Gamma-ray spectra from239Pu(n,f) reaction were measured with the gamma spectrometer on the pulsed reactor IBR-30. The fast 19-section ionization chamber with 1.6 g of239Pu targets was used. The fission gamma-rays within the 32 ns time window were measured using a Ge(Li) detector. Based on the measured gamma-ray spectrum in the (0.1–1.8) MeV interval, the total number of emitted-quanta-multiplicity N tot and total energy of -quanta per fission event, E tot , were calculated. The results were 7.0±0.6/fission and 6.8±0.5 MeV/fission respectively.This work is supported in part by the Grant Agency of the Slovak Academy of Science under grant GA-SAV 517/1992.  相似文献

The breakdown strength Eb has been related to the rate of increase in the field strength for thin films of polyethylene terephthalate (3.0 m), polycarbonate (3.5 m), and phenylone (5.5 m). A voltage constant in sign and varying linearly in time was used with sphere — sphere electrodes in capacitor oil. The effects from partial discharges are slight under these conditions. Eb, increases linearly with In for all the polymers below room temperature. The measurements are compared with the calculated Eb() derived from Bailey's criterion and the assumption that the electrical ageing rate is related to the macromolecule breakage rate in the field. There is good agreement between theory and experiment. A recently developed formula [R. Bukowski and B. Jeziorski, Phys. Rev. A46 (1992) 5437]. has been applied to estimate the soft-photon Lamb shift contribution to the energies of the muonic molecules pp, dd, tt, pd, pt and dt. The corresponding corrections to the dissociation energies for the excited P states of dd and dt have been found to be almost identical and equal to 0.048 meV. The magnitude of this stabilizing effect is too small to affect seriously the formation rates predictions.  相似文献

The multiplicities a of simple modules L in the composition series of Kac modules V lambda for the Lie superalgebra (m/n ) were described by Serganova, leading to her solution of the character problem for (m/n ). In Serganova's algorithm all with nonzero a are determined for a given this algorithm, turns out to be rather complicated. In this Letter, a simple rule is conjectured to find all nonzero a for any given weight . In particular, we claim that for an r-fold atypical weight there are 2r distinct weights such that a = 1, and a = 0 for all other weights . Some related properties on the multiplicities a are proved, and arguments in favour of our main conjecture are given. Finally, an extension of the conjecture describing the inverse of the matrix of Kazhdan–Lusztig polynomials is discussed.  相似文献

Slow production via dd-CF using a two-layer arrangement is investigated. To determine its feasibility, experimental measurements are now in progress using the muonic X-ray detection method. The following experimental steps are being considered: (1) measurement of the number of stopped inside a solid H2/D2 layer by detecting p K X-rays, (2) hot d emission detection by placing a secondary target at a distance of 10–30 mm from the layer and by detecting specific delayed X-rays, (3) measurement of the disappearance of d emission as the added D2 layer is increased, (4) dd-CF measurement by detecting fusion protons, and (5) slow emission detection. Results of the initial test experiment are presented.  相似文献

This paper describes a scalable small-signal equivalent circuit for 0.25 m gatelength Double Heterojunction delta-doped PHEMTs. The scaling rules for all elements except the pad capacitances and bondwire inductances have been determined. Good agreement is obtained between simulation results and measured results for 2 times 20 m , 2 times 40 m, 2 times 60 m, 2 times 100 m gate width (number of gate fingers times unit gate width) DH PHEMT.  相似文献

The internal conversion coefficients were calculated for the 165.853 keV 5/2+7/2+ hindered transition in 57 139 La using the new computer program NICC for conversion coefficients of all atomic shells. The algorithm employed in this code is described. The analysis of precise experimental data yielded the nuclear penetration parameter=4.2±0.8. This value was found to be in accord with theoretical estimates and to correspond to the Nilsson deformation parameter=–0.056±0004 of the139La nucleus. Using the Nilsson wave functions for above the mixing ratio 2 = N(E2)/N(M1) was determined to be less than 8.10–5, which supports the assumption of a pureM1 multipolarity of this transition.Presented at the 26th All-Union Conference on Nuclear Spectroscopy and Nuclear Structure (February 1976, Baku, USSR).We are obliged to Dr. B. Based upon the recent discovery at UT MSL/KEK, a new idea is proposed for producing a slow and monoenergetic (3.2 keV) (3He)+ ion beam by using particle decay of the (d3He) muon molecule formed during the (d) to3He transfer reaction. The proposed intense (3He) beam as well as the less intense (4He) beam will open up way to various new types of important CF experiments.  相似文献

