Due to the multi-electronic nature, uranium is having line rich emission spectra and is expected to interfere during the determination of analytes at the trace level in uranium matrix. Therefore, chemical separation of uranium followed by the determination of trace metallic impurities in the raffinate by ICP-AES is generally adopted procedure in nuclear industries. There is restriction on choosing alternate analytical lines of elements by photomultiplier tube based ICP-AES associated with the polychromator while monochromator needs significant time to scan different analytical lines of all the elements. Since charged coupled detector (CCD) consists of array of pixels, it is having more option in choosing alternative analytical lines of the analytes. Therefore, an attempt was made to study the spectral interference of uranium on different analytical lines of analytes viz. Al, Ga, In, Si, Li, Ti, Mg, Sr, K, Ce, Nd, Lu, Sc, V, Er, Y, Ba, Bi, Pb, W, La, Tl, Sn, Yb, Mo, Sb, Pr and Zr; and the correction factors were evaluated (where ever necessary) using CCD based ICP-AES technique. The sensitivity and the detection limits of the analytical channels of the elements in presence of uranium matrix were calculated. The present study also deals with the identification of suitable analytical lines of uranium and its detection limits.  相似文献

熔融制样X射线荧光光谱法测定电解锰中锰、硅、磷和铁含量。用熔融后的四硼酸锂制作铂金坩埚保护层,以BaO2做氧化剂,在马弗炉内通过逐渐升温来氧化电解锰,然后熔融制取玻璃熔片,用X射线荧光(XRF)光谱法分析电解锰中锰、硅、磷和铁含量。锰、硅、磷和铁的相对标准偏差RSD分别为0.23%、2.82%、0.31%和0.53%。与其它分析方法比较,其结果更稳定。有效消除了电解锰熔融制样过程中的坩埚腐蚀问题,分析误差可完全控制在国家相关标准允许的范围内,实现了电解锰中各元素的快速准确测定。  相似文献

Summary An analytical procedure is described for the analysis of archaeological glass by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES). Glass samples were analysed in solution after fusion with lithium metaborate at 1100°C. The analyses were performed in the sequential multielemental mode of operation, with the determination of 15 elements in four analytical runs; only elements with not too large concentration difference were analysed in a single run. Niobium and its compounds have many uses in metallurgical, electrical,communication and a lot of high technical fields. It is necessary to set up a fast and correct analytical method, which should be suited to the requirements of products. Under normal conditions, we have to use several testing methods to determine impurity elements in niobium. It took us a tedious analytical time. An accurate method for determination of the constituents Ge, Si, In and Mg in Al–Ge–Si based compact alloys and foil materials by ICP atomic emission spectrometry is developed. The material samples were dissolved in nitric acid–hydrofluoric acid. Optimum parameters for the simultaneous measurement of the constituent elements are worked out. 用电感耦合等离子体发射光谱仪(ICP)测定软磁材料1J22中的锰、硅、镍、铜、钒.通过试验选择了适宜的测试条件,针对1J22软磁材料中常见元素对锰、硅、镍、铜、钒谱线的光谱干扰选择了合适的分析谱线,并进行了精密度和准确度试验.选用Mn 257. 610 nm、Si 251. 611 nm、Ni 351. 505 nm、Cu 224. 700 nm、V 292. 402 nm为分析线时.合成溶液的回收率为92. 0%~114. O%,RSD为0. 33%~7. 73%(n=6).本方法适合1J22软磁材料中锰、硅、镍、铜、钒元素的测定.  相似文献

Neutron-induced prompt gamma-ray analysis (PGA) was applied to seven meteorite samples (Allende, Zagami, Acfer 209, ALH77005, ALH84001, EET79001 and Neagari). Samples were irradiated in both the thermal neutron and the cold neutron guided beams of JRR-3M at JAERI. Multiple samples of an Allende standard powder were analyzed for Si using two different methods: (1) the comparison method, using a Si standard, and (2) the mono-standard method, using Fe as an internal reference element. The Si concentrations determined by these two methods are in good agreement with literature values. The analytical sensitivity for Si using the cold neutron guided beam is∼14.3× higher than that for the thermal neutron guided beam. Other elements determined (B, Ca, Ti and S) also showed higher sensitivities using the cold neutron beam. The other meteorites studied showed some anomalous B and S values likely due to the effects of terrestrial weathering/contamination.  相似文献

