The kinetics of the formation of the active species cis-[PtII(PPh3)2Cl(SnCl3)] and cis-[PtII(PPh3)2(SnCl3)2] from the hydroformylation catalyst precursor cis-[PtII(PPh3)2Cl2] in the presence of SnCl2, was studied in two different imidazolium-based ionic liquids. A large range of different chlorostannate melts consisting of 1-butyl-3-methyl-imidazolium cations and [SnxCly](−y + 2x) anions with varying molar fraction of SnCl2, were prepared and characterized by 1H and 119Sn NMR. The observed chemical shifts point to major changes in the composition of the anionic species within the melt. The second ionic liquid employed, viz., 1-butyl-3-methyl-imidazolium-bis(trifluormethylsulfonyl)amide was prepared in a colorless quality that enabled its application in kinetic studies. The concentration and temperature dependence of the substitution of Cl by [SnCl3] to yield cis-[PtII(PPh3)2Cl(SnCl3)], could be studied in detail. Theoretical (DFT) calculations were employed to model the reaction progress and to resolve the role of the ionic liquid in the activation of the catalyst. The available results are presented and a plausible mechanism for the formation of the catalytically active species is suggested.  相似文献

The low-temperature reaction of [CrCl3(thf)3] with LiC6H3Cl2-2,6 yields the organochromium(III) compound [Li(thf)4][CrIII(C6H3Cl2-2,6)4] (1) in 48% yield. The homoleptic, anionic species [CrIII(C6H3Cl2-2,6)4] is electrochemically related to the neutral one [CrIV(C6H3Cl2-2,6)4] (2) through a reversible one-electron exchange process (E1/2 = 0.16 V, ΔEp = 0.09 V, ipa/ipc = 1.18). Compound 2 was isolated in 74% yield by chemical oxidation of 1 with [N(C6H4Br-4)3][SbCl6]. Attempts to prepare the salt [NBu4][CrIII(C6Cl5)4] (4) by direct arylation of [CrCl3(thf)3] with LiC6Cl5 in the presence of [NBu4]Br gave the organochromium(II) salt [NBu4]2[CrII(C6Cl5)4] (3) instead, as the result of a reduction process. The salt [NBu4][CrIII(C6Cl5)4] (4) was cleanly prepared by comproportionation of 3 and [CrIV(C6Cl5)4]. The reaction of [MoCl4(dme)] with LiC6Cl5 in Et2O solution proceeded with oxidation of the metal center to give the paramagnetic (S = 1/2), five-coordinate salt [Li(thf)4][MoVO(C6Cl5)4] (5). The crystal and molecular structures of 1 and 2 have been established by X-ray diffraction methods. The magnetic properties of 1 and 4 (S = 3/2) as well as those of 2 (S = 1) have been established by EPR spectroscopy as well as by ac and dc magnetization measurements.  相似文献

The redox reaction between [Pt(NH3)4]2+ and [W(CN)8]3− in the presence of Cl anions in aqueous solution affords single crystals of [PtII(NH3)4]2[WIV(CN)8] and [PtIV(NH3)4Cl2]Cl2. Trapped cyano ligands of [W(CN)8]4− rectangular antiprisms of D2 point symmetry between parallel Pt(II) square planes show that the inner-sphere redox pathway is prohibited. The presence of Cl counterions enables the formation of [Pt(NH3)4Cl2]Cl2 as the product of the rare outer-sphere pathway of the oxidation of Pt(II) by [W(CN)8]3−.  相似文献

The series of cis/trans-trifluoromethylselenato complexes [Pt(SeCF3)2 − xClx(PPh3)2] (x = 0, 1) was identified by NMR spectroscopic methods. While in acetonitrile solution spectra are dominated by the resonances of the cis derivatives, those of pure cis-[Pt(SeCF3)2(PPh3)2] indicate cis-trans-isomerisation in CH2Cl2 solution. In contrast, exchange reactions of cis-[PtCl2(PPh3)2] and [NMe4]TeCF3 only gave evidence for cis isomers. Molecular structures of cis- and trans-[Pt(SeCF3)2(PPh3)2] and cis-[Pt(TeCF3)2(PPh3)2] are discussed in comparison with related compounds.  相似文献

