We show that the category of internal groupoids in an exact Mal'tsev category is reflective, and, moreover, a Birkhoff subcategory of the category of simplicial objects. We then characterize the central extensions of the corresponding Galois structure, and show that regular epimorphisms admit a relative monotone-light factorization system in the sense of Chikhladze. We also draw some comparison with Kan complexes. By comparing the reflections of simplicial objects and reflexive graphs into groupoids, we exhibit a connection with weighted commutators (as defined by Gran, Janelidze and Ursini).  相似文献

This paper develops the foundations of a simplicial theory of weak ω-categories, which builds upon the insights originally expounded by Ross Street in his 1987 paper on oriented simplices. The resulting theory of weak complicial sets provides a common generalisation of the theories of (strict) ω-categories, Kan complexes and Joyal's quasi-categories. We generalise a number of results due to the current author with regard to complicial sets and strict ω-categories to provide an armoury of well behaved technical devices, such as joins and Gray tensor products, which will be used to study the weak ω-category theory of these structures in a series of companion papers. In particular, we establish their basic homotopy theory by constructing a Quillen model structure on the category of stratified simplicial sets whose fibrant objects are the weak complicial sets. As a simple corollary of this work we provide an independent construction of Joyal's model structure on simplicial sets for which the fibrant objects are the quasi-categories.  相似文献

We show that an nn-geometric stack may be regarded as a special kind of simplicial scheme, namely a Duskin nn-hypergroupoid in affine schemes, where surjectivity is defined in terms of covering maps, yielding Artin nn-stacks, Deligne–Mumford nn-stacks and nn-schemes as the notion of covering varies. This formulation adapts to all HAG contexts, so in particular works for derived nn-stacks (replacing rings with simplicial rings). We exploit this to describe quasi-coherent sheaves and complexes on these stacks, and to draw comparisons with Kontsevich’s dg-schemes. As an application, we show how the cotangent complex controls infinitesimal deformations of higher and derived stacks.  相似文献

Extriangulated category was introduced by H.Nakaoka and Y.Palu to give a unification of properties in exact categories anjd triangulated categories.A notion of tilting(resp.,cotilting)subcategories in an extriangulated category is defined in this paper.We give a Bazzoni characterization of tilting(resp.,cotilting)subcategories and obtain an Auslander-Reiten correspondence between tilting(resp.,cotilting)subcategories and coresolving covariantly(resp.,resolving contravariantly)finite subcatgories which are closed under direct summands and satisfy some cogenerating(resp.,generating)conditions.Applications of the results are given:we show that tilting(resp.,cotilting)subcategories defined here unify many previous works about tilting modules(subcategories)in module categories of Artin algebras and in abelian categories admitting a cotorsion triples;we also show that the results work for the triangulated categories with a proper class of triangles introduced by A.Beligiannis.  相似文献

A natural generalization of locally noetherian and locally coherent categories leads us to define locally type FP categories. They include not just all categories of modules over a ring, but also the category of sheaves over any concentrated scheme. In this setting we generalize and study the absolutely clean objects recently introduced in [5 Bravo, D., Gillespie, J., Hovey, M. The stable module category of a general ring (arXiv:1405.5768). [Google Scholar]]. We show that 𝒟(𝒜𝒞), the derived category of absolutely clean objects, is always compactly generated and that it is embedded in K(Inj), the chain homotopy category of injectives, as a full subcategory containing the DG-injectives. Assuming the ground category 𝒢 has a set of generators satisfying a certain vanishing property, we also show that there is a recollement relating 𝒟(𝒜𝒞) to the (also compactly generated) derived category 𝒟(𝒢). Finally, we generalize the Gorenstein AC-injectives of [5 Bravo, D., Gillespie, J., Hovey, M. We describe a cofibrantly generated Quillen model structure on the locally finitely presentable category 2-Cat of (small) 2-categories and 2-functors; the weak equivalences are the biequivalences, and the homotopy relation on 2-functors is just pseudonatural equivalence. The model structure is proper, and is compatible with the monoidal structure given by the Gray tensor product. It is not compatible with the Cartesian closed structure, in which the tensor product is the product.The model structure restricts to a model structure on the full subcategory PsGpd of 2-Cat, consisting of those 2-categories in which every arrow is an equivalence and every 2-cell is invertible. The model structure on PsGpd is once again proper, and compatible with the monoidal structure given by the Gray tensor product.  相似文献

In this paper we compare the efficiency of several simplicial variable dimension algorithms. To do so, we first treat the issues of degeneracy and accelerating. We present a device for solving degeneracy. Furthermore we compare several accelerating techniques. The technique of iterated quasi-Newton steps after each major cycle of the simplicial algorithm is implemented in a computer code, which is used to compare the efficiency of the (n+1)-ray, 2n-ray, 2 n -ray and (3 n −1)-ray algorithms. Except for the (n+1)-ray algorithm, the number of function evaluations does not differ very much between the various algorithms. It appeared, however, that the 2 n -algorithm needs considerably less computation time.  相似文献

For several important classes of manifolds acted on by the torus, the information about the action can be encoded combinatorially by a regular n-valent graph with vector labels on its edges, which we refer to as the torus graph. By analogy with the GKM-graphs, we introduce the notion of equivariant cohomology of a torus graph, and show that it is isomorphic to the face ring of the associated simplicial poset. This extends a series of previous results on the equivariant cohomology of torus manifolds. As a primary combinatorial application, we show that a simplicial poset is Cohen-Macaulay if its face ring is Cohen-Macaulay. This completes the algebraic characterisation of Cohen-Macaulay posets initiated by Stanley. We also study blow-ups of torus graphs and manifolds from both the algebraic and the topological points of view.  相似文献

We prove that the homotopy theory of parametrized spaces embeds fully and faithfully in the homotopy theory of simplicial presheaves, and that its essential image consists of the locally homotopically constant objects. This gives a homotopy-theoretic version of the classical identification of covering spaces with locally constant sheaves. We also prove a new version of the classical result that spaces parametrized over X are equivalent to spaces with an action of ΩX. This gives a homotopy-theoretic version of the correspondence between covering spaces and π1-sets. We then use these two equivalences to study base change functors for parametrized spaces.  相似文献

The notion of 𝒟-mutation pairs of subcategories in an abelian category is defined in this article. When (𝒵,𝒵) is a 𝒟-mutation pair in an abelian category 𝒜, the quotient category 𝒵𝒟 carries naturally a triangulated structure. Moreover, our result generalize the construction of the quotient triangulated category by Happel [10 Happel, D. (1988). Triangulated Categories in the Representation of Finite Dimensional Algebras. Using categorical techniques we obtain some results on localization and colocalization theory in Grothendieck categories with a set of small projective generators. In particular, we give a sufficient condition for such category to be semiartinian. For semiartinian Grothendieck categories where every simple object has a projective cover, we obtain that every localizing subcategory is a TTF-class. In addition, some applications to semiperfect categories are obtained.  相似文献
