We propose two nutrient-phytoplankton models with instantaneous and time delayed recycling, investigate the dynamics and examine the responses to model complexities. Instead of the familiar specific uptake rate and growth rate functions, we assume only that the nutrient uptake and phytoplankton growth rate functions are positive, increasing and bounded above. We use geometrical and analytical methods to find conditions for the existence of none, one, or at most two positive steady states and analyze the stability properties of each of these equilibria. With the variation of parameters, the system may lose its stability and bifurcation may occur. We study the occurrence of Hopf bifurcation and the possibility of stability switching. Numerical simulations illustrate the analytical results and provide further insight into the dynamics of the models, biological interpretations are given.  相似文献

In this paper, we have studied the effect of time delay on conservation of forestry biomass by proposing a non-linear mathematical model. In the modeling process, it is assumed that the density of forestry biomass depletes due to the presence of human population and it is being conserved by applying some technological efforts. The analysis of model shows that the density of forestry biomass may be conserved if the technological effort is applied within the appropriate time. A longer delay in applying technological effort for its conservation destabilizes the system. The direction of Hopf bifurcation and the stability of the bifurcating periodic solutions are determined by applying the normal form theory and the center manifold theorem. Numerical simulations are given to illustrate the mathematical results.  相似文献

考虑一个时变需求环境下集成多级供应链问题,在有限的规划时间内销售商以固定周期订货,而生产商以不同的周期生产,目的是寻找销售商最优的订货周期和生产商最佳的生产策略,从而使供应链系统的总运营成本最少.建立了该问题的混合整数非线性规划模型,求解该模型分为两步:先求对应一个订货周期的最佳生产策略,再求最优的订货周期,第一步用到了图论里求最短路方法.给出了两个步骤的算法和程序,实验证明它们是有效的.通过算例对模型进行了分析,研究了各参数对最优解及最小费用的影响.  相似文献

In this paper, the approximation technique proposed in Breda et al. (2005) [1] for converting a linear system of constant-coefficient delay differential equations (DDEs) into a system of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) using pseudospectral differencing is extended to linear and nonlinear systems of DDEs with time-periodic coefficients. The Chebyshev spectral continuous time approximation (ChSCTA) technique is used to study the stability of first and second-order constant coefficient DDEs, a delayed system with a cubic nonlinearity and parametric sinusoidal excitation, the delayed Mathieu’s equation, and delayed systems with two fixed delays. In all the examples, the stability and time response obtained from ChSCTA show good agreement with either analytical results, or the results obtained before by other reliable approximation methods. The “spectral accuracy” convergence behavior of Chebyshev spectral collocation shown in Trefethen (2000) [2] which the proposed technique possesses is compared to the convergence properties of finite difference-based continuous time approximation for constant-coefficient DDEs proposed recently in Sun (2009) [3] and Sun and Song (2009) [4].  相似文献

A discrete three trophic level food chain model with ratio-dependent Michaelis-Menten type functional response is investigated. It is shown that under some appropriate conditions the system is permanent. The results indicate that, to make the species coexist in the long run, it is a surefire strategy to keep the death rate of the predator and top predator rather small and the intrinsic growth rate of the prey relatively large.  相似文献

A class of three level food chain system is studied. With the theory of delay equations and Hopf bifurcation, the conditions of the positive equilibrium undergoing Hopf bifurcation is given regarding τ as the parameter. The stability and direction of Hopf bifurcation are determined by applying the normal form theory and the center manifold argument, and numerical simulations are performed to illustrate the analytical results.  相似文献

An attempt has been made to understand the role of top predator interference and gestation delay on the dynamics of a three species food chain model involving intermediate and top predator populations. Interaction between the prey and an intermediate predator follows the Volterra scheme (with Holling type IV functional response), while that between the top predator and its prey depends on Beddington–DeAngelis type functional response. Stability switches and Hopf-bifurcation occurs when the delay crosses some critical value. Model system exhibits irregular behavior when the interference is high or gestation period is larger than its critical value. Furthermore, the direction of Hopf-bifurcation and the stability of the bifurcating periodic solutions are determined using the center manifold theorem and normal form theory. Computer simulations have been carried out to illustrate the analytical findings. Different diagnostic tests, like, initial sensitivity, Lyapunov exponent, recurrence plot tests ensure the complex dynamical behavior of the model system. Finally, we observed the subcritical Hopf-bifurcation phenomena in the designed model system and the bifurcating periodic solution is unstable for the considered set of parameter values.  相似文献

