The first ansa-aminoborane N-TMPN-CH2C6H4B(C6F5)2 (where TMPNH is 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidinyl) which is able to reversibly activate H2 through an intramolecular mechanism is synthesized. This new substance makes use of the concept of molecular tweezers where the active N and B centers are located close to each other so that one H2 molecule can fit in this void and be activated. Because of the fixed geometry of this ansa-ammonium-borate it forms a short N-H...H-B dihydrogen bond of 1.78 A as determined by X-ray analysis. Therefore, the bound hydrogen can be released above 100 degrees C. In addition, the short H...H contact and the N-H...H (154 degrees) and B-H...H (125 degrees) angles show that the dihydrogen interaction in N-TMPNH-CH2C6H4BH(C6F5)2 is partially covalent in nature. As a basis for discussing the mechanism, quantum chemical calculations are performed and it is found that the energy needed for splitting H2 can arise from the Coulomb attraction between the resulting ionic fragments, or "Coulomb pays for Heitler-London". The air- and moisture-stable N-TMPNH-CH2C6H4BH(C6F5)2 is employed in the catalytic reduction of nonsterically demanding imines and enamines under mild conditions (110 degrees C and 2 atm of H2) to give the corresponding amines in high yields. 相似文献

The reactions between a series of thiophene-based imines with [(η(6)-C(6)H(6))RuCl(μ-Cl)](2), in a basic medium, and in MeCN give a family of ruthenacycles of stoichiometry [Ru(C^N)(NCMe)(4)]PF(6) (C^N = orthometalated thiopheneimine). In these species, the C-H activation process is produced in most cases at the thiophene ring. When two C-H bonds are competing (thiophene vs aryl), the cyclometalation can be driven regioselectively to the thiophene unit or to the aryl ring as a function of the location of the iminic C=N bond. Cyclometalation can also be oriented to positions 2 or 3 of the thiophene depending on the situation of the imine in the heterocycle (3 or 2, respectively). In all studied cases, the η(6)-C(6)H(6) ligand was substituted by acetonitrile. The X-ray structures of two representative complexes have been determined. These thiophene-based metallacycles react with iodine under very mild conditions affording, after hydrolysis, substituted 3-iodo-2-formyl(benzo)thiophenes or substituted 2-iodo-3-formyl(benzo)thiophenes, as a function of the organometallic precursor. 相似文献

To be or not to bifluoride: Two synthetic pathways to unprecedented N-heterocyclic carbene copper(I) bifluoride complexes have been developed. Catalytic tests demonstrated that copper(I) bifluorides are very efficient catalysts, which do not require any additional activating agent. The first Cu-catalyzed diastereoselective allylation of (R)-N-tert-butanesulfinyl aldimines was also established. The one-electron oxidation reaction of tris[di-tert-butyl(methyl)silyl]silyl and -germyl anions with dichlorogermylene-dioxane complex results in the formation of stable tris[di-tert-butyl(methyl)silyl]silyl and -germyl radicals 1 and 2, representing the first isolable radical species of heavier Group 14 elements lacking stabilization by conjugation with pi-bonds. The crystal structures of both silyl and germyl radicals 1 and 2 showed a completely planar geometry around the radical centers. The ESR spectra of 1 and 2 showed strong signals with characteristic satellites due to the coupling with the 29Si and 73Ge nuclei. The small values of the hyperfine coupling constants a(29Si) and a(73Ge) clearly indicate the pi-character of both radicals, corresponding to a planar geometry and sp2 hybridization of the radical centers. Both 1 and 2 easily undergo halogenation reactions with carbon tetrachloride, 1,2-dibromoethane, and benzyl bromide to form the corresponding halosilanes and halogermanes. 相似文献

