The influence of isospin on the excess of evaporation residue cross section over its standard statistical-model value for nuclei ^194pb, ^200Pb, and ^206pb is studied via a Langevin equation coupled with a statistical decay model. The magnitude of this excess for a low-isospin fissioning nucleus is shown to be larger and its dependence on the nuclear viscosity coefficient to be stronger than those of a high-isospin fissioning nucleus. These results suggest that to obtain a more accurate information of viscosity coefficient inside the saddle point by measuring evaporation residue cross sections, we had better choose those compound systems with small isospin.  相似文献

Using relativistic mean field theory, the neutron and the proton density distribution of 56Ni nuclei could be obtained in the ground state and the excited state. Based on the framework of the quantum molecular dynamics model, the 56Ni nuclei have been simulated in ground state and in the neutron or proton excited state. We then used the three different states of 56Ni to collide with the 56Ni in the ground state. To discuss the evolution of the nuclear stopping in different reactions, two kinds of different excited nuclear reactions were studied at different reaction energies and at different impact parameters. Studies have shown that the nuclear stopping of an excited nuclear reaction is sensitive to the isospin-dependent in-medium nucleon-nucleon cross section, compared with the response value of the ground state nuclear reaction. So, it is better for the excited nuclei to extract the isospin dependence of nucleon-nucleon cross section information.  相似文献

We show that a VMD based theoretical input allows for a significantly improved accuracy for the hadronic vacuum polarization of the photon which contributes to the theoretical estimate of the muon g-2. We also show that the only experimental piece of information in the τ decay which cannot be accounted for within this VMD framework is the accepted value for Br(τ→ππvτ), while the T spectum lineshape is in agreement with expectations from e^+e^- annihilations.  相似文献

Using a Langevin model, we calculate post-saddle proton and α-particle multiplicities as a function of the post-saddle dissipation strength (β) for the heavy systems 234Cf, 240Cf, 246Cf and 240U. We find that, with increasing isospin of the system, the sensitivity of post-saddle light charged-particle multiplicities to β decreases considerably and, moreover, for 240U the charged-particle multiplicities are no longer sensitive to β. These results suggest that in order to determine the post-saddle friction strength more accurately by measuring the multiplicities of pre-scission protons and α particles, it is best to populate those heavy compound systems with low isospin.  相似文献

We describe some recent results on isospin breaking corrections which are of relevance for predictions of the leading order hadronic contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment aμ^had.LO when using τ lepton data. When these corrections are applied to the new combined data on the π^±π^0 spectral function, the prediction for aμ^had.LO based on τ lepton data gets closer to the one obtained using e^+e^- data.  相似文献

Several nuclear charge radii had been calculated based on the law of A1/3 and isospin dependence Z1/3 formula which had been used to describe the charge radii data. It is achieved that the isospin dependence Z1/3 formula is superior to the generally accepted A1/3 law through mean root square deviation analysis, that is, the Z1/3 formula is more effective to describe the charge radii data.  相似文献

We have measured the synchrotron radiation photoelectron spectra of monolayer C60on Ag(100), By calculating the intensity ratios between the LUMO bands and the two deeper bands (HOMO and HOMO- 1), we estimate the amount of the charges transferred from Ag(100) to C60 within the range of 1 e to 1.8 e. The results dismay the expectation of surface superconductivity and afford a good reference for further studies of the monolayer C60/Ag(100) system.  相似文献

We study s-wave pion-pion scattering length in lattice QCD for pion masses ranging from 330 MeV to 466 MeV.In the "Asqtad" improved staggered fermion formulation,we measure full ππ four-point correlators for isospin I = 0 and 2 channels,and use chiral perturbation theory at next-to-leading order to extrapolate our simulation results.Extrapolating to the physical pion mass yields scattering lengths as mπaI=2 0 = 0.041 6(2) and m π a I =0 0 = 0.186(2) for isospin I = 2 and 0 channels,respectively.Our lattice simulation for ππ scattering length in I = 0 channel is an exploratory study,where we include the disconnected contribution,and our preliminary result is near to its experimental value.These simulations are carried out with MILC 2 + 1 flavor gauge configurations at lattice spacing a ≈ 0.15 fm.  相似文献