In this paper, we analyze the robustness of global exponential stable stochastic delayed systems subject to the uncertainty in parameter matrices. Given a globally exponentially stable systems, the problem to be addressed here is how much uncertainty in parameter matrices the systems can withstand to be globally exponentially stable. The upper bounds of the parameter uncertainty intensity are characterized by using transcendental equation for the systems to sustain global exponential stability. Moreover, we prove theoretically that, the globally exponentially stable systems, if additive uncertainties in parameter matrices are smaller than the upper bounds arrived at here, then the perturbed systems are guaranteed to also be globally exponentially stable. Two numerical examples are provided here to illustrate the theoretical results.  相似文献

In this paper, the problem of nonlinear multiagent system with reliable control is taken into account. The prescribed system consists of additive time-varying delay, actuator faults with both linear and nonlinear functions. The main focus of this paper is to design a reliable control which guarantees the stability and consensus condition of the proposed system. Actuator faults with linear and nonlinear functions are considered in the control input. From the implementation of integral inequality, the linear matrix inequality format is derived by constructing the suitable Lyapunov Krasovskii functional for the specified system. In this paper, we study a diffusive three-species ratio-dependent food chain model, using differential inequality, to obtain sufficient conditions that ensure the permanence of the system and the extinction of predator species. In this paper, the effects of top predator interference on the dynamics of a food chain model involving an intermediate and a top predator are considered. It is assumed that the interaction between the prey and intermediate predator follows the Volterra scheme, while that between the top predator and its favorite food depends on Beddington–DeAngelis type of functional response. The boundedness of the system, existence of an attracting set, local and global stability of non-negative equilibrium points are established. Number of the bifurcation and Lyapunov exponent bifurcation diagrams is established. It is observed that, the model has different types of attracting sets including chaos. Moreover, increasing the top predator interference stabilizes the system, while increasing the normalization of the residual reduction in the top predator population destabilizes the system.  相似文献

In this paper, an efficient approach of modeling and control is presented for Multi-Rate Networked Control System (MRNCS) with considering long time delay. Firstly, the system is modeled as a switched system with a random switching signal which is subject to random networked-induced delay. For this, time delay is defined as a Markov chain and the model of MRNCS is obtained as a Markovian jump linear system. Afterward, a dynamic output feedback controller is designed for output tracking as well as stabilization of closed-loop system. The modeling and control of MRNCS are presented for two structures. At first, a new model of single-side MRNCS is proposed and a mode-independent controller is designed for stabilizing the system. Then the proposed modeling method is generalized to double-side MRNCS and by introducing the Set of Possible Modes (SPM) concept, an SPM-dependent controller is proposed for double-side MRNCS. To show the effectiveness of the proposed methods, some numerical results are provided on the quadruple-tank process.  相似文献

A three-species Lotka-Volterra type food chain model with stage structure and time delays is investigated. It is assumed in the model that the individuals in each species may belong to one of two classes: the immatures and the matures, the age to maturity is presented by a time delay, and that the immature predators (immature top predators) do not have the ability to feed on prey (predator). By using some comparison arguments, we first discuss the permanence of the model. By means of an iterative technique, a set of easily verifiable sufficient conditions are established for the global attractivity of the nonnegative equilibria of the model.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce and study a model of a Monod–Haldene type food chain chemostat with periodically varying substrate. We investigate the subsystem with substrate and prey and study the stability of the periodic solutions, which are the boundary periodic solutions of the system. The stability analysis of the boundary periodic solution yields an invasion threshold. By use of standard techniques of bifurcation theory, we prove that above this threshold there are periodic oscillations in substrate, prey and predator. Furthermore, we numerically simulate a model with sinusoidal input, by comparing bifurcation diagrams with different bifurcation parameters, we can see that the periodic system shows two kinds of bifurcations, whose are period-doubling and period-halfing.  相似文献
