运用数值模拟方法讨论了控制场的变化对M型五能级原子系统相对于探测场的吸收和色散等光学性质的影响.结果表明,改变控制场拉比频率时,系统的吸收和色散性质会发生规律性变化.在特定区域会呈现电磁感应透明窗口,其中透明窗口的数量与外加控制场数目成正比,而透明窗口宽度与拉比频率大小相关,拉比频率越大,透明窗口越平坦,当拉比频率减小,透明窗口变窄同时介质色散增强可获得慢光速光脉冲.  相似文献

采用了一个梯形四能级原子系统,在多模光场的作用下利用量子相干技术使其实现介质的左手效应,使介质具备左手材料特性。在相互作用表象下,利用密度矩阵方程并结合相关条件下的有关公式进行理论计算,数值模拟结果显示,在合适的参量条件下,介质的相对介电常量和相对磁导率可以同时出现负值,产生了左手效应,相应的介质转化为左手材料。通过讨论在左手效应成立的条件下介质对光场的吸收和增益问题,结果表明,在弱探测场条件下,利用电磁诱导的方法也可以实现介质的左手效应。  相似文献

A four-level system driven by two coherent fields is considered. It is shown that in the presence of an incoherent pump, the probe gain at a short wavelength can be achieved due to the quantum interference. Our density matrix calculation provides the conditions for probe amplification from different origins, including gain without population inversion on any state basis, gain with population inversion on the dressed-state basis, and gain with population inversion on the bare-state basis. Also, by controlling the Rabi frequency of the coupling field a total change from non-inversion to inversion can be achieved which does not depend on the intensity of the incoherent pump.  相似文献

We investigate the phase-dependent gain and absorption behaviors of mid- to far-infrared lights under a cascade configuration in an asymmetric semiconductor three-coupled-quantum-well (TCQW) structure based on intersubband transitions (ISBTs). In the proposed TCQW scheme, the amplification of the probe and signal fields, i.e., the far- and mid-infrared waves, can be realized with realistic experimental parameters. The gain-absorption spectra are strongly dependent on the relative phase of the applied laser fields. The influences of the probe detuning and the two pump Rabi energies on the gain-absorption responses of two weak far- and mid-infrared light fields are also discussed in details. The results show that amplifications of the far- and mid- infrared waves can be achieved by adjusting the relative phase, the probe detuning, and the two pump Rabi energies appropriately. Such a semiconductor system is much more practical than its atomic counterpart because of its flexible design and the wide adjustable parameters. For practical applications, this investigation may provide a new possibility for realizing the efficient gain of far- and mid-infrared waves in the solid-state materials.  相似文献

研究了在引入非相干抽运的情况下,循环跃迁的Δ型共振三能级系统中产生的无反转激光.利用主方程的方法, 导出了缀饰态中强相干场极限下布居数项和相干项的稳态近似解析解以及产生无反转激光所需要满足的条件;并利用数值模拟的方法讨论了布居数分布、 系统增益对探测场和相干场拉比频率的依赖性以及随时间的演化规律. 结果表明:无论各个参量取何值,共振Δ型三能级系统总是处于无粒子数反转的状态; 只要探测场或相干场之中有一个为强场,便可产生无反转激光; 当其中任意一个场远强于另一个场时,系统的无反转增益将不再依赖于任何一个场的拉比频率.  相似文献

在微波场闭合的三能级Lambda系统中计算了弱探测场的吸收和色散特性,发现闭合原子系统中的量子干涉导致弱探测场的吸收和色散特性依赖于施加场的相对位相。通过调节相对位相,获得了大的无反转增益和零吸收的高折射率。在三光子非共振的情况下,探测增益和吸收呈现随时间的振荡行为。  相似文献

We investigate two-dimensional (2D) electron localization via phase-controlled absorption and gain of a weak probe field in an asymmetric semiconductor three-coupled quantum well (TCQW) with a closed loop under the action of two orthogonal standing-wave fields. It is found that we can achieve high-precision and high-resolution 2D electron localization via properly varying the parameters of the system. The influences of direct one-photon transition and indirect three-photon transition on the precision of probe absorption–gain spectra are also discussed in details. Thus, the proposed scheme shows the underlying probability for the formation of the 2D electron localization in a solid.  相似文献

The control role of the relative phase between the probe and driving fields on the gain and dispersion in an open three-level ladder atomic system with incoherent pumping and spontaneously generated coherence is investigated. It is shown that by adjusting the value of the relative phase, the switching from lasing with inversion to lasing without inversion (LWI) can be realized; high index of the refraction with zero absorption can be achieved. It is also found that when the driving field is on resonance, the dispersion curve versus the probe detuning is very similar to the gain curve if the relative phase corresponding to the dispersion advances π/2 than that corresponding to the gain. LWI gain from the open system is obviously larger than that from corresponding closed system. When the incoherent pumping is absent, the open system can get LWI gain, moreover the gain is larger than that when the incoherent pumping presents for suitable value of the relative phase, but the corresponding closed system exhibits only absorption. In addition, manipulation effects of atomic exit and ratio of the injection rates on phase dependent gain are also analyzed.  相似文献

利用数值模拟的方法讨论了稳态下准型四能级原子与两光场相互作用系统对探测场的增益以及与粒子数布居规律之间的关系。结果表明即使在场较弱的情况下,随着探测场和它所对应能级间跃迁频率失谐量的变化,系统在所有拉比频率相位为零时对探测光总会同时呈现三个增益峰和两个固定的产生电磁感应透明(EIT)现象的位置,并且当系统呈现电磁感应透明的同时,探测场所对应的高能级粒子数为零;而拉比频率相位的变化则会导致系统对探测光既有吸收也有增益,并且也呈现电磁感应透明现象,但仅仅相位的变化并不影响高能级的粒子数分布。值得注意的是该结果均在精确求解下所得。  相似文献

