This paper reports the photoluminescence and afterglow behavior of Eu2+ and Eu3+ in Sr3Al2O6 matrix co-doped with Dy3+. The samples containing Eu2+ and Eu3+ were prepared via solid-state reaction. X-ray diffraction (XRD), photo luminescent spectroscope (PLS) and thermal luminescent spectroscope (TLS) were employed to characterize the phosphors. The comparison between the emission spectra revealed that Sr3Al2O6 phosphors doped with Eu2+, Dy3+ and Eu3+, Dy3+ showed different photoluminescence. The phosphor doped with Eu3+, Dy3+ showed an intrinsic f-f transition generated from Eu3+, with two significant emissions at 591 and 610 nm. However, the phosphor doped with Eu2+, Dy3+ revealed a broad d-f emission centering around 512 nm. After the UV source was turned off, Eu2+, Dy3+ activated Sr3Al2O6 phosphor showed excellent afterglow while Eu3+, Dy3+ activated phosphor almost showed no afterglow. Thermal simulated luminescence study indicated that the persistent afterglow of Sr3Al2O6: Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphor was generated by suitable electron traps formed by the co-doped rare-earth ions (Dy3+) within the host.  相似文献

A type of red luminescent Sr3Al2O6:Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphor powder is synthesised by sol-gel-combustion processing, with metal nitrates used as the source of metal ions and citric acid as a chelating agent of metal ions. By tracing the formation process of the sol-gel, it is found that it is necessary to reduce the amount of NO3- by dropping ethanol into the solution for forming a stable and homogeneous sol-gel. Thermogravimetric and Differential Scanning Calorimeter Analysis, x-ray diffractionmeter, scanning electron microscopy and photoluminescence spectroscopy are used to investigate the luminescent properties of the as-synthesised Sr3Al2O6:Eu2+, Dy3+. The results reveal that the Sr3Al2O6 crystallises completely when the combustion ash is sintered at 1250 C. The excitation and the emission spectra indicate that the excitation broadband lies mainly in a visible range and the phosphors emit a strong light at 618 nm under the excitation of 472 nm. The afterglow of (Sr0.94Eu0.03Dy0.03)3Al2O6 phosphors sintered at 1250 ℃ lasts for over 1000 s when the excited source is cut off.  相似文献

Long persistent SrAl2O4:Eu2+ phosphors co-doped with Dy3+ were prepared by the solid state reaction method. The main diffraction peaks of the monoclinic structure of SrAl2O4 were observed in all the samples. The broad band emission spectra at 497 nm for SrAl2O4:Eu2+, Dy3+ were observed and the emission is attributed to the 4f65d1 to 4f7 transition of Eu2+ ions. The samples annealed at 1100–1200 °C showed similar broad TL glow curves centered at 120 °C. The similar TL glow curves suggest that the traps responsible for them are similar. The long afterglow displayed by the phosphors annealed at different temperatures, may be attributed to the Dy3+ ions acting as the hole trap levels, which play an important role in prolonging the duration of luminescence.  相似文献

Needle-like SrAl2O4:Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphors had been prepared by calcining the precursors obtained from hydrothermal process at the temperature of 1100 °C in a weak reductive atmosphere of active carbon. The crystal structure, morphology and optical properties of the composites were characterized. X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns illustrated that the single-phase SrAl2O4 was formed at 1100 °C, which is much lower than that prepared by the traditional method. The transmission electron microscope (TEM) observation revealed the precursors and the resulted SrAl2O4:Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphors had well-dispersed distribution and needle-like morphology with an average diameter about 150 nm at the center and the length up to 1 μm. After irradiation by ultraviolet radiation with 350 nm for 5 min, the phosphors emit green color long-lasting phosphorescence corresponding to the typical emission of Eu2+ ion, both the PL spectra and luminance decay revealed that the phosphors had efficient luminescent and long lasting properties.  相似文献

