Four manganese(II) complexes of di-2-pyridyl ketone N(4)-methyl (HDpyMeTsc) and N(4)-ethyl thiosemicarbazones (HDpyETsc) were synthesized and physico-chemically characterized by means of partial elemental analyses, molar conductance measurements, electronic, infrared and EPR spectral studies. The complexes are represented as [Mn(DpyMeTsc)2] (1), [Mn(HDpyMeTsc)Cl2] (2), [Mn(HDpyMeTsc)2](ClO4)2 · H2O (3) and [Mn(DpyETsc)2] · 2H2O (4). The crystal structure of [Mn(DpyMeTsc)2] was established by single crystal X-ray diffraction studies. The compound crystallizes into a monoclinic lattice with P21/n space group. Manganese(II) exists in a distorted octahedral geometry in the complex.  相似文献

Nickel(II) complexes of quinoline-2-carbaldehyde N(4),N(4)-(butane-1,4-diyl) thiosemicarbazone (HL1) and 2-benzoylpyridine N(4),N(4)-(butane-1,4-diyl) thiosemicarbazone (HL2) have been synthesized and physico-chemically characterized by means of partial elemental analyses, molar conductance measurements, magnetic measurements, electronic and infrared spectral studies. Three complexes were given the formulae [Ni(HL1)2]Cl2 (1), [Ni(HL2)L2]ClO4 · 7H2O (2) and [NiL2Cl] · 0.5H2O (3). The structure of compound 1 has been solved by single crystal X-ray crystallography and is found to be distorted octahedral. Compound 2, when crystallized in DMSO solution, got deprotonated to form a new compound [Ni(L2)2] (2a), with a distorted octahedral Ni(II) center. In compound 1, HL1 coordinates to the metal in the thione form, while in compounds 2a and 3, HL2 coordinates in its deprotonated thiolate form.  相似文献

Four manganese(II) complexes Mn2(paa)2(N3)4 (1), [Mn(paa)2(NCS)23/2H2O (2), Mn(papea)2(NCS)2 (3), [Mn(dpka)2(NCS)21/2H2O (4) of three neutral N,N donor bidentate Schiff bases were synthesized and physico-chemically characterized by means of partial elemental analyses, electronic, infrared and EPR spectral studies. Compounds 3 and 4 were obtained as single crystals suitable for X-ray diffraction. Compound 4 recrystallized as Mn(dpka)2(NCS)2. Both the compounds crystallized in the monoclinic space groups P21 for 3 and C2/c for 4. Manganese(II) is found to be in a distorted octahedral geometry in both the monomeric complexes with thiocyanate anion as a terminal ligand coordinating through the nitrogen atom. EPR spectra in DMF solutions at 77 K show hyperfine sextets with low intensity forbidden lines lying between each of the two main hyperfine lines and the zero field splitting parameters (D and E) were calculated.  相似文献

Ni(II) complexes (15) of di-2-pyridyl ketone N(4)-phenylthiosemicarbazone (HL) have been synthesized and spectrochemically characterized. Elemental analyses revealed a NiL2 · 2H2O stoichiometry for compound 1. However, the single crystals isolated revealed a composition NiL2 · 0.5(H2O)0.5(DMF). The compound crystallizes into a monoclinic lattice with the space group P21/n. Complexes 2, 3 and 4 are observed to show a 1:1:1 ratio of metal:thiosemicarbazone:gegenion, with the general formula NiLX · yH2O [X = NCS, y = 2 for 2; X = Cl, y = 3 for 3 and X = N3, y = 4.5 for 4]. Compound 5 is a dimer with a metal:thiosemicarbazone:gegenion ratio of 2:2:1, with the formula [Ni2L2(SO4)] · 4H2O.  相似文献

A new semicarbazone (HL) based on di-2-pyridyl ketone and its three cadmium(II) complexes [CdL(CH3COO)]2 · 2CH3OH (1), Cd(HL)Br2 (2) and [Cd2L2N3]2 · H2O (3) were synthesized and characterized by different physicochemical techniques. The complex, [CdL(CH3COO)]2 · 2CH3OH (1) is having a dimeric structure. In complexes 1 and 3, the ligand moieties are coordinated as monoanionic (L) forms and in complex 2, the ligand is coordinated as neutral (HL) one. The coordination geometry around cadmium(II) in 1 is distorted octahedral, as obtained by X-ray diffraction studies.  相似文献

