A thiacalix[4]arene based fluorescent chemosensor 3 in the cone conformation has been synthesized and its recognition behaviour is evaluated toward various metal ions in mixed aqueous media. The chemosensor 3 showed high selectivity towards Fe(3+) ions by fluorescence quenching of excimer emission. Further, evaluation of the 3·Fe(3+) complex prepared in situ demonstrated great promise for the detection of the Fe(3+) ion in the presence of amino acids, blood serum and bovine serum albumin (BSA) solution. The compound 3 has suitable permeability into the PC3 cells and can be utilized as a Fe(3+) selective sensor in living cells (PC3 cells).  相似文献

A novel multifunctional microsphere with a fluorescent CdTe quantum dots (QDs) shell and a magnetic core (Fe(3)O(4)) has been successfully developed and prepared by a combination of the hydrothermal method and layer-by-layer (LBL) self-assembly technique. The resulting fluorescent Fe(3)O(4)@C@CdTe core/shell microspheres are utilized as a chemosensor for ultrasensitive Cu(2+) ion detection. The fluorescence of the obtained chemosensor could be quenched effectively by Cu(2+) ions. The quenching mechanism was studied and the results showed the existence of both static and dynamic quenching processes. However, static quenching is the more prominent of the two. The modified Stern-Volmer equation showed a good linear response (R(2) = 0.9957) in the range 1-10 μM with a quenching constant (K(sv)) of 4.9 × 10(4) M(-1). Most importantly, magnetic measurements showed that the Fe(3)O(4)@C@CdTe core/shell microspheres were superparamagnetic and they could be separated and collected easily using a commercial magnet in 10 s. These results obtained not only provide a way to solve the embarrassments in practical sensing applications of QDs, but also enable the fabrication of other multifunctional nanostructure-based hybrid nanomaterials.  相似文献

A new type of fluorescent chemosensor based on homooxacalix[3]arene was synthesized. The fluorescent sensor was highly selective for Pb(2+) in comparison with other metal ions tested by enhancement of the monomer emission of pyrene. The C(3) symmetric structure of homooxacalix[3]arene has potential application in the development of a new ratiometric fluorescent chemosensor for heavy metal ions.  相似文献

A novel fluorescence chemosensor based on 2,6-dicarbonylpyridine was designed and synthesized and its photophysical properties were characterized. Upon coordination of Co(2+) by the central 2,6-dicarbonylpyridinyl functional group, the chemosensor 2,6-bis(4-diphenylamino-styrylcarbonyl)pyridine (PhPy) showed nearly complete fluorescence quenching, while no fluorescence response was seen towards other competing cations. The experimental results show the chemosensor is highly selective and sensitive towards Co(2+) in the presence of competing ions, even in the ppb range. Job plot analysis was carried out and the results suggested that the binding of PhPy and Co(2+) was probably a 2?:?1 stoichiometry.  相似文献

A series of 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition products of functionalized nitrones with 1,3-propene sultone and maleimide was synthesized through a multi-step scheme. Their fluorescent response to different metal ions was examined. Selective quenching of the fluorescent materials by Cu(II), Fe(III), and Ru(III) in acetonitrile was demonstrated, providing access to new chemosensor design for selected transition metals.  相似文献

A new fluorescent peptidyl chemosensor based on the mercury binding MerP protein with fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) capabilities has been synthesized via Fmoc solid-phase peptide synthesis. The metal chelating unit, which is flanked by the fluorophores tryptophan (donor) and dansyl (acceptor), contains amino acids from MerP's metal binding loop (sequence: dansyl-Gly-Gly-Thr-Leu-Ala-Val-Pro-Gly-Met-Thr-Cys-Ala-Ala-Cys-Pro-Ile-Thr-Val-Lys-Lys-Gly-Gly-Trp-CONH(2)). A FRET enhancement or 'turn-on' response was observed for Hg(2+) as well as for Zn(2+), Cd(2+) and Ag(+) in a pure aqueous solution at pH 7.0. The emission intensity of the acceptor was used to monitor the concentration of these metals ions with detection limits of 280, 6, 103 and 496 microg L(-1), respectively. No response was observed for the other transition, alkali and alkaline earth metals tested. The fluorescent enhancement observed is unique for Hg(2+) since this metal generally quenches fluorescence. The acceptor fluorescence increase resulting from metal binding-induced FRET suggests a sensor that is inherently more sensitive than one based on quenching by the binding event.  相似文献