The low-energy level structure and electromagnetic transitions of ^48.50Cr nuclei have been studied using the interacting boson model with isospin (IBM-3). A sequence of isospin excitation bands with isospin T = Tz, Tz 1and Tz 2 has been assigned, and compared with available data. According to this study, the 2^3 and 2^2 states are the lowest mixed symmetry states in ^48Cr and ^50Cr, respectively. In particular, the present calculations suggest that a combination of isospin and F-spin excitation can explain the structure in these nuclei. The transition probabilities between the levels are analysed in terms of isoscalar and isovector decompositions which reveal the detailed nature of the energy levels. The results obtained are in good agreement with recent experimental data.  相似文献

The interacting boson model-3(IBM-3) has been used to study the isospin excitation states and electromagnetic transitions for 36Ar nucleus. The mixed symmetry states and superdeformed band at low spin are also analyzed. The theoretical calculations are in agreement with experimental data, and the 36Ar is superdeformed rotational nucleus close to the SU(3) limit. The present calculations indicate that the 24+ state is the lowest mixed symmetry state and the lowest isospin T=1 excitation state and at about 6.2 MeV, and the bandhead of superdeformed band is 02+ state.  相似文献

By means of an improved ligand-field theory, the "pure electronic" PS and the PS due to EPI of R line of MgO: V^2+ have been calculated, respectively. The calculated results are in very good agreement with the experimental data. The behaviors of the pure electronic PS of R line of MgO:V^2+ and the PS of its R line due to EPI are different. It is the combined effect of them that gives rise to the total PS of R line, which has satisfactorily explained the experimental results. The mixing-degree of |t2^2(^3T1)e^4T2〉 and |t2^3 ^2E〉 in the wavefunetion of R level and its variation with pressure have been calculated and analyzed. The comparison between the feature of R-line PS of MgO:V^2+ and that of MgO:Cr^3+ has been made.  相似文献

The reaction gammap --> pK+K- was studied at Jefferson Lab with photon energies from 1.8 to 3.8 GeV using a tagged photon beam. The goal was to search for a Theta++ pentaquark, a narrow, doubly charged baryon state having strangeness S=+1 and isospin I=1, in the pK+ invariant mass spectrum. No statistically significant evidence of a Theta++ was found. Upper limits on the total and differential cross section for the reaction gammap --> K-Theta++ were obtained in the mass range from 1.5 to 2.0 GeV/c2, with an upper limit for a narrow resonance with a mass M(Theta++) = 1.54 GeV/c2 of about 0.15 nb, 95% C.L.. This result places a stringent upper limit on the Theta++ width Gamma(Theta++) <0.1 MeV/c2.  相似文献

The decay J/psi-->NNpi provides an effective isospin 1/2 filter for the piN system due to isospin conservation. Using 58x10(6) J/psi decays collected with the Beijing Electromagnetic Spectrometer at the Beijing Electron Positron Collider, more than 100 thousand J/psi-->ppi-n+c.c. events are obtained. Besides the two well-known N* peaks at around 1500 MeV/c2 and 1670 MeV/c2, there are two new, clear N* peaks in the ppi invariant mass spectrum around 1360 MeV/c2 and 2030 MeV/c2 with statistical significance of 11sigma and 13sigma, respectively. We identify these as the first direct observation of the N*(1440) peak and a long-sought missing N* peak above 2 GeV/c2 in the piN invariant mass spectrum.  相似文献

