In this work the acid properties of a series of HZSM-12 zeolites with different Si/Al ratio were studied. The ZSM-12 crystals were synthesized by the hydrothermal method starting from a gel with the following molar composition: 20MTEA:10Na2O:x Al2O3:100SiO2:2000H2O, with x = 0.50, 0.67, 1, 1.25 and 2, respectively. The gels were crystallized at 140C for 6 days, then washed, dried and calcined to remove the MTEA template. The samples were ion-exchanged with an ammonium chloride solution and calcined again to obtain the zeolites in the acid form. The materials thus obtained were characterized by XRD, SEM, BET, TG and n-butylamine adsorption. The Si/Al ratio in the reaction mixture affects the amount of zeolite produced and the size of the particles. The XRD analysis indicated that the ZSM-12 zeolite crystallizes in a pure form only with Si/Al ratio above 33. The SEM analysis showed the presence of crystallites with very well defined prismatic shapes. The removal of the MTEA of the pores of the ZSM-12 by TG indicated that there are two kinds of internal sites occupied by MTEA inside the structure. The BET area of the ZSM-12 decreases proportionally with the crystallinity of materials. The desorption of n-butylamine showed that the acid site density is proportional to aluminum content, but the Si/Al ratio shows little influence on the relative strengths of these sites.  相似文献