The title compound, {[PtIIPtIVI2(C2H8N2)4](HPO4)(H2PO4)I·3H2O}n, has a chain structure composed of square‐planar [Pt(en)2]2+ and elongated octahedral trans‐[PtI2(en)2]2+ cations (en is ethylenediamine) stacked alternately along the c axis and bridged by the I atoms; a three‐dimensionally valence‐ordered system exists with respect to the Pt sites. The title compound also has a unique cyclic tetramer structure composed of two hydrogenphosphate and two dihydrogenphosphate ions connected by strong hydrogen bonds [O⋯O = 2.522 (10), 2.567 (10) and 2.569 (11) Å]. The Pt and I atoms form a zigzag ⋯I—PtIV—I⋯PtII⋯ chain, with PtIV—I bond distances of 2.6997 (7) and 2.6921 (7) Å, interatomic PtII⋯I distances of 3.3239 (8) and 3.2902 (7) Å, and PtIV—I⋯PtII angles of 154.52 (3) and 163.64 (3)°. The structural parameters indicating the mixed‐valence state of platinum, expressed by δ = (PtIV—I)/(PtII—I), are 0.812 and 0.818 for the two independent I atoms.  相似文献

A series of novel trans-mixed diamine platinum(II) and platinum(IV) complexes of type trans-[PtII(R-NH2)(R'-NH2)Cl2] and trans -[PtIV(R-NH2)(R'-NH2)Cl4] (where R-NH2 = ethylamine or butylamine and R'-NH2 = methylamine, propylamine, isopropylamine, pentylamine, or hexylamine) was synthesized and characterized using elemental analysis and infrared and 195Pt nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopic techniques.  相似文献

X-ray photoelectron spectra of the single valence platinum complexes K2[Pt(CN)4] · 3H2O(1),K2[Pt(CN)4]Cl0.3 · n H2O(2) and K2[Pt(CN)4]Cl2 · 3H2O(3) and the mixed valence compound [PtII(C2H5NH2)4]Cl4 · [PtIV (C2H5NH2)4Cl2] · 4H2O(4) have been measured. It is found that one can distinguish clearly between mixed and single valence compounds by electron spectroscopy. The Pt spectrum of (4) is a superposition of a PtII and PtIV spectrum. The chemical shift between (1) and (3) is normal, however (2) shows an anomalous low binding energy for the Pt 4f electrons. The importance of using reliable reference peaks for obtaining absolute binding energies is emphasized.  相似文献

The isotypical crystal structures of the mixed valent trihalides PtCl3 and PtBr3 were redetermined by single crystal methods (space group R3¯; trigonal setting; PtCl3: a = 21.213Å, c = 8.600Å, c/a = 0.4054; Z = 36; 1719 hkl; R = 0.035; PtBr3: a = 22.318Å, c = 9.034Å; c/a = 0.4048; Z = 36; 1606 hkl; R = 0.027). A cubic closest packing of X anions forms the basis of an optimized arrangement of cuboctahedrally [Pt6X12] cluster molecules with PtII and enantiomers of helical chains of edge‐condensed [PtX2X4/2] octahedra with PtIV in cis‐Δ‐ and cis‐Λ‐configuration, respectively. The bond lengths vary with the function of the X ligands (d¯(PtII—X) = 2.315 and 2.445Å; d¯(PtII—PtII) = 3.336 and 3.492Å; d(PtIV—X) = 2.286 — 2.417Å and 2.437 — 2.563Å). The PtII atoms are shifted outwards the X12 cuboctahedra by 0.045Å and 0.024Å, respectively. The symmetry governed Periodic Nodal Surface, PNS, perfectly separates the regions of different valencies. Quantum chemical calculations exclude the possible additional interactions between PtII and one of the exo‐ligands of PtIV.  相似文献

