High-resolution absorption spectra of the following diphenylmethylenes (DPMs) dispersed in benzophenone crystals at liquid-helium temperatures are presented: DPM-h10, DPM-d10, 4-chloro-DPM, and 4-bromo-DPM. The substituent effects concerning the electronic structure, transition energy and intensity are discussed. From polarization measurements, the electronic configurations of the ground and the first excited triplet states of these DPMs are assigned as (pπ)1(pσ)1 and (pσ)1(π*)1, respectively. Further studies reveal a second excited triplet state, designated as (pπ)1(π*)1, which lies less than 1000 cm-1 above the first excited triplet state of DPM. Diffuse broad bands appear as common features in all the spectra. Such diffuseness is discussed in terms of electron-phonon coupling of the low-lying excited states.  相似文献

Dehydroxylation of naturally occurring oligomeric resveratrol derivatives resulted in the formation of compounds with dramatically reduced principal stable conformers. In addition, dehydroxylation allowed the determination of the absolute configurations of the original resveratrols via comparison of experimental and theoretical electronic circular dichroic spectra. Notably, the absolute configuration of pauciflorol B was identified using this novel procedure, which is the first application of dehydroxylated derivatives for the determination of the absolute configuration of naturally occurring polyphenols.  相似文献

We show how high-resolution NMR spectra can be obtained for solids for which the spectra are normally broadened due to structural disorder. The method relies on correlations in the chemical shifts between pairs of coupled spins. It is found experimentally that there are strong correlations in the chemical shifts between neighboring spins in both phosphorus-31 and carbon-13 spectra. These correlations can be exploited not only to provide resolution in two-dimensional spectra, but also to yield "chains" of correlated chemical shifts, constituting a valuable new source of structural information for disordered materials.  相似文献

Absorption and fluorescence spectra of 1,5-, 1,6- and 4,6-benzo[h]naphthyridines (BN) were examined in Shpolskii matrices and in n-butanol at 77 K. Vibrational analysis of quasilinear spectra of 1,6- and 4,6-BN in n-hexane matrices was performed. Calcula- tions of the electronic structure of the isomers examined were done using a modified INDO CI method. The results of the experiments and calculations prove the π, π* state to be the lowest excited singlet state of 1,6- and 4,6-BN molecules; in 1,5-BN molecule the S1 (n, π*) state is strongly perturbed by the nearby s2(π π*) state.  相似文献

Six functionalized bis(phenylene ethynylene)-p,p-terphenyls (BPETs) have been synthesized as potential molecular electronic devices. The molecules containing mono- and dinitro terphenyl cores, were rationally designed based on the electronic properties recently found in oligo(phenylene ethynylene)s (OPEs). From our understanding of the conductance properties in OPEs, improvement of electronic properties may be possible by using BPETs due to a higher rotational barrier between the central aromatic rings of the compounds prepared here. BPETs cores were functionalized with nitro groups and with different metallic adhesion moieties (alligator clips) to provide new compounds for testing in the nanopore and planar testbed structures.  相似文献

100-MHz NMR spectra are reported for solutions of the 1:1 copolymers of sulfur dioxide with hex-1-ene, cis- and trans-but-2-enes, cyclohexene, cyclopentene, and norbornene, including the deuterated polymers made from hex-1-ene-2-d1, cis- and trans-but-2-ene-2,3-d2, and cyclohexene-3,3,6,6-d4. The resolution of the spectrum of poly-(hex-1-ene sulfone) was very poor in CCl4 as solvent but good in polar solvents. The main-chain CH2 protons are nonequivalent, and their chemical shifts show sensitivity to dyad structure; the α-CH2 protons are also non-equivalent. The spectra of most of the other polymers are discussed in terms of possible preferential modes of addition as well as tacticity effects.  相似文献

[structure: see text] Alternating thiophene-phosphole oligomers up to seven rings in length have been synthesized. A regular decrease of the HOMO-LUMO gap is observed upon increasing the length of the pi-conjugated system. The nature of the P-moieties dramatically influences the optical and electrochemical properties of these phosphole-based oligomers. Electro-oxidation of derivative 5a afforded an electroactive polymer exhibiting reversible p-doping.  相似文献

