正Aims and Scope:Annals of Applied Mathematics(AAM) was established in 1985,with the original title Annals of Differential Equations.AAM is an international journal devoted to the publication of original research papers and review articles in all areas of applied mathematics,with an emphasis on differential equations,probability and statistics,computational mathematics and discrete mathematics.The journal is published in one volume annually consisting of four issues.

以太原工业学院为例,分析了数学与应用数学专业培养应用型人才所面临的挑战.结合该校地方性和应用型的特点,基于岗位需求为导向,围绕"毕业生未来就业岗位—培养目标—能力与素质要求—课程设置"这条主线完成了金融数学和软件开发两个方向的课程设置,以此建立"模块化教学,分流培养"的培养体系,为应用型本科院校数学与应用数学专业课程体系设置提供参考.

本探讨了“应用数学基础”课程改革的必要性，从教师队伍建设、教学内容改革、教学手段与教学方法改革、课程教材建设和教学实战等五个方面提出了我们的想法。     

Applied Mathematics in the Secondary School

It is suggested that applied mathematics in the secondary school should be based on the practical investigation of everyday situations which lead to the setting up of various mathematical models. These situations should be selected so that problems of social and psychological importance are considered as well as dynamical and statistical problems. Activities of this kind in the areas of classical mechanics, networks, information theory and linear systems are outlined. These lead to models involving many different branches of mathematics. A syllabus embodying these suggestions is proposed.