The title compound, catena‐poly[[[bis(ethylenediamine‐κ2N,N′)platinum(II)]‐ μ‐chlorido‐[bis(ethylenediamine)platinum(IV)]‐μ‐chlorido] tetrakis{4‐[(4‐hydroxyphenyl)diazenyl]benzenesulfonate} dihydrate], {[PtIIPtIVCl2(C2H8N2)4](HOC6H4N=NC6H4SO3)4·2H2O}n, has a linear chain structure composed of square‐planar [Pt(en)2]2+ (en is ethylenediamine) and elongated octahedral trans‐[PtCl2(en)2]2+ cations stacked alternately, bridged by Cl atoms, along the b axis. The Pt atoms are located on an inversion centre, while the Cl atoms are disordered over two sites and form a zigzag ...Cl—PtIV—Cl...PtII... chain, with a PtIV—Cl bond length of 2.3140 (14) Å, an interatomic PtII...Cl distance of 3.5969 (15) Å and a PtIV—Cl...PtII angle of 170.66 (6)°. The structural parameter indicating the mixed‐valence state of the Pt atom, expressed by δ = (PtIV—Cl)/(PtII...Cl), is 0.643.  相似文献

A series of new platinum(II) and platinum(IV) complexes of the type [PtII(HMI)2X] (where HMI=hexamethyleneimine, X=dichloro, sulfato, 1,1-cyclobutanedicarboxylato [CBDCA], oxalato, methylmalonato, or tatronato) and [PtIV(HMI)2Y2Cl2] (where Y=hydroxo, acetato, or chloro) were synthesized and characterized by infrared (IR) spectroscopy, 13C and 195Pt nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and elemental analysis. Among the complexes synthesized, [PtII(hexamethyleneimine)2(1,1-cyclobutanedicarboxylato)]·H2O was examined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The slightly distorted square planar coordination environment of the platinum metal includes the amino group of the hexamethyleneimine (HMI) molecule and the oxygen atoms of the carboxylato ligand. The cyclobutanedicarboxylic acid (CBDCA) molecule adopts six-member chelating rings with platinum. Hydrogen bonding plays an important part in holding the crystal lattice together.  相似文献

The synthesis, structure and spectroscopy of a series of luminescent orthometalated square planar platinum(II) complexes are reported. Reaction of K2PtCl4 with one mole equivalent of 2-phenylpyridine (ppyH) in 2-ethoxyethanol and water (1:1 ratio) resulted in the formation of chloro-bridged dimeric precursor [Pt2(μ-Cl)2(ppy)2], which on further reactions with various anionic one-, two- and three-atom ancillary ligands, having O/N/S donors, yielded mono- and bi-nuclear platinum(II) complexes. Platinum(III) complexes of composition [Pt2Cl2(μ-Epy)2(ppy)2] have been isolated with pyE (E = O or S) ligands. These complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, NMR (1H, 31P, 195Pt) and absorption spectroscopy. The complexes [Pt2(μ-NN)2(ppy)2] (NN = pyrazole and 3,5-dimethylpyrazole); [Pt(SS)(ppy)] (SS = ethylxanthate and diisopropyldithiophosphate); [Pt2Cl2(μ-Epy)2(ppy)2] (Epy = 2-pyridinol {Opy} and 2-mercaptopyridine {Spy}) and [PtCl(ppy)(PhNC(Me)NHPh)] have been structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

