Abstract

The relaxation times of Liquid castor oil have been investigated by observing the scattered light of a He-Ne gas laser during the slow or rapid application of pressure up to 0.7 GPa at 293 K. For the application of pressure above 0.36 GPa the strong increase of the scattered light intensity approximately by a factor of 102 has been observed 12 hours after an application of pressure. This pressure effect is also observed for subsequent pressure cycles, i.e., the pressure effect is reversible. Experimental results are interpreted according to a model of a liquid of long rod molecules.  相似文献

Abstract

Time dependencies p(t)V,T, nd V(t),P,T, at room temperature as castor oil phase transition indicators were investigated. The time after which the transition takes place, within the pressure range from 0.36 up to 1.05 GPa, strongly depends on pressure. Its minimum, at about 0.6 GPa is equal to 15 hours. Under the same conditions of experiment the largest change in volume (about ?2%) was detected. The relative changes of volume on pressure for the normal state of castor oil and for its new high pressure state have been found to be approximately the same. A large hysteresis of volume changes after the phase transition has also been observed.  相似文献

Abstract

The application of a novel fiber-optic technique for the determination of the refractive index of liquids under high pressure is outlined. The present method is based on th measurements of the scattered light intensity on certain types of rough surfaces. Here we present the effect of pressure on the refractive index of castor oil. A significant increase of the refractive index has been observed in the whole range of pressure up to 0.8 GPa.  相似文献

In this study, an adhesive of a polyurethane derivate from castor oil was irradiated with gamma radiation from a 60Co source, at doses from 0.2 to 25 kGy. This adhesive polyurethane is considered for use in hospital furniture because it does not liberate dangerous solvents. Hardness and elastic modulus were measured by instrumented indentation with a pyramidal Berkovich indenter, using loads from 0.08–40 mN with a nanoindenter XP. The instrumented indentation hardness was 110 MPa for an untreated sample, increasing to 124 MPa after irradiation with 25 kGy, at penetration depths of about 5 μm. The increases in elastic modulus induced by radiation were less pronounced. This polyurethane is naturally cross-linked and the relative modifications in the hardness are attributed to an additional cross-linking process induced by radiation. X-ray diffraction indicates a slight increase in crystallinity. The roughness measured by atomic force microscopy increases after gamma irradiation.  相似文献

Structure properties of silicone oil serving as a liquid substrate exposed to Ar plasma are investigated in this paper. Under the action of energetic Ar ions, the surface of silicone oil liquid substrate exhibits a branch-like fractal aggregation structure, which is related to the structure evolution of silicone oil liquid from Si--O chain to Si--O network. The radicals from the dissociation of silicone oil molecule into the Ar plasma turns the plasma into a reactive environment. Therefore, the structural evolution of silicone oil liquid substrate and the reactive radicals in the plasma space become possible factors to affect the aggregation of nanoparticles and also the structures and the compositions of nanoparticles.  相似文献

激光二极管斜抽运的多增益段串接的液体激光器能够明显地提高激光光束质量、获得较高的输出功率.针对斜抽运子增益段工作时所涉及的流动、传热和壁面耦合,建立了计算子增益段流场热分布的流-热-固耦合模型,应用有限单元法完成了其瞬态流场热分布的数值模拟.该方法排除了不精确的换热系数对计算结果的影响,使得换热系数不再是计算的先决条件,而只是计算结果之一,并且为评价流道形状、流速、吸收系数等因素对流场热的影响,以及进一步改进和控制液体激光介质的流场热分布,提供了可靠的分析方法.数值模拟研究表明:换热系数是空间位置的函数,  相似文献

A new multi-element analysis technique based on laser-excited atomic fluorescence was reviewed. However, the one-wavelength-one-transition constraint was overcome. Numerous elements were induced to fluoresce at a single excitation wavelength of 193 nm. This was possible provided that the analytes were imbedded in dense plumes, such as those produced by pulsed laser ablation. The underlying mechanism of the technique was explained and corroborated. Analytical applications to metals, plastics, ceramics and their composites were discribed. Detection limits in the ng/g range and mass limits of atto moles were demonstrated. Several real-world problems, including the analysis of paint coating for trace lead, the non-destructive analysis of potteries and ink, the chemical profiling of electrode-plastic interfaces, and the analysis of ingestible lead colloids were discussed.  相似文献

A fiber optic sensing system for the detection of adulteration of coconut oil by paraffin oil is experimentally demonstrated. The sensing mechanism is based on the sensitive dependence of the resonance peaks of a long period grating (LPG) on the changes of the refractive index of the environmental medium surrounding the cladding surface of the grating. The wavelength shift of the attenuation bands of the LPG was measured with the sensor immersed in a mixture of paraffin oil and pure coconut oil in different proportions. Detection limit of adulteration was found to be 3% for coconut oil-paraffin oil binary mixture.  相似文献