This paper investigates the control role of the relative phase between the probe and driving fields on the gain, dispersion and populations in an open A system with spontaneously generated coherence (SGC). It shows that by adjusting the value of the relative phase, a change from lasing with inversion to lasing without inversion can be realized; the values and frequency spectrum regions of the inversionless gain and dispersion can be obviously varied; high refractive index with zero absorption and electromagnetically induced transparency can be achieved. It is also found that when the driving field is resonant, the shapes of the dispersion and the gain curves versus the probe detuning are very similar if the relative phase of the dispersion lags π/2 than that of the gain, however for the off-resonant driving field the similarity will disappear; the gain, dispersion and populations are periodical functions of the relative phase, the modulation period is always 2π; the contribution of SGC to the inversionless gain and dispersion is much larger than that of the dynamically induced coherence.  相似文献

We report a new coherence and interference phenomenon in a V-typesystem with an external field coupling two upper levels. It is found that the probe gain can be generated even when no probe field is applied to the system, we attribute this result to the existence of the external field. By comparing with the conventional probe gain, the probe gain without the probe field is enhanced greatly because of the absence of the population inversion term.  相似文献

In order to achieve the phase-sensitive probe gain without population inversion, we investigate a three-level Λ-type atomic system driven by a coherent field and a microwave field. It is shown that, by modulating the relative phase of applied fields, we can obtain quite high inversionless gain at different probe detunings and change the gain behavior of the probe correspondingly. We find that amplitudes of the coherent field and the microwave field are also important factors that can result in different gain behavior of the probe. Here, we use the microwave field to induce the quantum coherence between the two ground levels, which is necessary for phase-sensitive effects, since it can result in the interference between two different transition channels. We have studied the probe gain via a double-Λ atomic system with a pair of closely lying lower levels in the presence of two probe and two coherent pump fields. The inversionless gain can be realized by using nondegenerate four-wave mixing under the condition of spontaneously generated coherence(SGC) owing to near-degenerate lower levels. Note that by using SGC, two probe fields can be amplified with more remarkable amplitudes, and the gain spectra of an extremely narrow linewidth can be obtained. Last but not least, our results show that the probe gain is quite sensitive to relative phases due to the SGC presence which allows one to modulate the gain spectra periodically by phase modulation, and can also be influenced by all laser field intensities and frequencies, and the angles between dipole elements.  相似文献

In a three-level asymmetric semiconductor quantum well system, owing to the effects that result from the incoherent pumping fields, the probe absorption of probe field can be effectively controlled. The result is achieved by applying the two incoherent pumping fields, so it is different from the conventional way in ordinary laser-driven schemes that coherent driving fields are necessary to control the probe absorption. Otherwise, our study is much more practical than its atomic counterpart due to its flexible design and the controllable interference strength. Thus, it may provide some new possibilities for technological applications in optoelectronics and solid-state quantum information science.  相似文献

We studied effects of the relative phase between the probe and driving fields on the absorption and dispersion properties in an open three-level ladder system with spontaneously generated coherence but without incoherent pumping. It is shown that by the phase controlling, switching from absorption to lasing without inversion (LWI) and enhancing remarkablely LWI gain can be realized; large index of refraction with zero absorption and the electromagnetically induced transparency can be obtained. We also find that varying the atomic injection and exit rates has a considerable influence on the phase dependent-absorption property of the probe field, existent of the atomic injection and exit rates gives the necessary condition of the realization of LWI, getting LWI is impossible in the corresponding closed system without incoherent pumping.  相似文献

We propose a scheme for controllably implementing an N-qubit phase gate by one step within a ground-state subspace of N three-state atoms trapped in a cavity through a double Raman passage.We can extend our scheme to the realisation of an arbitrary N-qubit phase gate by appropriately adjusting coupling strengths and detunings between atoms and external driving fields.The advantage of this one-step scheme is its robustness against decoherence.  相似文献

In this paper we study influences of Doppler broadening, spontaneously generated coherence, and other system parameters on propagation effect in a quasi lambda-type four-level atomic system. It is shown that when the Doppler broadening is present, generally speaking, the values of gain and intensity of lasing without inversion (i.e. the probe field) in the co-propagating probe and driving fields case are much larger than those in the counter-propagating case; considerably larger gain and intensity of lasing without inversion than those without the Doppler broadening can be obtained by choosing appropriate values of the Doppler broadening width and spontaneously generated coherence strength. The gain and intensity of lasing without inversion increase with the increase of spontaneously generated coherence strength; when spontaneously generated coherence is present, much larger gain and intensity of lasing without inversion than those in the case without spontaneously generated coherence can be obtained. Choosing suitable values of the probe detuning, Rabi frequencies of the driving and pump fields at the entrance of the medium also can remarkably enhance the gain and intensity of lasing without inversion.  相似文献

提出了一个由两个弱探测场和两个强耦合场驱动的四能级双V型原子系统, 研究发现在四波混频共振条件下, 两探测场均可被放大而无须粒子数反转. 值得注意的是, 由于所选择的激发态为超精细结构的两个近能级, 这里必须考虑自发辐射相干效应的影响. 与不考虑自发辐射相干相比, 同样参数条件下探测场的增益得到大幅度提高.而且, 探测场增益对相位非常敏感, 即增益-吸收线型受相位周期性调制, 同时也受两个偶极矩之间夹角θ制约. 此外还分析了相干抽运场 (强耦合场)的失谐对增益谱线产生的影响. 关键词: 无粒子数反转激光 四波混频 自发辐射相干  相似文献