Six new copper(II) complexes of 2-benzoylpyridine N(4)-cyclohexyl thiosemicarbazone (HL) have been synthesized and characterized by different physicochemical techniques like molar conductivity measurements, magnetic studies and electronic, infrared and EPR spectral studies. Five of the complexes have been found to possess the stoichiometry [CuLX], where X = Cl (1), Br (2), NO3 (3), NCS (4), N3 (5). The complex prepared from copper sulfate has the composition [Cu2L2SO4] · (H2O)2 (6). In all the complexes the deprotonated ligand, L and the anion were found to be coordinated to the Cu(II) ion. The terdentate nature of the ligand is evident from the IR spectra. The metal ligand bonding parameters evaluated from the EPR spectra indicate strong in-plane σ and in-plane π bonding. The magnetic and spectroscopic data indicate a square planar geometry for complexes 1, 3, 4 and 5, while the complexes 2 and 6 are assigned a square pyramidal geometry. Crystal structure of the complex [CuLCl] reveals two molecules per asymmetric unit of a monoclinic lattice, with space group symmetry P21/n. The complexes [ CuLBr 2] (2) and [CuLNCS] (4) crystallized into triclinic lattices with space group . Compound 2 exists as a thiolate bridged copper(II) dimer. The antimicrobial activity of the ligand and the copper complexes were tested against five types of bacteria isolated from clinical samples. The complexes were found to be active against Bacillus sp., Vibrio cholera O1, Staphylococcus aurus and Salmonella paratyphi.  相似文献

New iron(III) and nickel(II) chelates were synthesized by template reaction of 2,4-dihydroxy- and 2-hydroxy-4-methoxy-benzophenone S-methylthiosemicarbazones with 2-hydroxy- and 5-bromo-2-hydroxy-benzaldehydes. The template complexes were isolated as stable solids and characterized by elemental analysis, conductivity and magnetic measurements, IR, 1H NMR, UV–Visible, and mass spectra. The crystal structure of N 1-(2-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)(phenyl)methylene-N 4-(2-hydroxy-phenyl)methylene-S-methyl-thiosemicarbazidato-Fe(III) was determined by X-ray diffraction. A five-coordinate, distorted square-pyramidal geometry was established crystallographically for the iron(III) complex. Cytotoxicity and proliferation properties were determined using human erythromyeloblastoid leukemia and HL-60 mouse promyelocytic leukemia cell lines. For K 562 and HL-60 cells, compounds 1a and 2b were found to be cytotoxic at concentrations of 10 and 20 µg mL?1.  相似文献

A novel three-dimensional supramolecular compound formed by Mn(II) and pyridine-2,5-dicarboxylic acid of formula [Mn(Pydc)2(H2O)2] (Pydc?=?pyridine-2,5-dicarboxylic acid) has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, electronic spectra, thermogravimetric analysis and X-ray diffraction techniques. The X-ray structure shows that the central Mn(II) ion is coordinated by two water molecules and two chelated Pydc ligands. Water molecules coordinate with Mn(II) ions in the cis mode. Intermolecular hydrogen bonds play an important role in stabilization of the lattice and construction of the supramolecular network.  相似文献

Six new Co(II) and Co(III) complexes (1–6) of di-2-pyridyl ketone N(4)-cyclohexyl thiosemicarbazone (HL1) and di-2-pyridyl ketoneN(4)-phenyl thiosemicarbazone (HL2) have been synthesized and spectrochemically characterized. HL1 is newly synthesized and has been structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction studies, while HL2 has been previously reported. HL1 crystallizes into a monoclinic lattice with the space group P21. The complexes are characterized by magnetic, EPR, NMR and other spectroscopic studies. The EPR spectra of the paramagnetic complexes reveal axial features with eight hyperfine lines clearly resolved in the perpendicular region.  相似文献

Seven Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes of ON donor acetone-N(4)-phenylsemicarbazone (HL) have been synthesized and physico-chemically characterized by partial elemental analyses, molar conductance measurements, infrared, electronic and 1H NMR spectral studies. The semicarbazone binds the metal as a neutral bidentate ligand in all the complexes. The crystal structures of acetone-N(4)-phenylsemicarbazone and [Cd(HL)2Cl2] have been determined by X-ray diffraction studies. The coordination geometry around cadmium(II) in the complex [Cd(HL)2Cl2] is distorted octahedral.  相似文献

The crystal structure of the paramagnetic pyridine-2,6-dithiocarbomethyl-amide—copper(II) chloride (CuPDTA-Cl2) is described: C9H11N3S2CuCl2·H2O, monoclinic, P21/n,a=9.163 (2),b=8.925 (5),c=17.590 (9) Å, =102.08 (1)°,Z=4,d x =1.784g cm–3. The structure was refined to a residual ofR=0.059, The copper is coordinated in a square—pyramidal arrangement by the pyridine nitrogen, the two thioamide sulfur atoms and the two chloride ions. The shortest Cu—Cu distance in the crystal is 5.02 Å, leading to only very weak antiferromagnetism. Spectroscopic and magnetic data are given for additional members of the CuPDTA-X [X=Cl2, Br2, I2, (NO3)2, (SCN)2,Py] complex type, which suggest a large degree of structural resemblance with the CuPDTA-Cl2 complex.

