Ultraviolet filters (UV Filters) are compounds that are widely employed in personal care products such as sunscreens to protect the skin from sun damage, but they are also added to other products, such as food packaging, plastics, paints, textiles, detergents, etc. The continuous use of these products causes the release of a substantial amount of these products into the marine environment through direct input or wastewater discharge, and thus they are becoming an important class of contaminants of emerging concern. A correlation between their occurrence and different negative effects on marine biota has been reported.Taking into account all the possible impacts on the environment, knowledge of their presence and distribution in the different compartments of the ecosystems, ranging from waters and sediments to aquatic organisms, which potentially suffer from bioaccumulation and biomagnification processes, is essential. High concentrations of ultraviolet filters have been found in samples collected from across the entire planet, even in polar regions, revealing their global distribution.Therefore, interest in the sensitive determination of ultraviolet filters in several marine matrices has increased. In this article, an overall review of the more recently reported analytical chemistry methods for identifying and quantifying these compounds in marine environmental samples is presented. We compare and discuss the potential advantages and disadvantages of every step involved in the analytical procedure, including the pre-treatment, treatment and extraction processes that are required to avoid matrix effects. Moreover, we describe the worldwide occurrence and distribution of those most important UV filters.  相似文献

Photosensitized degradation has been used to remove a broad range of organic pollutants, generally with mineralization to CO2 and other inorganic products such as Cl and . TiO2 and Fe3+ are the photosensitizers mainly used to accelerate the degradation of persistent organic chemicals. Various analytical techniques were used to identify the degradation products and to monitor the degradation kinetics. Chromatographic techniques such as high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), gas chromatography (GC) and ion-exchange were used. Other analytical techniques, such as total organic carbon analysis, UV–visible spectrophotometry, spectrofluorimetry, and potentiometry, were also used. When the photodegradation is carried out in water, extraction methods such liquid–liquid extraction or solid-phase extraction need to be used, followed by GC or HPLC analysis. We review the analytical methods used for the identification of the products formed in photodegradation studies. Kinetic studies of the degradation are also reported.  相似文献

随着地膜在现代化农业中的广泛应用,微塑料在土壤中的残留问题日益严重。环境中释放的微塑料可能会与先前存在的重金属相互作用,导致生物效应(生物积累/毒性),并对人类健康和农产品安全构成威胁。目前,大多数研究集中于单一影响因素在土壤系统中的暴露和转化分析,有关微塑料和共存金属对环境联合影响的相当有限。本文综述了微塑料与重金属来源、相互作用机理与影响因素的研究现状,阐述了陆生植物对二者联合污染的生理响应。此外,未来的研究还应重点探讨微塑料与重金属共同在植物上暴露的具体分子机制、通过食物链对人类健康的影响、与其他混合污染物联合作用及微塑料老化过程对重金属迁移动态变化过程的影响。  相似文献

Stormwater runoff is an important source of microplastics (plastic particles <5 mm) into the aquatic environment and studies documenting the microplastics abundance and their characteristics are constantly expanding. The lack of standardized methods as well as the development of many analytical techniques to evaluate microplastics greatly influence reported results and calls for a better understanding of approaches adopted by microplastic studies in stormwater. Hence, this paper aims to systematically review currently employed methods for sampling, isolating and identifying microplastics and to summarize the data on the abundance of microplastics in the samples of water, sediment and biota collected from stormwater, stormwater catchment areas and stormwater discharging sites. There were significant methodological variations between the studies throughout the experimental procedures and different techniques including, sieving, digestion (chemical and enzyme), density separation and filtration were reported for microplastics extraction from sample matrix. A combination of visual sorting and spectroscopic approaches such as infrared and Raman was adopted to identify and study microplastic characteristics such as shape, size, color and polymer. The microplastic abundance in each sample matrix was different with relatively high concentrations of smaller size particles (10−500 μm), majorly fibrous shaped (51 %) and polymers of polypropylene (27 %) and polyethylene (26 %). Finally, we conclude by identifying analytical challenges and suggesting appropriate methods that can be implemented to enable effective monitoring and comparison of microplastic contamination in stormwater.  相似文献

利用紫外光谱、荧光光谱及圆二色谱(CD)等光谱方法研究了有机农药敌敌畏(DDVP)、乐果(DIM)、氧化乐果(OME)及生物农药申嗪霉素的有效成分吩嗪-1-羧酸(PCA)与端粒脱氧核糖核酸(DNA)间的相互作用。 结果表明,有机农药分子可能主要以嵌入模式与DNA结合,DDVP、DIM、OME以及PCA与端粒DNA之间的表观结合常数分别为:1.17×106、1.48×106、4.52×105和1.80×106 L/mol,与DNA结合能力的大小顺序为PCA>DIM>DDVP>OME。 这些有机农药分子明显不利于DNA双螺旋结构的稳定性。 有机农药分子的嵌入削弱了DNA碱基对之间的π-π堆积作用,对DNA的二级结构有一定的影响,使得DNA的双螺旋结构变得松散。  相似文献

