本文研究了任意维超平面完备残差图和多重超平面完备残差图,将Erd¨os、Harary和Klawe’s定义的平面残差图推广到任意维超平面.利用容斥原理以及集合的运算性质等方法,获得了任意维超平面完备残差图的最小阶和唯一极图,以及任意维超平面完备残差图的一个重要性质,同时获得了多重任意维超平面完备残差图的最小阶和唯一极图.     

ρ-混合序列加权和的完全收敛性

本文研究ρ-混合随机变量序列的加权和.利用文献[10]的矩不等式,在勿需控制混合系数的情况下,得到了完全收敛的充分条件,对“同分布”情形,得到了完全收敛的必要条件,推广了文献[8,10]中的有关结果.     

The ring of global sections of multiples of a line bundle on a toric variety

In this article we prove that for any complete toric variety, and for any Cartier divisor, the ring of global sections of multiples of the line bundle associated to the divisor is finitely generated.

     

A note on the fundamental group of Finsler manifolds with nonnegative flag curvature

In this note we prove that the fundamental group of any forward complete Finsler manifold with nonnegative flag curvature is finitely generated provided the line integral of T-curvature is small. In particular, the fundamental group of any forward complete Berwald manifold with nonnegative flag curvature is finitely generated.     

Strongly Regular Decompositions of the Complete Graph

We study several questions about amorphic association schemes and other strongly regular decompositions of the complete graph. We investigate how two commuting edge-disjoint strongly regular graphs interact. We show that any decomposition of the complete graph into three strongly regular graphs must be an amorphic association scheme. Likewise we show that any decomposition of the complete graph into strongly regular graphs of (negative) Latin square type is an amorphic association scheme. We study strongly regular decompositions of the complete graph consisting of four graphs, and find a primitive counterexample to A.V. Ivanov's conjecture which states that any association scheme consisting of strongly regular graphs only must be amorphic.     

Inequalities for eigenvalues of elliptic operators in divergence form on Riemannian manifolds

In this paper, we study eigenvalues of elliptic operators in divergence form on compact Riemannian manifolds with boundary (possibly empty) and obtain a general inequality for them. By using this inequality, we prove universal inequalities for eigenvalues of elliptic operators in divergence form on compact domains of complete submanifolds in a Euclidean space, and of complete manifolds admitting special functions which include the Hadamard manifolds with Ricci curvature bounded below, a class of warped product manifolds, the product of Euclidean spaces with any complete manifold and manifolds admitting eigenmaps to a sphere.     

Ring graphs and complete intersection toric ideals

We study the family of graphs whose number of primitive cycles equals its cycle rank. It is shown that this family is precisely the family of ring graphs. Then we study the complete intersection property of toric ideals of bipartite graphs and oriented graphs. An interesting application is that complete intersection toric ideals of bipartite graphs correspond to ring graphs and that these ideals are minimally generated by Gröbner bases. We prove that any graph can be oriented such that its toric ideal is a complete intersection with a universal Gröbner basis determined by the cycles. It turns out that bipartite ring graphs are exactly the bipartite graphs that have complete intersection toric ideals for any orientation.     

Line graphs of complete multipartite graphs have small cycle double covers

It has been shown by MacGillivray and Seyffarth (Austral. J. Combin. 24 (2001) 91) that bridgeless line graphs of complete graphs, complete bipartite graphs, and planar graphs have small cycle double covers. In this paper, we extend the result for complete bipartite graphs, and show that the line graph of any complete multipartite graph (other than K_1,2) has a small cycle double cover.

Immortal solution of the Ricci flow

For any complete noncompact Kahler manifold with nonnegative and bounded holomorphic bisectional curvature, we provide the necessary and sufficient condition for the immortal solution to the Ricci flow.

On Vaught’s Conjecture and finitely valued MV algebras

We show that the complete first order theory of an MV algebra has $2^{\aleph _0}$ countable models unless the MV algebra is finitely valued. So, Vaught's Conjecture holds for all MV algebras except, possibly, for finitely valued ones. Additionally, we show that the complete theories of finitely valued MV algebras are $2^{\aleph _0}$ and that all ω‐categorical complete theories of MV algebras are finitely axiomatizable and decidable. As a final result we prove that the free algebra on countably many generators of any locally finite variety of MV algebras is ω‐categorical.     

Barwise's Information Frames and Modal Logics

The article studies Barwise's information frames and settles the problem of Barwise dealing in finding axiomatizations for the modal logics generated by information frames. We find axiomatic systems for: (i) the modal logic of all complete information frames; (ii) the logic of all sound and complete information frames; (iii) the logic of all hereditary and complete information frames; (iv) the logic of all complete, sound, and hereditary information frames; (v) the logic of all consistent and complete information frames. The notion of weak modal logics is also proposed, and it is shown that the weak modal logics generated by all information frames and by all hereditary information frames are K and K4, respectively. Toward a general theory, we prove that any Kripke complete modal logic is a modal logic of a certain class of information frames, and that every modal logic generated by any given class of complete, rarefied, and fully classified information frames is Kripke complete.

Completeness results in probabilistic metric spaces

In this paper, we consider complete probabilistic metrizable (topological) space and prove that any G_δ set in a complete probabilistic metric spaces is a topologically complete probabilistic metrizable space.     

On bipartite zero-divisor graphs

A (finite or infinite) complete bipartite graph together with some end vertices all adjacent to a common vertex is called a complete bipartite graph with a horn. For any bipartite graph G, we show that G is the graph of a commutative semigroup with 0 if and only if it is one of the following graphs: star graph, two-star graph, complete bipartite graph, complete bipartite graph with a horn. We also prove that a zero-divisor graph is bipartite if and only if it contains no triangles. In addition, we give all corresponding zero-divisor semigroups of a class of complete bipartite graphs with a horn and determine which complete r-partite graphs with a horn have a corresponding semigroup for r≥3.     

Monochromatic Cycle Partitions in Local Edge Colorings

An edge coloring of a graph is said to be an r‐local coloring if the edges incident to any vertex are colored with at most r colors. Generalizing a result of Bessy and Thomassé, we prove that the vertex set of any 2‐locally colored complete graph may be partitioned into two disjoint monochromatic cycles of different colors. Moreover, for any natural number r, we show that the vertex set of any r‐locally colored complete graph may be partitioned into disjoint monochromatic cycles. This generalizes a result of Erd?s, Gyárfás, and Pyber.     

On encodings of spanning trees

Deo and Micikevicius recently gave a new bijection for spanning trees of complete bipartite graphs. In this paper we devise a generalization of Deo and Micikevicius's method, which is also a modification of Olah's method for encoding the spanning trees of any complete multipartite graph K(n₁,…,n_r). We also give a bijection between the spanning trees of a planar graph and those of any of its planar duals. Finally we discuss the possibility of bijections for spanning trees of DeBriujn graphs, cubes, and regular graphs such as the Petersen graph that have integer eigenvalues.
