研究了两个自发辐射路径之间的量子干涉效应对V型三能级原子压缩谱和光子反聚束效应的影响 .结果表明 ,量子干涉可以加强压缩效应和展宽出现压缩的相位角分量的范围 ,但却会减弱反聚束效应.Phase-dependent squeezing spectrum and photon antibunching of resonance fluorescence from a three-level V-type atom driven by a coherent field are investigated. We show that for weak excitation intensities quantum interference can greatly enhance squeezing and change the phase quadrature at which the maximum squeezing occurs. We propose a scheme to realize strong squeezing for a cavity field with a single three-level atom. In the scheme the atom is sent through the cavity initially filled with a coherent field. The atom dispersively interacts with the cavity field, which is displaced by a microwave resource during the interaction. Then, a selective measurement on the atom collapses the field to a superposition of an even coherent state with a vacuum state, which exhibits strong squeezing. The scheme can also be generalized to the two-mode case.  相似文献

Squeezing properties of a two-mode radiation produced by a process of driven degenerate parametric down conversion, when the cavity is coupled to two independent squeezed vacuum reservoirs employing the linearization procedure, are analyzed. The two-mode cavity and output radiations exhibit considerable squeezing even when the oscillator is coupled to a vacuum reservoir. One of the effects of coupling the cavity to the squeezed vacuum reservoirs is to increase the degree of squeezing exponentially. For the output radiation the correlation of the quadrature operators evaluated at different times also contributes to the squeezing, which is the reason for quenching of the overall noise in one of the quadrature components of the fundamental mode.  相似文献

We consider a degenerate parametric oscillator whose cavity contains a two-level atom. Applying the Heisenberg and quantum Langevin equations, we calculate in the bad-cavity limit the mean photon number, the quadrature variance, and the power spectrum for the cavity mode in general and for the signal light and fluorescent light in particular. We also obtain the normalized second-order correlation function for the fluorescent light. We find that the presence of the two-level atom leads to a decrease in the degree of squeezing of the signal light. It so turns out that the fluorescent light is in a squeezed state and the power spectrum consists of a single peak only.  相似文献

We study numerically the evolution of the cavity electromagnetic field mode which is in resonance with an oscillating boundary (dynamical Casimir effect), taking into account the interaction between the field and a two-level atom, that may or not be continuously monitored by a coupled atomic excitation detector. We analyze the behavior of the field statistics and the quadrature squeezing properties in different regimes, demonstrating that at the expense of decreasing the number of produced photons and the degree of squeezing, one can create qualitatively new types of cavity field states.  相似文献

The effect of incoherent population pumping on the steady-state population inversion and the quadrature squeezing spectra produced in the resonance fluorescence of a two-level atom is investigated. In the presence of incoherent population pumping, the steady-state population inversion is increased for small frequency detuning but is not changed for large frequency detuning. For resonant excitation at low intensities, the weak incoherent pumping degrades the degree of the squeezing and shifts the position of the maximum squeezing; for off-resonant excitation at strong intensities, the weak incoherent pumping hardly changes the squeezing spectra. But when the incoherent pumping is strong the squeezing may be completely destroyed for both cases.  相似文献

The phase-modulated quadrature squeezing in the system that composed of two coupled cavities interacting with a two-level atom is investigated. The variances of the amplitude and phase quadrature of the output field are calculated.It turns out that the squeezing behaviors of the output field can be obviously modified due to the phase difference of the coupling strengths between the atom and the two cavities. The squeezing in one quadrature(i.e., phase quadrature) can be transferred into another(i.e., amplitude quadrature), or the quadrature squeezing located at the low-frequency region can be transferred into the high-frequency region by modulating the relative phase of the coupling strengths. Furthermore, the effects of the decay mismatch between the two cavities and the coupling mismatch between the atom and the cavities on the quadrature squeezing have been discussed. The results show that both the decay mismatch and the coupling mismatch play a positive role in generating better quadrature squeezing.  相似文献

The effects on squeezing and sub-poissonian of light in fourth harmonic generation (FHG) are investigated based on the fully quantum mechanically up to the first order Hamiltonian interaction in gt, where g is the coupling constant between the modes per second and t is the interaction time between the waves during the process in a nonlinear medium. FHG is a process in which an incident laser beam of the fundamental frequency ω interacts with a nonlinear medium to produce the harmonic frequency at 4ω. The coupled Heisenberg equations of motion involving real and imaginary parts of the quadrature operators are established. The occurrence of amplitude squeezing effects in both the quadratures of the radiation field in the fundamental mode is investigated and found to be dependent on the selective phase values of the field amplitude. The photon statistics of the pump mode in this process have also been investigated and found to be sub-poissonian in nature. It is found that there is no possibility to produce squeezed light in the harmonic mode up to first-order interaction in gt. Further, we have found the case up to second-order Hamiltonian interaction in gt that the normal squeezing in the harmonic mode is directly depends upon the fourth-order squeezing of the initial pump field. This gives a method of converting higher-order (fourth-order) squeezing into normal squeezing in the harmonic mode and vice versa.  相似文献