YVO4:Eu3+,Bi3+ phosphors have been prepared by the high-temperature solid-state (HT) method and the Pechini-type sol-gel (SG) method. Spherical SiO2 particles have been further coated with YVO4:Eu3+,Bi3+ phosphor layers by the Pechini-type SG process, and it leads to the formation of core-shell structured SiO2/YVO4:Eu3+,Bi3+ phosphors. Therefore, the phase formations, structures, morphologies, and photoluminescence properties of the three types of as-prepared YVO4:Eu3+,Bi3+ phosphors were studied in detail. The average diameters for the phosphor particles are 2-4 μm for HT method, 0.1-0.4 μm for SG method, and 0.5 μm for core-shell structured SiO2/YVO4:Eu3+,Bi3+ particles, respectively. Photoluminescence spectra show that effective energy transfer takes place between Bi3+ and Eu3+ ions in each type of as-prepared YVO4:Eu3+,Bi3+ phosphors. Introduction of Bi3+ into YVO4:Eu3+ leads to the shift of excitation band to the long-wavelength region, thus the emission intensities of 5D0-7F2 electric dipole transition of Eu3+ at 615 nm upon 365 nm excitation increases sharply, which makes this phosphor a suitable red-emitting materials that can be pumped with near-UV light emitting diodes (LEDs).  相似文献

With regard to phosphor thermometry, seven luminescent ceramic materials were synthesised and characterised, namely CaMoO4:Eu3+, CaTiO3:Pr3+, LaPO4:Eu3+, LaVO4:Eu3+, LiAl5O8:Fe3+, TiMg2O4:Mn4+ and ZnGa2O4:Mn2+. In this context, emission spectra and temperature lifetime characteristics are presented. Thus, a survey of phosphors novel for thermography is given in order to encourage further studies and more detailed characterisations of the respective materials.  相似文献

We report an effective method to synthesize SrAl2O4:Eu2+,Dy3+ nanosheets. Sheet-like precursors were firstly synthesized by the solvothermal method, and acetate was used as the raw material. Then the final products were obtained by calcinating the precursor in a weak reductive atmosphere of H2. The crystal structure and particle morphology were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns, field-emission scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy (FE-SEM and TEM) , respectively. A possible growth mechanism was proposed to reveal the formation process. Luminescence properties of the SrAl2O4:Eu2+,Dy3+ long-lasting phosphor were analyzed by measuring the excitation spectra, the emission spectra, the afterglow decay curve and the thermoluminescence curve. Both the photoluminescence (PL) spectra and luminance decay revealed that the phosphors had efficient luminescent and long lasting properties compared with the phosphors prepared by using nitrates as the raw material. Furthermore, the photoluminescence intensity was even a little higher than commercial phosphors.  相似文献

Sr2MgSi2O7:Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphors were prepared by the (aminopropyl)-triethoxysilane (APTES) co-precipitation method. Effects of synthesis temperature on the crystal characteristics, luminescent properties and afterglow performance of Sr2MgSi2O7:Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphors have been discussed in detail and compared with the corresponding commercial product. The experimental results indicated that the sample could be synthesized at a relatively lower temperature and had better performance on the above-mentioned properties using the co-precipitation method.  相似文献

Photoluminescent phosphors CaGa2S4: Eu2+, RE3+ (RE3+ including all rare earth ions except for Sc3+, Pm3+, Eu3+ and Lu3+) were prepared by sintering at high temperature in a reductive atmosphere, and their luminescent properties were studied intensively. The influences of co-doping rare earth ions on their luminescent properties were also investigated. No remarkable differences were found from excitation spectra of co-doped phosphors CaGa2S4: Eu2+, RE3+ in contrast with that of phosphor CaGa2S4: Eu2+, but there were a few differences in emission spectra of Ce3+, Pr3+ or Ho3+ co-doped phosphors. Phosphors CaGa2S4: Eu2+, RE3+ (RE=Ce, Pr, Gd, Tb, Ho and Y) had persistent afterglow, and very short afterglow was shown for Nd3+ or Er3+ co-doped phosphors, but no long afterglow appeared when auxiliary activator was La3+, Sm3+, Dy3+, Tm3+ or Yb3+. Among the phosphors with long-lasting phosphorescence, in our experiments, CaGa2S4: Eu2+, Ho3+ had the longest and the highest brightness long yellow afterglow. Thermo-luminescence of all co-doped phosphors was measured to find the answer of different influences from different rare earth auxiliary activators.  相似文献

