Two isospectral problems are constructed with the help of a 6-dimensional Lie algebra. By using the Tu scheme, a (1 + 1)-dimensional expanding integrable couplings of the KdV hierarchy is obtained and the corresponding Hamiltonian structure is established. In addition, the 2-order matrix operators proposed by Tuguizhang are extended to the case where some 4-order matrices are given. Based on the extension, a new hierarchy of 2 + 1 dimensions is obtained by the Hamiltonian operator of the above (1 + 1)-dimensional case and the TAH scheme. The new hierarchy of 2 + 1 dimensions can be reduced to a coupled (2 + 1)-dimensional nonlinear equation and furthermore it can be reduced to the (2 + 1)-dimensional KdV equation which has important physics applications. The Hamiltonian structure for the (2 + 1)-dimensional hierarchy is derived with the aid of an extended trace identity. To the best of our knowledge, generating the (2 + 1)-dimensional equation hierarchies by virtue of the TAH scheme has not been studied in detail except to previous little work by Tu et al.  相似文献

Using the idea of transformation, some links between (2 + 1)-dimensional nonlinear evolution equations and the ordinary differential equations Painlevé-II equations has been illustrated. The Kadomtsev–Petviashvili (KP) equation, generalized (2 + 1)-dimensional break soliton equation and (2 + 1)-dimensional Boussinesq equation are researched. As a result, some new interesting results about these (2 + 1)-dimensional PDEs have been obtained, such as the exact solutions with arbitrary functions, rich rational solutions and the nontrivial Bäcklund transformations have been derived.  相似文献

Based on the Pfaffian derivative formula and Hirota bilinear method, the Pfaffian solutions to (3 + 1)-dimensional Jimbo–Miwa equation are obtained under a set of linear partial differential condition. Moreover, we extend the linear partial differential condition and proved that (3 + 1)-dimensional Jimbo–Miwa equation has extended Pfaffian solutions. As examples, special exact two-soliton solution and three-soliton solution are computed and plotted. Our results show that (3 + 1)-dimensional Jimbo–Miwa equation has Pfaffian solutions like BKP equation.  相似文献

The mathematical expressions for the commutativity or self-duality of an increasing [0, 1]2  [0, 1] function F involve the transposition of its arguments. We unite both properties in a single functional equation. The solutions of this functional equation are discussed. Special attention goes to the geometrical construction of these solutions and their characterization in terms of contour lines. Furthermore, it is shown how ‘rotating’ the arguments of F allows to convert the results into properties for [0, 1]2  [0, 1] functions having monotone partial functions.  相似文献

The present paper deals with the economic optimization of a series of 15 bridge piers with rectangular hollow sections. It combines height columns of 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 m and viaducts of 40, 50 and 60 m of main intermediate spans. The optimization uses a variant of the ant colony method. Results show the variation in geometry, concrete quality, reinforcement and cost, both in the footings and in the main column, as the columns gain height and the viaducts grow in span length.  相似文献

This paper examines how three eighth grade students coordinated lower and higher dimensional units (e.g., composite units and pairs) in the context of constructing a formula for evaluating sums of consecutive whole numbers while solving combinatorics problems (e.g., 1 + 2 +  + 15 = (16 × 15)/2). The data is drawn from the beginning of an 8-month teaching experiment. The findings from the study include: (1) a framework for understanding how students coordinate lower and higher dimensional units; (2) identification of key learning that occurred as students made the transition between solving two kinds of combinatorics problems; and (3) identification of the links between the way students’ coordinated lower and higher dimensional units and their evaluation of sums of consecutive whole numbers. Implications for research and teaching are considered.  相似文献

This paper deals with the minimum cost automatic design of precast bridge decks made of U-beams and an upper slab. It uses a hybrid memetic algorithm that combines the population search of solutions by genetic algorithms and a search by variable neighborhood. This algorithm is applied to a bridge made of two isostatic U-beams of 20-40 m of span and a width of 12 m. This example has 40 discrete variables. The evaluation module takes into account the service and ultimate limit states usually considered for these structures, i.e. flexure, shear, torsion, cracking, deflections, etc. The use of the memetic algorithm requires its previous calibration. Each of the heuristics is run 12 times, obtaining information about the minimum and average values, as well as the scatter. The parametric study showed a good correlation for the cost, the number of strands and the steel and concrete quantities with the span length. Savings have been found between 8 and 50% compared to other structures really executed. The presented procedure allows the practical application to the real design and its adaptation to the precast process.  相似文献

A function which is homogeneous in x, y, z of degree n and satisfies Vxx + Vyy + Vzz = 0 is called a spherical harmonic. In polar coordinates, the spherical harmonics take the form rnfn, where fn is a spherical surface harmonic of degree n. On a sphere, fn satisfies ▵ fn + n(n + 1)fn = 0, where ▵ is the spherical Laplacian. Bounded spherical surface harmonics are well studied, but in certain instances, unbounded spherical surface harmonics may be of interest. For example, if X is a parameterization of a minimal surface and n is the corresponding unit normal, it is known that the support function, w = X · n, satisfies ▵w + 2w = 0 on a branched covering of a sphere with some points removed. While simple in form, the boundary value problem for the support function has a very rich solution set. We illustrate this by using spherical harmonics of degree one to construct a number of classical genus-zero minimal surfaces such as the catenoid, the helicoid, Enneper's surface, and Hennenberg's surface, and Riemann's family of singly periodic genus-one minimal surfaces.  相似文献