Six nickel(II) complexes of the N2O2 chelating thiosemicarbazones were synthesized using N1-4-benzyloxysalicylidene-S-methyl/propyl thiosemicarbazone and methoxy-substitute-salicylaldehydes in the presence of Ni(II) ion by template reaction. The structures of thiosemicarbazones and nickel(II) complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, UV-Vis, IR, and 1H-NMR spectroscopies. The structure of the N1-4-benzyloxysalicylidene-S-propyl thiosemicarbazone ( 2 ) was determined by X-ray single-crystal diffraction method. The total antioxidant capacities of synthesized compounds were evaluated by using cupric reducing antioxidant capacity (CUPRAC) method. The thiosemicarbazones exhibited more potent antioxidant capacity than Ni(II) complexes. Trolox equivalent antioxidant capacity (TEAC) of 1c was found highest in tested nickel(II) complexes. In addition, antioxidant activities of tested compounds were evaluated by using the hydroxyl radical, DPPH radical, and ABTS radical scavenging abilities of these compounds.  相似文献

Three mononuclear cis-dioxovanadium(V) complexes of tridentate thiosemicarbazones derived from 5-methyl-3-formylpyrazole (MPA) and N(4)-methyl/ethyl/dimethyl thiosemicarbazide have been synthesized and characterized. Single crystal X-ray analyses were performed with [VO2L1] (1), [VO2L2] (2) and [VO2L3] (3), where L1, L2 and L3 denote the [1 + 1] thiosemicarbazone mono-anions derived from MPA and N(4)-substituted methyl/ethyl/dimethyl thiosemicarbazide respectively. In all the complexes the vanadium atom is in a distorted square pyramidal geometry with a N2SO2 chromophore. The interesting finding in the work is that in complexes 1 and 2, the thioimine nitrogen unusually participates in coordination whereas in 3 it is the azomethine nitrogen (quite usual) which is involved in the coordination process.  相似文献

An interesting series of nine new copper(II) complexes [Cu2L2(OAc)2]·H2O (1), [CuLNCS]·½H2O (2), [CuLNO3]·½H2O (3), [Cu(HL)Cl2]·H2O (4), [Cu2(HL)2(SO4)2]·4H2O (5), [CuLClO4]·½H2O (6), [CuLBr]·2H2O (7), [CuL2]·H2O (8) and [CuLN3]·CH3OH (9) of 2-benzoylpyridine-N(4)-phenyl semicarbazone (HL) have been synthesized and physico-chemically characterized. The tridentate character of the semicarbazone is inferred from IR spectra. Based on the EPR studies, spin Hamiltonian and bonding parameters have been calculated. The g values, calculated for all the complexes in frozen DMF, indicate the presence of the unpaired electron in the dx2-y2 orbital. The structure of the compound, [Cu2L2(OAc)2] (1a) has been resolved using single crystal X-ray diffraction studies. The crystal structure revealed monoclinic space group P21/n. The coordination geometry about the copper(II) in 1a is distorted square pyramidal with one pyridine nitrogen atom, the imino nitrogen, enolate oxygen and acetate oxygen in the basal plane, an acetate oxygen form adjacent moiety occupies the apical position, serving as a bridge to form a centrosymmetric dimeric structure.  相似文献

Two new usymmetric bidentate Schiff-base ligands (2-pyridyl-2-furylmethyl)imine (L1) and (2-pyridyl-phenylmethyl)imine (L2) were prepared. The crystal structures of two chloro-bridged complexes [Cu2(μ-Cl)2(L1)2Cl2] (1) and [Mn (μ-Cl)2(L2)] (2) derived from the each ligand have been confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The complexes were characterized by IR, elemental analysis and spectroscopic methods. In complex 1, the two copper atoms are five-coordinate involving a square-pyramidal geometry having a N2Cl3 donor set with the two chlorine atoms bridging the two copper atoms. In complex 2, the manganese atoms are both six-coordinate. In contrast to 1, all chlorine atoms in 2 are bridging chlorides and link adjacent manganese atoms together forming 1-D infinite chains.  相似文献
