Stark splittings of 7 levels of the configurations 4f 66s6p and 4f 55d6s2 in Sm I were measured by quantum beat spectroscopy in pure electric fields, allowing the determination of tensor polarizabilities. Additionally, the lifetimes of 11 levels of these configurations were determined from time-resolved registration of the exponential decay. From these values the radial integrals I(6p,6s), I(6p,5d), and I(5d,4f) were derived by a parametric analysis. Theoretical values of tensor polarizabilities and lifetimes which were calculated using these radial integrals show good agreement with experimental data of various authors.  相似文献

By use of optical hyperfine structure investigations in the Tm I spectrum theA- values of 20 levels of the configurations 4f 13 6s 6p and 4f 12 5d 6s 2 and theA-value of 4f 13 6s 2 2 F 5/2 were determined very accurately. These data and tenA-factors from former experiments are used for theoretical calculations. 30A-factors have been interpolated from intermediate coupling wave functions using 9 effective mono-electronic parameters. The r.m.s. deviation between experimental and theoreticalA- values amounts to 0.5 10?3 cm?1 and represents 3/100 of the average value of the measuredA-factors.  相似文献

The excitation of transitions terminating at the 4f 12(3 H)5d6s 2(6,3/2) levels of the thulium atom are studied experimentally. Seventy-five cross sections of the TmI spectral lines are measured at an excitation electron energy of 50 eV. Five optical excitation functions are recorded in the electron energy range of 0–200 eV.  相似文献

High-resolution laser fluorescence spectroscopy, using a single-mode dye laser acting on a collimated atomic beam, has been performed to determine the hyperfine-structure (hfs) constants in six states of the 6p 5d configuration of135Ba and137Ba. Isotope shifts (IS) for eleven transitions between the 6s 5d and the 6p 5d configurations have also been measured. From an analysis of the energy levels, intermediate angular wavefunctions have been deduced. The wavefunctions are used to evaluate experimental hyperfine parameters from the experimental hfs constants. The parameters are, for the magnetic-dipole interaction compared with theoretical values, and for the electricquadrupole interaction used to estimate the nuclear quadrupole moments for the odd isotopes. The IS in the measured transitions are analysed using a King-plot, with the first resonance line in Ba II as the reference. Specific mass and field shifts are evaluated for the measured transitions. The field shifts have been used to determine the change in mean-square radius between the natural abundant Ba-isotopes.  相似文献

The hyperfine structure and the isotope shift of transitions between metastable levels of the configuration 4f 75d6s and levels of the configuration 4f 75d6p of151Eu and153Eu were studied by means of the high resolution laser-atomic-beam technique. The metastable states were populated by an arc discharge burning in the atomic beam. The measured hyperfine constantsA andB of the 4f 75d6s configuration allow to perform a parametric analysis using the effective tensor operator formalism. For the first time the nuclear quadrupole moments are deduced from the quadrupole interaction parameters of the 5d electron in Eu I. The values uncorrected for the Sternheimer effect are151 Q(5d)=1.53(5)b and153 Q(5d)=3.92(12)b. A comparison with the quadrupole moments derived from the 6p electron and the intrinsic quadrupole moment of153Eu gives information about Sternheimer's correction factors. The value found for the hyperfine anomaly due tos electrons in the 4f 75d6s configuration agrees very well with previous results in other Eu configurations. The change in the mean-square nuclear charge radius is derived from the isotope shift measurements and compared with the results obtained from other optical transitions in Eu. The mean value isgdr 2151, 153 =0.577(25) fm2.  相似文献

Excited states of Ba have been investigated with optical double resonance and Hanle effect. The followingg J factors and natural lifetimes (in 10?9 sec) have been measured $$\begin{gathered} 6s7p\left\{ {\begin{array}{*{20}c} {^1 P_1 :g_J = 1.003(2)\tau = 13.5(6)} \\ {^3 P_1 :g_J = 1.4971(8)\tau = 85.0(8.0)} \\ \end{array} } \right. \hfill \\ 5d6p\left\{ {\begin{array}{*{20}c} {^1 P_1 :g_J = 1.004(2)\tau = 12.4(9)} \\ {^3 P_1 :g_J = 1.4847(15)\tau = 11.7(9)} \\ {^3 D_1 :g_J = 0.5064(3)\tau = 17.0(5).} \\ \end{array} } \right. \hfill \\ \end{gathered}$$ g J is utilized to test the mixing coefficients of the wave functions in the intermediate coupling model. The lifetimes are converted into absolute transition probabilities for all the decays originating from the states investigated under the assumption that their branching ratios obtained elsewhere are correct. A plane Fabry-Pérot is used to measure, with a precision of about 10-4, the Landé factor of the levels issued from the 5s5p and 5s5d configurations of cadmium I. Calculations taking into account intermediate coupling effects and the anomalous gyromagnetic ratio of the free electron are insufficient to explain some experimental data; in such cases it is necessary to perform a more detailed analysis of the corrections due to the relativistic effects.  相似文献

