The Mann iterations have no strong convergence even for nonexpansive mappings in Hilbert spaces. The aim of this paper is to propose a modification of the Mann iterations for strictly asymptotically pseudocontractive maps in Hilbert spaces to have strong convergence. Our results extend those of Kim, Xu, Nakajo, Takahashi and many others.

Weak convergence theorems for strict pseudo-contractions in Banach spaces

In this paper, it is shown that there is a gap in the paper [Chidume, C. E., Shahzad, N.: Weak convergence theorems for a finite family of strict pseudo-contractions. Nonlinear Anal., 72, 1257–1265(2010)], consequently, the main results of the paper do not hold in uniformly smooth Banach spaces. Meanwhile, it is also shown that the main results(Lemma 3.4, Theorems 3.5–3.6, 3.8–3.9) in the paper [Cholamjiak, P., Suantai, S.: Weak convergence theorems for a countable family of strict pseudo-contractions in Banach spaces. Fixed Point Theory Appl., 2010, Article ID 632137, 16 pages(2010)] do not hold in Lpfor p 3. Finally, some modified results are presented in the setting of uniformly smooth and uniformly convex Banach spaces which include Lpfor p ≥ 2 as special cases. Furthermore, our arguments are also different from the ones given by the authors above.     

Mann iteration of weak convergence theorems in Banach space

In this paper, by using Mann＇s iteration process we will establish several weak convergence theorems for approximating a fixed point of k-strictly pseudocontractive mappings with respect to p in p-uniformly convex Banach spaces. Our results answer partially the open question proposed by Marino and Xu, and extend Reich＇s theorem from nonexpansive mappings to k-strict pseudocontractive mappings.     

Strong convergence theorems of common elements for equilibrium problems and fixed point problems in banach spaces

In this paper,we consider hybrid algorithms for finding common elements of the set of common fixed points of two families quasi-φ-non-expansive mappings and the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem.We establish strong convergence theorems of common elements in uniformly smooth and strictly convex Banach spaces with the property (K).

In this paper, we establish the strong convergent theorems of an iterative algorithm for asymptotically nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces and nonexpansive mappings in uniformly smooth Banach spaces, respectively. Modified block iterative method for solving convex feasibility problem,equilibrium problems and variational inequality problems

The purpose of this paper is by using the modified block iterative method to propose an algorithm for finding a common element in the intersection of the set of common fixed points of an infinite family of quasi-φ-asymptotically nonexpansive and the set of solutions to an equilibrium problem and the set of solutions to a variational inequality. Under suitable conditions some strong convergence theorems are established in 2-uniformly convex and uniformly smooth Banach spaces. As applications we utilize the results presented in the paper to solving the convex feasibility problem (CFP) and zero point problem of maximal monotone mappings in Banach spaces. The results presented in the paper improve and extend the corresponding results announced by many authors.

The results presented in this paper extend and improve the main results of Sun, Gu and Osilike published on J. Math. Anal. Appl.     

Viscosity iterative methods for common fixed points of two nonexpansive mappings without commutativity assumption in Hilbert spaces

In this article, we introduce a new viscosity iterative method for two nonexpansive mappings in Hilbert spaces. We also prove, without commutativity assumption, that the iterates converge to a common fixed point of the mappings which solves some variational inequality. The results presented extend the corresponding results of Shimizu and Takahashi [T. Shimizu, W. Takahashi, Strong convergence to common fixed point of families of nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 211 (1997), 71-83], and Yao and Chen [Y. Yao, R. Chen, Convergence to common fixed points of average mappings without commutativity assumption in Hilbert spaces, Nonlinear Analysis 67(2007), 1758-1763].     

Approximation of the Nearest Common Fixed Point of Asymptotically Nonexpansive Mappings in Banach Spaces

In this paper, the iteration xn＋l =αny ＋ （1 -αn）Ti（n）k（n）xn for a family of asymptotically nonexpansive mappings T1, T2, ..., TN is originally introduced in an uniformly convex Banach space. Motivated by recent papers, we prove that under suitable conditions the iteration scheme converges strongly to the nearest common fixed point of the family of asymptotically nonexpansive mappings. The results presented in this paper expand and improve correponding ones from Hilbert spaces to uniformly convex Banach spaces, or from nonexpansive mappings to asymptotically nonexpansive mappings.     

CONVERGENCE ANALYSIS FOR SYSTEM OF EQUILIBRIUM PROBLEMS AND LEFT BREGMAN STRONGLY RELATIVELY NONEXPANSIVE MAPPING

In this paper, we prove strong convergence theorems for approximation of a fixed point of a left Bregman strongly relatively nonexpansive mapping which is also a solution to a finite system of equilibrium problems in the framework of reflexive real Banach spaces. We also discuss the approximation of a common fixed point of a family of left Bregman strongly nonexpansive mappings which is also solution to a finite system of equilibrium problems in reflexive real Banach spaces. Our results complement many known recent results in the literature.

Using the result, we consider the problem of finding a common fixed point of a nonexpansive mapping and a strictly pseudocontractive mapping in a real Hilbert space.     

A STRONG CONVERGENCE THEOREM FOR QUASI-EQUILIBRIUM PROBLEMS IN BANACH SPACES

In this paper,we study an extragradient algorithm for approximating solutions of quasi-equilibrium problems in Banach spaces.We prove strong convergence of the sequence generated by the extragradient method to a solution of the quasi-equilibrium problem.
