The BEM is developed for nonlinear free and forced vibrations of circular plates with variable thickness undergoing large
deflections. General boundary conditions are considered, which may be also nonlinear. The problem is formulated in terms of
displacements. The solution is based on the concept of the analog equation, according to which the two coupled nonlinear differential
equations with variable coefficients pertaining to the in-plane radial and transverse deformation are converted to two uncoupled
linear ones of a substitute beam with unit axial and unit bending stiffness, respectively, under fictitious quasi-static load
distributions. Numerical examples are presented which illustrate the method and demonstrate its accuracy. 相似文献

In this paper, the flexural vibration analysis of moderate-thick rectangular plates with slowly varying thickness using perturbation method is described, and the explict expressions of free vibration frequencies for arbitrary thickness functions are derived. Finally, several numerical examples have been given and comparisons have been made with other proposed solution techniques. This comparison shows that the method yields very good results, so that this method may be regarded as an alternative effective method for the vibration and buckling analysis of plates and shells. 相似文献

Simplified nonlinear governing differential equations proposed by Berger for static cases and extended by Nash and Modeer for dynamic cases are used to analyse the title problem. Steady-state harmonic oscillations are assumed and the time variable is eliminated by a Kantorovich averaging method. The enclosure or comparison theorem of Collatz is then applied to the reduced equations to obtain the upper and lower bounds for the fundamental nonlinear frequency of simply-supported rectangular plates with linearly varying thickness. The fundamental eigenvalues are given for several taper and aspect ratios.Nomenclature

The problems of nonlinear deformation of a thin current-carrying shell under the coupled action of an unsteady electromagnetic
field and a mechanical field are studied. The nonlinear magneto-elastic kinetic equations, the physical equations, the geometric
equations, the electrodynamics equations, and the expressions of Lorentz force of a thin current-carrying shell under the
action of a coupled field are given. Normal Cauchy form nonlinear differential equations, which include ten basic unknown
functions in all, are obtained by the variable replacement method. Using the difference and quasilinearization methods, the
nonlinear magneto-elastic equations are reduced to a sequence of quasilinear differential equations, which can be solved by
the method of discrete orthogonalization. Numerical solutions for the stresses and deformations in the thin current-carrying
strip-shell with two simply supported edges are obtained by considering a specific example. The results that the stresses
and deformations in a thin current-carrying strip-shell with two simply supported edges change with variation of the electromagnetic
parameters are discussed, through a special case. It is shown that the deformations of the shell can be controlled by changing
the electromagnetic parameters

The problem of viscoplastic bending of reinforced plates with varying thickness is formulated. An original method for the
integration of this initial-boundary-value problem is developed. The numerical solution is compared with an analytical solution
obtained with a rigid-plastic model of an isotropic circular plate. The efficiency of the method is demonstrated by analyzing
the inelastic dynamics of reinforced plates with constant and varying thickness. It is shown that the maximum residual deflections
of plates can be reduced severalfold by means of rational profiling and reinforcement

Summary The nonlinear integral equations for a U-shaped bellows with compressed angle and varying wall-thickness are derived according
to the simplified Reissner theory of large deflection for revolution shells and integral-equation method. The iteration procedure
for nonlinear analysis is developed by means of the integral equation iteration in conjunction with the gradient method. Numerical
solutions for a U-shaped bellows under the action of axial compression force and internal pressure are obtained, which are
compared with previous theories and experiments. The present results are shown to have a good accuracy, and may be applied
directly to the design of bellows.

In this paper, a new method is presented based on [1]. It can be used to solve the arbitrary nonlinear system of differential equations with variable coefficients. By this method, the general solution for large deformation of nonhomogeneous circular plates resting on an elastic foundation is derived. The convergence of the solution is proved. Finally, it is only necessary to solve a set of nonlinear algebraic equations with three unknowns. The solution obtained by the present method has large convergence range and the computation is simpler and more rapid than other numerical methods.Numerical examples given at the end of this paper indicate that satisfactory results of stress resullants and displacements can be obtained by the present method. Based on von Karman plate theory, the issue about nonlinear vibration for circular sandwich plates under circumjacent load with the loosely clamped boundary condition was researched. Nonlinear differential eigenvalue equations and boundary conditions of the problem were formulated by variational method and then their exact static solution can be got. The solution was derived by modified iteration method, so the analytic relations between amplitude and nonlinear oscillating frequency for circular sandwich plates were obtained. The free vibration of annular thick plates with linearly varying thickness along the radial direction is studied, based on
the linear, small strain, three-dimensional (3-D) elasticity theory. Various boundary conditions, symmetrically and asymmetrically
linear variations of upper and lower surfaces are considered in the analysis. The well-known Ritz method is used to derive
the eigen-value equation. The trigonometric functions in the circumferential direction, the Chebyshev polynomials in the thickness
direction, and the Chebyshev polynomials multiplied by the boundary functions in the radial direction are chosen as the trial
functions. The present analysis includes full vibration modes, e.g., flexural, thickness-shear, extensive, and torsional.
The first eight frequency parameters accurate to at least four significant figures for five vibration categories are obtained.
Comparisons of present results for plates having symmetrically linearly varying thickness are made with others based on 2-D
classical thin plate theory, 2-D moderate thickness plate theory, and 3-D elasticity theory. The first 35 natural frequencies
for plates with asymmetrically linearly varying thickness are compared to the finite element solutions; excellent agreement
has been achieved. The asymmetry effect of upper and lower surface variations on the frequency parameters of annular plates
is discussed in detail. The first four modes of axisymmetric vibration for completely free circular plates with symmetrically
and asymmetrically linearly varying thickness are plotted. The present results for 3-D vibration of annular plates with linearly
varying thickness can be taken as benchmark data for validating results from various plate theories and numerical methods. 相似文献

波纹膜片是一种薄壳弹性体,由于它的参数很多,又相互制约,所以使得它的设计很复杂。在大多数位移式仪器仪表中,要求波纹膜片产生至少和膜片厚度是同样数量级的弹性位移。这就要求使用薄壳的几何非线性理论进行分析。大多数学者研究波纹膜片的弯曲问题,是采用扁壳理论讨论具有浅波纹的膜片。而工程实际中,经常遇到深波纹膜片,这就要求从一般壳体大挠度方程进行求解。本文采用轴对称旋转壳体的简化Re-issner方程。研究了在中心集中载荷作用下具有光滑中心波纹膜片的非线性弯曲问题。应用积分方程方法,可以获得膜片的特征关系(载荷-中心挠度关系)和应力分布。文末给出实例计算的数值结果。 相似文献
