We investigate the unidirectional transmission behaviour of an asymmetrically confined photonic crystal (PC) defect with Kerr nonlinearity. Basically, the unidirectional transmission originates from the strong dependence of the threshold input power for the sharp increase of transmission on the launch direction of the input wave. This can be well explained in the framework of the coupled mode theory. Our theoretical analysis reveals the existence of an upper limit for the transmission contrast when such a single PC defect is employed. This is supported by the simulation results based on the nonlinear finite-difference time-domain technique.  相似文献

The vacuum Rabi splitting and Kerr effect are investigated theoretically in a hybrid spin–magnon–photon system, where the nitrogen-vacancy center in diamond driven by two light fields is coupled to a spherical micromagnet embedded in a superconducting coplanar waveguide resonator. The results indicate that the phenomenon of the Mollow triplet and vacuum Rabi splitting can appear by controlling the spin–magnon coupling and magnon–photon coupling. It is shown that the probe absorption spectrum can be adjusted effectively via the pump frequency detuning. Moreover, it is demonstrated that the optical Kerr effect can be tuned by changing the Rabi frequency. This work may provide a possibility for the applications in quantum information processing and quantum sensing of magnetic signal.  相似文献

We study and examine the Goos–Hänchen shifts of a propagating probe light field in a four-level tripodtype cold and hot atomic medium. The behavior of Goos–Hänchen shifts is studied in reflection and transmission beams in the presence of the coherent Kerr effect and the Doppler broadening effect. We observe that these shifts can be controlled by the relative propagation direction of the control field to that of the probe field.  相似文献

We propose a scheme for implementing the deterministic quantum information splitting (QIS) of an arbitrary three-atom state in cavity QED. In the scheme, a four-atom χ-state and a three-atom GHZ state are used as quantum channel. In comparison with the QIS scheme by using the same quantum channel (Luo and Deng in Quantum. Inf. Process. 12:773, 2013), our scheme does not involve joint Bell-state measurements, one only needs to perform the single-atom measurements. Our scheme is not sensitive to both the cavity decay and the atom radiation, which is of importance in view of experiment.  相似文献

A scheme for constructing quasi-classical concentrated solutions of the Fokker–Planck–Kolmogorov equation with local nonlinearity is presented on the basis of the complex WKB-Maslov method. Formal, asymptotic in a series expansion parameter D, D 0 solutions of the Cauchy problem for this equation are constructed with a power accuracy O(D 3/2). A set of the Hamilton–Ehrenfest equations (a set of equations for average and centered moments) derived in this work is of considerable importance in construction of these solutions. An approximate Green's function is constructed and a nonlinear principle of superposition is formulated in the class of semiclassical concentrated solutions of the Fokker–Planck–Kolmogorov equations.  相似文献

The 1/2 spin fermions tunneling at the horizon of n-dimensional Kerr–Anti-de Sitter black hole with one rotational parameter is researched via semi-classical approximation method, and the Hawking temperature and fermions tunneling rate are obtained in this Letter. Using a new method, the semi-classical Hamilton–Jacobi equation is gotten from the Dirac equation in this Letter, and the work makes several quantum tunneling theories more harmonious.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the interaction between the two-level atom and a bimodal cavity field, namely, two-mode Jaynes–Cummings model when the atom and the modes are initially in the atomic superposition state and two-mode squeezed vacuum state, respectively. For this system we investigate the atomic inversion, linear entropy and atomic Wehrl entropy. We show that there is a connection between all these quantities. Also we prove that the atomic Wehrl entropy exhibits behaviors similar to those of the linear entropy and the von Neumann entropy. Moreover, we show that the bipartite exhibits periodical disentanglement and derive the explicit forms of the states of the atom and the modes at these values of the interaction times.  相似文献

We report some novel dynamical phenomena of dissipative solitons supported by introducing an asymmetric wedge-shaped potential(just as a sharp ‘razor') into the complex Ginzburg–Landau equation with the cubicquintic nonlinearity. The potentials corresponding to a local refractive index modulation with breaking symmetry can be realized in an active optical medium with respective expanding antiwaveguiding structures. Using the razor potential acting on a central dissipative soliton, possible outcomes of asymmetric and single-side splitting of dissipative solitons are achieved with setting different strengths and steepness of the potentials. The results can potentially be used to design a multi-route splitter for light beams.  相似文献

Electron–nuclear double resonance (ENDOR) spectroscopy provides useful information on hyperfine interactions between nuclear magnetic moments and the magnetic moment of an unpaired electron spin. Because the hyperfine coupling constant reacts quite sensitively to polarity changes in the direct vicinity of the nucleus under consideration, ENDOR spectroscopy can be favorably used for the detection of subtle protein–cofactor interactions. A number of pulsed ENDOR studies on flavoproteins have been published during the past few years; most of them were designed to characterize the flavin cofactor by means of its protonation state, or to detect individual protein–cofactor interactions. The aim of this study is to compare the pulsed ENDOR spectra from different flavoproteins in terms of variations of characteristic proton hyperfine values. The general concept is to observe limits of possible influences on the cofactor’s electronic state by surrounding amino acids. Furthermore, we compare ENDOR data obtained from in vivo experiments with in vitro data to emphasize the potential of the method for gaining molecular information in complex media.  相似文献

The conservation laws for the (1+2)-dimensional Zakharov-Kuznetsov modified equal width (ZK-MEW) equation with power law nonlinearity are constructed by using Noether's approach through an interesting method of increasing the order of this equation. With the aid of an obtained conservation law, the generalized double reduction theorem is applied to this equation. It can be shown that the reduced equation is a second order nonlinear ODE.