High-resolution mass spectra of anti- and syn-acylferrocene oximes were examined at various ionizing voltages and fragmentation patterns of the oximes are presented. Significant differences between the anti- and syn-isomers were found in the fragmentation behaviour of the low voltage (15 to 20 eV) spectrum of formylferrocene oxime.  相似文献

High-resolution 13C NMR studies of cellulose and cellulose oligomers dissolved in the ionic liquid (IL) 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ([C4mim]Cl) show that the beta-(1-->4)-linked glucose oligomers are disordered in this medium and have a conformational behavior which parallels the one observed in water, and thus, reveal that the polymer is disordered in IL solution as well.  相似文献

High-resolution solid-state magic angle spinning (73)Ge NMR spectra of some organogermanium compounds were measured. Most tetrasubstituted germanes with identical substituents exhibited signals except for one case. Tetrasubstituted germanes with two kinds of different but somewhat similar substituents exhibited broad peaks. Trisubstituted germanes failed to show signals, indicating the importance of symmetry around germanium.  相似文献

High-resolution solid-state magic angle spinning 73Ge NMR spectra of hexavalent germanium compounds, i.e. diiodogermylene (1a) and bis(1-pyrrolyl)(meso-tetraphenylporphyrinato)germanium (3a), were determined. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first example of high-resolution solid-state 73Ge NMR spectra of hexacoordinated germanium nuclei. The synthesis and the optical and electrochemical properties of 2-aryl-2H-benzotriazole based thiophene oligomers with chemical modifications either on the phenyl side group or on the backbone are presented. All data, supported by DFT calculations, show that modification on the backbone has a major impact on the electronic properties while the side groups can fine-tune the electronic properties. A method is given for computing, using a solution to the Langevin equation, the picosecond time-resolved spectrum of a molecule undergoing changes in both geometry and electronic state, in a solvent; the method is also applicable to calculating the probability of changing electronic state as a function of time and geometry. Dimeric phthalocyanines of a new type with a bridging 9,9,10,10-tetramethyl-9,10-dihydroanthracene fragment were synthesized. On the basis of X-ray diffraction analysis and molecular modeling of 9,9,10,10-tetramethyl-9,10-dihydroanthracene, a nearly planar structure was assumed for these phthalocyanines. Highly accurate excitation spectra are predicted for the low-lying n-π* and π-π* states of uracil for both the gas phase and in water employing the complete active space self-consistent field (CASSCF) and multiconfigurational quasidegenerate perturbation theory (MCQDPT) methods. Implementation of the effective fragment potential (EFP) solvent method with CASSCF and MCQDPT enables the prediction of highly accurate solvated spectra, along with a direct interpretation of solvent shifts in terms of intermolecular interactions between solvent and solute. Solvent shifts of the n-π* and π-π* excited states arise mainly from a change in the electrostatic interaction between solvent and solute upon photoexcitation. Polarization (induction) interactions contribute about 0.1 eV to the solvent-shifted excitation. The blue shift of the n-π* state is found to be 0.43 eV and the red shift of the π-π* state is found to be -0.26 eV. Furthermore, the spectra show that in solution the π-π* state is 0.4 eV lower in energy than the n-π* state.  相似文献

The autocorrelation function C(t) associated with the vibrational motion in the A2IIu state of N2+ is calculated by three different methods. The classical method is based on classical trajectory calculations and provides good results except for secondary maxima appearing in the experimental autocorrelation function and resulting from interference effects. In the semiclassical method, the wavefunction is expanded in a basis of frozen gaussian functions. The secondary maxima are reproduced and the result is quite satisfactory. The superposition procedure consists in an expansion of the wavefunction in the eigenfunctions of the A state of N2+ and leads to a very simple formula for the autocorrelation function C(t). The secondary maxima are accounted for and the calculated function agrees very well with experimental results.  相似文献
