane (C(61)H(52)F(8)FeN(4)O(5); a = 11.7908(2) A, b = 20.4453(2) A, c = 39.9423(3), alpha = 90 degrees, beta = 90 degrees, gamma = 90 degrees; orthorhombic, P2(1)2(1)2(1), Z = 8; Fe-N(4)(av) = 2.00 A; N-Fe-N (all) = 90.0 degrees ). This complex (as 1.THF) has also been characterized by (1)H NMR [six-coordinate, low-spin heme; CD(3)CN, RT, delta 8.82 (s, pyrrole-H, 8H), 7.89 (s, para-phenyl-H, 8H), 7.46 (s, meta-phenyl-H, 4H), 3.58 (s, THF, 8H), 1.73 (s, THF, 8H)], (2)H NMR (pyrrole-deuterated analogue) [(F(8)TPP-d(8))Fe(II)(CO)(THF)] [THF, RT, delta 8.78 ppm (s, pyrrole-D)], (13)C NMR (on (13)CO-enriched adduct) [THF-d(8), RT, delta 206.5 ppm; CD(2)Cl(2), RT, delta 206.1 ppm], UV-vis [THF, RT, lambda(max), 411 (Soret), 525 nm], and IR [293 K, solution, nu(CO) 1979 cm(-)(1) (THF), 1976 cm(-)(1) (acetone), 1982 cm(-)(1) (CH(3)CN)] spectroscopies. In order to more fully understand the intricacies of solvent-ligand binding (as compared to CO rebinding to the photolyzed heme), we have also synthesized the bis-THF adduct [(F(8)TPP)Fe(II)(THF)(2)]. Complex 2 also crystallizes from THF/heptane solvent system as a bis-THF solvate, [(F(8)TPP)Fe(II)(THF)(2)].2THF (2.2THF), with ferrous iron in the porphyrin plane (C(60)H(52)F(8)FeN(4)O(4); a = 21.3216(3) A, b = 12.1191(2) A, c = 21.0125(2) A, alpha = 90 degrees, beta = 105.3658(5) degrees, gamma = 90 degrees; monoclinic, C2/c, Z = 4; Fe-N(4)(av) = 2.07 A; N-Fe-N (all) = 90.0 degrees ). Further characterization of 2 includes UV-vis [THF, lambda(max), 421 (Soret), 542 nm] and (1)H NMR [six-coordinate, high spin heme; THF-d(8), RT, delta 56.7 (s, pyrrole-H, 8H), 8.38 (s, para-phenyl-H, 8H), 7.15 (s, meta-phenyl-H, 4H)] spectroscopies. Flash photolysis studies employing 1 were able to resolve the CO rebinding kinetics in both THF and cyclohexane solvents. In CO saturated THF [[CO] approximately 5 mM] and at [1] congruent with 5 microM, the conversion of [(F(8)TPP)Fe(II)(THF)(2)] (produced after photolytic displacement of CO) to [(F(8)TPP)Fe(II)(CO)(THF)] was monoexponential, with k(obs) = 1.6 (+/-0.2) x 10(4) s(-)(1). Reduction in [CO] by vigorous Ar purging gave k(obs) congruent with 10(3) s(-)(1) in cyclohexane. The study presented in this report lays the foundation for applying fast-time scale studies based on CO flash photolysis to the more complicated heterobimetallic heme/Cu systems.  相似文献

Systematic studies of CO coordination and photodissociation have been carried out for a series of copper(I) carbonyl compounds possessing tripodal tetradentate ligands, [CuI(L)(CO)]B(C6F5)4 (L = Me2N-TMPA (1Me2N), MeO-TMPA (1MeO), H-TMPA (1H), PMEA (2pmea), PMAP (2pmap), BQPA (3bqpa). Detailed structural, electrochemical, and infrared characterization has been accomplished. In addition, various experimental techniques were utilized to determine equilibrium binding constants (KCO), association (kCO), and dissociation (k-CO) rate constants, as well as the thermodynamic (DeltaH degrees , DeltaS degrees ) and activation parameters (DeltaH, DeltaS) that regulate these processes. With increased ligand-electron-donating ability, greater pi back-bonding results in stronger Cu-CO bonds, leading to KCO values on the order 1Me2N-CO > 1MeO-CO > 1H-CO. With systematic synthetic expansion of the five-membered chelate rings like 1R to six-membered chelate rings like 2R, the stability of the CO adduct decreases, 1H-CO > 2pmea-CO > 2pmap-CO. The CO-binding properties of 3bqpa did not follow trends observed for the other compounds, presumably because of its bulkier ligand framework. Through solid- and solution-state analyses, we concluded that the photolabile carbonyl species in solution possess a tridentate coordination mode, forming strictly five-membered chelate rings to the copper ion with one dangling arm of the tripodal ligand. Carbon monoxide reversibly photodissociated from complexes 1Me2N-CO, 1MeO-CO, 1H-CO, and 3bqpa-CO in coordinating (CH3CN) and weakly coordinating (THF) solvent but not from 2pmea-CO and 2pmap-CO. Comparisons to O2-binding data available for these copper complexes as well as to small molecule (O2, CO, NO) reactions with hemes and copper proteins are discussed.  相似文献
