This paper studies the steady-state availability and the mean up-time of a series–parallel repairable system consisting of one master control unit, two slave units and a single repairman who operates single vacation. Under the assumption that each unit has a constant failure rate and arbitrary repair time distribution, by using the supplementary variable method and the vector Markov process theory, we obtain the explicit expressions for the steady-state probabilities of the system, the steady-state availability and the mean up-time. A special case without vacation is given. Numerical results are provided to investigate the effects of various system parameters on the steady-state availability and the mean up-time.  相似文献

Given a homeomorphism ? ∈ W M 1 , we determine the conditions that guarantee the belonging of the inverse of ? in some Sobolev–Orlicz space W F 1 . We also obtain necessary and sufficient conditions under which a homeomorphism of domains in a Euclidean space induces the bounded composition operator of Sobolev–Orlicz spaces defined by a special class of N-functions. Using these results, we establish requirements on a mapping under which the inverse homeomorphism also induces the bounded composition operator of another pair of Sobolev–Orlicz spaces which is defined by the first pair.  相似文献

When a bonus–malus system with a single set of optimal relativities and a set of simple transition rules is implemented, two inadequacy scenarios are induced because all policyholders are subject to the same a posteriori premium relativities (level transitions) independent of their a priori characteristics (current levels occupied). In this paper we propose a new objective function in the determination of optimal relativities that directly incorporates the a priori expected claim frequencies to partially address one of the inadequacy scenarios. We derive the analytical solution for the optimal relativities under a financial equilibrium constraint. Furthermore, we introduce a metric called effectiveness of transition rules to compare the different specifications of transition rules. We also argue that varying transition rules which are more flexible in addressing the other inadequacy scenario may be more effective than their corresponding simple rules.  相似文献

The dynamics of a discrete-time predator–prey system is investigated in the closed first quadrant R+2. It is shown that the system undergoes flip bifurcation and Neimark–Sacker bifurcation in the interior of R+2 by using a center manifold theorem and bifurcation theory. Numerical simulations are presented not only to illustrate our results with the theoretical analysis, but also to exhibit the complex dynamical behaviors, such as orbits of period 7, 14, 21, 63, 70, cascades of period-doubling bifurcation in orbits of period 2, 4, 8, quasi-periodic orbits and chaotic sets. These results show far richer dynamics of the discrete model compared with the continuous model. Specifically, we have stabilized the chaotic orbits at an unstable fixed point using the feedback control method.  相似文献

In this paper, we analyze the dynamical behaviour of a bioeconomic model system using differential algebraic equations. The system describes a prey–predator fishery with prey dispersal in a two-patch environment, one of which is a free fishing zone and other is a protected zone. It is observed that a singularity-induced bifurcation phenomenon appears when a variation of the economic interest of harvesting is taken into account. We have incorporated a state feedback controller to stabilize the model system in the case of positive economic interest. A discrete-type gestational delay of predators is incorporated, and its effect on the dynamical behaviour of the model is analyzed. The occurrence of Hopf bifurcation of the proposed model with positive economic profit is shown in the neighbourhood of the coexisting equilibrium point through considering the delay as a bifurcation parameter. Finally, some numerical simulations are given to verify the analytical results, and the system is analyzed through graphical illustrations.  相似文献

In this article we propose a nonlocal cross-diffusion–fluid system describing the dynamics of multiple interacting populations living in a Newtonian fluid. First, we derive our nonlocal cross-diffusion–fluid system from a nonlocal kinetic-fluid model by the micro-macro decomposition method. Second, we prove the existence of weak solutions for the proposed system by applying the nonlinear Galerkin method with a priori estimates and compactness arguments. On the basis of micro-macro decomposition, we propose and develop an asymptotic-preserving numerical scheme. Finally, we discuss the computational results for the proposed system.  相似文献

Given two arithmetical functions f, g, we derive, under suitable conditions, asymptotic formulas for the convolution sums ∑ nN f (n) g (n + h) for a fixed number h. To this end, we develop the theory of Ramanujan expansions for arithmetical functions. In this paper, a simultaneous canonical form of a pair of rectangular complex matrices is developed. Using this new tool we give a necessary and sufficient condition to assure that the reverse order law is valid for the weighted Moore–Penrose inverse. It is well known that the L-function associated to a Siegel eigenform f is equal to a Rankin-Selberg type zeta-integral involving f and a restricted Eisenstein series ([3], [14]). At some point in the proof one has to show the equality of a certain Dirichlet series and the L-function, which follows from a rationality theorem for a certain formal power series over the Hecke algebra. This paper considers series solutions of the Sharma–Tasso–Olver (STO) equation. By using the extended homogenous balance method, we reduce the STO equation to a linear PDE and obtain Bäcklund transformation of it. Furthermore, the self-transformation of solutions for the STO equation is obtained. By the Bäcklund transformation and various series solutions of the PDE, abundant exact solutions of the STO equation are obtained including the multi-solitary wave solution, trigonometric function series solution, rational series solution and solution consisting of the three types of solutions.  相似文献