Reaction of cis-[PtCl2(AsPh3)2] with excess sodium sulfide in benzene gave the triphenylarsine analogue of the well-known metalloligand [Pt2(μ-S)2(PPh3)4] as an orange solid. The compound was characterised by detailed mass spectrometry studies, and by conversion to various alkylated and metallated derivatives. The sulfide ligands in [Pt2(μ-S)2(AsPh3)4] are less basic than the triphenylphosphine analogue, and the complex gives a relatively weak [M+H]+ ion in the positive-ion electrospray (ESI) mass spectrum, compared with the phosphine analogue.Methylation of an equimolar mixture of [Pt2(μ-S)2(PPh3)4] and [Pt2(μ-S)2(AsPh3)4] with MeI gave the species [Pt2(μ-S)(μ-SMe)(AsPh3)4]+ and [Pt2(μ-SMe)2(PPh3)3I]+, indicating a reduced tendency for the sulfide of [Pt2(μ-S)(μ-SMe)(AsPh3)4]+ to undergo alkylation. The lability of the arsine ligands is confirmed by the reaction of an equimolar mixture of [Pt2(μ-S)2(PPh3)4] and [Pt2(μ-S)2(AsPh3)4] with n-butyl chloride, giving [Pt2(μ-S)(μ-SBu)(EPh3)4]+ (E = P, As), which with Me2SO4 gave a mixture of [Pt2(μ-SMe)(μ-SBu)(PPh3)4]2+ and [Pt2(μ-SMe)(μ-SBu)(AsPh3)3Cl]+.Reactivity towards 1,2-dichloroethane follows a similar pattern. The formation and ESI MS detection of mixed phosphine-arsine {Pt2S2} species of the type[Pt2(μ-S)2(AsPh3)n(PPh3)4−n] is also discussed. Coordination chemistry of [Pt2(μ-S)2(AsPh3)4] towards a range of metal-chloride substrates, forming sulfide-bridged trinuclear aggregates, has also been probed using ESI MS, and found to be similar to the phosphine analogue. The X-ray crystal structure of [Pt2(μ-S)2(AsPh3)4Pt(cod)](PF6)2 (cod = 1,5-cyclo-octadiene) has been determined for comparison with the (previously reported) triphenylphosphine analogue. ESI MS is a powerful tool in exploring the chemistry of this system; in some cases the derivatising agent p-bromobenzyl bromide is used to convert sparingly soluble and/or poorly ionising {Pt2S2} species into soluble, charged derivatives for MS analysis.  相似文献

Combined use of elevated pressure in the liquid phase (15 kbar), a metal template and the sulfur nucleophilicity of [Pt2(μ-S)2(P-P)2] (P-P = diphosphine or 2 · monophosphine) facilitates the one-pot synthesis of 3,8-dibenzo-1,6-dithiacyclodecane. Under r.t.p., nucleophilic addition of [Pt2(μ-S)2(P-P)2] [P-P = 2 · PPh3; Ph2P(CH2)nPPh2, n = 2, 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane (dppe), 3, 1,3-bis(diphenylphosphino)propane (dppp)] with α-α′-dichloro-o-xylene would terminate as a dithiolato bridged cation viz. [Pt2(μ-SCH2C6H4CH2S)(P-P)2]2+. Under high pressure (15 kbar) at r.t., these stoichiometric reactions progress via a “catalytic-like” pathway to yield 3,8-dibenzo-1,6-dithiacyclodecane (up to 35%), and a series of mechanistically relevant intermediates and byproducts. The dithiolated intermediates [Pt2(μ-SCH2C6H4CH2S)(P-P)2]2+ for PPh3 and dppp have been isolated as complexes and their crystal structure determined. The formation of 3,8-dibenzo-1,6-dithiacyclodecane demonstrates a convenient synthetic strategy over the multi-step synthesis of this macrocyclic dithioether.  相似文献