[structure: see text]. A new fluorescent chemosensor for Cu2+ ions was synthesized by modifying the tripeptide glycyl-histidyl-lysine (GHK) with 9-carbonylanthracene via the standard Fmoc solid-phase peptide synthesis method. While significant fluorescence quenching was observed from the molecule upon binding with Cu2+, addition of Fe2+, Co2+, Ni2+, and Zn2+ to the peptide solution caused a minimum fluorescence emission spectral change, indicating a high specificity of this chemosensor for Cu2+ ions. Effects of pH were also investigated.  相似文献

A new 2,6-bis(5,6-dihydrobenzo[4,5]imidazo[1,2-c]quinazolin-6-yl)-4-methylphenol (1) serves as a highly selective and sensitive fluorescent probe for Zn(2+) in a HEPES buffer (50 mM, DMSO:water = 1:9 (v/v), pH = 7.2) at 25 °C. The increase in fluorescence in the presence of Zn(2+) is accounted for by the formation of dinuclear Zn(2+) complex [Zn(2)(C(35)H(25)N(6)O)(OH)(NO(3))(2)(H(2)O)] (2), characterized by X-ray crystallography. The fluorescence quantum yield of the chemosensor 1 is only 0.019, and it increases more than 12-fold (0.237) in the presence of 2 equiv of the zinc ion. Interestingly, the introduction of other metal ions causes the fluorescence intensity to be either unchanged or weakened. By incubation of cultured living cells (A375 and HT-29) with the chemosensor 1, intracellular Zn(2+) concentrations could be monitored through selective fluorescence chemosensing.  相似文献

A new fluorescent peptidyl chemosensor for Cu2+ ions with fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) capabilities has been synthesized via Fmoc solid-phase peptide synthesis. The metal chelating unit, which is flanked by the fluorophores tryptophan (donor) and dansyl chloride (acceptor), consists of the amino acids glycine and aspartic acid (Gly-Gly-Asp-Gly-Gly-Asp-Gly-Gly-Asp-Gly-Gly-Asp-Gly-Gly). Coordination of the Cu2+ ions to the metal chelating unit results in fluorescent quenching of both the donor and acceptor fluorophores. Although it was determined that Cu2+ binding causes no change in FRET efficiency, emission and Cu2+-induced quenching of the acceptor dye can be used to monitor the concentration of the copper ions, with a detection limit of 32 μg L−1. The sensor also demonstrated sensitivity, reversibility and selectivity towards Cu2+ in a transition metal matrix at pH 7.0.  相似文献

The fluorescent chemosensors 3, 5 and 7 based on thiacalix[4]arene bearing naphthyl groups have been designed and synthesized. The optical chemosensor 3 based on a thiacalix[4]arene of cone conformation behaves as "turn-on" optical chemosensor for Fe(3+) and F(-) ions. However, chemosensors 5 and 7 based on a thiacalix[4]arene of 1,3-alternate conformation demonstrate "turn-on" optical behaviour for Hg(2+), F(-) ions (with receptor 5 as turn-on for K(+) ions also) and "turn-off" behaviour for Fe(3+) ions. The simultaneous presence of Fe(3+) and Hg(2+) or K(+) or F(-) ions results in formulation of reversible "on-off" switches. Various molecular logic gates developed in response to molecular switching between these chemical inputs have been integrated into sequential logic circuits with memory function in a feedback loop which mimics "set-reset" molecular level information processing device.  相似文献

A new redox, chromogenic, and fluorescent chemosensor molecule based on a deazapurine ring selectively senses aqueous Pb2+ in acetonitrile over other metal ions examined: redox shift (DeltaE1/2 = 0.15 V of the Fe(II)/Fe(III) redox couple), the colorless to orange color change, and an emission change of 620-fold, with an unprecedented detection limit of 2.7 microg L-1. The signal transduction occurs via a reversible CHEF with this inherent quenching metal ion.  相似文献

A novel rhodamine-based highly sensitive and selective colorimetric off-on fluorescent chemosensor for Hg(2+) ions is designed and prepared by using the well-known thiospirolactam rhodamine chromophore and furfural hydrazone as signal-reporting groups. The photophysical characterization and Hg(2+)-binding properties of sensor RS1 in neutral N, N-dimethylformamide (DMF) aqueous solution are also investigated. The signal change of the chemosensor is based on a specific metal ion induced reversible ring-opening mechanism of the rhodamine spirolactam. The response of the chemosensor for Hg(2+) ions is instantaneous and reversible. And it successfully exhibits a remarkably "turn on" response toward Hg(2+) over other metal ions (even those that exist in high concentration). Moreover, this sensor is applied for in vivo imaging in Rat Schwann cells to confirm that RS1 can be used as a fluorescent probe for monitoring Hg(2+) in living cells with satisfying results, which further demonstrates its value of practical applications in environmental and biological systems.  相似文献

