We call T C B（H） consistent in Fredholm and index （briefly a CFI operator） if for each B ∈ B（H）, TB and BT are Fredholm together and the same index of B, or not Fredholm together. Using a new spectrum defined in view of the CFI operator, we give the equivalence of Weyl＇s theorem and property （ω） for T and its conjugate operator T^＊. In addition, the property （ω） for operator matrices is considered.

A SORT OF POLYNOMIAL IDENTITIES OF $\[{M_n}(F)\]$ WITH CHAR $\[F \ne 0\]$

In this paper, the author obtains the following result: The symmetric polynomial on $t$ letters $$\[{S_{sym(t)}}({x_1},{x_2}, \cdots ,{x_t}) = \sum\limits_{x \in sym(t)} {{X_{\pi 1}}{X_{\pi 2}} \cdots {X_{\pi t}}} \]$$ is a polynomial identity of $\[{M_n}(F)\]$ when $\[t \ge pn\]$, and this is sharp in the sense that if $\[t \le pn - 1\]$,it is not a polynomial identity of $\[{M_n}(F)\]$.

Abstract Let Kv be the complete graph on v vertices, and G a finite simple undirected graph without isolated vertices. A G-packing of Kv, denoted by （v, G, 1）-packing, is a pair （X,A） where X is the vertex set of K＋ and ＋4 is a family of edge-disjoint subgraphs isomorphic to G in Kv. In this paper, the maximum number of subgraphs in a （v, G, 1）-packing is determined when G is K2 x K3, the Cartesian product of K2 and K3, leaving two orders undetermined. This design originated from the use of DNA library screening.

In this note we study the property （ω）, a variant of Weyl＇s theorem introduced by Rakocevic, by means of the new spectrum. We establish for a bounded linear operator defined on a Banach space a necessary and sufficient condition for which both property （ω） and approximate Weyl＇s theorem hold. As a consequence of the main result, we study the property （ω） and approximate Weyl＇s theorem for a class of operators which we call the λ-weak-H（p） operators.

本文讨论赋$\beta$-范空间中的最佳逼近问题.以[1]引进的共轭锥为工具,借助[2]中关于$\beta$-次半范的Hahn-Banach延拓定理,第二节给出赋$\beta$-范空间的闭子空间中最佳逼近元的特征,第三节得到赋$\beta$-范空间中任何凸子集或子空间均为半Chebyshev集的充要条件是空间本身严格凸,文章最后证明了严格凸的赋$\beta$-范空间中任何有限维子空间都是Chebyshev集.     

有限群的$\Phi$-$\tau$-可补子群

假设$\tau$是一个子群算子, $H$是有限群$G$的一个$p$-子群. 令 $\bar{G}=G/H_{G}$且$\bar{H}=H/H_{G}$, 如果$\bar{G}$有一个次正规子群$\bar{T}$ 和一个包含于$\bar{H}$ 的$\tau$-子群$\bar{S}$满足$\bar{G}=\bar{H}\bar{T}$且$\bar{H}\cap\bar{T}\leq \bar{S}\Phi(\bar{H})$, 就称$H$是$G$的一个$\Phi$-$\tau$- 可补子群. 文章通过讨论群$G$的准素数子群的$\Phi$-$\tau$-可补性给出了超循环嵌入和$p$-幂零性的一些新的特征.     

On $\mathfrak{F}_\tau$-$s$-Supplemented Subgroups of Finite Groups

Let $\mathfrak{F}$ be a non-empty formation of groups, $\tau$ a subgroup functor and $H$ a $p$-subgroup of a finite group $G.$ Let $\overline{G}=G/H_G$ and $\overline{H} =H/H_G.$ We say that $H$ is $\mathfrak{F}_\tau$-$s$-supplemented in $G$ if for some subgroup $\overline{T}$ and some $\tau$-subgroup $\overline{S}$ of $\overline{G}$ contained in $\overline{H},$ $\overline{H}\overline{T}$ is subnormal in $\overline{G}$ and $\overline{H} ∩ \overline{T} ≤ \overline{S}Z_{\mathfrak{F}}(\overline{G}).$ In this paper, we investigate the influence of $\mathfrak{F}_\tau$-$s$-supplemented subgroups on the structure of finite groups. Some new characterizations about solubility of finite groups are obtained.

$F$是一个群系. $G$的子群$H$在$G$中称为$F_s$-拟正规的,如果存在$G$的正规子群$T$,使得$HT$在$G$中是$s$-置换的并且$(H\cap T)H_G/H_G$包含在$G/H_G$的$F$超中心$Z^F_\infty(G/H_G)$中.本文利用$F_s$-拟正规子群研究了有限群的结构.获得了某些新的结果.