A microwave-optical double resonance (MODR) involving the J = 212192 and J = 212172 components of the 100, 10 ← 91, 9 rotational transition of the ground vibronic state of 14N16O2 has been observed using the 4579 Å Ar+ laser line for excitation. By means of high resolution study of the laser excited fluorescence, the optical transition has been assigned to the J = 192212 spin component of the 90, 9 ← 100, 10 transition from the ground vibronic state to an unknown vibrational state of A1 symmetry of the 2B2 electronic state.  相似文献

The electric field in a surface discharge type ac-PDP cell with He or He/Xe(0.1%) mixture has been measured over a wide range of pressure (5-50 kPa) using laser induced fluorescence detection. The wall voltage was estimated from the measured electric field. The Stark manifolds of triplet atomic helium Rydberg state (2s^3S) with principal quantum numbers (n=8 and 9) have been used to measure the electric field, as the lifetime of 2s^3S is longer than the single atomic helium Rydberg state (2s^1S) in high pressure discharge. Comparison of the Stark manifolds between the n=9 and n=8 shows that the measurement accuracy of electric field can be increased by 10%. The maximum electric field strength during discharge and the wall voltage at the end of pulse decreases with the increase of pressure. The comparison of He and He/Xe(0.1%) discharge at 13 kPa showed that He/Xe gas mixture discharge can accumulate more wall charge on MgO surface and the electric field was somewhat higher than those of pure helium discharge during pulse off period under the same discharge conditions.  相似文献

The structural deformation of NO_2 group induced by an intense femtosecond laser field of liquid nitromethane(NM)molecule is detected by time-and frequency-resolved coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy(CARS) technique with the intense pump laser. Here, we present the mechanism of molecular alignment and deformation. The CARS spectra and its FFT spectra of liquid NM show that the NO_2 torsional mode couples with the CN symmetric stretching mode and that the NO_2 group undergoes ultrafast structural deformation with a relaxation time of 195 fs. The frequency of the NO_2 torsional mode in liquid NM(50.8±0.3 cm~(-1)) at room temperature is found. Our results prove the structural deformation of two groups in liquid NM molecule occur simultaneously in the intense laser field.  相似文献

离子液体辅助N,S,F共掺杂纳米TiO2的制备与表征   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
以TiCl4、硫脲和离子液体([C6mim]+[BF4]-)为原料,采用微波催化水解法合成掺杂的纳米TiO2前驱体,在NH3/N2气氛中经程序升温煅烧处理制得N,S,F共掺杂TiO2光催化剂(N—S—F—TiO2)。采用X射线粉末衍射(XRD)、X射线光电子能谱(XPS)、紫外-可见漫反射光谱(UV-Vis/DRS)等对该光催化剂的结构和性能进行表征。结果表明,该光催化剂为锐钛矿晶型,具有较高的纯度和结晶度,掺杂在TiO2晶体中形成Ti—O—N键,Ti—O—S键,Ti—S键,而F以TiOF2形态掺杂。在可见光区400~550nm具有强吸收,且在600~800nm出现一个较强的吸收带。实验表明,使用[C6mim]+[BF4]-与H2O的体积比为5/95所制得的光催化剂对甲基橙降解的催化活性最高,可见光照射200min降解率达95%。多掺杂的协同效应使得N—S—F—TiO2具有对可见光的强烈吸收和较高的可见光催化活性。  相似文献

The electron momentum correlation after nonsequential double ionization of N2 and O2 in ultrashort light pulses at light intensities near 1.5 x 10(14) W/cm(2) has been investigated. The experimental results reveal distinctive differences between the molecular species and between molecules and atoms of similar ionization threshold. We provide evidence that recollision double ionization is the essential mechanism and trace the origin of the differences back to the symmetry of the orbitals occupied by the valence electrons.  相似文献

We analyze the dynamics of a microscale liquid surface interacting with a time-dependent electrostatic field. The analysis is based on Hamilton’s theory, which can deal with electrodynamics as well as mechanics. The analysis predicts that the mass of a liquid interacting with an electrostatic field is reduced as a result of its motion. The mass reduction occurs through the formation of a high-aspect liquid meniscus, which is eventually transformed to a molecular flow of the liquid. The high-aspect liquid meniscus is used to erect a CNT on the glass surface, and the molecular flow is used to initiate a plasma-induced reaction that produces a hydrogen-storing polymer.  相似文献
