Let Ω be a region in the complex plane. In this paper we introduce a class of sesquianalytic reproducing kernels on Ω that we call B-kernels. When Ω is the open unit disk and certain natural additional hypotheses are added we call such kernels k Bergman-type kernels. In this case the associated reproducing kernel Hilbert space (k) shares certain properties with the classical Bergman space L2α of the unit disk. For example, the weighted Bergman kernels kβw(z)=(1−wz)β, 1β2 are Bergman-type kernels. Furthermore, for any Bergman-type kernel k one has H2 (k)L2a, where the inclusion maps are contractive, and Mζ, the operator of multiplication with the identity function ζ, defines a contraction operator on (k). Our main results about Bergman-type kernels k are the following two: First, once properly normalized, the reproducing kernel for any nontrivial zero based invariant subspace of (k) is a Bergman-type kernel as well. For the weighted Bergman kernels kβ this result even holds for all ζ-invariant subspace of index 1, i.e., whenever the dimension of /ζ is one. Second, if is any multiplier invariant subspace of (k), and if we set *= z , then Mζ is unitarily equivalent to Mζ acting on a space of *-valued analytic functions with an operator-valued reproducing kernel of the type
where V is a contractive analytic function V :  → ( ,  *), for some auxiliary Hilbert space . Parts of these theorems hold in more generality. Corollaries include contractive divisor, wandering subspace, and dilation theorems for all Bergman-type reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces. When restricted to index one invariant subspaces of (kβ), 1β2, our approach yields new proofs of the contractive divisor property, the strong contractive divisor property, and the wandering subspace theorems and inner–outer factorization. Our proofs are based on the properties of reproducing kernels, and they do not involve the use of biharmonic Green functions as had some of the earlier proofs.  相似文献

A finite group G is called an ah-group if any two distinct conjugacy classes of G have distinct cardinality. We show that if G is an ah-group, then the non-abelian socle of G is isomorphic to one of the following:
1. , for 1a5, a≠2.
2. A8.
3. PSL(3,4)e, for 1e10.
4. A5×PSL(3,4)e, for 1e10.
Based on this result, we virtually show that if G is an ah-group with π(G) 2,3,5,7 , then F(G)≠1, or equivalently, that G has an abelian normal subgroup. In addition, we show that if G is an ah-group of minimal size which is not isomorphic to S3, then the non-abelian socle of G is either trivial or isomorphic to one of the following:
1. , for 3a5.
2. PSL(3,4)e, for 1e10.
Our research lead us to interesting results related to transitivity and homogeneousity in permutation groups, and to subgroups of wreath products of form Z2Sn. These results are of independent interest and are located in appendices for greater autonomy.  相似文献

Orthogonal polynomials on the unit circle are completely determined by their reflection coefficients through the Szeg recurrences. We assume that the reflection coefficients tend to some complex number a with 0<a<1. The orthogonality measure μ then lives essentially on the arc {eit :αt2πα} where sin with α(0,π). Under the certain rate of convergence it was proved in (Golinskii et al. (J. Approx. Theory96 (1999), 1–32)) that μ has no mass points inside this arc. We show that this result is sharp in a sense. We also examine the case of the whole unit circle and some examples of singular continuous measures given by their reflection coefficients.  相似文献

Suppose that G is a graph with n vertices and m edges, and let μ be the spectral radius of its adjacency matrix.Recently we showed that if G has no 4-cycle, then μ2-μn-1, with equality if and only if G is the friendship graph. Here we prove that if m9 and G has no 4-cycle, then μ2m, with equality if G is a star. For 4m8 this assertion fails.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate the existence of holey self-orthogonal Latin squares with a symmetric orthogonal mate of type 2nu1 (HSOLSSOM(2nu1)). For u2, necessary conditions for existence of such an HSOLSSOM are that u must be even and n3u/2+1. Xu Yunqing and Hu Yuwang have shown that these HSOLSSOMs exist whenever either (1) n9 and n3u/2+1 or (2) n263 and n2(u-2). In this paper we show that in (1) the condition n9 can be extended to n30 and that in (2), the condition n263 can be improved to n4, except possibly for 19 pairs (n,u), the largest of which is (53,28).  相似文献

We introduce the notion of an Hadamard foliation as a foliation of Hadamard manifold which all leaves are Hadamard. We prove that a foliation of an Hadamard manifold M of curvature −a2 with a norm of the second fundamental form is Hadamard. For we construct a canonical embedding of the union of leaf boundaries into the boundary of . This embedding is continuous and it is homeomorphism on any fixed leaf boundary. Some methods of hyperbolic geometry are developed. It is shown that a ray in with the bounded by κ<1 curvature has a limit on the boundary.  相似文献