Six new ruthenium complexes bearing a bidentate (κ(2)O,C)-isopropoxy-indenylidene and PPh(3) or PCy(3) ligands have been synthesized and characterized by (1)H, (13)C NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography. Some of these complexes were synthesized in dimethyl carbonate, a green solvent that was recently shown to be suitable for several catalytic transformations including olefin metathesis. Reactions of lithium complexes of the bulky guanidinates [{(Dip)N}(2)CNR(2)](-) (Dip=C(6)H(3)iPr(2)-2,6; R=C(6)H(11) (Giso(-)) or iPr (Priso(-)), with NiBr(2) have afforded the nickel(II) complexes [{Ni(L)(μ-Br)}(2)] (L=Giso(-) or Priso(-)), the latter of which was crystallographically characterized. Reduction of [{Ni(Priso)(μ-Br)}(2)] with elemental potassium in benzene or toluene afforded the diamagnetic species [{Ni(Priso)}(2)(μ-C(6)H(5)R)] (R=H or Me), which were shown, by X-ray crystallographic studies, to possess nonplanar bridging arene ligands that are partially reduced. A similar reduction of [{Ni(Priso)(μ-Br)}(2)] in cyclohexane yielded a mixture of the isomeric complexes [{Ni(μ-κ(1)-N-,η(2)-Dip-Priso)}(2)] and [{Ni(μ-κ(2)-N,N'-Priso)}(2)], both of which were structurally characterized. These complexes were also formed through arene elimination processes if [{Ni(Priso)}(2)(μ-C(6)H(5)R)] (R=H or Me) were dissolved in hexane. In that solvent, diamagnetic [{Ni(μ-κ(1)-N-,η(2)-Dip-Priso)}(2)] was found to slowly convert to paramagnetic [{Ni(μ-κ(2)-N,N'-Priso)}(2)], suggesting that the latter is the thermodynamic isomer. Computational analysis of a model of [{Ni(μ-κ(2)-N,N'-Priso)}(2)] showed it to have a Ni-Ni bond that has a multiconfigurational electronic structure. An analogous copper(I) complex [{Cu(μ-κ(2)-N,N'-Giso)}(2)] was prepared, structurally authenticated, and found, by a theoretical study, to have a negligible Cu···Cu bonding interaction. The reactivity of [{Ni(Priso)}(2)(μ-C(6)H(5)Me)] and [{Ni(μ-κ(2)-N,N'-Priso)}(2)] towards a range of small molecules was examined and this gave rise to diamagnetic complexes [{Ni(Priso)(μ-CO)}(2)] and [{Ni(Priso)(μ-N(3))}(2)]. Taken as a whole, this study highlights similarities between bulky guanidinate ligands and the β-diketiminate ligand class, but shows the former to have greater coordinative flexibility. 相似文献

A new class of mixed aminotroponimine salicylaldimine ligands and their corresponding cobalt(II) complexes are reported. This work expands the family of cobalt(II) aminotroponiminato complexes to include salicylaldiminate and derivatized fluorescein moieties. The H2iPrSATI-n (n = 3, 4) ligands 3 and 4, respectively, contain an aminotroponimine moiety and a salicylaldimine fragment connected with an alkyl linker. In the H2iPrFATI-n (n = 3, 4) ligands 5 and 6, a derivatized fluorescein replaces the salicylaldimine fragment. The cobalt(II) complexes [Co(iPrSATI-3)] (7) and [Co2(iPrSATI-4)(2)] (9) were prepared and structurally characterized. The reaction of NO with both complexes ultimately results in the formation of a dinitrogen-containing species. The mononitrosyl, [Co(iPrSATI-3)(NO)] (8), was isolated and characterized. The reactivity of [Co(iPrFATI-3)] (10) and [Co(iPrFATI-4)] (11) with NO mimics that observed for the salicylaldimine derivatives, as monitored by solution IR spectroscopy. When followed by fluorescence spectroscopy, reaction of 11 with NO evoked a 3-fold increase in emission intensity after 22 h. 相似文献

The imido(meso-tetra-p-tolylporphyrinato)molybdenum(IV) complexes, (TTP)Mo=NR, where R = C6H5 (1a), p-CH3C6H4 (1b), 2,4,6-(CH3)3C6H2 (1c), and 2,6-(i-Pr)2C6H4 (1d), can be prepared by the reaction of (TTP)MoCl2 with 2 equiv of LiNHR in toluene. Upon treatment of the imido complexes with pyridine derivatives, NC5H4-p-X (X = CH3, CH(CH3)2, C[triple bond]N), new six-coordinate complexes, (TTP)Mo=NR.NC5H4-p-X, were observed. The reaction between the molybdenum imido complexes, (TTP)Mo=NC6H5 or (TTP)Mo=NC6H4CH3, and (TTP)Ti(eta2-PhC[triple bond]CPh) resulted in complete imido group transfer and two-electron redox of the metal centers to give (TTP)Mo(eta2-PhC[triple bond]CPh) and (TTP)Ti=NC6H5 or (TTP)Ti=NC6H4CH3. 相似文献

