Heredity and Coreflective Subcategories of the Category of Topological Spaces

Every hereditary coreflective subcategory of Top containing the category of finitely-generated spaces is shown to be generated by a class of spaces having a unique accumulation point. It is also shown that the coreflective hull of a union of two hereditary coreflective subcategories of Top need not be hereditary so that a coreflective subcategory of Top need not have a hereditary coreflective kernel.

空间式locale范畴SLoc是locale范畴Loc的余反射满子范畴,但对locale乘积不封闭．本文引入弱空间式locale,证明弱空间式locale范畴WSloc为范畴Loc的余反射满子范畴,且对locale秉积封闭．还证明了一个locale A是空间式的当且仅当它的枝映射localeN(A)是弱空间式的;一个空问式locale的每一个子locale都是空间式的当且仅当它的每一个子locale是弱空间式的．最后,证明了弱空间式性在定向函子下保持不变．     

The homotopy category of complexes of projective modules

The homotopy category of complexes of projective left-modules over any reasonably nice ring is proved to be a compactly generated triangulated category, and a duality is given between its subcategory of compact objects and the finite derived category of right-modules.     

Mutation Pairs in Abelian Categories

A notion of mutation pairs of subcategories in an abelian category is defined in this article. For an extension closed subcategory 𝒵 and a rigid subcategory 𝒟 ? 𝒵, the subfactor category 𝒵/[𝒟] is also a triangulated category whenever (𝒵, 𝒵) forms a 𝒟-mutation pair. Moreover, if 𝒟 and 𝒵 satisfy certain conditions in modΛ, the category of finitely generated Λ-modules over an artin algebra Λ, the triangulated category 𝒵/[𝒟] has a Serre functor.

本文给出了局部定向完备集的概念及其在此结构下的一种新的双小于关系，从而进一步给出了一种新的连续性概念，接着讨论了局部定向完备集，连续的局部定向完备集等对象的一些性质，最后考察了三种范畴的笛卡儿闭性，并证明了范畴LDCPO是范畴ALG的反射满子范畴．     

Representation theorems for directed completions of consistent algebraic L-domains

In this paper, consistent algebraic L-domains are considered. One algebraic and two topological characterization theorems for their directed completions are given. It is proved that eliminating a set of maximal elements with empty interior from an algebraic L-domain results a consistent algebraic L-domain whose directed completion is just the given algebraic L-domain up to isomorphism. It is also proved that the category CALDOM of consistent algebraic L-domains and Scott continuous maps is Cartesian closed and has the category ALDOM of algebraic L-domains and Scott continuous maps as a full reflective subcategory. Smashing subcategories and the telescope conjecture – an algebraic approach

We prove a modified version of Ravenel’s telescope conjecture. It is shown that every smashing subcategory of the stable homotopy category is generated by a set of maps between finite spectra. This result is based on a new characterization of smashing subcategories, which leads in addition to a classification of these subcategories in terms of the category of finite spectra. The approach presented here is purely algebraic; it is based on an analysis of pure-injective objects in a compactly generated triangulated category, and covers therefore also situations arising in algebraic geometry and representation theory. 研究了Domain理论中的事件结构及其对应的domain结构,证明了事件结构生成的L-事件domain恰好是具有性质I的代数L-domain。特别地,本文通过稳定事件生成的事件domain,证明了以线性映射为态射、以DI-domain为对象的范畴是以稳定映射为态射、以具有性质I的代数L-domain为对象的范畴的反射子范畴。     

DISCRETE UNIFORM STRUCTURES AND QUASITOPOI

It is known that no non-trivial subcategory of the category of topological spares is a quasitopos in the sense of Penon. The purpose of this note is to establish the existence of a proper class of sub-categories of the category of uniform spaces which are quasitopoi. These subcategories are generated by certain proximally discrete uniform spaces which correspond to each infinite regular cardinal.     

A remark on the generalized smashing conjecture

Using one of Wodzicki's examples ofH-unital algebras [14] we exhibit a ring whose derived category contains a smashing subcategory which is not generated by small objects. This disproves the generalization to arbitrary triangulated categories of a conjecture due to Ravenel [8, 1.33] and, originally, Bousfield [2, 3.4].     

