In this study we prove a stability estimate for an inverse heat source problem in the n-dimensional case. We present a revised generalized Tikhonov regularization and obtain an error estimate. Numerical experiments for the one-dimensional and two-dimensional cases show that the revised generalized Tikhonov regularization works well.  相似文献

In a recent paper an algorithm for large‐scale Tikhonov regularization in standard form called GKB‐FP was proposed and numerically illustrated. In this paper, further insight into the convergence properties of this method is provided, and extensions to general‐form Tikhonov regularization are introduced. In addition, as alternative to Tikhonov regularization, a preconditioned LSQR method coupled with an automatic stopping rule is proposed. Preconditioning seeks to incorporate smoothing properties of the regularization matrix into the computed solution. Numerical results are reported to illustrate the methods on large‐scale problems. In this paper, an inverse problem for space‐fractional backward diffusion equation, which is highly ill‐posed, is considered. This problem is obtained from the classical diffusion equation by replacing the second‐order space derivative with a Riesz–Feller derivative of order α ∈ (0,2]. We show that such a problem is severely ill‐posed, and further present a simplified Tikhonov regularization method to deal with this problem. Convergence estimate is presented under a priori choice of regularization parameter. Numerical experiments are given to illustrate the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method. In this paper, we study an inverse problem of identifying a time-dependent term of an unknown source for a time fractional diffusion equation using nonlocal measurement data. Firstly, we establish the conditional stability for this inverse problem. Then two regularization methods are proposed to for reconstructing the time-dependent source term from noisy measurements. The first method is an integral equation method which formulates the inverse source problem into an integral equation of the second kind; and a prior convergence rate of regularized solutions is derived with a suitable choice strategy of regularization parameters. The second method is a standard Tikhonov regularization method and formulates the inverse source problem as a minimizing problem of the Tikhonov functional. Based on the superposition principle and the technique of finite-element interpolation, a numerical scheme is proposed to implement the second regularization method. One- and two-dimensional examples are carried out to verify efficiency and stability of the second regularization method.  相似文献

In this paper, we identify a space-dependent source for a fractional diffusion equation. This problem is ill-posed, i.e., the solution (if it exists) does not depend continuously on the data. The generalized Tikhonov regularization method is proposed to solve this problem. An a priori error estimate between the exact solution and its regularized approximation is obtained. Moreover, an a posteriori parameter choice rule is proposed and a stable error estimate is also obtained, Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the validity and effectiveness of this method.  相似文献

In this paper, a numerical method consists of combining Haar wavelet method and Tikhonov regularization method to determine unknown boundary condition and unknown nonlinear source term for the generalized time-delayed Burgers-Fisher equation using noisy data is presented. A stable numerical solution is determined for the problem. We also show that the rate of convergence of the method is as exponential $\Bigl(O\left(\frac{1}{2^{J+1}}\right)\Bigr)$, where $J$ is maximal level of resolution of wavelet. Some numerical results are reported to show the efficiency and robustness of the proposed approach for solving the inverse problems.  相似文献

In this article we discuss a regularization of semi-discrete ill-posed problem appearing as a result of application of a collocation method to Fredholm integral equation of the first kind. In this context we analyse Tikhonov regularization in Sobolev scales and prove error bounds under general source conditions. Moreover, we study an a posteriori regularization parameter choice by means of the balancing principle.  相似文献

The inverse problem of determining an unknown source term depending on space variable in a parabolic equation is considered. A numerical algorithm is presented for recovering the unknown function and obtaining a solution of the problem. As this inverse problem is ill‐posed, Tikhonov regularization is used for finding a stable solution. For solving the direct problem, a Galerkin method with the Sinc basis functions in both the space and time domains is presented. This approximate solution displays an exponential convergence rate and is valid on the infinite time interval. Finally, some examples are presented to illustrate the ability and efficiency of this numerical method. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Numer Methods Partial Differential Eq 2013  相似文献

This paper investigates the inverse problem of finding a time-dependent heat source in a parabolic equation where the data is given at a fixed location. A conditional stability result is given, and a revised generalized Tikhonov regularization method with error estimate is also provided. Numerical examples show that the regularization method is effective and stable.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate a Cauchy problem associated with Helmholtz-type equation in an infinite “strip”. This problem is well known to be severely ill-posed. The optimal error bound for the problem with only nonhomogeneous Neumann data is deduced, which is independent of the selected regularization methods. A framework of a modified Tikhonov regularization in conjunction with the Morozov’s discrepancy principle is proposed, it may be useful to the other linear ill-posed problems and helpful for the other regularization methods. Some sharp error estimates between the exact solutions and their regularization approximation are given. Numerical tests are also provided to show that the modified Tikhonov method works well.  相似文献

In this paper we consider a collocation method for solving Fredholm integral equations of the first kind, which is known to be an ill-posed problem. An “unregularized” use of this method can give reliable results in the case when the rate at which smallest singular values of the collocation matrices decrease is known a priori. In this case the number of collocation points plays the role of a regularization parameter. If the a priori information mentioned above is not available, then a combination of collocation with Tikhonov regularization can be the method of choice. We analyze such regularized collocation in a rather general setting, when a solution smoothness is given as a source condition with an operator monotone index function. This setting covers all types of smoothness studied so far in the theory of Tikhonov regularization. One more issue discussed in this paper is an a posteriori choice of the regularization parameter, which allows us to reach an optimal order of accuracy for deterministic noise model without any knowledge of solution smoothness.  相似文献