Let Mθ be the mean operator on the unit sphere in n, n3, which is an analogue of the Steklov operator for functions of single variable. Denote by D the Laplace–Beltrami operator on the sphere which is an analogue of second derivative for functions of single variable. Ditzian and Runovskii have a conjecture on the norm of the operator θ2D(Mθ)m, m2 from X=Lp (1p∞) to itself which can be expressed as
. We give a proof of this conjecture.  相似文献

Let μ be a real measure on the line such that its Poisson integral M(z) converges and satisfies|M(x+iy)|Aecyα, y→+∞,for some constants A,c>0 and 0<α1. We show that for 1/2<α1 the measure μ must have many sign changes on both positive and negative rays. For 0<α1/2 this is true for at least one of the rays, and not always true for both rays. Asymptotical bounds for the number of sign changes are given which are sharp in some sense.  相似文献

New pointwise inversion formulae are obtained for the d-dimensional totally geodesic Radon transform on the n-dimensional real hyperbolic space, 1dn−1, in terms of polynomials of the Laplace–Beltrami operator and intertwining fractional integrals. Similar results are established for hyperbolic cosine and sine transforms.  相似文献

Sharp tridiagonal pairs   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Let denote a field and let V denote a vector space over with finite positive dimension. We consider a pair of -linear transformations A:VV and A*:VV that satisfies the following conditions: (i) each of A,A* is diagonalizable; (ii) there exists an ordering of the eigenspaces of A such that A*ViVi-1+Vi+Vi+1 for 0id, where V-1=0 and Vd+1=0; (iii) there exists an ordering of the eigenspaces of A* such that for 0iδ, where and ; (iv) there is no subspace W of V such that AWW, A*WW, W≠0, WV. We call such a pair a tridiagonal pair on V. It is known that d=δ and for 0id the dimensions of coincide. We say the pair A,A* is sharp whenever dimV0=1. A conjecture of Tatsuro Ito and the second author states that if is algebraically closed then A,A* is sharp. In order to better understand and eventually prove the conjecture, in this paper we begin a systematic study of the sharp tridiagonal pairs. Our results are summarized as follows. Assuming A,A* is sharp and using the data we define a finite sequence of scalars called the parameter array. We display some equations that show the geometric significance of the parameter array. We show how the parameter array is affected if Φ is replaced by or or . We prove that if the isomorphism class of Φ is determined by the parameter array then there exists a nondegenerate symmetric bilinear form , on V such that Au,v=u,Av and A*u,v=u,A*v for all u,vV.  相似文献

In this paper we present three algorithms for the Motif Identification Problem in Biological Weighted Sequences. The first algorithm extracts repeated motifs from a biological weighted sequence. The motifs correspond to repetitive words which are approximately equal, under a Hamming distance, with probability of occurrence 1/k, where k is a small constant. The second algorithm extracts common motifs from a set of N2 weighted sequences. In this case, the motifs consists of words that must occur with probability 1/k, in 1qN distinct sequences of the set. The third algorithm extracts maximal pairs from a biological weighted sequence. A pair in a sequence is the occurrence of the same word twice. In addition, the algorithms presented in this paper improve previous work on these problems.  相似文献

A graph G is (m,n)-linked if for any two disjoint subsets R,BV(G) with |R|m and |B|n, G has two disjoint connected subgraphs containing R and B, respectively. We shall prove that a planar graph with at least six vertices is (3,3)-linked if and only if G is 4-connected and maximal.  相似文献

Let S[i,j] denote the q-Stirling numbers of the second kind. We show that the determinant of the matrix (S[s+i+j,s+j])0i,jn is given by the product
. We give two proofs of this result, one bijective and one based upon factoring the matrix. We also prove an identity due to Cigler that expresses the Hankel determinant of q-exponential polynomials as a product. Lastly, a two variable version of a theorem of Sylvester and an application are presented.  相似文献

Given an (n+1)-dimensional space of piecewise smooth functions in which each basis has a non-vanishing Wronskian, and its dual space *, a canonical bilinear form is defined on × *, which provides a simple characterization of a contact of order rn. An intrinsic reproducing function is introduced, leading to Marsden-type identities. In the case of Chebyshev spaces connected with totally positive matrices, the bilinear form yields a general notion of blossom which can be extended to Chebyshev splines.  相似文献