A thiacalix[4]arene based chemosensor 3 bearing two pyrene groups has been synthesized which demonstrates ratiometric sensing with Ag(+) and fluorescence quenching with Fe(3+) ions in mixed aqueous media. The 'in situ' prepared Ag(+) and Fe(3+) complexes showed high selectivity toward cysteine. The molecular switching between three chemical inputs (Ag(+), Fe(3+), cysteine) results in various molecular logic gates which have been integrated sequentially to generate a sequential information processing device.  相似文献

The synthesis and evaluation of a novel calix[4]arene-based fluorescent chemosensor 8 for the detection of Cd(2+) and Zn(2+) is described. The fluorescent spectra changes observed upon addition of various metal ions show that 8 is highly selective for Cd(2+) and Zn(2+) over other metal ions. Addition of Cd(2+) and Zn(2+) to the solution of 8 results in ratiometric measurement.  相似文献

In the present work, a two-photon excited fluorescent chemosensor for Cu(2+) was prepared. The probe was constructed on the basis of internal charge transfer (ICT) principle with macrocyclic dioxotetraamine as the Cu(2+) receptor. The good water-solubility of the molecule enabled recognition and assay of Cu(2+) ions in biological media. The photophysical properties of the chemosensor were investigated in detail, exhibiting favorable fluorescence quantum yield and moderate two-photon absorption cross-section. The studies on binding thermodynamics demonstrated the formation of 1?:?1 complex between the chemosensor and Cu(2+) and an association constant of ca. 1.04 × 10(5) M(-1). Due to the rational design of the molecular structure, the sensor was highly specific to Cu(2+), which ensured high selectivity in Cu(2+) determination. Upon Cu(2+) binding, the intramolecular charge-transfer extent within the chromophore was weakened resulting in a remarkable quenching of fluorescence, based on which quantitative determination of Cu(2+) was performed. Good linearity was obtained between the fluorescence quenching value and Cu(2+) concentration ranging from 0.04 to 2.0 μM in aqueous solution. Benefiting from the merits of two-photon excitation, the chemosensor was free of interference from background luminescence in serum. A homogeneous quantitative determination of Cu(2+) was achieved in the serum medium with a linear range of 0.04 to 2.0 μM. Considering the structural flexibility of the sensor, this work also opens up the possibility to construct other two-photon excited chemosensors for direct homogeneous assay of various molecules/ions in complicated biological sample matrices.  相似文献

A selective and sensitive fluorescent chemosensor for Hg2+, which was composed of two aminonaphthalimide fluorophores and a receptor of 2,6-bis(aminomethyl)pyridine, was synthesized through the reaction of 2,6-bis(chloromethyl)pyridine and N-[2-(2-hydroxyethoxy)ethyl]-4-piperazino-1,8-naphthalimide. The chemosensor showed an about 17-fold increase in fluorescence quantum yield upon addition of 1 equiv of Hg2+ in neutral buffer aqueous solution, and the other common metal ions did not notably disturb the detection of Hg2+.  相似文献

A dye intermediate, 1-amino-8-naphthol-3,6-disulfonic acid sodium (ANDS) was first used to selectively recognize Hg(II) in aqueous solutions with its fluorescence being strong quenched. The fluorescence quenching of ANDS was attributed to the formation of an inclusion complex between Hg(II) and ANDS by 2:1 complex ratio (K=6.2 x 10(9)), which has been utilized as the basis of the fabrication of the Hg(II)-sensitive fluorescent chemosensor. The analytical performance characteristics of the proposed chemosensor were investigated. The sensor shows a linear response toward Hg(II) in the concentration range 2.9 x 10(-6) to 5.5 x 10(-5)M with a limit of detection of 5.3 x 10(-7)M, and a working pH range from 5.0 to 9.0. It shows excellent selectivity for Hg(II) over a large number of cations such as alkali, alkaline earth and transitional metal ions. The proposed method was utilized successfully for the detection of Hg(2+) in water samples.  相似文献

A poly(amine ester) dendrimer with naphthyl units (G1N6) has been synthesized as a fluorescent chemosensor for metal ions. We investigated the metal-ion recognition of G1N6 by adding each of Ag(+), Al(3+), Ba(2+), Ca(2+), Cd(2+), Co(2+), Cu(2+), Fe(3+), Mg(2+), Ni(2+), and Zn(2+) in acetonitrile solution. Large changes were observed in the fluorescence spectra of G1N6 upon the addition of Al(3+), Cu(2+), and Zn(2+).  相似文献
