We consider the unique solvability of the inverse problem of determining the right-hand side of a parabolic equation with the leading coefficient depending on time and space variables under a final overdetermination condition. We obtain two types of conditions that are sufficient for the local solvability of the inverse problem and also prove the so-called Fredholm solvability of the inverse problem under study.  相似文献

We find the conditions for the unique solvability of the inverse problem for a time‐fractional diffusion equation with Schwarz‐type distributions in the right‐hand sides. This problem is to find a generalized solution of the Cauchy problem and an unknown space‐dependent part of an equation's right‐hand side under a time‐integral overdetermination condition.  相似文献

We consider a one-dimensional perturbation of the convolution operator. We study the inverse reconstruction problem for the convolution component using the characteristic numbers under the assumption that the perturbation summand is known a priori. The problem is reduced to the solution of the so-called basic nonlinear integral equation with singularity. We prove the global solvability of this nonlinear equation. On the basis of these results, we prove a uniqueness theorem and obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of the inverse problem.  相似文献

In this paper, a constant heat transfer coefficient present in a nonlinear Robin‐type boundary condition associated with an elliptic equation is reconstructed uniquely from a single boundary energy measurement. Two types of such boundary energy measurement are considered, and solvability theorems for the solution of the resulting nonlinear inverse problems are provided. A new approach to one-dimensional inverse problem was recently introduced by Barry Simon. We continue the study on an intermediate object A, which satisfies a nonlinear integro-differential equation. We solve the problem of determining the hyperbolic equation coefficient depending on two variables. Some additional information is given by the trace of the direct problem solution on the hyperplane x = 0. In this paper, an inverse boundary value problem for a two-dimensional hyperbolic equation with overdetermination conditions is studied. To investigate the solvability of the original problem, we first consider an auxiliary inverse boundary value problem and prove its equivalence to the original problem in a certain sense. We then use the Fourier method to reduce such an equivalent problem to a system of integral equations. Furthermore, we prove the existence and uniqueness theorem for the auxiliary problem by the contraction mappings principle. Based on the equivalency of these problems, the existence and uniqueness theorem for the classical solution of the original inverse problem is proved. Some discussions on the numerical solutions for this inverse problem are presented including some numerical examples.  相似文献

We study the unique solvability of the inverse problem of determining the leading coefficient in the parabolic equation on the plane with coefficients depending on both time and spatial variables under the condition of integral overdetermination with respect to time. We obtain sufficient conditions for the unique solvability of the inverse problem. We present nontrivial examples of problems for which such conditions hold. It is shown that the imposed conditions necessarily hold if either the time interval is sufficiently large or the space interval on which the problem is considered is sufficiently small.  相似文献

The nonstationary Poiseuille solution describing the flow of a viscous incompressible fluid in an infinite cylinder is defined as a solution of the inverse problem for the heat equation. The existence and uniqueness of such nonstationary Poiseuille solution with the prescribed flux F(t) of the velocity field is studied. The paper deals with the Sturm–Liouville eigenvalue problem with the Dirichlet boundary condition at one end of the interval and with the boundary condition containing entire functions of the spectral parameter at the other end. We study the inverse problem, which consists in recovering the potential from a part of the spectrum. This inverse problem generalizes partial inverse problems on finite intervals and on graphs and also the inverse transmission eigenvalue problem. We obtain sufficient conditions for global solvability of the studied inverse problem, which prove its local solvability and stability. In addition, application of our main results to the partial inverse Sturm–Liouville problem on the star-shaped graph is provided.  相似文献

We consider the unique global solvability of initial (boundary) value problem for the Kirchhoff equations in exterior domains or in the whole Euclidean space for dimension larger than three. The following sufficient condition is known: initial data is sufficiently small in some weighted Sobolev spaces for the whole space case; the generalized Fourier transform of the initial data is sufficiently small in some weighted Sobolev spaces for the exterior domain case. The purpose of this paper is to give sufficient conditions on the usual Sobolev norm of the initial data, by showing that the global solvability for this equation follows from a time decay estimate of the solution of the linear wave equation. We discuss an inverse problem of determining a coefficient matrix and an initial value for a one‐dimensional non‐symmetric hyperbolic system of the first order by means of boundary values over a time interval. Provided that a time interval is sufficiently long and a given initial value satisfies some non‐degeneracy condition, we characterize coefficient matrices and initial values realizing the same boundary values. In the case where the initial value is fixed, we can prove the uniqueness in determining all the components of the coefficient matrices. This paper is concerned with global in time behavior of solutions for a quasilinear Petrovsky inverse source problem with boundary dissipation. We establish a stability result when the integral constraint vanishes as time goes to infinity. We also show that the smooth solutions blow up when the data is chosen appropriately. We study the simplest one-dimensional model of plasma density balance in a tokamak type system, which can be reduced to an initial boundary-value problem for a second-order parabolic equation with implicit degeneration containing nonlocal (integral) operators. The problem of stabilizing nonstationary solutions to stationary ones is reduced to studying the solvability of a nonlinear integro-differential boundary-value problem. The reconstruction of an unknown solely time‐dependent Dirichlet boundary condition in a nonlinear parabolic problem containing a linear and a nonlinear Volterra operator is considered. The inverse problem is converted into a variational problem in which the unknown Dirichlet condition is eliminated using a given integral overdetermination. A time‐discrete recurrent approximation scheme is designed, using Backward Euler's method. The convergence of the approximations towards a solution of the variational problem is proved under appropriate assumptions on the data and on the Volterra operators. The uniqueness of this solution is shown in the case that the nonlinear Volterra operator satisfies a particular inequality. Moreover, the Finite Element Method is used to discretize the time‐discrete approximation scheme in space. Finally, full‐discrete error estimates are derived for a particular choice of the finite elements.
