A typical magnetic-resonance scheme employs a static bias magnetic field and an orthogonal driving magnetic field oscillating at the Larmor frequency, at which the atomic polarization precesses around the static magnetic field. Here we demonstrate both theoretically and experimentally the variations of the resonance condition and the spin precession dynamics resulting from the parametric modulation of the bias field. We show that the driving magnetic field with the frequency detuned by different harmonics of the parametric modulation frequency can lead to resonance as well. Also, a series of frequency sidebands centered at the driving frequency and spaced by the parametric modulation frequency can be observed in the precession of the atomic polarization. We further show that the resonant amplitudes of the sidebands can be controlled by varying the ratio between the amplitude and the frequency of the parametric modulation. These effects could be used in different atomic magnetometry applications.  相似文献

Brown运动中,环境分子的吸附能力使Brown粒子的质量存在涨落. 本文将这一质量涨落建模为对称双态噪声, 以考察其对系统共振行为的影响. 首先,利用Shapiro-Loginov公式和Laplace变换推导系统稳态响应振幅的解析表达式, 并根据相应数值结果, 研究系统的共振行为; 然后, 通过仿真实验对理论与实际的符合情况进行对比分析, 验证理论结果的可靠性及其对实际应用的指导意义. 理论结果和仿真实验均表明: 1) 系统稳态响应为频率与外部驱动相同的简谐振动; 2) 稳态响应振幅随外部驱动频率、振子质量、噪声强度及相关率的变化分别相应出现真实共振、参数诱导共振、随机共振现象; 3) 质量涨落噪声导致系统共振形式出现多样化现象, 包括单峰共振、单峰单谷共振、双峰共振等. 关键词: 质量涨落噪声 随机共振 双峰共振  相似文献

We experimentally demonstrate the observation of macroscopic resonant tunneling(MRT) phenomenon of the macroscopic distinct flux states in a radio frequency superconducting quantum interference device(rf-SQUID) under a singlecycle sinusoidal driving.The population of the qubit exhibits interference patterns corresponding to resonant tunneling peaks between states in the adjacent potential wells.The dynamics of the qubit depends significantly on the amplitude,frequency,and initial phase of the driving signal.We do the numerical simulations considering the intra-well and interwell relaxation mechanism,which agree well with the experimental results.This approach provides an effective way to manipulate the qubit population by adjusting the parameters of the external driving field.  相似文献

The analysis is carried out of the response of the center of gravity (dipole moment) of the distribution of noninteracting thermalized nonlinear oscillators to a sinusoidal driving force. Heat bath coupling is modeled by damping and noise. The driving is weak, but the frequency is resonant, so that there is a nonlinear resonance in the phase space. The response has a linear part that can be obtained from the perturbation analysis and a small nonlinear correction that is specific for the resonant structure.  相似文献

We consider the dynamics of a dilute, magnetically-trapped one-dimensional Bose–Einstein condensate whose scattering length is periodically modulated with a frequency that linearly increases in time. We show that the response frequency of the condensate locks to its eigenfrequency for appropriate ranges of the parameters. The locking sets in at resonance, i.e., when the effective frequency of driving field is equal to the eigenfrequency, and is accompanied by a sudden increase of the oscillations amplitude due to resonant energy transfer. We show that the dynamics of the condensate is given, to leading order, by a driven harmonic oscillator on the time-dependent part of the width of the condensate. This equation captures accurately both the locking and the resonant energy transfer as it is evidenced by comparison with direct numerical simulations of original Gross–Pitaevskii equation.  相似文献

The influence of fluctuations and periodical driving on temporal characteristics of short overdamped Josephson junctions is analyzed. We obtain the standard deviation of the switching time in the presence of a dichotomous driving force for arbitrary noise intensity and in the frequency range of practical interest. For sinusoidal driving the resonant activation effect has been observed. The mean switching time and its standard deviation have a minimum as a function of driving frequency. As a consequence the optimization of the system for fast operation will simultaneously lead to the minimization of timing errors.  相似文献