In this work, a kinetic study on the thermal degradation of carbon fibre reinforced epoxy is presented. The degradation is investigated by means of dynamic thermogravimetric analysis (TG) in air and inert atmosphere at heating rates from 0.5 to 20°C min−1 . Curves obtained by TG in air are quite different from those obtained in nitrogen. A three-step loss is observed during dynamic TG in air while mass loss proceeded as a two step process in nitrogen at fast heating rate. To elucidate this difference, a kinetic analysis is carried on. A kinetic model described by the Kissinger method or by the Ozawa method gives the kinetic parameters of the composite decomposition. Apparent activation energy calculated by Kissinger method in oxidative atmosphere for each step is between 40–50 kJ mol−1 upper than E a calculated in inert atmosphere. The thermo-oxidative degradation illustrated by Ozawa method shows a stable apparent activation energy (E a ≈130 kJ mol−1 ) even though the thermal degradation in nitrogen flow presents a maximum E a for 15% mass loss (E a ≈60 kJ mol−1 ). Thermal decomposition processes of selected chemicals used as food preservatives such as sodium formate, sodium propionate, sodium nitrates(V and III) and sodium sulphate(IV) were examined by the derivatographic method. Based on the curves obtained, the number of decomposition stages and characteristic temperatures of these compounds have been found. Mass decrements calculated from TG curves ranged from 28.9% for sodium formate to 77.8% for sodium nitrate(V), while sodium sulphate showed a mass increment of 5.6%. Kinetic parameters such as activation energy (E a ), frequency factor (A ) and reaction order (n ) were calculated from TG, DTG and T curves. Sodium formate shows the highest values of E a and A which amount to 171.7 kJ mol–1 and 5.8⋅1014 s–1 , respectively, while the lowest ones, E a =28.2 kJ mol–1 and A =3.65⋅102 s–1 belong to sodium nitrate(V). The solid state thermal behavior of trans-[Co(bpb)(amine)2]NCS⋅H2O complexes where (bpb)=[N,N’-bis(2-pyridinecarboxamido-N)-1,2-benzene], and amine=pyrrolidine (prldn)(1), and benzylamine (bzlan) (2), and trans-[Co(bpb)(piperidine)2]ClO4⋅H2O (3) (mixed with KSCN), has been studied using thermoanalytical techniques, infrared spectroscopy, and pyrolysis coupled to both infrared and mass spectrometry, PY/FTIR and PY/MS. The deamination-anation reaction is clearly observed for all three complexes. The estimated values of E a for the deamination-anation are: E a(1)=246.8 kJ mol−1, E a(2)=255.7 kJ mol−1, E a(3)=234.7 kJmol−1. The trend in E a values is rationalized based on the ligand field strength of the amines and the structural effects. A novel decarbonylation of the amide CO group from the equatorial ligand is observed after the release of one amine molecule. This process has been monitored for complex (1) by FTIR in the carbonyl region and by mass spectrometry for the detection of CO2 at 280°C. The activation energy of this process is estimated for complex (1) (662.5 kJ mol−1). The reaction scheme for the observed reactions is proposed. The electrochemical properties of thionine dye adsorbed into ZSM-5 and HZSM-5 zeolites (TH/ZSM-5, TH/HZSM-5) are studied in 0.5 M KCl solution. The dye is strongly retained and not easily leached from the zeolites matrix. The samples are incorporated into the carbon paste electrode (TH/ZSM-5/P, TH/HZSM-5/P) for cyclic voltammetric measurements. The redox reactions of thionine incorporated into ZSM-5 zeolite contain a quasi-reversible, two-electron one proton in the pH range 1 to 10, but thionine-loaded HZSM-5 zeolite undergoes a quasi-reversible two-electron two-protons redox reaction under acidic conditions and a one proton two-electron redox reaction takes place under basic conditions. The separation of the anodic and cathodic potentials (E p) is high in thionine-loaded zeolites (>100) with respect to the solution of thionine (E p = 34 for ZSM-5/P and 36 mV for HZSM-5/P), indicating that there are strong interaction between thionine molecules and the zeolites. The midpoint potentials (E m) for TH/ZSM-5/P and TH/HZSM-5/P are −0.203 and −0.381 V, respectively. However, the midpoint potentials for the solution of thionine for the electrode system of ZSM-5/P and HZSM-5/P are −0.335 and −0.407 V, respectively. Thus, thionine dye molecules incorporated into the zeolites can be reduced more easily with respect to solution of thionine. In various electrolyte solutions, the midpoint potentials remains constant, but the midpoint potential of the thionine-zeolite electrodes depends on the solution pH. Influence of the pH of the solution on the midpoint potential of an immobilized dye reveals that thionine molecules are accessible to protons. This property is ascribed to the formation of mesopores in the structure of our zeolites suffering from a calcination step. Published in Russian in Elektrokhimiya, 2007, Vol. 43, No. 7, pp. 794–800. The thermal stability of lithium-ion battery cathode could substantially affect the safety of lithium-ion battery. In order to disclose the decomposition kinetics of charged LiCoO2 used in lithium ion batteries, thermogravimetric analyzer (TG) and C80 microcalorimeter were employed in this study. Four stages of mass losses were detected by TG and one main exothermic process was detected by C80 microcalorimeter for the charged LiCoO2. The chemical reaction kinetics is supposed to fit by an Arrhenius law, and then the activation energy is calculated as E a=148.87 and 88.87 kJ mol−1 based on TG and C80 data, respectively.  相似文献

Ammonium dinitramide (ADN) prills were prepared by emulsion crystallization and characterized by optical microscopic, thermogravimetric (TG) and differential scanning calorimetric (DSC) techniques. The isothermal and non-isothermal decomposition kinetics of ADN prills were studied by TG. The differential isoconversional method of Friedman (FR) and integral isoconversional method of Vyazovkin were used to investigate the dependence of activation energy (E a) with conversion (α) and the results were compared with literature data. The dependence of activation energy was also derived from isothermal data. A strong dependence of E a with α is observed for the ADN prills. All the methods showed an initial increase in E a up to α=∼0.2 and later decreases over the rest of conversion. The apparent E a values of FR method are higher than that of Vyazovkin method up to α=∼0.45. The calculated mean E a values by FR, Vyazovkin and standard isoconversional method for α between 0.05 and 0.95 were 211.0, 203.9 and 156.9 kJ mol−1, respectively.  相似文献

