The paper is concerned with oscillation properties of n-th order neutral differential equations of the form

where c is a real number with with (t) < t and .Sufficient conditions are established for the existence of positive solutions and for oscillation of bounded solutions of the above equation. Combination of these conditions provides necessary and sufficient conditions for oscillation of bounded solutions of the equation. Furthermore, the results are generalized to equations in which c is a function of t and a certain type of a forcing term is present.  相似文献

We obtain new unimprovable effective oscillation conditions for all solutions of linear first-order differential and difference equations with several delays. We show that known results of the kind are consequences of the new results. We reveal the reasons for the impossibility to obtain oscillation conditions for equations with several delays, as sharp as the conditions for the equation with one delay, in the case when only known approaches are used.  相似文献

To study a vector-matrix differential equation of order n, the method of integral equations is used. When the Lipschitz condition holds, an existence and uniqueness theorem for a bounded solution and its estimates are obtained. This solution is almost periodic if the nonlinearity is almost periodic, and it is asymptotically Lyapunov stable if the matrix characteristic polynomial is a Hurwitz polynomial. Under a Lipschitztype condition, a theorem on the existence of at least one bounded solution is proved; among the bounded solutions, there is at least one recurrent solution if the nonlinearity is almost periodic. The equation is S-dissipative if the matrix characteristic polynomial is a Hurwitz polynomial.  相似文献

This paper deals with the stability analysis of scalar delay integro-differential equations (DIDEs). We propose a numerical scheme for computing the stability determining characteristic roots of DIDEs which involves a linear multistep method as time integration scheme and a quadrature method based on Lagrange interpolation and a Gauss–Legendre quadrature rule. We investigate to which extent the proposed scheme preserves the stability properties of the original equation. We derive and prove a sufficient condition for (asymptotic) stability of a DIDE (with a constant kernel) which we call RHP-stability. Conditions are obtained under which the proposed scheme preserves RHP-stability. We compare the obtained results with corresponding ones using Newton–Cotes formulas. Results of numerical experiments on computing the stability of DIDEs with constant and nonconstant kernel functions are presented.  相似文献

In this paper, we present some new criteria for the oscillation of the differential equation with damping where p(t) and q(t) are allowed to change signs on [t0 ∞].
