The time correlation function is analyzed of the speckel intensity fluctuation produced in the Fresnel diffraction field from a rotating diffuse object under illumination of a Gaussian laser beam. The dependence of the curvature radius of the rotating diffuse object on the time correlation length of the speckle intensity fluctuation is especially explored by taking into account the size of the detecting aperture. The theoretical results are confirmed experimentally for detecting apertures with various sizes. It is shown that a detecting aperture with an appropriate size is required. It becomes useful for determining the radius of curvature of the rotating diffuse object from measurements of the time correlation length of the speckle intensity fluctuation.  相似文献

The femtosecond temporal speckle field of a random medium is studied theoretically and experimentally. Femtosecond temporal speckle arises from the interference of multiple randomly scattered electric fields. The femtosecond temporal speckle field is measured with a cross-correlation frequency-resolved optical gating method. The spatial average of the speckle field yields a smooth transmitted profile. The speckle field is a circular complex Gaussian variable because the scattered light beams from different trajectories have no correlation with each other. The field and the intensity profiles of individual speckle spots fluctuate randomly in time. The ensemble average of the temporal intensity profiles converges, thereby yielding the photon travel time probability distribution function.  相似文献

It is shown experimentally that a scatterer placed in the interference field of the signal and the reference beams can be used for detecting phase-modulated optical signals. The signal observed in this case is formed by the space-time modulation of the speckle structure of the beams. The influence of the geometry of the interferometer and the amplitude of phase modulation on the parameters of the output signal is considered.  相似文献

提出一种激光片光三维传感中降低散斑影响的新方法,片光面内扫描合成孔径法。通过向被测物体表面投射面内扫描的片状激光束,产生空间变化的动态散斑光场,这样的光场在成像透镜光瞳平面上的移动,其时间平均效果等效于利用了一个大的“合成孔径”,降低了散斑的影响,明显地提高了测量精度。文中给出了合成孔径的理论分析和三维面形测量的实验结果。  相似文献

We investigate a digital method for detecting the velocity of a diffusing object. The technique is based on Digital Speckle Pattern Interferometry (DSPI). A set of reference fringes is generated externally through the reference beam in a digital interferometer. As the object moves, subsequent frames are acquired and subtracted according to the normal DSPI procedure and stored. By means of the theory of first order speckle statistics applied to speckle intensity correlation, we relate the visibility variations in the reference fringes with the object velocity. Thus, by measuring the fringe visibility variation in the resulting DSPI stored frames the mean object velocity can be obtained. The theoretical results are experimentally verified.  相似文献

The process of rotation of a speckle pattern at the output of a few-mode optical fiber in a longitudinal magnetic field is mathematically modeled. It is shown that the deviation from a linear relation between the rotation angle of a speckle pattern at the output of a few-mode fiber and the fiber length in the presence of a longitudinal magnetic field results from a specific dependence of polarization corrections to the propagation constants of TE and TM modes. The calculation results are compared with the results of an experiment on determining the rotation angle of a speckle pattern as a function of magnetic field in a fiber of constant length.  相似文献

为了精确描述超声散斑场的特性,提出了采用计算机模拟产生超声散斑场的方法.利用模拟产生的高斯相关随机表面,获得了这类表面远场超声散斑场,同时得到了声强分布和相位分布.与实验产生的散斑场进行对比,建立了超声散斑场接收的实验系统,取与计算模拟相同的参数,获得了实验散斑场.通过对比发现:计算机模拟产生的超声散斑场相位存在奇异点,奇异点周围相位分布类似漩涡,计算机模拟产生的散斑场与实验得到的散斑场强度分布相似,强度值比实验产生的散斑场强度大,携带有用信息的高亮散斑较多,暗点较少,更利于研究和分析.  相似文献

In this work we investigate the structure of nondiffracting speckle fields, both experimentally and theoretically. We are able to produce very good agreement between the experimentally recorded and theoretically calculated fields by using complex amplitude modulation on a phase-only spatial light modulator to implement controlled ring-slit experiments for the generation of nondiffracting speckle fields. The structure of the nondiffracting speckle due to binary and continuous phase modulations for both a uniform and a normal distribution is investigated. We find that we are able to engineer whether the nondiffracting field will appear as speckle or a structured zero-order Bessel beam by adjusting the standard deviation in the distribution. Having the ability to control where in the spectrum, from fully-developed nondiffracting speckle to a symmetric zero-order Bessel beam, the nondiffracting field will exist can prove to be a useful resource in the non-destructive testing of materials.  相似文献

The statistical properties of the phase difference between the two interfering partially correlated and partially developed speckle fields were studied experimentally as a function of the intensity correlation coefficient. The gaussian statistics are assumed for the formation of speckle fields in the diffraction region and the correlation coefficient between the two speckle intensities is used to evaluate the phase difference. The standard deviation of the phase difference can be uniquely determined in the fully developed speckle field from the correlation coefficient of the two speckle intensities. However, it was found in the partially developed speckle field that the standard deviation of the phase difference between the two speckle fields cannot be uniquely determined from the correlation coefficient of the two speckle intensities.  相似文献