By using the [General Relativity + additional matter fields] formulation (which depends on a redefined metrich ) of metric theories of gravitation, the study of singularities characterized by incomplete nonspacelike geodesics is simplified, but may be used only if (at least) the non-spacelike geodesics of the original metricg are conserved under the transformation betweeng and the new metrich . In order that every class of geodesies of a diagonal Bianchi I metric correspond to the same class of geodesies of a diagonal metrich , it is necessary that the transformation between these two metrics be a constant (positive) conformal transformation. We analyse the implications of the previous results for the singularitiesg when the latter is a solution of theories with a quadratic or polynomial Lagrangian.  相似文献

We consider a billiard in the punctured torus obtained by removing a small disk of radius >0 from the flat torus 2, with trajectory starting from the center of the puncture. In this case the phase space is given by the range of the velocity only. We prove that the probability measures on [0, ) associated with the random variables and R are weakly convergent as 0+ and explicitly compute the densities of the limits. The absorption of laser light in 0.25–1 mm diameter gold cavities, irradiated for the purpose of generating high-temperature blackbody radiation with intense laser radiation of either =0.44 m or =1.3 m wavelength, was investigated. For =0.44 m radiation the absorption exceeded 0.9 for all conditions, but dropped to only 0.3 for the smallest cavities irradiated at =1.3 m. Entrance hole and cavity filling with plasma seems important for the understanding of the observations.  相似文献

The sticking process dt + n, which constitutes the most severe limit to the number of fusions which a muon can catalyze, is reviewed. Many attempts were made to determine by calculations and measurements the probability for initial sticking s 0 (immediately after dt fusion) and for final sticking s (after the came to rest). Previous results based on neutron disappearance rates and on the observation of -X-rays were controversial and also in some disagreement with theory. New data are reported from PSI on direct observation of final sticking, using a setup with the St. Petersburg ionization chamber. These data mark a significant improvement in reliability and may clarify questions concerning previous discrepancies. The new results is s(0.56±0.04)%, lower than the theory prediction s=(0.65±0.03)%, at medium density.  相似文献

The present paper summarizes new experimental proposals on muon catalyzed fusion (CF) research with a sharply pulsed negative muon beam now available at the UTMSL/KEK facility and soon to be available in a more extensive way at the RIKEN/RAL facility. In millimeter wave lengths region semiconductor generators, amplifiers, mixers and other solid state UHF devices find a wide application. In our work, we suggested to use aCircular Through-Shaped Resonator for obtaining power combination using active elements at frequency region f20–40 GHz.The resonator is formed by two plane aluminum reflectors. The first reflector has a circular groove. The second reflector has coupling elements. The first and the second reflectors are considered as a ring groove shaped waveguide.A resonator spectrum was calculated and analyzed in the frequency range f 20–40 GHz. It is showed that, in the given frequency range the resonator spectrum has a complicated structure and is formed by a series of spectrum lines; a frequency range between the series increases with the frequency increasing.We studied on transmission coefficient of the resonator, frequency shifts of spectrum lines when inserting a thin (t/0.003) dielectric substrates into the resonator, and also attenuation constants of waves propagating in circular groove (due to losses in metal).  相似文献

In this paper we consider distributions of the form 1/P and dy/P(x,y), whereP is a polynomial. Using results by Kashiwara and Kawai we give fairly accessible proofs that these expressions can be defined as regular holonomic distributions by utilising a meromorphic parameter. We also discuss distributions of the form /P and their direct image , when one knows that is a regular holonomic distribution. All these distributions are relevant to the study of renormalised Feynman integrals.  相似文献

We prove that for any >2 and a.e. , the pure point spectrum of the almost Mathieu operator (H()) n = n-1 + n+1 + cos(2( +n)) n contains the essential closure of the spectrum.
