A simple undirected graph is said to be semisymmetric if it is regular and edge-transitive but not vertex-transitive. Let p be a prime. It was shown by Folkman (J. Combin. Theory 3 (1967) 215–232) that a regular edge-transitive graph of order 2p or 2p 2 is necessarily vertex-transitive. In this paper, an extension of his result in the case of cubic graphs is given. It is proved that, every cubic edge-transitive graph of order 8p is symmetric, and then all such graphs are classified.  相似文献

In this paper we classify the p-local finite groups over p1+2+, the extraspecial group of order p3 and exponent p for odd p. This study reduces to the classification of the saturated fusion systems over p1+2+, which will be characterized by the outer automorphism group, the number of -radical subgroups and the automorphism group of each nontrivial -radical subgroup. We introduce the concept of Lp-maximal regularity for second order Cauchy problems. We prove Lp-maximal regularity for an abstract model problem and we apply the abstract results to prove existence, uniqueness and regularity of solutions for nonlinear wave equations. The rank of a q-ary code C is the dimension of the subspace spanned by C. The kernel of a q-ary code C of length n can be defined as the set of all translations leaving C invariant. Some relations between the rank and the dimension of the kernel of q-ary 1-perfect codes, over as well as over the prime field , are established. Q-ary 1-perfect codes of length n=(qm − 1)/(q − 1) with different kernel dimensions using switching constructions are constructed and some upper and lower bounds for the dimension of the kernel, once the rank is given, are established.Communicated by: I.F. Functions whose translates span L p (R) are called L p-cyclic functions. For a fixed p \memb [1, \infty], we construct Schwartz-class functions which are L r -cyclic for r > p and not L r - cyclic for r \le p. We then construct Schwartz-class functions which are L r -cyclic for r \ge p and not L r -cyclic for r < p. The constructions differ for p \memb (1, 2) and p > 2.  相似文献

Explicit expressions for 4n + 2 primitive idempotents in the semi-simple group ring $R_{2p^{n}}\equiv \frac{GF(q)[x]}{p and q are distinct odd primes; n ≥ 1 is an integer and q has order \fracf(2pn)2{\frac{\phi(2p^{n})}{2}} modulo 2p n . The generator polynomials, the dimension, the minimum distance of the minimal cyclic codes of length 2p n generated by these 4n + 2 primitive idempotents are discussed. For n = 1, the properties of some (2p, p) cyclic codes, containing the above minimal cyclic codes are analyzed in particular. The minimum weight of some subset of each of these (2p, p) codes are observed to satisfy a square root bound.  相似文献

In this article we study the problem of extending Fourier Multipliers on L p (T) to those on L p (R) by taking convolution with a kernel, called a summability kernel. We characterize the space of such kernels for the cases p = 1 and p = 2. For other values of p we give a necessary condition for a function to be a summability kernel. For the case p = 1, we present properties of measures which are transferred from M(T) to M(R) by summability kernels. Furthermore it is shown that every l p sequence can be extended to some L q (R) multipliers for certain values of p and q.  相似文献

A graph is said to be vertex-transitive non-Cayley if its full automorphism group acts transitively on its vertices and contains no subgroups acting regularly on its vertices. In this paper, a complete classification of cubic vertex-transitive non-Cayley graphs of order 12p, where p is a prime, is given. As a result, there are 11 sporadic and one infinite family of such graphs, of which the sporadic ones occur when p equals 5, 7 or 17, and the infinite family exists if and only if p ≡ 1 (mod 4), and in this family there is a unique graph for a given order.  相似文献

A 2-cell embedding f : X → S of a graph X into a closed orientable surface S can be described combinatorially by a pair M = (X;ρ ) called a map, where ρ is a product of disjoint cycle permutations each of which is the permutation of the arc set of X initiated at the same vertex following the orientation of S . It is well known that the automorphism group of M acts semi-regularly on the arc set of X and if the action is regular, then the map M and the embedding f are called regular. Let p and q be primes. Du et al. [J. Algebraic Combin., 19, 123-141 (2004)] classified the regular maps of graphs of order pq . In this paper all pairwise non-isomorphic regular maps of graphs of order 4 p are constructed explicitly and the genera of such regular maps are computed. As a result, there are twelve sporadic and six infinite families of regular maps of graphs of order 4 p ; two of the infinite families are regular maps with the complete bipartite graphs K2p,2p as underlying graphs and the other four infinite families are regular balanced Cayley maps on the groups Z4p , Z22 × Zp and D4p .  相似文献

We give a characterization of structurally stable diffeomorphisms by making use of the notion of L p -shadowing property. A group G is said to be capable if it is isomorphic to the central factor group H/Z(H) for some group H. Let G be a nonabelian group of order p 2 q for distinct primes p and q. In this paper, we compute the nonabelian tensor square of the group G. It is also shown that G is capable if and only if either Z(G) = 1 or p < q and Gab=\mathbbZp×\mathbbZp{G^{\rm ab}=\mathbb{Z}_{p}\times\mathbb{Z}_{p}} .  相似文献

All groups considered in this paper will be finite. Our main result here is the following theorem. Let G be a solvable group in which the Sylow p-subgroups are either bicyclic or of order p 3 for any pπ(G). Then the derived length of G is at most 6. In particular, if G is an A4-free group, then the following statements are true: (1) G is a dispersive group; (2) if no prime qπ(G) divides p 2 + p + 1 for any prime pπ(G), then G is Ore dispersive; (3) the derived length of G is at most 4.  相似文献
