Data were taken at the energy 2E = 990 MeV to search for multibody events, with the same large solid angle detector which has been used for the measurement of the , ω andφ production by e+e annilations. Assuming a π+ππ0π0 production by the quasi two-body process e+e → → ωπ0 we give the correspondi ng cross section σ(e+e → π+ππ0π0) = (1.1 ± 0.5) 10−32 cm2. Since no events with 3 and 4 charged pions have been observed σ(e+e → π+ππ0π) 1.5 × 10−33 cm2.  相似文献

The time-dependence of the decay rate of initially pure K0 into the final state (π+ππ0) has been studied in search for the decay kS0→π+ππ0. No evidence is found in a sample of 384 observed events. The ratio of the CP -violating KS0 amplitude and the KL0 amplitude is η+−0 = (0.13−0.20+0.17) + i(0.17−0.26+0.27); the ratio of the CP-conserving KS0 amplitude and the KL0 amplitude is < 0.4. The energy dependence of the K0→π+ππ0 matrix element is found to be a+−0 = −0.31 ± 0.03.  相似文献

The reactions πp → 2ππ+p, πp → 2ππ+πop and πp → 2π+n are analysed at 11 and 16 GeV/c using longitudinal phase space (LPS) plots. The weighted LPS distributions for πp → 2ππ+p is dominated by two well separated structures corresponding to single diffraction dissociation of the pion, πp → (2ππ+)p, and of the proton, πp → ππ+p). The former is more abundant than the latter, and both are approximately constant with energy. In contrast, processes of type πp → (2π)(πp) decrease with increasing energy.

In the five-body reactions the weighted LPS distribution reveals especially at 16 GeV/c a maximum for single dissociation of the proton into 3πp, namely πp → ππ+πop); this process is likely to be diffractive. The neutron channel has a corresponding maximum displaced toward a multiperipheral configuration πp → π+)n. Another strong maximum corresponds to the pion dissociation πp → (2ππ+πo)p. This is interpreted to be an ω-exchange process because no analogous structure occurs in πp → (2π+)n. Finally, a broad structure reveals double dissociation of both incident particles; it occurs in the two channels πp → (2ππ+)(πop) and πp → (2ππ+)(π+n), being stronger in the latter. Further analysis of this process in terms of isospin exchange suggests that it is partially diffractive. Factorization is also discussed.

An appendix gives general aspects of the LPS analysis for the asymptotic study of n-body collisions at very high energy.  相似文献

CR-39 polymer samples were irradiated with 50 MeV lithium ion beam; the fluence was varied in the range 1011–1013 ionscm−2. Irradiation effects were studied using UV–visible, FTIR spectroscopic and X-ray diffraction techniques. The observation of the recorded spectra shows that the detector is sensitive to swift ions irradiation and its UV absorption is influenced by the stopping power (dE/dx)e. The FTIR spectra does not show any considerable changes due to the irradiation indicating that the detector is chemically stable. No appreciable change in the diffraction pattern of CR-39 polymer after irradiation upto the fluence level of 1013 ionscm−2 is observed, showing its structural stability also.  相似文献

The arguments are put forward that the many pion decays ω→2π+π0 and π+π0 provide an ideal test site for testing the predictions of chiral models of the vector meson decays into many pions. Using the approach based on the Weinberg Lagrangian or, in a new language, the Lagrangian of hidden local symmetry added with the term induced by the anomalous Lagrangian of Wess and Zumino, the partial widths of these decays are evaluated, and their excitation curves in e+e annihilation are obtained. The discussed are the perspectives of the experimental study of the decays ω→5π in e+e annihilation and photoproduction.  相似文献

We study the ρ0 and φ decays into π+πγ, π0π0γ and φ into π0ηγ using a chiral unitary approach to deal with the final state interaction of the MM system. The final state interaction modifies only moderately the large momenta tail of the photon spectrum of the ρ0→π+πγ decay. In the case of φ decay the contribution to π+πγ and π0π0γ decay proceeds via kaonic loops and gives a distribution of ππ invariant masses in which the f0(980) resonance shows up with a very distinct peak. The spectrum found for φ→π0π0γ decay agrees with the recent experimental results obtained at Novosibirsk. The branching ratio for φ→π0ηγ, dominated by the a0(980), is also in agreement with recent Novosibirsk results.  相似文献

Three luminescence bands in the yellow and red spectral region, which are related to the 1Δg1Δg3Σg 3Σg double electronic transition of O2, have been investigated in the , β, and γ phase of solid oxygen. The temperature dependence of the intensity of the yellow band is strongly influenced by emission from higher vibrational levels of O2(1Δg), which are populated by anharmonic V–V pumping. The broken mirror symmetry of the luminescence and absorption bands in the phase of solid O2 points to an interaction between the electrons and the elementary excitations of the crystal, which is different in the ground and excited electronic states, e.g., a quadratic electron–phonon interaction.  相似文献

