If, for a subset S of ?k, we compare the conditions of being parametrizable by (a) a single k-tuple of polynomials with integer coefficients, (b) a single k-tuple of integer-valued polynomials, and (c) finitely many k-tuples of polynomials with integer coefficients (variables ranging through the integers in each case), then a ? b (obviously), b ? c, and neither implication is reversible. Condition (b) is equivalent to S being the set of integer k-tuples in the range of a k-tuple of polynomials with rational coefficients, as the variables range through the integers. Also, we show that every co-finite subset of ?k is parametrizable a single k-tuple of polynomials with integer coefficients. 相似文献

Given a polynomial f ∈ ?[X] such that f(?) ? ?, we investigate whether the set f(?) can be parametrized by a multivariate polynomial with integer coefficients, that is, the existence of g ∈ ?[X 1,…, X m ] such that f(?) = g(? m ). We offer a necessary and sufficient condition on f for this to be possible. In particular, it turns out that some power of 2 is a common denominator of the coefficients of f, and there exists a rational β with odd numerator and odd prime-power denominator such that f(X) = f(β ?X). Moreover, if f(?) is likewise parametrizable, then this can be done by a polynomial in one or two variables. 相似文献

Let Gi be closed Lie groups of U (n), Ω i be bounded Gi-invariant domains in C^n which contains 0, and O(C^n)^Gi = C, for i = 1, 2. It is known that if f : Ω 1 → Ω 2 is a proper holomorphic mapping, and f^-1{0} = {0}, then f is a polynomial mapping. This paper discussed how to solve the polynomial ordinary differential equations. At first, we construct the theory of the linear equations about the unknown one variable functions with constant coefficients. Secondly, we use this theory to convert the polynomial ordinary differential equations into the simultaneous first order linear ordinary differential equations with constant coefficients and quadratic equations. Thirdly, we work out the general solution of the polynomial ordinary differential equations which is no longer concerned with the differential. Abstract We show that every element of the integral closure D′ of a domain D occurs as a coefficient of the minimal polynomial of a matrix with entries in D. This answers affirmatively a question of Brewer and Richman, namely, if integrally closed domains are characterized by the property that the minimal polynomial of every square matrix with entries in D is in D[x].