The resolution of the reconstructed wave by a phase-retrieval method using a volume-speckle field depends on the aperture defined by the size of the CCD array. The use of a larger aperture is introduced by measuring the speckle field at two different positions in the transverse plane and stitching the measurements together. Improvements in the quality of reconstructions are demonstrated experimentally and by computer simulations. Undesirable effects of camera tilt on the quality of reconstructions from synthetic aperture intensity measurements are experimentally observed and corrected.  相似文献

An experimental method for measurement of subpixel microdisplacements of speckle structure based on the parameters of the linear phase shift in the field of the complex spatial spectrum of the displaced structure is proposed and experimentally implemented. The phase shift is determined when a phase shift of spectrum is numerically added and the correlation analysis of the resulting linear phase shift in the spatial spectrum of specklegrams is performed. The method provides additional possibilities in the measurements using digital speckle photography when the period of interference fringes formed in the total spatial spectrum of specklegrams is significantly greater than the spectral width.

We implement experimentally a simple method for accurate measurements of phase distributions of scalar light fields. The method is based on the polarimetric technique for recording the polarization maps of vector fields, where coaxial superposition of orthogonally polarized reference and signal beams allows the signal phase to be reconstructed from the polarization map of the total field. We demonstrate this method by resolving topologically neutral pairs of closely positioned vortices in a speckle field and recovering the positions of vortices within a Laguerre-Gaussian beam with the topological charge three.  相似文献

We demonstrated a new method of atom detection by means of magnetic optical effect. The number density of the atom cloud was measured by detecting the rotation angle of the polarization plane of linearly polarized probe light when propagating inside the atomic cloud. Detuning, magnetic field, and light intensity dependencies of the rotation angle were studied theoretically and experimentally to find the best parameter for atom detection. In this way, we managed to achieve a rotation angle of 0.22 rad with a signal to noise ratio (SNR) of 75 and a contrast of 87.5%.  相似文献

A theoretical and experimental investigation is made on the relation between the statistical properties of a rough surface and the averaged speckle intensity in the diffraction field. The theoretical analysis is performed in some detail over a wide range of the random phase variation for various illuminated objects. 分析了激光散斑效应对激光雷达探测性能的影响. 给出了远场情况下接收物镜所采集激光散斑数的表达式. 在物镜所采集的散斑和光电子数均较大情况下,提出了光电子所遵守的分布. 分别导出了机载和星载激光雷达的探测概率. 分析表明激光雷达探测性能与所采集的散斑数密切相关,接收的散斑数仅与激光束腰和物镜的口径有关,随着接收散斑数的增加,散斑噪声的影响将减弱. 关键词: 激光雷达 激光散斑 探测概率  相似文献

The autocorrelation function of polychromatic speckle patterns produced near the image plane of a double diffraction imaging system is experimentally studied. The condition under which the polychromatic speckle field obeys Gaussian statistics is further investigated as a function of the numberN of scattering cells, using the average contrast of the speckle intensity fluctuations. The profile of the autocorrelation function is next investigated as a function ofN and the defocused distance from the image plane. It is found that the average contrast and autocorrelation function of the polychromatic speckle intensity fluctuations converge less rapidly with an increase inN than those of the monochromatic ones.  相似文献

The random noise of the laser speckle field which develops at the focusing plane of an imaging system, is, by now, efficiently used in several interferometric techniques as an information carrier of the macroscopic wavefront distortion induced by the surface displacement field of the object under investigation. The actual noise in this kind of techniques is represented by the speckle decorrelation at the image plane — i.e. the destruction of the carrier — which may be caused by the modification of the texture surface (e.g. by yielding under a severe stress state), but it is inherently produced by the same displacement field under measurement. In the paper the phenomenon of laser speckle decorrelation is numerically simulated and experimentally investigated with the aim of estimating its sensitivity to local deformation and assessing a possible field of application. Satisfactory results in the field of NDT of multilayer fiber-reinforced composites were obtained by reducing the diaphragm of the lens to increase the sensitivity of the imaging system to speckle decorrelation induced by local deformation; unfortunately this simple approach requires a considerable amount of laser power for illuminating the object. Different aperture shapes were therefore numerically simulated which provided improved efficiency and sensitivity and whereby a semi-quantitative analysis of the displacement field could be experimented.  相似文献

A process of granularity growth in partially developed speckle patterns produced in the near field of wavy object surfaces illuminated using a laser has been experimentally studied by investigating the probability density function and average contrast of their intensity variations. These parameters have been measured as a function of the distance from the object surface to the detector for four typical sample objects having different surface qualities. It has been found that the variation in average speckle contrast with receiving distance is strongly dependent on the surface quality of the objects. The saturated value of the speckle contrast, found from the graph of its dependence on receiving distance, is also related to the maximum height of irregularities in the surface.  相似文献
