The dynamic behavior of the magnetization under a transverse microwave field is investigated in a system of magnetic layers with cubic crystallographic anisotropy coupled through interlayer antiferromagnetic exchange interaction. An orientational phase transition is found to occur as the microwave field frequency and amplitude are varied. It is established that there is a frequency range in which several steady-state regimes of precession of magnetic moments exist. The limits of this range can be efficiently controlled both by varying the strength of the bias magnetic field and the amplitude of the microwave field.  相似文献

Stressed heterojunctions with antiferromagnetic ordering, in which the primary semiconductors have mutually inverted band spectra, are investigated. It is shown that the interface-bound states formed in these heterojunctions are split with respect to spin. As a result, if the Fermi level falls within one of the bands of the interface states, magnetic ordering is induced in the plane of the interface, i.e., the interfacial magnetism phenomenon can be observed. The dynamical critical exponent z of the Ising antiferromagnet under the constraint of a fixed zero magnetization is verified by Monte Carlo simulations to be compatible with that of the usual Glauber dynamics of model A, while for positive magnetization the exponent seems different. We show that there is a thermoinduced contribution to the magnetic moment of nanoparticles of antiferromagnetic materials. It arises from thermal excitations of the uniform spin-precession mode, and it has the unusual property that its magnitude increases with increasing temperature. This has the consequence that antiferromagnetism is nonexistent in nanoparticles at finite temperatures and it explains magnetic anomalies, which recently have been reported in a number of studies of nanoparticles of antiferromagnetic materials.  相似文献

We report enhancement of magnetization below the antiferromagnetic ordering temperature TN in nanoparticles of two antiferromagnets, viz CoRh2O4 and Cr2O3. The enhancement of magnetization below TN is systematic, being larger for sample with smaller particle size. Scaling analysis showed that such enhancement of magnetization in CoRh2O4 nanoparticles is due to the superparamagnetic type contribution of surface (shell) spins. The present work shows that similar analysis can also be applied in Cr2O3 nanoparticles.  相似文献

In the mixed state of layered superconductor, the antiferromagnetic order of magnetic ions can create the spin-flop domains along the phase cores of the Josephson vortices, and this property impact upon the creep rate in the antiferromagnetic superconductor. The activation of the creep at constant temperature can be either thermal or quantum, depending on the intensity, or direction of the applied magnetic field. It is also shown that the action, and hence the activation energy, is rendered temperature dependent, when the damping and inertial mass of the vortex are included, so that the quantum tunnelling rate becomes temperature dependent below the crossover temperature.  相似文献

The anomalous Pr antiferromagnetic order with high Néel temperature TN(Pr) are reported throughout the whole Pr1+xBa2−xCu3O7−y or 1212-type Cu(Ba2−xPrx)PrCu2O7−y system (−0.2<x<1; −0.4<y<1), where three distinct crystal structures were observed: orthorhombic 1212-chain O(I) (space group Pmmm), tetragonal T (P4/mmm), and orthorhombic O(II) (Cmmm). Systematic variation of TN(Pr) in this system as well as in other 1212 and 2212 cuprates MnA2PrCu2O7 (n=1, 2, M=Hg, Tl, Pb/Cu, Bi, Nb, Cu; A=Sr, Ba, Ba/Pr) was discussed through the correlation of TN(Pr) with Pr–O bond length. The importance of quasi-two-dimensional Pr–O–Pr superexchange magnetic coupling through strong wave function overlap between the overextended Pr-4f orbital with eight O-2pπ orbitals in the adjacent CuO2 bi-layer is discussed. No superconductivity was observed in the present study.  相似文献

The features of precession of the magnetic moment of a film near ferromagnetic resonance are investigated which are due to the magnetic-moment nutation in the effective field and to the frequency-doubling effect. The contribution to this precession from harmonics with frequencies which are multiples of the basic resonance frequency is analyzed for a garnet ferrite film of the (111) type in a perpendicular bias magnetic field.  相似文献

It is shown that in semimetallic, low-temperature antiferromagnetic materials located in a quantizing magnetic field, the part of the band magnetization M which oscillates in H can have a nonmonotonic temperature dependence. This non-Fermi liquid behavior will show up experimentally in the form of quantum temperature fluctuations of the magnetization when the decrease with rising temperature is oscillatory, rather than the usual monotonic decrease. It is shown that the magnetization from an individual spin electron (or hole) subband has the form of weakly damped periodic oscillations as a function of T 2. This result makes it possible to develop an efficient method for studying the electronic structure of antiferromagnetic semimetals based on an examination of the quantum temperature fluctuations. Calculations show that quantum temperature fluctuations can be observed, for example, in the cerium monopnictides CeP and CeAs, which are strongly correlated, antiferromagnetic, compensated semimetals with low Neel temperatures. We report the first observation of coherent precession of magnetization in superfluid 3He A-like phase (CP-A) in aerogel. The coherent precession in bulk 3He A-phase is unstable due to the positive feedback of spin supercurrent to the gradient of phase of precession. It was predicted that the homogeneous precession will be stable if the orbital momentum of the 3He A-phase can be oriented along the magnetic field. We have succeeded to prepare this configuration by emerging 3He in uniaxially deformed anisotropic aerogel. The dissipation rate of coherent precession states in aerogel is much larger than that in bulk 3He B-phase. We propose a mechanism of this dissipation.  相似文献

We consider the Heisenberg model with two- and three-spin exchange interactions on a recursive ladder in a strong magnetic field. Recurrent relations for branches of the partition function of the Ising model with two- and three-spin exchange interactions are deduced. As a recursive lattice the zigzag ladder is chosen. In the antiferromagnetic case magnetization plateau are observed at low temperatures. Lyapunov exponents for the three-dimensional mapping at low temperatures are calculated. It is shown that for some values of two- and three-spin exchange parameters in the antiferromagnetic case the maximum of the Lyapunov exponent approaches zero.  相似文献

The many-sublattice antiferromagnetic NNSS and NNNSSS structures may be stable in metals with isotropic indirect exchange provided it is strongly non-Heisenbergian (e.g. metals with a quasi-one-dimensional electron energy spectrum). This makes it possible to explain other anomalies of metals of the CeSb type by the non-Heisenberg exchange. Under certain conditions it may cause the canted two-sublattice structure to be most energetically favoured in isotropic metals of the GdMg type.  相似文献

The properties of antiferromagnetic (AFM)–ferromagnetic (FM) bilayer have been studied using self-consistent mean-field approximation for Heisenberg Hamiltonian. The perpendicular exchange coupling has been revealed in a bilayer with a compensated interface. For a uniform AFM film a symmetrical hysteresis loop has been calculated, because the transverse instability develops within the AFM film at certain critical value of external magnetic field. On the other hand, shifted hysteresis loop with a finite exchange bias field has been obtained for a non-uniform AFM film consisting of various AFM domains with perpendicular directions of the easy anisotropy axes.  相似文献

The spontaneous magnetization of the sublattice vs temperature in the antiferromagnetic NiO was measured by the neutron diffraction method. Temperature changes of the Bragg peaks (111), (222), (333) and (444) with the wavelengths of neutrons λI = 4.16A?, λII = 2.08A?, λIII = 1.39A? and λIV = 1.04A?, respectively were simultaneously investigated by the neutron time-of-flight spectrometer. On the basis of these measurements, the transition temperature from the antiferromagnetic into the paramagnetic phase was determined, TN = (523 ± 1)°K. The temperature function of the (111) magnetic peak intensity has been accepted to be I ~ (TN?T). According to the present measurements the critical point exponent is 0.33 ± 0.020.04.  相似文献