We demonstrate optically detected spin resonance of a single electron confined to a self-assembled quantum dot. The dot is rendered dark by resonant optical pumping of the spin with a laser. Contrast is restored by applying a radio frequency (rf) magnetic field at the spin resonance. The scheme is sensitive even to rf fields of just a few microT. In one case, the spin resonance behaves as a driven 3-level lambda system with weak damping; in another one, the dot exhibits remarkably strong (67% signal recovery) and narrow (0.34 MHz) spin resonances with fluctuating resonant positions, evidence of unusual dynamic processes.  相似文献

The paper considers an excitable Hodgkin-Huxley system subjected to a strong periodic forcing in the presence of random noise. The influence of the forcing frequency on the response of the system is examined in the realm of suprathreshold amplitudes. Our results confirm that the presence of noise has a detrimental effect on the neuronal response. Fluctuations can induce significant delays in the detection of an external signal. We demonstrate, however, that this negative influence may be minimized by a resonant activation effect: Both the mean escape time and its standard deviation exhibit a minimum as functions of the forcing frequency. The destructive influence of noise on the interspike interval can also be reduced. With driving signals in a certain frequency range, the system can show stable periodic spiking even for relatively large noise intensities. Outside this frequency range, noise of similar intensity destroys the regularity of the spike trains by suppressing the generation of some of the spikes.  相似文献

制作了一维周期排列的亥姆霍兹共振器超材料,在空气环境下测试了其在可听声频段声学透射行为.实验结果表明,在2.1—3.5 kHz附近该材料具有透射衰减的吸收峰,利用声传输线理论(ATLM)计算的透射率和实验结果一致,同时由计算的等效阻抗分析可知,实验中出现的吸收峰是由HRs共振的回波反射引起的.另外,实验测试的样品中透射信号分布进一步验证了材料的共振效应,也就是会出现与外加激励反相响应.基于前述的共振模型计算出该材料的等效弹性模量为负. 关键词: 亥姆霍兹共振器 声传输线 吸收峰 等效弹性模量  相似文献

该研究旨在研究双泡模型的自然共振频率对超声空化的影响,通过理论计算研究了自然共振频率的影响因素,以及单频超声和双频超声与自然共振频率的关系。研究结果表明:气泡初始半径是影响自然共振频率的主要因素;低频驱动下的非线性波动程度会比高频的更加剧烈,当驱动频率等于气泡自然共振频率时,超声空化的效果更好;双频超声取气泡自然共振频率时超声空化效果远远优于单频超声驱动。该研究在超声医学和理解超声空化特性方面有着重要的意义。  相似文献

本文研究了一种利用一阶纵振动和二阶弯曲振动的弯纵直线超声马达,采用加粗两端金属块的方法达到频率简并。实验测量得出一阶纵振动为36.6kHz,二阶弯曲振动频率为37.3kHz。利用该马达设计研制了一套驱动装置,经实验测得,当马达的预压力14.3N时,该装置无承载且无负载速度大于6cm/s;该装置承载196N的重物且负载l-2kgf时,仍能正常运行。  相似文献

We present a semiclassical analysis of the dynamics of Rydberg states of atomic hydrogen driven by a resonant microwave field of linear polarization. The semiclassical quasienergies of the atom in the field are found to be in very good agreement with the exact quantum solutions. The ionization rates of individual eigenstates of the atom dressed by the field reflect their quasiclassical dynamics along classical periodic orbits in the near integrable regime, but exhibit a transition to nonspecific rates when global chaos takes over in phase space. We concentrate both on the principal resonance where the unperturbed Kepler frequency is equal to the driving field frequency and on the higher primary resonance The latter case allows for the construction of nondispersive wave packets which propagate along Kepler ellipses of intermediate eccentricity. The transient resonance of a sonoluminescence bubble has been analysed. When the bubble performs its transient resonance at the nth order harmonics of the standing waves in the liquid, the light intensity strongly depends on the amplitude of the driving pressure (proportional to its 2n power, with n=fr/f, where fr is Minnaert's linear resonant frequency of the bubble and f is the frequency of driving sound). The kinetic energy of a vibrating bubble becomes maximum approximately when it is in its equilibrium size. For example, when the ambient temperature of a bubble decreases from 34℃ to 4℃, a huge increase of the light intensity emitted by it can be explained. A suggestion was made that, within the limits permitted by the phase diagrams, as high an increase in driving pressure as possible could enhance the light intensity of sonoluminescence up to four orders of magnitude.  相似文献