TiO2–CeO2 oxides for application as ceramic pigments were synthesized by the Pechini method. In the present work the polymeric network of the pigment precursor was studied using thermal analysis. Results obtained using TG and DTA showed the occurrence of three main mass loss stages and profiles associated to the decomposition of the organic matter and crystallization. The kinetics of the degradation was evaluated by means of TG applying different heating rates. The activation energies (E a) and reaction order (n) for each stage were determined using Horowitz–Metzger, Coats–Redfern, Kissinger and Broido methods. Values of E a varying between 257–267 kJ mol–1 and n=0–1 were found. According to the kinetic analysis the decomposition reactions were diffusion controlled.  相似文献

The equation for calculation of the activation energy of the diffusion of the evolved products through the matrix (E) from a single TG curve were proposed by solving Fick's laws. The solution is based on the similarly theory by utilizing a Fourier number. The proposed method was examined by using mass loss data for the dehydroxylation of some micas with and without FeO (muscovite and its varieties and lepidolite) as determined from their TG curves. TheE values for the first stage of the dehydroxylation of these micas areE 1,=85±10 kJ mol–1; for the final stageE 2=380±40 kJ mol–1 and for the mass loss connected with fluorineE F=85±10 kJ mol–1.Dedicated to Prof. Menachem Steinberg on the occasion of his 65th birthdayPart of this work was carried out in the Institute of Geochemistry of the USSR Academy Science (Irkutsk).

By using 13C MAS NMR spectroscopy (MAS=magic angle spinning), the conversion of selectively 13C‐labeled n‐butane on zeolite H‐ZSM‐5 at 430–470 K has been demonstrated to proceed through two pathways: 1) scrambling of the selective 13C‐label in the n‐butane molecule, and 2) oligomerization–cracking and conjunct polymerization. The latter processes (2) produce isobutane and propane simultaneously with alkyl‐substituted cyclopentenyl cations and condensed aromatic compounds. In situ 13C MAS NMR and complementary ex situ GC–MS data provided evidence for a monomolecular mechanism of the 13C‐label scrambling, whereas both isobutane and propane are formed through intermolecular pathways. According to 13C MAS NMR kinetic measurements, both pathways proceed with nearly the same activation energies (Ea=75 kJ mol?1 for the scrambling and 71 kJ mol?1 for isobutane and propane formation). This can be rationalized by considering the intermolecular hydride transfer between a primarily initiated carbenium ion and n‐butane as being the rate‐determining stage of the n‐butane conversion on zeolite H‐ZSM‐5.  相似文献

Samples of water based commercial acrylic resin paints were spread in a film form on slides, dried at room temperature and exposed to solar radiation for up to eight months. The characterization and quantification of resins and charges in the white paint emulsion were carried out for the thermal decomposition. Besides this, X-ray diffractometry was used to identify CaCO3 as charge and TiO2 (rutile phase) as pigment. It was observed through thermal techniques similar behavior to the samples even though with varied exposure time. Kinetic studies of the samples allowed to obtain the activation energy (E a) and Arrhenius parameters (A) to the thermal decomposition of acrylic resin to three different commercial emulsion (called P1, P2, P3) through non-isothermal procedures. The values of E a varied regarding the exposition time (eight months) and solar radiation from 173 to 197 kJ mol−1 (P1 sample), from 175 to 226 kJ mol−1 (P2 sample) and 206 to 197 kJ mol−1 (P3 sample). Kinetic Compensation Effect (KCE) observed for samples P2 and P3 indicate acrylic resin s present in these may be similar in nature. This aspect could be observed by a small difference in the thermal behavior of the TG curves from P1 to P2 and P3 sample. The simulated kinetic model to all the samples was the autocatalytic Šesták-Berggreen.  相似文献