We recently proposed in [Cheng, XL et al. A novel coupled complex boundary method for inverse source problems Inverse Problem 2014 30 055002] a coupled complex boundary method (CCBM) for inverse source problems. In this paper, we apply the CCBM to inverse conductivity problems (ICPs) with one measurement. In the ICP, the diffusion coefficient q is to be determined from both Dirichlet and Neumann boundary data. With the CCBM, q is sought such that the imaginary part of the solution of a forward Robin boundary value problem vanishes in the problem domain. This brings in advantages on robustness and computation in reconstruction. Based on the complex forward problem, the Tikhonov regularization is used for a stable reconstruction. Some theoretical analysis is given on the optimization models. Several numerical examples are provided to show the feasibility and usefulness of the CCBM for the ICP. It is illustrated that as long as all the subdomains share some portion of the boundary, our CCBM-based Tikhonov regularization method can reconstruct the diffusion parameters stably and effectively.  相似文献

We study the reconstruction of the missing thermal and mechanical data on an inaccessible part of the boundary in the case of two‐dimensional linear isotropic thermoelastic materials from overprescribed noisy measurements taken on the remaining accessible boundary part. This inverse problem is solved by using the method of fundamental solutions together with the method of particular solutions. The stabilization of this inverse problem is achieved using several singular value decomposition (SVD)‐based regularization methods, such as the Tikhonov regularization method (Tikhonov and Arsenin, Methods for solving ill‐posed problems, Nauka, Moscow, 1986), the damped SVD and the truncated SVD (Hansen, Rank‐deficient and discrete ill‐posed problems: numerical aspects of linear inversion, SIAM, Philadelphia, 1998), whilst the optimal regularization parameter is selected according to the discrepancy principle (Morozov, Sov Math Doklady 7 (1966), 414–417), generalized cross‐validation criterion (Golub et al. Technometrics 22 (1979), 1–35) and Hansen's L‐curve method (Hansen and O'Leary, SIAM J Sci Comput 14 (1993), 1487–503). © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this paper, we consider the inverse problem for identifying the source term and initial value simultaneously in a space-fractional Allen-Cahn equation. This problem is ill-posed, i.e., the solution of this problem does not depend continuously on the data. The fractional Tikhonov method is used to solve this problem. Under the a priori and the a posteriori regularization parameter choice rules, the error estimates between the regularization solutions and the exact solutions are obtained, respectively. Different numerical examples are presented to illustrate the validity and effectiveness of our method.  相似文献

In this paper, we solve the backward problem for a time-fractional diffusion equation with variable coefficients in a bounded domain by using the revised generalized Tikhonov regularization method. Convergence estimates under an a-priori and a-posteriori regularization parameter choice rules are given. Numerical example shows that the proposed method is effective and stable.  相似文献

In this paper, we explore the question of which non-linear inverse problems, which are solved by a selected regularization method, may have so-called linear a priori accuracy estimates – that is, the accuracy of corresponding approximate solutions linearly depends on the error level of the data. In particular, we prove that if such a linear estimate exists, then the inverse problem under consideration is well posed, according to Tikhonov. For linear inverse problems, we find that the existence of linear estimates lead to, under some assumptions, the well-posedness (according to Tikhonov) on the whole space of solutions. Moreover, we consider a method for solving inverse problems with guaranteed linear estimates, called the residual method on the correctness set (RMCS). The linear a priori estimates of absolute and relative accuracy for the RMCS are presented, as well as analogous a posteriori estimates. A numerical illustration of obtaining linear a priori estimates for appropriate parametric sets of solutions using RMCS is given in comparison with Tikhonov regularization. The a posteriori estimates are calculated on these parametric sets as well.  相似文献

Although the residual method, or constrained regularization, is frequently used in applications, a detailed study of its properties is still missing. This sharply contrasts the progress of the theory of Tikhonov regularization, where a series of new results for regularization in Banach spaces has been published in the recent years. The present paper intends to bridge the gap between the existing theories as far as possible. We develop a stability and convergence theory for the residual method in general topological spaces. In addition, we prove convergence rates in terms of (generalized) Bregman distances, which can also be applied to non-convex regularization functionals. We provide three examples that show the applicability of our theory. The first example is the regularized solution of linear operator equations on Lp-spaces, where we show that the results of Tikhonov regularization generalize unchanged to the residual method. As a second example, we consider the problem of density estimation from a finite number of sampling points, using the Wasserstein distance as a fidelity term and an entropy measure as regularization term. It is shown that the densities obtained in this way depend continuously on the location of the sampled points and that the underlying density can be recovered as the number of sampling points tends to infinity. Finally, we apply our theory to compressed sensing. Here, we show the well-posedness of the method and derive convergence rates both for convex and non-convex regularization under rather weak conditions.  相似文献

One of the most successful methods for solving the least‐squares problem minxAx?b2 with a highly ill‐conditioned or rank deficient coefficient matrix A is the method of Tikhonov regularization. In this paper, we derive the normwise, mixed and componentwise condition numbers and componentwise perturbation bounds for the Tikhonov regularization. Our results are sharper than the known results. Some numerical examples are given to illustrate our results. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