The use of carbon shells offers many advantages in surface coating or surface modification due to their surface with activated carboxyl and carbonyl groups. In this study, the Fe3O4@C@YVO4:Eu3+ composites were prepared through a simple sol–gel process. Reactive carbon interlayer was introduced as a key component, which separates lanthanide-based luminescent component from the magnetite, more importantly, it effectively prevent oxidation of the Fe3O4 core during the whole preparation process. The morphology, structure, magnetic, and luminescent properties of the composites were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), high-resolution TEM, X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectra, VSM, and photoluminescent spectrophotometer. As a result, the Fe3O4@C/YVO4:Eu3+ composites with well-crystallized and core–shell structure were prepared and the YVO4:Eu3+ luminescent layer decorating the Fe3O4@C core–shell microspheres are about 10 nm. In addition, the Fe3O4@C@YVO4:Eu3+ composites have the excellent magnetic and luminescent properties, which allow them great potential for bioapplications such as magnetic bioseparation, magnetic resonance imaging, and drug/gene delivery.  相似文献

Hexagonal YPO4 phosphors doped with Eu3+/Dy3+ and co-doped with Ce3+ were synthesized by a hydrothermal route assisted using lauric acid as a capping agent. The prepared phosphors were characterized by transmission electron microscopy, infrared spectroscopy, powder X-ray diffraction and photoluminescence spectra. YPO4: Eu3+ gives two red emission peaks at 587 and 610?nm corresponding to 5D07F1 and 5D07F2 transitions, respectively. YPO4: Dy3+ exhibits two emission peaks at 485?nm (blue) and 575?nm (yellow) corresponding to 4F9/26H15/2 and 4F9/26H13/2 transitions, respectively. Ce3+ ions enhanced the emission intensity as a co-dopant in both phosphors. Moreover, the effect of γ-radiation in the dose range 5–300?kGy on the photoluminescence behaviour of YPO4:Eu3+,Ce3+ and YPO4:Dy3+,Ce3+ was also investigated. Quenching of emission intensity, after irradiation at 5 and 300?kGy, was observed in both the phosphors due to loss of excess energy through a non-radiative relaxation process.  相似文献

Eu2+ and Dy3+ co-doped calcium aluminate, barium aluminate and strontium aluminate phosphors were synthesized at an initiating combustion temperature of 500 °C using urea as an organic fuel. The crystallinity of the phosphors was investigated by using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and the morphology was determined by a scanning electron microscope (SEM). The low temperature monoclinic structure for both CaAl2O4 and SrAl2O4 and the hexagonal structure of BaAl2O4 were observed. The effect of the host materials on the photoluminescence (PL) and phosphorescence properties were investigated by using a He-Cd Laser and a Cary Eclipse fluorescence spectrophotometer, respectively. The broad band emission spectra observed at 449 nm for CaAl2O4:Eu2+, Dy3+, 450 nm (with a shoulder-peak at 500 nm) for BaAl2O4:Eu2+, Dy3+ and 528 nm for SrAl2O4:Eu2+, Dy3+ are attributed to the 4f65d1 to 4f7 transition in the Eu2+ ion in the different hosts.  相似文献

Using urea as fuel, SrMgAl10O17:Eu, Dy phosphor was prepared by a combustion method. Its luminescence properties under ultraviolet (UV) excitation were investigated. Pure SrMgAl10O17 phase was formed by urea-nitrate solution combustion synthesis at 550 °C. The results indicated that the emission spectra of SrMgAl10O17:Eu, Dy has one main peak at 460 nm and one shoulder peak near 516 nm, which are ascribed to two different types of luminescent Eu2+ centers existing in the SrMgAl10O17 matrix crystal. The blue luminescence emission of SrMgAl10O17:Eu phosphors was improved under UV excitation by codoping Dy3+ ions. The SrMgAl10O17:Eu phosphors showed green afterglow (λ=516 nm) when Dy3+ ions were doped. Dy3+ ions not only successfully play the role of sensitizer for energy transfer in the system, but also act as trap levels and capture the free holes in the spinel blocks.  相似文献

