Essential spectra of quasi-parabolic composition operators on Hardy spaces of analytic functions

In this work we study the essential spectra of composition operators on Hardy spaces of analytic functions which might be termed as “quasi-parabolic.” This is the class of composition operators on H² with symbols whose conjugate with the Cayley transform on the upper half-plane are of the form φ(z)=z+ψ(z), where ψ∈H^∞(H) and ℑ(ψ(z))>?>0. We especially examine the case where ψ is discontinuous at infinity. A new method is devised to show that this type of composition operator fall in a C*-algebra of Toeplitz operators and Fourier multipliers. This method enables us to provide new examples of essentially normal composition operators and to calculate their essential spectra.

Pseudodifferential Operators on Local Hardy Spaces

In this work, we study the continuity of pseudodifferential operators on local Hardy spaces h ^p (ℝ ⁿ ) and generalize the results due to Goldberg and Taylor by showing that operators with symbols in S _1,δ ⁰(ℝ ⁿ ), 0≤δ<1, and in some subclasses of S _1,1⁰(ℝ ⁿ ) are bounded on h ^p (ℝ ⁿ ) (0<p≤1). As an application, we study the local solvability of the planar vector field L=∂ _t +ib(x,t)∂ _x , b(x,t)≥0, in spaces of mixed norm involving Hardy spaces. Convolution Operators on Discrete Hardy Spaces

We establish the connection between the boundedness of convolution operators on H^p(ℝ^N) and some related operators on H^p(ℤ^N). The results we obtain here extend the already known for L^p spaces with p > 1. We also study similar results for maximal operators given by convolution with the dilation of a fixed kernel. Our main tools are some known results about functions of exponential type already presented in [BC1] that, in particular, allow us to prove a sampling theorem for functions of exponential type belonging to Hardy spaces

Weighted Composition Operators between Different Hardy Spaces

Let and be two analytic functions defined on such that. The operator given by is called a weighted composition operator. In this paper we deal with the boundedness, compactness, weak compactness, and complete continuity of weighted composition operators from a Hardy space H _p into another Hardy space H _q . We apply these results to study composition operators on Hardy spaces of a half-plane. Submitted: November 20, 2001.     

Note on the Essential Norm of Composition Operators from HP（BN） to Hq（BN）

The authors give an upper bound of the essential norms of composition operators between Hardy spaces of the unit ball in terms of the counting function in the higher dimensional value distribution theory defined by Professor S.S.Chern.The sufcient condition for such operators to be bounded or compact is also given.

We investigate the weighted composition operator from the weighted Bergman space into the weighted Hardy space on the unit ball. As a consequence of the investigation, we also give a characterization for the boundedness and compactness of the operator whose the target space is the Hardy space.     

Boundedness for Hardy Type Operators on Herz Spaces with Variable Exponents

In this paper, we will prove the boundedness of Hardy type operators Hβ(x) and H*β(x) of variable order β(x) on Herz spaces Kα(·)p(·),q and Kα(·)p(·),q' where α(·) and p(·)are both variable.

We consider the weighted composition operators between Hardy spaces on the unit ball, and obtain some sufficient and necessary conditions of bounded or compact weighted composition operators. We also prove that the operator from H1 to H1 is compact if and only if it is weakly compact. Meanwhile, we get the analogue on the Bergman spaces.

Weakly Compact Composition Operators on Locally Convex Spaces

Let E be a complete, barrelled locally convex space, let V = (v_n) be an increasing sequence of strictly positive, radial, continuous, bounded weights on the unit disc 𝔻 of the complex plane, and let φ be an analytic self map on 𝔻. The composition operators C_φ : f → f ○ φ on the weighted space of holomorphic functions HV (𝔻, E) which map bounded sets into relatively weakly compact subsets are characterized. Our approach requires a study of wedge operators between spaces of continuous linear maps between locally convex spaces which extends results of Saksman and Tylli [31, 32], and a representation of the space HV (𝔻, E) as a space of operators which complements work by Bierstedt , Bonet and Galbis [4] and by Bierstedt and Holtmanns [6].     

An Upper Bound of Essential Norm of Composition Operator on H2 （Bn）

The authors give an upper bound of the essential norm of a composition operator on H ²(B _n ), which involves the counting function in the higher dimensional value distribution theory defined by S. S. Chern. A criterion is also given to assure that the composition operator on H ²( _Bn ) is bounded or compact.

Essential norm of composition operators between weighted Hardy spaces

An asymptotic formula for the essential norm of composition operators acting between two weighted Hardy spaces H_w1 and H_w2, where w₁ and w₂ are two admissible weight functions, is given. The boundedness of the operators is also characterized.