A facile synthesis of partially hydroxy‐modified MOF‐5 and its improved H2‐adsorption capacity by lithium doping are reported. The reaction of Zn(NO3)2 ? 6 H2O with a mixture of terephthalic acid (H2BDC) and 2‐hydroxyterephthalic acid (H2BDC‐OH) in DMF gave hydroxy‐modified MOF‐5 (MOF‐5‐OH‐x), in which the molar fraction (x) of BDC‐OH2? was up to 0.54 of the whole ligand. The MOF‐5‐OH‐x frameworks had high BET surface areas (about 3300 m2 g?1), which were comparable to that of MOF‐5. We suggest that the MOF‐5‐OH‐x frameworks are formed by the secondary growth of BDC2?‐rich MOF‐5 seed crystals, which are nucleated during the early stage of the reaction. Subsequent Li doping into MOF‐5‐OH‐x results in increased H2 uptake at 77 K and 0.1 MPa from 1.23 to 1.39 wt. % and an increased isosteric heat of H2 adsorption from 5.1–4.2 kJ mol?1 to 5.5–4.4 kJ mol?1.  相似文献

The molar heat capacities C p,m of 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediol were measured in the temperature range from 78 to 410 K by means of a small sample automated adiabatic calorimeter. A solid-solid and a solid-liquid phase transitions were found at T-314.304 and 402.402 K, respectively, from the experimental C p-T curve. The molar enthalpies and entropies of these transitions were determined to be 14.78 kJ mol−1, 47.01 J K−1 mol for the solid-solid transition and 7.518 kJ mol−1, 18.68 J K−1 mol−1 for the solid-liquid transition, respectively. The dependence of heat capacity on the temperature was fitted to the following polynomial equations with least square method. In the temperature range of 80 to 310 K, C p,m/(J K−1 mol−1)=117.72+58.8022x+3.0964x 2+6.87363x 3−13.922x 4+9.8889x 5+16.195x 6; x=[(T/K)−195]/115. In the temperature range of 325 to 395 K, C p,m/(J K−1 mol−1)=290.74+22.767x−0.6247x 2−0.8716x 3−4.0159x 4−0.2878x 5+1.7244x 6; x=[(T/K)−360]/35. The thermodynamic functions H TH 298.15 and S TS 298.15, were derived from the heat capacity data in the temperature range of 80 to 410 K with an interval of 5 K. The thermostability of the compound was further tested by DSC and TG measurements. The results were in agreement with those obtained by adiabatic calorimetry.  相似文献

The dependences of the differential molar isosteric heat of adsorption and entropy of adsorption of CO2 on zeolite NaX were determined in wide temperature (196–423 K) and pressure (0.1 Pa to 5.4 MPa) intervals. In the initial region of adsorption (a < 1 mmol g–1), the differential molar heat of adsorption increases from 40 to 43 kJ mol–1 and then decreases to 33 kJ mol–1. The heat of adsorption remains virtually unchanged at 3 mmol g–1< a < 6.5 mmol g–1 and decreases sharply at high fillings of zeolite micropores (a > 7 mmol g–1). The heat of adsorption was found to be temperature-dependent. The region with the constant heats shrinks with the temperature increase, and the heats begin to decrease at lower fillings of micro pores. The dependences of the change in the differential entropy of the adsorption system on the amount adsorbed were calculated at different temperatures. The specific features of the behavior of the thermodynamic functions of this adsorption system in the initial and medium region of fillings kre associated with interactions of adsorbate molecules with Na+ cations and walls of large cavities. For high fillings, an increase in repulsion forces between adsorbed molecules results in a sharp expansion of the adsorbent and a decrease in the heat of adsorption.Published in Russian in Izvestiya Akademii Nauk. The thermal decomposition of salbutamol (β2 — selective adrenoreceptor) was studied using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetry/derivative thermogravimetry (TG/DTG). It was observed that the commercial sample showed a different thermal profile than the standard sample caused by the presence of excipients. These compounds increase the thermal stability of the drug. Moreover, higher activation energy was calculated for the pharmaceutical sample, which was estimated by isothermal and non-isothermal methods for the first stage of the thermal decomposition process. For isothermal experiments the average values were E act=130 kJ mol−1 (for standard sample) and E act=252 kJ mol−1 (for pharmaceutical sample) in a dynamic nitrogen atmosphere (50 mL min−1). For non-isothermal method, activation energy was obtained from the plot of log heating rates vs. 1/T in dynamic air atmosphere (50 mL min−1). The calculated values were E act=134 kJ mol−1 (for standard sample) and E act=139 kJ mol−1 (for pharmaceutical sample).  相似文献