The atomic and electronic structures of T1 and In on Si(111) surfaces are investigated using the firstprinciples total energy calculations. Total energy optimizations show that the energetically favored structure is 1/3 ML T1 adsorbed at the T4 sites on Si(111) surfaces. The adsorption energy difference of one T1 adatom between (√3 × √3) and (1 × 1) is less than that of each In adatom. The DOS indicates that TI 6p and Si 3p electrons play a very important role in the formation of the surface states. It is concluded that the bonding of TI adatoms on Si(111) surfaces is mainly polar covalent, which is weaker than that of In on Si(111). So T1 atom is more easy to be migrated than In atom in the same external electric field and the structures of T1 on Si(111) is prone to switch between (√3 × √3) and (1 × 1).  相似文献

Physical designing of the pre-chopper in CSNS LEBT is carried out, which includes the deflecting voltage, the length and the width of the deflecting plates, and the gap between the deflecting plates. The most outstanding feature of the design is that both the gap and the width vary with the beam envelope size. So both the requried deflecting voltage and the loaded capacitance are lowered. In order to avoid destruction of the space charge neutralization by the pre-chopper in the whole LEBT, an electron-trapping electrode is arranged to confine the electrostatic field of the pre-chopper to the local area. To examine the reliability of the pre-chopping design in CSNS LEBT, a similar pre-chopping design in ADS RFQ LEBT is set up and an experiment on the pre-chopper is prepared. 3-dimensional simulations are carried out to determine the loaded capacitance and the applied voltage of the electron-trapping electrode.  相似文献

利用同位旋相关的量子分子动力学模型研究了中能重离子碰撞中同位旋分馏过程.研究结果表明自由粒子中质比与碎片中质比的比值即同位旋分馏强度灵敏地依赖于对称势,而对同位旋相关核子–核子碰撞截面的依赖很弱.同位旋分馏对对称势的灵敏主要来自于气相部分,而液相部分对对称势不够灵敏.气相部分灵敏地依赖于对称势是直接造成同位旋分馏强度对对称势灵敏的主要原因.同时还讨论了各种液相部分的取法,其结果表明不同取法对以上结论的影响不大.因此理论结果与实验数据可以直接比较从而提取对称势的知识.并对引发同位旋分馏的动力学的起因进行了分析和讨论.  相似文献

The interacting boson model with isospin (IBM-3) is applied to study the band structure and electromagnetic transition properties of the low-lying states in the cross-conjugate nuclei 44Ti and S2Fe. The isospin excitation states with T=0, 1 and 2 are identified and compared with available data. The E2 and M1 matrix elements for the low-lying states have been investigated. According to this study, the 2+3 state is the lowest mixed symmetry state in the cross-conjugate nuclei 44Ti and 52Fe. The excitation energy of the second 0+2 and 2+2 states with T=0 in the nucleus 52Fe are identified. The agreement between the model calculations and data is reasonably good.  相似文献

A readout electronics system used for space cosmic-ray charge measurement for multi-channel silicon detectors is introduced in this paper, including performance measurements. A 64-channel charge sensitive ASIC (VA140) from the IDEAS company is used. With its features of low power consumption, low noise, large dynamic range, and high integration, it can be used in future particle detecting experiments based on silicon detectors.  相似文献

The betatron matching of a rotationally asymmetric beam in space charge dominated low-energy beam transports (LEBTs) where solenoids are used for the transverse matching has been studied. For better understanding, the coupling elements of a beam matrix are interpreted in special forms that are products of a term defined by the Larmor rotation angle and another by the difference between the beam matrix elements in the two transverse planes. The coupling form originally derived from the rotationally symmetric field in solenoids still holds when taking into account the rotationally asymmetric space charge forces that are due to the unequal emittance in the two transverse planes. It is shown in this paper that when an LEBT mainly comprising solenoids transports a beam having unequal emittance in the two transverse planes and the linear space charge force is taken into account, the initial Twiss parameters can be modified to obtain the minimum and equal emittance at the LEBT exit. The TRACE3D calculations also prove the principle. However, when quadrupoles that are also rotationally asymmetric are involved in between solenoids, the coupling between the two transverse planes becomes more complicated and the emittance increase is usually unavoidable. A matching example using the CSNS (China Spallation Neutron Source) LEBT conditions is also presented.  相似文献