The nonclassical squeezing effect emerging from a nonlinear coupling model (generalized Jaynes–Cummings model) of a two-level atom interacting resonantly with a bimodal cavity field via two-photon transitions is investigated in the rotating wave approximation. Various Bloch coherent initial states (rotated states) for the atomic system are assumed, i.e., (i) ground state, (ii) excited state, and (iii) linear superposition of both states. Initially, the atomic system and the field are in a disentangled state, where the field modes are in Glauber coherent states via Poisson distribution. The model is numerically tested against simulations of time evolution of the based Heisenberg uncertainty relation variance and Shannon information entropy squeezing factors. The quantum state purity is computed for the three possible initial states and used as a criterion to get information about the entanglement of the components of the system. Analytical expression of the total density operator matrix elements at t > 0 shows, in fact, the present nonlinear model to be strongly entangled, where each of the definite initial Bloch coherent states is reduced to statistical mixtures. Thus, the present model does not preserve the modulus of the Bloch vector.  相似文献

We theoretically investigate optical bistability (OB) and multistability (OM) behaviour of a closed-loop configuration atomic system driven by a degenerate coupling- field and a degenerate probe field inside a unidirectional ring cavity. It is found that the OB and OM behaviour can be controlled by adjusting- the intensity and the frequency detuning of the coupling- field, respectively. Interestingly, our numerical results show that it is easy to realize the transition from OB to OM or vice versa by adjusting- the intensity of the coupling- field under a appropriate frequency detuning. The effect of the atomic cooperation parameter on the OB behaviour is also discussed.  相似文献

We have investigated vacuum Rabi oscillation of an atom coupled with single-mode cavity field exactly, and compared the results with that of the Jaynes-Cummings (J-C) model. The results show that for resonant ease, there is no Rabi oscillation for an atom. For small detuning and weak coupling case, the probability for the atom in excited state oscillates against time with different frequencies and amplitudes from that of the J-C model. It exhibits that the counter-rotating wave interaction could significantly effect the dynamic behaviour of the atom, even under the condition in which the RWA is considered to be justified.  相似文献

Squeezing via the interaction between the cavity light field and the Bose Einstein Condensate (BEC) in a doublewell potential is considered within the context of the two-mode approximation. For the cavity light field initially in a coherent state, it is shown that by choosing appropriate parameters, quadrature squeezing of the cavity light field can be achieved and it exhibits periodic oscillation. We also study the case in which BEC is tuned to resonance by periodically modulating the trapping potentiaL and the quadrature squeezing of the cavity field exhibits periodic collapse and revival effect. Both analytic and numerical calculations are performed, and they are found to be in good agreement with each other. The result shows that the quantum statistical properties of the cavity light field can be manipulated by its coupling with the condensates in the double-well potential. On the other hand, dynamical properties of the condensates in the double-well potential will be reflected by the quadrature squeezing of the light field.  相似文献

讨论了初始光场为压缩态、原子-光场耦合系数随时间变化情形下双光子过程J-C模型的量子统计性质。具体研究了双光子过程中原子布居数反转、光场的压缩等随时间的演化性质,讨论了初始光场的压缩系数、压缩相位及耦合系数变化快慢对这些性质的影响。研究结果表明,初始光场的压缩系数增大,崩塌和回复的频率增大,回复值减小。当原子-光场耦合系数变化缓慢时,崩塌和回复现象被延迟。而光场逐渐失去压缩性质;而当耦合系数变化较快时,崩塌和回复现象被加速,而光场压缩量将产生振荡,压缩效应将反复出现。  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the model which consists of a degenerate Raman process involving two degenerate Rydberg energy levels of an atom interacting with a single-mode cavity field. The influence of the atomic coherence on the von Neumann entropy of the atom and the atomic inversion is investigated. It is shown that the atomic coherence decreases the amount of atom-field entanglement. It is also found that the collapse and revival times are independent of the atomic coherence, while the amplitude of the revivals is sensitive to this coherence. Moreover, the Q function and the entropy squeezing of the field are examined. Some new conclusions can be obtained.  相似文献

In this paper, we discuss the effects of spatial mode function in an one-photon micromaser in the presence of two-atom events. It is shown that two-atom events allow us a possibility to study the effects of different cavity eigenmodes in a micromaser. We find that squeezing properties of the radiation field depend upon the parity (odd or even) and order (lower or higher) of cavity eigenmodes. For example, squeezing can be obtained for odd-order cavity eigenmodes which completely vanishes for even-order modes. Our results also show that effects similar to self-induced transparency are never obtained in the presence of two-atom events. Finally, we consider the effect of pump fluctuations and cavity losses in our system.  相似文献