Production of new catalysts requires effective analytical quality control. The study of trace element composition of heterogeneous catalysts, based on C+PdO, using atomic emission spectrometry (AES) was carried out. A new method for the direct solid-state analysis by means of AES with direct current arc discharge was developed. On the basis of the qualitative analysis of elements, Al, Fe, Ni, Si and Ti have been identified, and for these elements, the quantitative method of determination has been developed. Optimization of excitation parameters and validation of the analytical method are presented. Calibration samples of the following composition were prepared: graphite powder (as a matrix), 3% of PdO and increasing contents of determined element oxides (spectrally pure). Calibrations were calculated by means of the least squares method. Working range for element impurities was from 1% to 0.0003%, and the limits of quantification — LOQ, (10-σ criterion) varied in the range from 0.002% (Ti) to 0.0038% (Si). For the control of active component, palladium was calibrated (working range — 0.01%–10.00%; LOQ ?0.027%). The developed method can be used, also, for the elemental determinations of the other carbon based catalysts with the different active components (of platinum group elements).   相似文献

Nuclear analytical methods namely in situ current normalised Particle Induced Gamma Ray Emission (PIGE) and conventional Instrumental Neutron Activation Analysis (INAA) were utilized for determining major, minor and trace concentrations of eighteen elements in five soda-lime (automobile) glass samples. Concentration of four major elements (Si, Na, Mg and Al) by PIGE and fourteen elements including ten trace elements by INAA were determined. For forensic application, major elements were used for confirming the class of glass samples, whereas concentration results of trace elements like transition and rare earth elements were utilized for finding similarity or differences among the glass samples.

Summary We have employed Compton supression neutron activation analysis in conjunction with thermal and epithermal neutrons to detemine trace elements in airborne particulate matter in Lisbon, Portugal. As a result of the proximity of ocean marine, elements such as sodium and chlorine can signficantly decrease the analytical sensitivities of many elements of interest due ot the high backgrounds arising from 38Cl and 24Na. Compton suppression has resulted in the increase of the analytical sensitivities using thermal neutrons of Al, Ba, Ce, Cr, Cu, Ni, Rb, Se, Th, Ti, V, and Zn. The use of Compton suppression and epithermal neutrons significantly reduced the detection limits for As, I, K, Si, and W, while the utilization of solely epithermal neutrons improved the analyses of In.  相似文献

A pulsed Nd:YAG laser operating on the fourth (266 nm) and second (532 nm) harmonics has been used to generate plasmas on the target surface in air at atmospheric pressure. The influence of wavelength on quantitative analysis of 4 minor elements in stainless steel samples (Si, Ti, Nb and Mo) was investigated. Stainless steel samples with different elemental concentrations were prepared and analyzed by laser-induced plasma spectrometry (LIPS). The effect of laser wavelength on analytical figures of merit (calibration curves, correlation coefficients, linear dynamic ranges, analytical precision, and accuracy values) was found to be negligible when internal standardization (an Fe line) and time-resolved laser-induced plasma are employed. For both wavelengths, the calibration curves presented a good linearity and an acceptable linear dynamic range in the concentration interval investigated. For the four elements studied, limits of detection lower than 150 microg g(-1) were achieved. To evaluate the influence of wavelength on precision and accuracy, a set of fifteen high-alloyed steel samples from different stages of steelmaking process have been analyzed. Finally, the long-term stability of the analytical measurements for Mo with 532 nm wavelength has been discussed. RSD values were lower than 5.3% for the elements studied.  相似文献