Definable categories

We introduce the notion of a definable category–a category equivalent to a full subcategory of a locally finitely presentable category that is closed under products, directed colimits and pure subobjects. Definable subcategories are precisely the finite-injectivity classes. We prove a 2-duality between the 2-category of small exact categories and the 2-category of definable categories, and provide a new proof of its additive version. We further introduce a third vertex of the 2-category of regular toposes and show that the diagram of 2-(anti-)equivalences between three 2-categories commutes; the corresponding additive triangle is well-known.     

Locally Stable Grothendieck Categories: Applications

We introduce for any Grothendieck category the notion of stable localizing subcategory, as a localizing subcategory that can be written as an intersection of localizing subcategories defined by indecomposable injectives. A Grothendieck category in which every localizing subcategory is stable is called a locally stable category. As a main result we give a characterization of these categories in terms of the local stability of a localizing subcategory and its quotient category. The locally coirreducible categories (in particular, the categories with Gabriel dimension) and the locally noetherian categories are examples of locally stable categories. We also present some applications to the category of modules over a left fully bounded noetherian ring, to the category of comodules over a coalgebra and to the category of modules over graded rings.     

Classifying subcategories of modules over a commutative noetherian ring

Let R be a quotient ring of a commutative coherent regular ringby a finitely generated ideal. Hovey gave a bijection betweenthe set of coherent subcategories of the category of finitelypresented R-modules and the set of thick subcategories of thederived category of perfect R-complexes. Using this bijection,he proved that every coherent subcategory of finitely presentedR-modules is a Serre subcategory. In this paper, it is provedthat this holds whenever R is a commutative noetherian ring.This paper also yields a module version of the bijection betweenthe set of localizing subcategories of the derived categoryof R-modules and the set of subsets of Spec R which was givenby Neeman.     

Axiomatizing subcategories of Abelian categories

We investigate how to characterize subcategories of abelian categories in terms of intrinsic axioms. In particular, we find axioms which characterize generating cogenerating functorially finite subcategories, precluster tilting subcategories, and cluster tilting subcategories of abelian categories. As a consequence we prove that any d-abelian category is equivalent to a d-cluster tilting subcategory of an abelian category, without any assumption on the categories being projectively generated.     

The quasitopos hull of the category of uniform spaces

The quasitopos hull of a concrete categoryKis the least cartesian closed topological category with representable strong partial morphisms, containingKas a dense subcategory. The quasitopos hull of the category of uniform spaces is described: its objects are submetrizable bornological merotopic spaces, i.e., merotopic spaces endowed with a collection of ‘bounded’ sets related to the merotopy which is, in addition, generated by partial pseudometrics.     

Subcategories of fixed points of mutations by exceptional objects in triangulated categories

We first prove that the subcategory of fixed points of mutation determined by an exceptional object E in a triangulated category coincide with the perpendicular category of E. Based on this characterisation, we prove that the subcategory of fixed points of mutation in the derived category of the coherent sheaves on weighted projective line with genus one is equivalent to the derived category of a hereditary algebra. Meanwhile, we induce two new recollements by left and right mutations from a given recollement.     

The Answer to a Problem Posed by Zhao and Ho

Zhao and Ho asked in a recent paper that for each T_0 space X, whether KB(X)(the set of all irreducible closed sets of X whose suprema exist) is the canonical k-bounded sobrification of X in the sense of Keimel and Lawson. In this paper, we construct a counterexample to give a negative answer. We also consider the subcategory Top_κ of the category Top_0 of T_0 spaces, and prove that the category KBSob of k-bounded sober spaces is a full reflective subcategory of the category Top_κ.

Z-Quantale及其范畴性质

本文把集系统的概念应用到Quantale理论中,作为Quantale的一般化,引入了Z-quantale的概念,研究了Z-quantale及其范畴的若干性质.主要结果有:证明了Z-quantale范畴是序半群范畴的反射子范畴,凝聚Z-quantale范畴是Z-quantale范畴的余反射子范畴.讨论了Z-quantale范畴中的投射对象,证明了Z-quantale A是E-投射的当且仅当它是稳定Z-连续的.     

Limit分子格

通过在完全分配格上引入理想收敛,给出ｌｉｍｉｔ分子格及其范畴,证明了其是包含拓扑分子格范畴为全反射范畴的笛卡儿闭范畴．