We propose a new mechanism for polarizing nuclear spins in quantum dots, based on periodic modulation of the hyperfine coupling by electric driving at the electron spin resonance frequency. Dynamical nuclear polarization results from resonant excitation rather than hyperfine relaxation mediated by a thermal bath, and thus is not subject to Overhauser-like detailed balance constraints. This allows polarization in the direction opposite to that expected from the Overhauser effect. Competition of the electrically driven and bath-assisted mechanisms can give rise to spatial modulation and sign reversal of polarization on a scale smaller than the electron confinement radius in the dot.  相似文献

将弹性管壁视为膜弹性结构, 探索在外部声场作用下弹性微管内液柱-气泡-管壁构成耦合振动系统的非线性特征. 利用逐级近似法对系统非线性共振频率、基频和三倍频振动幅值响应、 分频激励共振机理等进行了理论分析. 基频和三倍频振动的幅-频响应数值结果表明: 气泡的轴向共振和管壁共振不能同时出现; 两垂直方向的振动均表现出幅值响应多值性, 进而可能引起系统的不稳定声响应; 三倍频振动在低频区的声响应强于高频区. 关键词: 弹性微管 受迫振动 非线性振动 气泡声响应  相似文献

Sustained resonance in a linear oscillator is achievable with a drive whose constant frequency matches the resonant frequency of the oscillator. But in oscillators with nonlinear restoring forces such as the pendulum, Duffing and Duffing-Van der Pol oscillator, the resonant frequency changes as the amplitude changes, so a constant frequency drive results in a beat oscillation instead of sustained resonance. Duffing-type nonlinear oscillators can be driven into sustained resonance, called autoresonance, when the drive frequency is swept in time to match the changing resonant frequency of the oscillator. We find that near-optimal drive linear sweep rates for autoresonance can be estimated from the beat oscillation resulting from constant frequency excitation. Specifically, a least squares estimate of the Teager-Kaiser instantaneous frequency versus time for the beat response to a stationary drive provides a near-optimal estimate of the nonstationary drive linear sweep rate needed to sustain resonance in the pendulum, Duffing and Duffing-Van der Pol oscillators. We confirm these predictions with model-based numerical simulations. An advantage of the beat method of estimating optimal drive sweep rates for maximal autoresonant response is that no model is required so experimentally generated beat oscillation data can be used for systems where no model is available.  相似文献

Cavity loss modulation is investigated in the low-frequency range of pulsed Nd-lasers. The response of the system shows a typical resonant behaviour, whose resonance frequency is equal to the frequency of the relaxation oscillations. The resonance step-up is in the order of 103, which means that an extremely small driving voltage at the electrooptic cell results in very regular, undamped spikes.Experiments are performed with a pulsed Nd: YAG laser. Pulse power, half-width, and distance are in the range required for controlled material removal in high quality laser material processing.  相似文献

We investigate the absorption and dispersion properties of a two-level atom driven by a polychromatic field. The driving field is composed of a strong resonant (carrier) frequency component and a large number of symmetrically detuned sideband fields (modulators). A rapid increase in the absorption at the central frequency and the collapse of the response of the system from multiple frequencies to a single frequency are predicted to occur when the Rabi frequency of the modulating fields is equal to the Rabi frequency of the carrier field. These are manifestations of the undressing or a disentanglement of the atomic and driving field states, that leads to a collapse of the atom to its ground state. Our calculation permits consideration of the question of the undressing of the driven atom by a multiple-modulated field and the predicted spectra offer a method of observing undressing. Moreover, we find that the absorption and dispersion spectra split into multiplets whose structures depend on the Rabi frequency of the modulating fields. The spectral features can jump between different resonance frequencies by changing the Rabi frequency of the modulating fields or their initial phases, which can have potential applications as a quantum frequency filter.