In this paper, we use the differential form method to seek Lie point symmetries of a (2 + 1)-dimensional Camassa–Holm (CH) system based on its Lax pair. Then we reduce both the system and its Lax pair with the obtained symmetries, as a result some reduced (1 + 1)-dimensional equations with their new Lax pairs are presented. At last, the conservation laws for the CH system are derived from a direct method.  相似文献

A loop algebra is constructed, whose subalgebra is first used to present a Lax pair. By making use of the Tu scheme by Tu Guizhang, a generalized (2 + 1)-dimensional KN hierarchy is worked out. The interpolation wavelet is used to solve the Fredholm integral equation of the second kind in this study. Hence, by the extension of interpolation wavelets that [−1, 1] is divided to 2N+1 (N    1) subinterval, we have polynomials with a degree less than M + 1 in each new interval. Therefore, by considering the two-scale relation the filter coefficients and filter matrix are used as the proof of theorems. The important point is interpolation wavelets lead to more sparse matrix when we try to solve integral equation by an approximate kernel decomposed to a lower and upper resolution. Using n-time, where (n  2), two-scale relation in this method errors of approximate solution as O((2−(N+1))n+1). Also, the filter coefficient simplifies the proof of some theorems and the order of convergence is estimated by numerical errors.  相似文献

A higher loop algebra is constructed, from which the integrable couplings associated with the (2 + 1)-dimensional dispersive long wave hierarchy is obtained with the help of the (2 + 1) zero curvature equation generated from one of reduced equations of the self-dual Yang–Mills equations. In this paper, we study the nonlinear dispersive K(m, n) equations: ut + (um)x  (un)xxx = 0 which exhibit solutions with solitary patterns. New exact solitary solutions are found. The two special cases, K(2, 2) and K(3, 3), are chosen to illustrate the concrete features of the decomposition method in K(m, n) equations. The nonlinear equations K(m, n) are studied for two different cases, namely when m = n being odd and even integers. General formulas for the solutions of K(m, n) equations are established.  相似文献

This study presents a network simulation of the global embodied energy flows in 2007 based on a multi-region input–output model. The world economy is portrayed as a 6384-node network and the energy interactions between any two nodes are calculated and analyzed. According to the results, about 70% of the world’s direct energy input is invested in resource, heavy manufacture, and transportation sectors which provide only 30% of the embodied energy to satisfy final demand. By contrast, non-transportation services sectors contribute to 24% of the world’s demand-driven energy requirement with only 6% of the direct energy input. Commodity trade is shown to be an important alternative to fuel trade in redistributing energy, as international commodity flows embody 1.74E + 20 J of energy in magnitude up to 89% of the traded fuels. China is the largest embodied energy exporter with a net export of 3.26E + 19 J, in contrast to the United States as the largest importer with a net import of 2.50E + 19 J. The recent economic fluctuations following the financial crisis accelerate the relative expansions of energy requirement by developing countries, as a consequence China will take over the place of the United States as the world’s top demand-driven energy consumer in 2022 and India will become the third largest in 2015.  相似文献

The construction of a spatio-temporal wavelet and its tuning to speed was first realized in the 90s on the Morlet wavelet by Duval-Destin (1991, 1993) [14], [15]. This enabled to demonstrate the capacities of the speed-tuned Morlet for psychovisual analysis. This construction was also used very efficiently in a powerful aerial target tracking algorithm by Mujica et al. (1999, 2000) [20], [21]. In the last decade, this tool was proposed as an elegant and efficient alternative framework to the Optical Flow (OF), the Block Matching (BM) or the phase difference, for the study of motion estimation in image sequences. Nevertheless, the aperture selectivity of the 2D + T Morlet wavelet presents some difficulties. Here we propose to replace the 2D Morlet wavelet by a Gaussian-Conical (GC) wavelet for the spatial part of the spatio-temporal wavelet, since the GC wavelet has a better aperture selectivity and allows a very simple adjustment of the aperture. Therefore we build a new, highly directional, speed-tuned wavelet called Gaussian-Conical–Morlet (GCM) wavelet. Like the speed-tuned 2D + T Morlet, the new wavelet presents very good characteristics in motion estimation and tracking, namely long temporal dependence, robustness to noise and to occlusions, and supersedes the OF (Optical Flow) and BM (Block Matching) techniques. However, for aperture selectivity, directional speed-capture and spectral recognition and tracking, GCM easily outperforms Morlet. Using homogeneous balance method we obtain Bäcklund transformation (BT) and a linear partial differential equation of higher-order Broer–Kaup equations. As a result, new soliton-like solutions and new dromion solution and other exact solutions of (2 + 1)-dimensional higher-order Broer–Kaup equations are given. By analyzing a soliton-like solution, we get some dromions solutions. This method, which can be generalized to some (2 + 1)-dimensional nonlinear evolution equations, is simple and powerful.  相似文献

After the nth repair, the process takes on either the value Xn?1 + 1 or Xn?1 + 2. The probability that Xn = Xn?1 + j, for j = 1, 2, depends on whether τ ? t0 (a fixed constant) or τ > t0. The device is considered to be worn out when Xn ? k, where k  {1, 2, …}. This model is based on the ones proposed by Rishel (1991) [1] and Tseng and Peng (2007) [2]. We obtain an explicit expression for the mean lifetime of the device. Numerical methods are used to illustrate the analytical findings.  相似文献
