τ-Rigid Modules for Algebras with Radical Square Zero

For a radical square zero algebra A and an indecomposable right A-module M,when A is Gorenstein of finite representation type or τM is τ-rigid,M is τ-rigid if and only if the first two projective terms of a minimal projective resolution of M have no non-zero direct summands in common.In particular,we determine all τ-tilting modules for Nakayama algebras with radical square zero.     

Gorenstein-Projective Modules over Morita Rings

Let △(φ,ψ) =(A BMA ANBB) be a Morita ring which is an Artin algebra.In this paper we investigate the relations between the Gorenstein-projective modules over a Morita ring △(φ,ψ) and the algebras A and B.We prove that if △(φ,ψ) is a Gorenstein algebra and both MA and AN (resp.,both NB and BM) have finite projective dimension,then A (resp.,B) is a Gorenstein algebra.We also discuss when the CM-freeness and the CM-finiteness of a Morita ring △(φ,ψ) is inherited by the algebras A and B.

本文研究了Gorenstein投射维数的相关问题.利用经典同调维数的研究方法,给出了Gorenstein投射维数有限模的Gorenstein投射维数的一个刻画,并利用这一结果证明了Gorenstein完全环和Artin环的Gorenstein整体维数分别由各自的循环模和单模的Gorenstein投射维数来确定.这些结论丰富了Gorenstein同调代数理论.     

On the Projective Dimensions of Mackey Functors

We examine the projective dimensions of Mackey functors and cohomological Mackey functors. We show over a field of characteristic p that cohomological Mackey functors are Gorenstein if and only if Sylow p-subgroups are cyclic or dihedral, and they have finite global dimension if and only if the group order is invertible or Sylow subgroups are cyclic of order 2. By contrast, we show that the only Mackey functors of finite projective dimension over a field are projective. This allows us to give a new proof of a theorem of Greenlees on the projective dimension of Mackey functors over a Dedekind domain. We conclude by completing work of Arnold on the global dimension of cohomological Mackey functors over ?.     

NOETHERIAN GR-REGULAR RINGS ARE REGULAR

It is proved that for a left Noetherian z-graded ring A,if every finitely generated graded A-module has finite projective dimension(i.e-,A is gr-regular)then every finitely generated A-module has finite projective dimension(i.e.,A is regular).Some applications of this result to filtered rings and some classical cases are also given.

First,Second, and Third Change of Rings Theorems for Gorenstein Homological dimensions

In this article, we investigate the change of rings theorems for the Gorenstein dimensions over arbitrary rings. Namely, by the use of the notion of strongly Gorenstein modules, we extend the well-known first, second, and third change of rings theorems for the classical projective and injective dimensions to the Gorenstein projective and injective dimensions, respectively. Each of the results established in this article for the Gorenstein projective dimension is a generalization of a G-dimension of a finitely generated module M over a noetherian ring R.     

Transfer of Gorenstein dimensions along ring homomorphisms

A central problem in the theory of Gorenstein dimensions over commutative noetherian rings is to find resolution-free characterizations of the modules for which these invariants are finite. Over local rings, this problem was recently solved for the Gorenstein flat and the Gorenstein projective dimensions; here we give a solution for the Gorenstein injective dimension. Moreover, we establish two formulas for the Gorenstein injective dimension of modules in terms of the depth invariant; they extend formulas for the injective dimension due to Bass and Chouinard.

A class of A-modules is socle-fine if for any A-modules M and N in this class, M and N are isomorphic if and only if socle of M and socle of N are isomorphic. A ring A is a left V-ring if and only if the class of indecomposable quasi-injective A-modules with large socle is socle-fine. A ring A is a left V-ring noetherian if and only if the class of quasi-injective /4-modules with large socle is socle-fine. A ring A is Pseudo-Frobenius if and only if A is a left, cogenerator and the class of projective A-modules is socle-fine.     

Gorenstein Injective Dimension for Complexes and Iwanaga–Gorenstein Rings

The main purpose of this article is to present some applications of the notion of Gorenstein injective dimension of complexes over an associative ring. Among the applications, we give some new characterizations of Iwanaga–Gorenstein rings. In particular, we show that an associative ring R is Iwanaga–Gorenstein if and only if the class of complexes of Gorenstein injective dimension less than or equal to zero and the class of complexes of finite projective dimension are orthogonal complement of each other with respect to the ‘Ext’ functor.     

Gorenstein dimensions of unbounded complexes and change of base (with an appendix by Driss Bennis)

For a commutative ring R and a faithfully flat R-algebra S we prove,under mild extra assumptions,that an R-module M is Gorenstein flat if and only if the left S-module S?_R M is Gorenstein flat,and that an R-module N is Gorenstein injective if and only if it is cotorsion and the left S-module Hom R(S,N)is Gorenstein injective.We apply these results to the study of Gorenstein homological dimensions of unbounded complexes.In particular,we prove two theorems on stability of these dimensions under faithfully flat (co-)base change.     

Gorenstein Analogue of Auslander's Theorem on the Global Dimension

In this paper, we prove that the Gorenstein analogue of the well-known Auslander's theorem on the global dimension holds true. Namely, we prove that the Gorenstein global dimension of a commutative ring R is equal to the supremum of the set of Gorenstein projective dimensions of all cyclic R-modules.     

Gorenstein Projective Precovers

We prove that the class of Gorenstein projective modules is special precovering over any left GF-closed ring such that every Gorenstein projective module is Gorenstein flat and every Gorenstein flat module has finite Gorenstein projective dimension. This class of rings includes (strictly) Gorenstein rings, commutative noetherian rings of finite Krull dimension, as well as right coherent and left n-perfect rings. In Sect. 4 we give examples of left GF-closed rings that have the desired properties (every Gorenstein projective module is Gorenstein flat and every Gorenstein flat has finite Gorenstein projective dimension) and that are not right coherent.     

Quasi-injective dimension

Following our previous work about quasi-projective dimension [11], in this paper, we introduce quasi-injective dimension as a generalization of injective dimension. We recover several well-known results about injective and Gorenstein-injective dimensions in the context of quasi-injective dimension such as the following. (a) If the quasi-injective dimension of a finitely generated module M over a local ring R is finite, then it is equal to the depth of R. (b) If there exists a finitely generated module of finite quasi-injective dimension and maximal Krull dimension, then R is Cohen-Macaulay. (c) If there exists a nonzero finitely generated module with finite projective dimension and finite quasi-injective dimension, then R is Gorenstein. (d) Over a Gorenstein local ring, the quasi-injective dimension of a finitely generated module is finite if and only if its quasi-projective dimension is finite.

In the Gorenstein homological theory, Gorenstein projective and Gorenstein injective dimensions play an important and fundamental role. In this paper, we aim at studying the closely related strongly Gorenstein flat and Gorenstein FP-injective dimensions, and show that some characterizations similar to Gorenstein homological dimensions hold for these two dimensions.     

Derived equivalences and Cohen-Macaulay Auslander algebras

Let A and B be Artin R-algebras of finite Cohen-Macaulay type. Then we prove that, if A and B are standard derived equivalent, then their Cohen-Macaulay Auslander algebras are also derived equivalent. And we show that Gorenstein projective conjecture is an invariant under standard derived equivalence between Artin R-algebras.