He atoms have been excited by Ne+ ion impact and the depolarization of the fluorescence lines at 668 nm and 492 nm by magnetic and electric fields has been studied. The Ne+ ion energy could be chosen such that pure cascade level crossing signals were observed. From the widths of magnetic depolarization signals the radiative lifetimes τ(1s4f 1 F)=74(2) ns and τ(1s5f 1 F)=133(5) ns have been determined. By investigating the electric field splitting of the magnetic depolarization signals the tensor polarizabilities ¦α ten(1s4f 1 F)¦=0.58(1) kHz/(V/cm)2 and ¦α ten(1s5f 1 F)¦=4.2(1) kHz/(V/cm)2 have been deduced. From the latter value a mean frequencyv(1s5g?1s5f)=14.4 GHz of the transitions between the levels of the 1s5f configuration and those of the 1s5g configuration has been derived.α ten(1s4f 1 F) depends sensitively on the singlet-triplet mixing in the 1s4f configuration and thus a mixing coefficient could be deduced for this configuration.  相似文献

Relative transition probabilities for 120 lines arising from the 4d5p and 4d5d configurations of ZrIII were determined from measurements of emission-line intensities in a laser-produced plasma. The experiment was carried out with Cu-Zr alloy with a Zr content lower than 13% in order to have an optically thin plasma. Transition probabilities were placed on an absolute scale by using theoretical lifetimes, line-strength sum rules and Boltzmann plot. Comparison of the present experimental results with the available theoretical data is made.  相似文献

Measurements of the hyperfine structures in the 6p5d 1 D 2,3 D 1 and3 F 2, 3, 4 states of135Ba and137Ba, and isotope-shifts in several far-red transitions between the 6s 5d and 6p 5d configurations, as well as the transition 6s 2 1 S 0→6s6p 3 P 1 at 7,911 Å have been performed using high-resolution laser spectroscopy on a collimated atomic beam of natural barium. An analysis of the magnetic-dipole interaction in the 6p 5d configuration using effective one- and two-body hyperfine operators is presented. In particular the contact interaction was studied with respect to the correlation between the two valence electrons. Effects of strong configuration interaction were found. From a King-plot analysis of the isotope shift term- andJ-dependence of the field shift have been evaluated for the transitions between the 6s 5d and 6p 5d configurations. Relativistic Hartree-Fock (RHF) calculations have been performed of electron densities at the nucleus for six different configurations in Ba I and Ba II. The RHF calculations reproduce the experimental King-plot slopes quite well, while the absolute values, of the changes in electron density at the nucleus for the studied transitions, are found to be 9% lower than the results derived from a muonic experiment.  相似文献

Whether the transitions between 6s5d 3D and 5d6p 3F can be used for laser cooling of barium heavily depends upon the transition probabilities of 5d6p 3F-5d2 3F. Taking the transition 6s5d 3D3-5d6p 3F4 as a scale, the leakage rate of 5d6p 3F4-5d2 3F was used to evaluate the transition probabilities. 706 nm laser pulses with different durations were applied to a barium atomic beam for 6s5d 3D3-5d2 3F4 optical pumping, and the remaining percentages in 6s5d 3D3 were measured. After exponential fitting, the transition probability of 5d6p 3F4-5d2 3F3,4 was determined to be 2.1(4)×104 s?1, which is in agreement with theoretical calculations using the scaled Thomas-Fermi-Dirac method.  相似文献

Using a tunable single mode dye laser the isotope shift of the 573.7 nm-line between the isotopes Lu175 and Lu176 has been determined to be IS(176?175, 573.7 nm)=?394(5) MHz yielding a change of mean square nuclear radii ofδr 2〉=0.022(5) fm2. High resolution laser-atomic-beam spectroscopy has been applied to study the hyperfine structure of transitions starting from metastable states of the configuration 4f125d6s2 of Tm I. Transition probabilities for 30 spectral lines, arising from the 5d10 6s{8s, 7p, 5f, 5g} electronic configurations of Pb III (20 measured for the first time), have been experimentally determined from measurements of emission line intensities in a plasma lead induced by ablation with a Nd:YAG laser. The line intensities were obtained with the target placed in molecular argon at 6 Torr, recorded at a 400 ns delay from the laser pulse, which provides appropriate measurement conditions, and analysed between 200 and 700 nm. They are measured when the plasma reaches local thermodynamic equilibrium (LTE). The plasma under study had an electron temperature (T) of 21,400 K and an electron number density (Ne) of 7×1016 cm−3. The influence of self-absorption has been estimated for every line, and plasma homogeneity has been checked. The values obtained were compared with previous experimental values and theoretical estimates where possible.  相似文献

The hyperfine structure and isotope shifts of the transition between the 5d6s2 a2D3/2 ground state and the 5d6s(a3D)6p z4F5/2 ° excited state of singly ionized hafnium at \lambda=340 nm have been investigated by laser spectroscopy using a radio-frequency quadrupole ion trap. The magnetic dipole coupling constant A and electric quadrupole coupling constant B of the two atomic levels for both stable isotopes 177Hf and 179Hf are determined. The changes of mean square nuclear charge radii \delta[ r2] of the stable Hf isotopes and the radioactive isotope 172Hf (T1/2=1.87a) have been extracted from the data. Eight transitions in the Eu I-spectrum connecting the ground state with configuration 4f 7 6s 2 with states of the configuration 4f 7 6s6p were studied with high resolution laseratomic-beam spectroscopy. CW dye lasers operating in the wavelength regions 435–470 nm and 560–630 nm were used for this study. New data for the hyperfine structure in153Eu were obtained as well as new and more accurate values for the isotope shifts between151Eu and153Eu. The existing data for the hyperfine structure in151Eu were reproduced with an exception for the levelz 6 P 7/2.  相似文献