LiCaBO3:M (M=Eu3+, Sm3+, Tb3+, Ce3+, Dy3+) phosphors were synthesized by a normal solid-state reaction using CaCO3, H3BO3, Li2CO3, Na2CO3, K2CO3, Eu2O3, Sm2O3, Tb4O7, CeO2 and Dy2O3 as starting materials. The emission and excitation spectra were measured by a SHIMADZU RF-540 UV spectrophotometer. And the results show that these phosphors can be excited effectively by near-ultraviolet light-emitting diodes (UVLED), and emit red, green and blue light. Consequently, these phosphors are promising phosphors for white light-emitting diodes (LEDs). Under the condition of doping charge compensation Li+, Na+ and K+, the luminescence intensities of these phosphors were increased.  相似文献

YVO4:Yb3+,Er3+; YVO4:Yb3+,Tm3+; and YVO4:Yb3+,Er3+,Tm3+ were all synthesized via sol-gel method with a subsequent thermal treatment. Specifically, YVO4:Yb3+,Er3+,Tm3+ phosphors were prepared with different annealing temperatures to study the influence of temperature. The transmission electron microscope (TEM), scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffractometer (XRD), and photoluminescent (PL) spectrofluorometer were used to investigate the morphology, crystal structure, and up-conversion luminescent properties of all samples. In summary, all samples were granular-like nanoparticles and well crystallized with the same tetragonal phase as YVO4. Under the irradiation at 980 nm, YVO4:Yb3+,Er3+ phosphors can generate green emission at 525 and 553 nm and red emission at 657 nm, while YVO4:Yb3+,Tm3+ phosphors can generate blue emission at 476 nm, red emission at 648 nm, and near-infrared emission at 800 nm. Notably, YVO4:Yb3+,Er3+,Tm3+ samples can exhibit green emission, blue emission, red emission, and near-infrared emission at the same time, which might endow the as-prepared samples with potential applications in many fields, such as luminous paint, infrared detection, and biological label.  相似文献

Eu3+ doped SrAl2B2O7 phosphors were fabricated by the wet method. The structures of the phosphors were characterized by XRD. The doping content of Eu3+ ions in SrAl2B2O7:Eu3+ phosphors are 1%, 4%, 6%, 8%, 10% (molar fraction), respectively. Luminescence properties were analyzed by measuring the excitation and photoluminescence spectra. The luminescent properties of SrAl2B2O7:Eu3+ phosphors are discussed. It is shown that from 4% to 6% of doping content of Eu3+ ions under 392 nm excitation in SrAl2B2O7:Eu3+ phosphors is optimum.  相似文献

Y2O3:Eu3+, Tb3+ phosphors with white emission are prepared with different doping concentration of Eu3+ and Tb3+ ions and synthesizing temperatures from 750 to 950 °C by the co-precipitation method. The resulted phosphors were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. The results of XRD indicate that the crystallinity of the synthesized samples increases with enhancing the firing temperature. The photoluminescence spectra indicate the Eu3+ and Tb3+ co-doped Y2O3 phosphors show five main emission peaks: three at 590, 611 and 629 nm originate from Eu3+ and two at 481 and 541 nm originate from Tb3+, under excitation of 250-320 nm irradition. The white light luminescence color could be changed by varying the excitation wavelength. Different concentrations of Eu3+ and Tb3+ ions were induced into the Y2O3 lattice and the energy transfer from Tb3+→Eu3+ ions in these phosphors was found. The Commission International de l’Eclairage (CIE) chromaticity shows that the Y2O3:Eu3+, Tb3+ phosphors can obtain an intense white emission.  相似文献

In this article, Sr2CeO4:x mol% Eu3+ and Sr2CeO4:5 mol%Eu3+, 3 mol% Dy3+ phosphors were synthesized from assembling hybrid precursors by wet chemical method. As-prepared samples present uniform grain-like morphology and the particle size is about 0.2 μm. The luminescence spectra of Sr2CeO4:x mol% Eu3+ have been measured to examine the influence of the intensity of red emission lines for Eu3+ on the concentration of Eu3+, showing that the intensity of the red emission increases with an increase of the concentration from 1 to 5 mol%. Additionally, from the emission spectra of Sr2CeO4:5 mol%Eu3+, 3 mol% Dy3+ phosphors, the characteristic lines of Dy3+ have also been observed. This result indicates that there also exists an energy transfer process between Sr2CeO4 and Dy3+.  相似文献
