Explicit formula of holomorphic automorphism group on complex homogeneous bounded domains

We known that the maximal connected holomorphic automorphism group Aut (D)(0) is a semi-direct product of the triangle group T(D) and the maximal connected isotropic subgroup Iso(D)(0) of a fixed point in the complex homogeneous bounded domain D and any complex homogeneous bounded domain is holomorphic isomorphic to a normal Siegel domain D(VN,F). In this paper, we give the explicit formula of any holomorphic automorphism in T(D(VN, F)) and Iso(D(VN,F))(0), where G(0) is the unit connected component of the Lie group G.     

The Bergman kernels on super-Car tan domains of the first type

The Bergman kernel function and biholomorphic automorphism group for super-Cartan domain of the first type are given in explicit formulas.     

Geometric norm equality related to the harmonicity of the Poisson kernel for homogeneous Siegel domains

In this paper, we present a geometric norm equality involving an admissible linear form ω for the Shilov boundary of a homogeneous Siegel domain D. We prove that the validity of this norm equality is equivalent to the symmetry of D and the reduction of ω essentially to the Koszul form. This, in particular, reveals a geometric reason that the Poisson kernel is annihilated by the Laplace-Beltrami operator if and only if D is symmetric, a theorem due to Hua, Look, Korányi and Xu.     

New classes of domains with explicit Bergman kernel

We introduce two classes of egg type domains, built on general bounded sym-metric domains, for which we obtain the Bergman kernel in explicit formulas. As an aux-iliary tool, we compute the integral of complex powers of the generic norm on a boundedsymmetric domains using the well-known integral of Selberg. This generalizes matrix in-tegrals of Hua and leads to a special polynomial with integer or half-integer coefficientsattached to each irreducible bounded symmetric domain.

Dolbeault cohomology of compact complex homogeneous manifolds

We show that ifM is the total space of a holomorphic bundle with base space a simply connected homogeneous projective variety and fibre and structure group a compact complex torus, then the identity component of the automorphism group ofM acts trivially on the Dolbeault cohomology ofM. We consider a class of compact complex homogeneous spacesW, which we call generalized Hopf manifolds, which are diffeomorphic to S¹ ×K/L whereK is a compact connected simple Lie group andL is the semisimple part of the centralizer of a one dimensional torus inK. We compute the Dolbeault cohomology ofW. We compute the Picard group of any generalized Hopf manifold and show that every line bundle over a generalized Hopf manifold arises from a representation of its fundamental group.     

Some Problems in Operator Theory on Bounded Symmetric Domains

We discuss some problems concerning the operators K _m (Z,Z ^*), where K _m is the reproducing kernel of the Peter–Weyl space with signature m and Z stands for the commuting tuple of operators of multiplication by the coordinate variables on a bounded symmetric domain. These problems have applications for construction of operator models, as well as for a possible generalization of the recent dilation theory for row contractions due to Arveson.     

Density of multivariate homogeneous polynomials on star like domains

The famous Weierstrass theorem asserts that every continuous function on a compact set in ${\mathbb{R}}^d$ can be uniformly approximated by algebraic polynomials. A related interesting problem consists in studying the same question for the important subclass of homogeneous polynomials containing only monomials of the same degree. The corresponding conjecture claims that every continuous function on the boundary of convex 0-symmetric bodies can be uniformly approximated by pairs of homogeneous polynomials. The main objective of the present paper is to review the recent progress on this conjecture and provide a new unified treatment of the same problem on non convex star like domains. It will be shown that the boundary of every 0-symmetric non convex star like domain contains an exceptional zero set so that a continuous function can be uniformly approximated on the boundary of the domain by a sum of two homogeneous polynomials if and only if the function vanishes on this zero set. Thus the Weierstrass type approximation problem for homogeneous polynomials on non convex star like domains amounts to the study of these exceptional zero sets. We will also present an extension of a theorem of Varjú which describes the exceptional zero sets for intersections of star like domains. These results combined with certain transformations of the underlying region will lead to the discovery of some new classes of convex and non convex domains for which the Weierstrass type approximation result holds for homogeneous polynomials.     

Some remarks on pseudo-umbilical totally real submanifolds in a complex projective space

This paper studies the relationship between the pseudo-umbilical totally real submanifolds and the minimal totally real submanifolds in a complex projective space. Two theo- rems which claim that some types of pseudo-umbilical totally real submanifolds must be minimal submanifolds are proved.     

On the Bergman metric of pseudoconvex domains in a complex projective space

We prove a localization principle of the Bergman kernel form and metric for pseudoconvex domains in the complex projective space. An estimate of the Bergman distance is also given.

     

Time-dependent parabolic problems on non-cylindrical domains with inhomogeneous boundary conditions

We study the relationship between the Dirichlet problem and the Cauchy problem with inhomogeneous boundary conditions for local operators. Our results are applied to non-autonomous parabolic problems on non-cylindrical domains. Received January 10, 2001; accepted April 5, 2001.     

Some aspects of the nontrivial solvability of homogeneous Dirichlet problems for linear equations of arbitrary even order in the disk

In this paper, we obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for the nontrivial solvability of homogeneous Dirichlet problems in the disk for linear equations of arbitrary even order 2m with constant complex coefficients and homogeneous nondegenerate symbol in general position. The cases m=1, 2, 3 are studied separately.