The thermal decomposition of [Co(NH3)6]2(C2O4)3·4H2O was studied under isothermal conditions in flowing air and argon. Dissociation of the above complex occurs in three stages. The kinetics of the particular stages thermal decomposition have been evaluated. The RN and/or AM models were selected as those best fitting the experimental TG curves. The activation energies,E, and lnA were calculated with a conventional procedure and by a new method suggested by Kogaet al. [10, 11]. Comparison of the results have showed that the Arrhenius parameters values estimated by the use of both methods are very close. The calculated activation energies were in air: 96 kJ mol–1 (R1.575, stage I); 101 kJ mol–1 (Ain1.725 stage II); 185 kJ mol–1 (A 2.9, stage III) and in argon: 66 kJ mol–1 (A 1.25, stage I); 87 kJ mol–1 (A 1.825, stage II); 133 kJ mol–1 (A 2.525, stage III).  相似文献

Temperature oscillations obtained during the heterogeneous catalytic oxidation of ethanol on Pd-Al2 O3 in a dynamic calorimeter were characterized by an overall activation energy. This parameter was determined by a non-isothermal kinetic method using the minimum and maximum values of the oscillations temperature. Using the bifurcation diagram with the oxygen as a bifurcation parameter an E value between 27.6 and 28.2 kJ mol-1 was obtained. With ethanol as bifurcation parameter the E values lies between 28.1 and 31.1 kJ mol-1 for 3.5 to 4.0 vol% ethanol and between 25.8 and 27.6 kJ mol-1 for 4.0 to 4.7 vol% ethanol. These results have been discussed. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

The relative acid strength and acid amount of solid acids has been determined from the adsorption and desorption of small molecules, such as argon. The order of activation energy for desorption of Ar from a solid acid, determined using temperature-programmed desorption (TPD), is sulfated zirconia > Cs2.5H0.5PW12O40 > proton-type zeolites > silica–alumina. The adsorption isotherms were analyzed using Langmuir and Henry equations. The Henry-type adsorption isotherms were also analyzed using the theory of Cremer and Flügge. The heat of Ar adsorption was 22 kJ mol−1 for sulfated zirconia and ca. 17 kJ mol−1 for mordenite, ZSM-5, and beta-zeolite. Molybdenum oxides reduced at 623 and 773 K exhibited a large heat of adsorption (19.3 and 19.7 kJ mol−1, respectively), and these materials are classified as superacids. W-Nb mixed-oxides and tungstated tin oxide (calcined at 1373 K), which are newly developed solid acids, had a heat of adsorption of 18.1 and 16.9 kJ mol−1, respectively. The type of acid site could be distinguished by comparing the heat of adsorption of Ar and N2. Our data indicate that Ar is useful for the characterization of solid acids.  相似文献

Temperature dependence of viscosity of title glasses (x=0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, abbreviated as M0, M2, M4, M6, M8, and M10, respectively) was measured by rotational viscometry (high temperature region: 102−106.5 dPas) and thermomechanical analysis (low temperature region: 108.5−1011.5 dPas) and described by the Vogel-Fulcher-Tammann equation. The MgO/CaO equimolar substitution (i.e. the increasing x value) smoothly shifts the high temperature viscosity to higher values. In the low temperature region the mixed alkali effect is demonstrated, and the highest viscosities are observed for the glasses M0 and M10. In the low temperature range the activation energy of viscous flow linearly decreases with the increasing x value (E act/kJ mol−1=479−9.0x). No significant dependence of activation energy on x was found in the high temperature range (E act/kJ mol−1=238.1±4.2). The structural relaxation was measured by thermomechanical experiment and theoretically interpreted in the frame of Tool-Narayanaswamy-Mazurin’s model. The broadening of the relaxation time spectrum was observed for the calcium-magnesium glasses in comparison with the pure calcium or magnesium glasses.  相似文献
