Singularities of elastic and electric fields are investigated at the tip of a crack on the interface of two anisotropic piezoelectric media under various boundary conditions on the crack surfaces. The singularity exponents form the spectrum of a certain polynomial pencil, and although explicit formulas are not available, this spectrum is described completely though. The mathematical results apply to problems in fracture mechanics. In this way the Griffith formulas are obtained for increments of energy functionals due to the growth of the crack, and the notion of energy release matrix is introduced. Normalization conditions for bases of singular solutions are proposed to adapt them to energy, stress, and deformation fracture criteria. Connections between these bases are determined, and additional properties of the deformation basis related to the notion of electric surface enthalpy are established. Bibliography: 44 titles. In an earlier paper, we investigated the case when is a second order elliptic differential operator in and is a bounded smooth domain in . We obtained necessary and sufficient conditions for a pair to be a trace, and we gave a probabilistic formula for the maximal solution with a given trace. The general theory developed in the present paper is applicable, in particular, to elliptic operators with bounded coefficients in an arbitrary bounded domain of , assuming only that the Martin boundary and the geometric boundary coincide.

In the present study, we consider a thermoelastic half-space made of a functionally gradient material with an insulated crack, which is subjected to a thermal impact. The memory-dependent heat conduction model is adopted for analysis. By using the Fourier and Laplace transforms, the thermoelastic problem is formulated in terms of singular integral equations which can be solved numerically. Effects of the time delay, kernel function, and nonhomogeneity parameters on the temperature and stress intensity factor are analyzed. Our results are also compared with those based on the Fourier and CV heat conduction models, which can be viewed as two special cases of the present model. In conclusion, the memory-dependent derivative and nonhomogeneity parameters play an essential role in controlling the heat transfer process.  相似文献

The two-dimensional Couette flow with heat transfer was studied numerically using a non-linear nonequilibrium kinetic model of the Boltzmann equation. The effects of a maximum normal stress and a minimum streamwise energy flux were found depending on the Knudsen number.  相似文献

A self-adaptive differential evolution (DE) algorithm, in which an ant system is used to implement the self-adaptation of mutation and crossover control parameters, called ant system self-adaptive differential evolution (ASSDE), is proposed. First, the spaces of the mutation and crossover control parameters are divided into several regions and all regions are given the same initial intensity of pheromone trails. The probability of selecting parameter regions for each individual is influenced by the intensity of the region pheromone trails and its visibility. An individual will reinforce the trail of the selected regions with its own pheromone, when the offspring is better than its parent. The experiment results show that the ASSDE clearly outperforms the original DE algorithm and other existing self-adaptive DE algorithms for 16 benchmark functions. Furthermore, ASSDE is applied to develop the global kinetic model for hydropurification of terephthalic acid (HPTA), and satisfactory results are obtained.  相似文献

Based on the Rollins-Hunt's model, chaotic phenomena in a driven coupled R-L-diode oscillator are examined numerically. It is found that a straightforward extension of this model to a system with two degrees of freedom is valid as far as the quasiperiodic route to chaos is concerned. However, this model is not sufficient to explain the intermittency and the quasiperiodic routes including the discontinuous (jump) bifurcations with hysteresis. Then it is shown that the additional nonlinearity due to variable capacitance of the diode is effective to explain the above phenomena. It is also shown that a two-dimensional discrete return map in which nonlinear terms are introduced in a characteristic form simulates systematically the numerical results. In particular, this map model can explain effectively the mechanisms which cause the intermittency and the cliscontinuous bifurcation.  相似文献

This paper deals with a numerical scheme applied to a conservation law model of manufacturing system incorporating yield loss. Yield loss involving a singular term has been considered. Even though an explicit form of the material density in a production system can be obtained under certain assumptions, in general, it is difficult to get an explicit form of the material density. On the other hand, the singular term in a conservation law model imposes severe challenges for the numerical approximations on regular grids. Moreover, an approximate solution often converges to a wrong weak solution. A finite volume type numerical scheme has been studied. The convergence of the numerical solution towards entropy solution (in the Kruzkov sense) is proved. Numerical experiments are presented to get the overview of density distribution and outflux of the system.  相似文献

An orthogonal system of rational functions is discussed. Some inverse inequalities, imbedding inequalities and approximation results are obtained. Two model problems are considered. The stabilities and convergences of proposed rational spectral schemes and rational pseudospectral schemes are proved. The techniques used in this paper are also applicable to other problems on the whole line. Numerical results show the efficiency of this approach.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Diese Mitteilung behandelt eine vollständige Bewertung der Spannungs-Singularität am Rande eines flachen kreisförmigen Spaltes unter der Einwirkung von Elektrostriktion. Die Ergebnisse bestätigen die Schlussfolgerungen, welche früher bei zweidimensionalen Problemen gezogen wurden.Die der Elektrostriktion zuzuschreibende Singularität zeitigt eine rein radiale Spannung, welche nicht dazu neigt, die schon bestehenden Spalten ihrer Ausdehnungs-Oberfläche entlang auszubreiten.

In this paper, we present and analyze a finite volume method based on the Crouzeix–Raviart element for the coupled fracture model, where the fluid flow is governed by Darcy's law in the one‐dimensional fracture and two‐dimensional surrounding matrix. In the numerical scheme, the pressure in the matrix and fracture is respectively approximated by the Crouzeix–Raviart elements and piecewise constant functions, and then the velocity is calculated by piecewise constant functions element by element. The existence and uniqueness of the numerical solution are discussed, and optimal order error estimates for both the pressure p and the velocity u are proved on general triangulations. We finally carry out numerical experiments, and results confirm our theoretical analysis.  相似文献

A rarefied gas flow through a thin slit at an arbitrary gas pressure ratio is calculated on the basis of the kinetic model equations (BGK and S-model) applying the discrete velocity method. The calculations are carried out for the whole range of the gas rarefaction from the free-molecular regime to the hydrodynamic one. Numerical data on the flow rate and distributions of density, bulk velocity and temperature are reported. Comparisons of the present results with those based on the direct simulation Monte Carlo method and on the linearized BGK kinetic equation are performed. The conditions of applicability of the linearized theory are discussed.  相似文献

By using the Schauder fixed point theorem, we establish a result for the existence of solutions of a boundary value problem on the half-line to second order nonlinear delay differential equations. We also present the application of our result to the special case of second order nonlinear ordinary differential equations as well as to a specific class of second order nonlinear delay differential equations. Soft OR tools have increasingly been used to support the strategic development of companies at operational and managerial levels. However, we still lack OR applications that can be useful in dealing with the “implementation gap”, understood as the scarcity of resources available to organizations seeking to align their existing processes and structures with a new strategy. In this paper we contribute to filling that gap, describing an action research case study where we supported strategy implementation in a Latin American multinational corporation through a soft OR methodology. We enhanced the ‘Methodology to support organizational self-transformation’, inspired by the Viable System Model, with substantive improvements in data collection and analyses. Those adjustments became necessary to facilitate second order learning and agreements on required structural changes among a large number of participants. This case study contributes to the soft OR and strategy literature with insights about the promise and constraints of this soft OR methodology to collectively structure complex decisions that support organizational redesign and strategy implementation.  相似文献