In recent years, water pollution has posed a serious threat to aquatic organisms and humans. Advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) based on activated peroxymonosulfate (PMS) show high oxidation, good selectivity, wide pH range and no secondary pollution in the removal of organic pollutants in water. Carbon-based materials are emerging green catalysts that can effectively activate persulfates to generate radical and non-radical active species to degrade organic pollutants. Compared with transition metal catalysts, carbon-based materials are widely used in SR-AOPs because of their low cost, non-toxicity, acid and alkali resistance, large specific surface area, and scalable surface charge, which can be used for selective control of specific water pollutants. This paper mainly presents several carbon-based materials used to activate PMS, including raw carbon materials and modified carbon materials (heteroatom-doped and metal-doped), analyzes and summarizes the mechanism of activating PMS by carbon-based catalysts, and discusses the influencing factors (temperature, pH, PMS concentration, catalyst concentration, inorganic anions, inorganic cations and dissolved oxygen) in the activation process. Finally, the future challenges and prospects of carbon-based materials in water pollution control are also presented.  相似文献

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are currently popular porous materials with research and application value in various fields. Aiming at the application of MOFs in photocatalysis, this paper mainly reviews the main synthesis methods of MOFs and the latest research progress of MOFs-based photocatalysts to degrade organic pollutants in water, such as organic dyes, pharmaceuticals and personal care products, and other organic pollutants. The main characteristics of different synthesis methods of MOFs, the main design strategies of MOFs-based photocatalysts, and the excellent performance of photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants are summarized. At the end of this paper, the practical application of MOFs, the current limitations of MOFs, the synthesis methods of MOFs, and the future development trend of MOFs photocatalysts are explained.  相似文献

Summary Analytical methods have been developed for the determination of organic pollutants of intermediate polarity in sewage. Water samples are first passed through a solid phase adsorption cartridge. The analytes are then extracted from the absorbent with supercritical CO2 into a small volume of trapping solvent. Finally, the extracts are analyzed directly by capillary gas chromatography and gas chromatography-mass spectrometer. The various parameters (pressure, temperature, type and concentration of modifiers, trapping solvent, flow rate and volume of supercritical fluid and equilibrium time) influencing the efficiency of extraction were studied. Extraction efficiencies for the test compounds are >70%, and relative standard deviations are <4.6% (n=3). The methods established were applied to the analysis of sewage at the Lanzhou Wastewater Treatment Plant, China. 66 organic pollutants were detected, of which 15 compounds appeared in the list of priority pollutants suggested by the US EPA.  相似文献

The coupling of piezocatalysis and photocatalysis known as piezo-photocatalysis has attracted a lot of attention as one of the most effective advanced oxidation process (AOPs) for wastewater treatment, especially for the degradation of organic pollutants and disinfection of microbes. To advance this technology, there’s a need to develop lead free piezoelectric materials to drive both piezocatalytic and photocatalytic process to prevent secondary pollution due to lead toxicity. Hence, barium titanate (BaTiO3) has been widely used as lead free piezoelectric material for several applications including water splitting, bacterial disinfection, and wastewater treatment due to its exceptional optical and piezoelectric properties. This work presents a comprehensive review on the application of BaTiO3 as a promising lead-free piezo-photocatalyst for the catalytic degradation of organic pollutants and bacterial disinfection from aqueous solution. This review article details the optical and piezoelectric properties, modification strategies, and synthetic methods of BaTiO3. Furthermore, the application of BaTiO3 as a preferred piezo-photocatalyst for wastewater treatment and a future perspective is presented.  相似文献

The widespread distribution of plastics, their persistence and ability to act as a vector of toxic chemicals has rendered them concerning emergent pollutants. The quantification of these contaminants is highly relevant for the evaluation of anthropogenic impacts on aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems and dependent of the efficacy of methods to separate microplastics from environmental matrices. Little information is available about the microplastic extraction methods on complex samples – i.e. samples with multiple types of matrices. Herein, methods for the separation of microplastics from complex samples are summarized and discussed based on their advantages and drawbacks focused on a comparative analysis of their efficiency on organic matter removal, polymer recovery and preservation of plastic integrity. The efficiency on microplastic recovery and organic matter reduction, as well as the examination of the effects of treatments on plastics are closely linked to the density and digestion approaches selected, the polymer features and the environmental matrix analyzed. High-density salt solutions are more effective for density separation, while oxidative methods have recurrently shown better rates of organic matter reduction (particularly in vegetal-rich samples) and plastic recovery, with little impact on plastics, while 10 % KOH has been described as highly efficient in samples containing animal organic matter. This comparative analysis highlights the benefits and limitations of different approaches for the analysis of microplastics in complex samples which may be helpful for the optimization and harmonization of the methods.  相似文献