The trans-[Fe(cyclam)(NO)Cl]Cl2 complex was synthesized by the reaction of cis-[Fe(cyclam)Cl2]Cl with NO gas. The X-ray structure of the complex showed that the [Fe–NO] moiety is linear, consistent with the NO+ character of the nitric oxide ligand. This suggestion was reinforced by the IR data, which showed the νNO at 1888 cm−1. The cyclic voltammogram of the trans-[Fe(cyclam)(NO)Cl]2+ complex presented three electrochemical processes at −0.70, 0.08 and 0.40 V versus Ag/AgCl. The first and last redox processes are centered at the NO ligand, whereas the second is characteristic of the generated aqua species, trans-[Fe(cyclam)Cl(H2O)]2+. Upon irradiation at 330 nm, pH 3.4, the title complex releases the NO moiety with the concomitant generation of the trans-[Fe(cyclam)(H2O)Cl]+ complex as suggested by electronic and IR spectroscopy as well as by cyclic voltammetry technique.  相似文献

Three new mononuclear complexes of nitrogen–sulfur donor sets, formulated as [FeII(L)Cl2] (1), [CoII(L)Cl2] (2) and [NiII(L)Cl2] (3) where L = 1,3-bis(2-pyridylmethylthio)propane, were synthesized and isolated in their pure form. All the complexes were characterized by physicochemical and spectroscopic methods. The solid state structures of complexes 1 and 3 have been established by single crystal X-ray crystallography. The structural analysis evidences isomorphous crystals with the metal ion in a distorted octahedral geometry that comprises NSSN ligand donors with trans located pyridine rings and chlorides in cis positions. In dimethylformamide solution, the complexes were found to exhibit FeII/FeIII, CoII/CoIII and NiII/NiIII quasi-reversible redox couples in cyclic voltammograms with E1/2 values (versus Ag/AgCl at 298 K) of +0.295, +0.795 and +0.745 V for 1, 2 and 3, respectively.  相似文献

The reduction of Pt(IV) complexes followed by the oxidative addition of dimethyl sulfate to Pt(II) affords Cs2PtMe2Cl4, a complex of dimethylplatinum(IV). On treatment with such nucleophiles as Cl, Br, I, and PtCl4 2– in aqueous solutions at 368 K this complex undergoes reductive elimination to give MeX and PtIIMe as a transient species. The latter is further converted to methane upon protolysis, whereas in the presence of an oxidant (Na2PtCl6) it gives rise to the PtIVMe species. The kinetics of decomposition of Cs2PtMe2Cl4 in aqueous HCl-KCl systems (2M or 3M in Cl; [PtIVMe2][Cl]) were studied. The reaction takes place as anS N 2 attack of X on the carbon atom of a methyl group located with thetrans position with respect to the aqua-ligand of the [PtMe2Cl3(H2O)] complex.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. A facile procedure for synthesizing the mono(hydroxo)tris(carboxylato)platinum(IV) species has been achieved. The reaction of [PtII(OH)2(dmpda)] (dmpda=2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediamine) with a 30% aqueous solution of H2O2 in the presence of a carboxylic acid produces a stable [PtIV(OOCR)3(OH)(dmpda)] (R=Me, Et) complex in high yield. The crystal structures of [PtIV(OOCMe)3(OH)(dmpda)] . H2O (triclinic P1 bar, a=8.761(2) Å, b=9.245(3) Å, c=10.659(2) Å, =106.25(2)°, =93.90(2)°, =98.92(2)°, V=813.1(3) Å3, Z=2, R= 0.0474) and [PtIV(OOCEt)3(OH)(dmpda)] (monoclinic P21/c, a=12.777(4) Å, b=10.514(2) Å, c=14.971(3) Å, =107.40(2)°, V=1919.2(8) Å3, Z=4, R=0.0611) show that the hydroxyl group has been selectively positioned at an axial site. The intramolecular hydrogen bond between the OH and C=O moiety exists (O(H)...=C, 2.83 Å for [PtIV(OOCMe)3(OH)(dmpda)] · H2O; 2.72 Å for [PtIV(OOCEt)3(OH)(dmpda)]. Formation of the axial-mono(hydroxo)tris(carboxylato)platinum(IV) species may be ascribed to a combination of `reactive-equatorial effects' with `cis-addition' in the carboxylic acid.  相似文献
