拟线性双曲型方程组Cauchy问题行波解的稳定性

当拟线性双曲系统线性退化时,其Cauchy问题最左族和最右族行波解是稳定的.而其中间族行波解未必稳定.我们在弱线性退化条件下,证明了拟线性双曲系统Cauchy问题适当小的W~(1,1)∩L~∞范数适当小的行波解是稳定的,并将此稳定性应用于可对角化的拟线性双曲系统和Chaplygin气体动力学方程组.

This paper deals with the asymptotic behavior of global classical solutions to quasilinear hyperbolic systems of diagonal form with weakly linearly degenerate characteristic fields. On the basis of global existence and uniqueness of C^1 solution, we prove that the solution to the Cauchy problem approaches a combination of C^1 traveling wave solutions when t tends to the infinity.     

Absorbing Boundary Conditions for Hyperbolic Systems

<正>This paper deals with absorbing boundary conditions for hyperbolic systems in one and two space dimensions.We prove the strict well-posedness of the resulting initial boundary value problem in 1D.Afterwards we establish the GKS-stability of the corresponding Lax-Wendroff-type finite difference scheme.Hereby,we have to extend the classical proofs,since the(discretized) absorbing boundary conditions do not fit the standard form of boundary conditions for hyperbolic systems.     

Cauchy Problem for General Rst Order Inhomogeneous Quasilinear Hyperbolic Systems

In this paper, we consider Cauchy problem for general first order inho- mogeneous quasilinear strictly hyperbolic systems. Under the matching condition, we first give an estimate on inhomogeneous terms. By this estimate, we obtain the asymptotic behaviour for the life-span of C¹ solutions with “slowly” decaying and small initial data and prove that the formation of singularity is due to the envelope of characteristics of the same family.     

Persistence of Hyperbolic Tori in Generalized Hamiltonian Systems

In this paper we prove the persistence of hyperbolic invariant tori in generalized Hamiltonian systems, which may admit a distinct number of action and angle variables. The systems under consideration can be odd dimensional in tangent direction. Our results generalize the well-known results of Graff and Zehnder in standard Hamiltonians. In our case the unperturbed Hamiltonian systems may be degenerate. We also consider the persistence problem of hyperbolic tori on sub manifolds.     

Analytic Propagation for Nonlinear Weakly Hyperbolic Systems

The propagation of analyticity for sufficiently smooth solutions to either strictly hyperbolic, or smoothly symmetrizable nonlinear systems, dates back to Lax [14 Lax , P.D. ( 1953 ). Here we consider the general case of a system with real, possibly multiple, characteristics, and we ask which regularity should be a priori required of a given solution in order that it enjoys the propagation of analyticity. By using the technique of the quasi-symmetrizer of a hyperbolic matrix, we prove, in the one-dimensional case, the propagation of analyticity for those solutions which are Gevrey functions of order s for some s < m/(m ? 1), m being the maximum multiplicity of the characteristics.     

Exact Boundary Observability for a Kind of Second-Order Quasilinear Hyperbolic Systems

Based on the theory of semi-global classical solutions to quasilinear hyperbolic systems, the local exact boundary observability for a kind of second-order quasilinear hyperbolic systems is obtained by a constructive method.     

Local Exact Boundary Synchronization for a Kind of First Order Quasilinear Hyperbolic Systems

In this paper, the synchronization for a kind of first order quasilinear hyperbolic system is taken into account. In this system, all the equations share the same positive wave speed. To realize the synchronization, a uniform constructive method is adopted, rather than an iteration process usually used in dealing with nonlinear systems. Furthermore, similar results on the exact boundary synchronization by groups can be obtained for a kind of first order quasilinear hyperbolic system of equations with different positive wave speeds by groups.     

Scalar Curvature Rigidity for Asymptotically Locally Hyperbolic Manifolds

Rigidity results for asymptotically locally hyperbolic manifolds with lower bounds on scalar curvature are proved using spinor methods related to the Witten proof of the positive mass theorem. The argument is based on a study of the Dirac operator defined with respect to the Killing connection. The existence of asymptotic Killing spinors is related to the spin structure on the end. The expression for the mass is calculated and proven to vanish for conformally compact Einstein manifolds with conformal boundary a spherical space form, giving rigidity. In the four dimensional case, the signature of the manifold is related to the spin structure on the end and explicit formulas for the relevant invariants are given.     

Formation of Singularities for Quasilinear Hyperbolic Systems with Characteristics with Constant Multiplicity

In this paper we consider the Cauchy problem for quasilinear hyperbolic systems with characteristics with constant multiplicity. Without restriction on characteristics with constant multiplicity(> 1), under the assumptions that there is a genuinely nonlinear simple characteristic and the initial data possess certain decaying properties, the blow-up result is obtained for the C¹ solution to the Cauchy problem.

Accuracy Enhancement of Discontinuous Galerkin Method for Hyperbolic Systems

We study the enhancement of accuracy, by means of the convolution post-processing technique, for discontinuous Galerkin(DG) approximations to hyperbolic problems. Previous investigations have focused on the superconvergence obtained by this technique for elliptic, time-dependent hyperbolic and convection-diffusion problems. In this paper, we demonstrate that it is possible to extend this post-processing technique to the hyperbolic problems written as the Friedrichs' systems by using an upwind-like DG method. We prove that the $L_2$-error of the DG solution is of order $k+1/2$, and further the post-processed DG solution is of order $2k+1$ if $Q_k$-polynomials are used. The key element of our analysis is to derive the $(2k+1)$-order negative norm error estimate. Numerical experiments are provided to illustrate the theoretical analysis.     

Exact Controllability for Nonautonomous First Order Quasilinear Hyperbolic Systems

By means of the theory on the semi-global C1 solution to the mixed initial-boundary value problem (IBVP) for first order quasilinear hyperbolic systems, we establish the exact controllability for general nonautonomous first order quasilinear hyperbolic systems with general nonlinear boundary conditions.     

Initial Value Problem for General Quasilinear Hyperbolic Systems with Characteristics with Constant Multiplicity

The authors consider the global existence and the blow-up phenomenon of classical solutions with small amplitude to the Cauchy problem for general quasilinear hyperbolic systems with characteristics with constant multiplicity and given some applications.