Treatment of mixed chloride tetramethylaluminate polynuclear clusters {Cp*Y[(mu-Me)2AlMe2](mu-Cl)}2 and {Cp*6La6[(mu-Me)3AlMe]4(mu3-Cl)2(mu2-Cl)6} with toluene/THF solutions produces "aluminum-free" methylidene complexes [Cp*3Ln3(mu-Cl)3(mu3-Cl)(mu3-CH2)(THF)3] (Ln = Y, La). The trinuclear methylidene complexes are isostructural in the solid state and feature a sterically well-shielded Schrock-type nucleophilic CH22- unit, which is prone to Tebbe-like methylenation reactions with ketones and aldehydes. The previously known anion [(C6F5)3B(mu-OH)B(C6F5)3]- (2) has been prepared by a two-step procedure, involving deprotonation of (C6F5)3BOH2 to give [B(C6F5)3OH]- (1), followed by addition of B(C6F5)3. The solution structure and the dynamics of 2 have been investigated by 1H and 19F NMR spectroscopy. The reaction of [NHEt3]2 with NEt3 resulted in the formation of [NHEt3]+ [(C6F5)3BOH]-, [NHEt3]+ [(C6F5)3BH]-, and (C6F5)3B- (CH2CH=N+ Et2). This indicates that in the presence of a nucleophile anion 2 can dissociate to B(C6F5)3 and 1. The reaction of [HDMAN]2 with 1,8-bis(dimethylamino)naphthalene (DMAN) confirmed this trend. In the presence of water, 2 transformed into the adduct [(C6F5)3BO(H)H...O(H)B(C6F5)3]- (3), containing the borate 1 hydrogen-bonded to a water molecule coordinated to B(C6F5)3. The same compound is formed by treating (C6F5)3BOH2 with 0.5 equiv of a base. A competition study established that for 1 the Lewis acid-base interaction with B(C6F5)3 is about 5 times preferred over H-bonding to (C6F5)3BOH2. The X-ray single-crystal analysis of [2-methyl-3H-indolium]3 provided the first experimental observation of an asymmetric H-bond in the [H3O2]- moiety, the measured O-H and H...O bond distances being significantly different [1.14(2) vs 1.26(2) A]. The reaction of NEt3 with an equimolar mixture of B(C6F5)3 and bis(pentafluorophenyl)borinic acid, (C6F5)2BOH, afforded the novel borinatoborate salt [NHEt3]+ [(C6F5)3BOB(C6F5)2]- ([NHEt3]4). X-ray diffraction showed that the B-O bond distances are significantly shorter than in [(C6F5)3B(mu-OH)B(C6F5)3]-. Variable-temperature 19F NMR revealed high mobility of the five aryl rings, at variance with the more crowded anion 2. 2D NMR correlation experiments showed that in CD2Cl2 the two anions [(C6F5)3BOH]- and [(C6F5)3BH]- form tight ion pairs with [NHEt3]+, in which the NH proton establishes a conventional (BO...HN) or an unconventional (BH...HN), respectively, hydrogen bond with the anion. The diborate anions 2-4, on the contrary, gave loose ion pairs with the ammonium cation, due both to the delocalized anionic charge and to the more sterically encumbered position of the oxygen atoms that should act as H-bond acceptors. 相似文献

Mononuclear rhodium complexes with reactive olefin ligands, supported on MgO powder, were synthesized by chemisorption of Rh(C(2)H(4))(2)(C(5)H(7)O(2)) and characterized by infrared (IR), (13)C MAS NMR, and extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) spectroscopies. IR spectra show that the precursor adsorbed on MgO with dissociation of acetylacetonate ligand from rhodium, with the ethylene ligands remaining bound to the rhodium, as confirmed by the NMR spectra. EXAFS spectra give no evidence of Rh-Rh contributions, indicating that site-isolated mononuclear rhodium species formed on the support. The EXAFS data also show that the mononuclear complex was bonded to the support by two Rh-O bonds, at a distance of 2.18 A, which is typical of group 8 metals bonded to oxide supports. This is the first simple and nearly uniform supported mononuclear rhodium-olefin complex, and it appears to be a close analogue of molecular catalysts for olefin hydrogenation in solution. Correspondingly, the ethylene ligands bonded to rhodium in the supported complex were observed to react with H(2) to form ethane, and the supported complex was catalytically active for the ethylene hydrogenation at 298 K. The ethylene ligands also underwent facile exchange with C(2)D(4), and exposure of the sample to carbon monoxide led to the formation of rhodium gem dicarbonyls. 相似文献