The 1H and 23Na spin–lattice and spin–spin relaxation times of NaH3(SeO3)2 single crystals grown using the slow-evaporation method were measured as functions of temperature and frequency in the ferroelectric and paraelectric phases. The changes in the symmetry of the (SeO3)2− dimers as a result of the ferroelectric–paraelectric phase transition are associated with large changes in the spin–lattice and spin–spin relaxation times, and in the number of resonance lines. The large changes in the relaxation times at 195 K indicate that the H and Na ions are significantly affected by this transition. The change in the number of resonance lines for the 1H and 23Na nuclei means that the orientations of the (SeO3)2− dimers and the environments of the Na ions change at TC. Therefore, the orientations of the (SeO3)2− dimers and the environments of the Na ions play important roles in the phase transitions. In conclusion, the ferroelectric–paraelectric phase transition of NaH3(SeO3)2 is accompanied by changes in hydrogen-bond structure and distortions of the (SeO3)2− and Na+ ion lattices, which form a slightly distorted octahedron.  相似文献

The emission of two photons above 25 MeV energy was observed in the capture of stopped pions by beryllium and carbon with a rate of (1.0 ± 0.1) × 10−5, respectively (1.4 ± 0.2) × 10−5 per capture. We calculate the amplitude of the decays η → π0π+π and η → π0π0π0 to first non-leading order in the low-energy expansion. It is shown that the infrared singularities of chiral perturbation theory strongly enhance the perturbation generated by the quark mass term. The corrections of order ms increase the current algebra prediction for the rate by more than a factor of two and remove the well-known discrepancy between the low-energy theorems of current algebra and experiment.  相似文献

We study the nonresonant three-body decays of B+D(*)−sK+π+ and BdDs(*)−K0π+. We find that these decays can provide the information on the time-like form factors of D(*)sK. We also explicitly investigate BdDs(*)−K*+ decays by discriminating the nonresonant contributions with the unknown D(*)s wave functions being fixed by the measured mode of BdDsK+.  相似文献

Parity violating effects due to neutral currents in isoscalar 0+→1+ nuclear transitions induced by electron scattering are enhanced owing to the small isoscalar magnetic dipole strength. A polarization asymmetry of the order 10−4 is expected at q 100 MeV for the 12C transition to the 1+(T = 0) state at 12.71 MeV. It would allow to single out the (electron vector current) × (hardonic axial isoscalar current) quantum numbers and couplings of the neutral current interaction.  相似文献

It is shown that the weak amplitude must also be radiatively corrected for a satisfactory analysis of the neutral current in e+e→μ+μ. Low-temperature (77–300 K) RadioThermoLuminescence (RTL) investigations of Poly(Tetra FluoroEthylene) (PTFE) and Poly(Ethylene TerePhthalate) (PET) foils previously treated by different flux (Φ = 106–1011 cm−2) of Xenon ions with energy 1.1 MeV/nucleon have been showed an essential ion-induced changes in RTL of the both polymers under study. In PET as well as in PTFE significant changes of RTL light yield observed at the ion flux more than 109 cm−2. Variation of RTL light yield in PTFE accompanied by appearance of new TL temperature maxima on the glow curve. An existence of correlation between observed changes of molecular mobility in ion-irradiated polymer and optical (PET) and strength (PTFE) properties have been found.  相似文献

Deuterium diffusion profiles in p-type silicon doped with boron (1017–1019 cm-3) and aluminum (1018 cm-3) are simulated with an improved version of a previously reported model. The new approach, based on the observation of experimental profiles, excludes H2 molecule formation and leads to a reduced fit parameters model. The different diffusion coefficients and activation energies of H0 and H+ species are determined and discussed in the light of available data. The dissociation energies of BH and AlH complexes are also calculated and found to be in good agreement with the corresponding reported values in the literature.  相似文献

We present the results of an AES study of the Si(100) electron-stimulated nitridation at RT by ammonia gas. The influence of the gas pressure and electron beam density on the nitridation rate have been determined within the ranges 10−6–10−9 Torr and 5 × 10−3–5 × 10−2 A/cm2, respectively. The silicon nitride growth rate has been found to be proportional to the electron flux and is enhanced with increased ammonia pressure in the range 10−9–10−7 Torr. Beyond 10−7 Torr the Si nitride growth rate is constant and independent of ammonia pressure. A phenomenological model of electron-stimulated nitridation process is suggested, which is in good agreement with the experimental data. The rate of electron-stimulated nitridation has been deduced.  相似文献