Using a new N(4)-donor chelate ligand having a mixture of hydrophobic phenyl and hydrogen-bond-donor appendages, a trinuclear nickel(II) complex of the doubly deprotonated form of 2-hydroxy-1,3-diphenylpropane-1,3-dione was isolated, characterized (X-ray crystallography, elemental analysis, UV-vis, (1)H NMR, FTIR, and magnetic moment measurement), and evaluated for O(2) reactivity. This complex, [(6-NA-6-Ph(2)TPANi)(2)(mu-PhC(O)C(O)C(O)Ph)(2)Ni](ClO(4))(2) (4), has two terminal pseudooctahedral Ni(II) centers supported by the tetradentate chelate ligand and a central square-planar Ni(II) ion ligated by oxygen atoms of two bridging enediolate ligands. In CH(3)CN, 4 exhibits a deep orange/brown color and lambda(max) = 463 nm (epsilon = 16 000 M(-1)cm(-1)). The room temperature magnetic moment of 4, determined by Evans method, is mu(eff) = 5.3(2) mu(B). This is consistent with the presence of two noninteracting high-spin Ni(II) centers, a diamagnetic central Ni(II) ion, and an overall quintet ground state. Exposure of a CH(3)CN solution of 4 to O(2) results in the rapid loss of the orange/brown color to give a green solution. The products identified from this reaction are [(kappa(3)-6-NA-6-Ph(2)TPA)Ni(O(2)Ph)(H(2)O)]ClO(4) (5), benzil [PhC(O)C(O)Ph], and CO. Identification of 5 was achieved via its independent synthesis and a comparison of its (1)H NMR and mass spectral features with those of the 6-NA-6-Ph(2)TPA-containing product generated upon reaction of 4 with O(2). The independently prepared sample of 5 was characterized by X-ray crystallography, elemental analysis, UV-vis, mass spectrometry, and FTIR. The O(2) reactivity of 4 has relevance to the active-site chemistry of Ni(II)-containing acireductone dioxygenase (Ni(II)ARD). 相似文献

A series of lithium salts of boryl anion, boryllithiums, were synthesized and characterized by NMR spectroscopy and crystallographic analysis. In addition to the parent boryllithium compound 35a, structural modification of boryllithium, using saturated C-C and benzannulated C=C backbones in the five-membered ring and mesityl groups on the nitrogen atoms, also allowed generation of the corresponding boryllithium. The solid state structures of boryllithium showed that the boron-lithium bond is polarized where the boron atom is anionic in all (35a x DME)(2), 35a x (THF)(2), 35b x (THF)(2), and 35c x (THF)(2) when compared to the structures of hydroborane 38a-c and optimized free boryl anion opt-46a-c. Dissolution of the isolated single crystals of (35a x DME)(2) and 35a x (THF)(2) in THF-d(8) showed that the boron-lithium bond remained in solution and free DME or THF molecules were observed. Temperature-dependent (11)B NMR chemical shift changes of 35a were observed in THF-d(8) or methylcyclohexane-d(14), suggesting a change of chemical shift anisotropy around the boron center. The HOMO of opt-35a x (THF)(2) had a lone pair character on the boron atom, as observed for phenyllithium, whereas the HOMO of hydroborane 38a corresponds to the pi-orbital of the boron-containing five-membered heterocycle. The polarity of the B-Li bond, estimated by AIM analysis, was similar to that of alkyllithium. Boryllithiums 35a and 35b behave as a base or a boron nucleophile in reaction with organic electrophiles via deprotonation, S(N)2-type substitution, halogen-metal exchange or electron-transfer, 1,2-addition to a carbonyl group, and S(N)Ar reaction. In the case of the reaction with CO(2), intramolecular cyclization followed by CO elimination from borylcarboxylate anion and subsequent protonation gave hydroxyboranes 64a and 64b. The characters of the carbonyl groups in the borylcarbonyl compounds 60a, 60b, 61, 62, and 63a, which were obtained from the reaction of boryllithiums 35a and 35b, were investigated by X-ray crystallography, IR, and (13)C NMR spectroscopy to show that the boryl substituent weakened the C=O bond when compared to carbon substituted analogues. 相似文献
